Abstract

Portable coolers and heaters use thermoelectric modules with an additional heat pipe as a heat transfer median. This research is to know the cooling temperature that can be achieved by the utilization of thermoelectric heat exhaust as heater with 6 volt input voltage. The effect of heat pipe usage on cooling and heating temperatures is also observed. In this study the use of heat pipe provides a better cooling effect where the temperature is lower than the test without heat pipes for 50 minutes. Achievement of cooling and heating chamber under non-heat-free heat pipe 23.41 oC and 32.36 oC, whereas by using heat pipe the achievement of cooling and heating chamber reaches 22.83 oC and 30.52 oC. Tests by using an additional heat pipe as a heat transfer achievement of cooling chamber and heating chamber become lower compared with testing without heat pipe.Keywords : Thermoelectric, Portable, Heat pipe, Input voltage, 6 volts.

Abstract

Bio-charcoal briquettes are one of the ingredients of fuel that derived from biomass. Biomass is one of the sources of energy that can be replaces. One of biomass that is used in this research is coffee skin and peanut skin. The research is aimed to utilize waste biomass as material fuel alternatives and determine the best comparison of coffee skin and peanut skin. This research is carried out a comparison between coffee skin and peanut skin with a ratio is 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 2:1 and 3:1 with the amount of damar resin 20% w/w. tests were carried out the water content, ash content, volatile matter, heat value, and rate of combustion. The result of the analysis are obtained: the lowest water content for the ratio 3:1 at 12.85%, the lowest ash content at the ratio 2:1 at 7.07%, the lowest volatile matter for the ratio 1:3 at 48.26%, the highest heating value for the ratio 3:1 at 7151.32 cal/g and the best rate of combustion for the ratio 1:1 at 0.1716 g/min. Abstract

Clean water services in Pangkalan Lesung Subdistricts in Pelalawana Regency still relies from bottle water, boreholes, river water, springs and rainwater, the quality and quantity of these sources not quaranteed. The need for water in Pangkalan Lesung District in 2038 reaches 144,24 l/sec. so it is necessary to plan a drinking water supply system for the next 20 years using raw water from the Kuyo River. Based on th mass balance analysis, it is found that units capable of processing raw water with water quality are in accordance withPERMENKES number 492 in 2010. The processing unit are planned for intake, pre-sedimentation, neutralization, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection and reservoar is useful for waterstorage before distribution. The volume of reservoar required is 1869,3 m3and need to do the addition of the distribution pump with capacity is 60 l/s and head pump is 55 m to drain the water to service area. The creationof a distribution network using the software EPANET 2.0 with trial and error in inserting the value of the pipe diameter so that it meets the technical criteria for design. Abstract

NADES is an environmentally friendly DES. DES (Deep Eutectic Solvent) is a eutectic compound formed from a mixture of HBA (Hydrogen Bond Acceptor) and HBD (Hydrogen Bond Donor) at a certain molar ratio with a lower melting point than its constituent components, so that DES can be prepared at low temperatures. Currently, DES is widely used in separation, catalysis, extraction and purification processes. DES preparation is relatively simple and can be made in two ways, namely by vacuum evaporation and heating. In general, the physico-chemical properties of DES depend on the type of HBA and HBA used. However, as research on DES develops, the physico-chemical properties also depend on the molecular interactions in DES. Molecular interactions can be analyzed using the FT-IR spectrum, based on the values of ΔH and GE. The smaller the values of ΔH and GE, the smaller the molecular interactions and the more stable the DES formed. Abstract

Methanol is the simplest form of alcohol with the chemical formula CH3OH. Methanol is commonly used for solvents, anti-freezing refrigerants, and fuels. Methanol is also an intermediate compound that is used as raw material for various industries including acetic acid, formaldehyde, MTBE, polyvinyl, polyester, and DME industries. The need for methanol in Indonesia continues to increase. The raw material used in this methanol plant design is natural gas. This methanol plant will operate for 330 days per year with a continuous work of 24 hours/day and a capacity of 200,000 tons/year which will be established in Dumai, Riau. The main equipment design in this plant is the Reactor Pre-Reforming which functions to form synthesis gas in the form of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2) with the help of H2O. The Pre-Reforming Reactor is operated at a pressure of 29.5 bar and a temperature of 550 ° C. The economic analysis on the design of this plant shows that the Methanol plant with the Lurgi Low Pressure process is feasible to be built with the profit after tax of Rp8,190,624,006,578 and the factory Payback Period (PBP) of 3.1 years. Abstract

Analysis of tidal components can be done with several methods, namely admiralty, semi graph, least square and so forth. Previous research indicates that the initial tidal data retrieval time has an effect on the result of tidal prediction. Tidal analysis method used in this research is admiralty method. Daily observation data of 15 days in each hour will be simulated against one hundred and fifty eight variations of time using Hijri calendar, to find out the initial variation of observational data that best matches the tidalprediction in bengkalis waters. The analysis results show that the smallest average RMSE value is on the initial variation of the 18th data for verification of the simulation data. The 18th days of the Hijri calendar is in the waning gibbous of moon phase, which is after the full moon phase. The tidal type of the location of the research based on the value of the Formzahl number entered in the classification of the double mixed tide prevailingtype (mixed tide prevailing semidiurnal).Keywords : tidal, method of Admiralty, Hijri calendar

Abstract

Since the inauguration of Regulation the Republic of Indonesia's Minister of Health No. 82 in 2013 concerning Hospital Management Information Systems obligates UNRI Hospital has a system that handles patient registration in the form of an information system. However, since its inauguration in 2013, UNRI hospital has used the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) which has been implemented since 2017. UNRI hospital still use conventional methods for patient registration and consultation. Prospective patients must fill in forms and submit equipment documents such as a photocopy of UNRI civitas identity card (for UNRI civitas) and Identity Card (KTP) and to register as a patient before consulting. This research uses Waterfall method in addition to being easily understood this method also has sequential stages so that there are no overlapping stages.. While the system design uses Context Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, and Use Case Diagrams. The database used is MySQL with notification feature from Firebase. There are two applications built, namely Website and Android. Website outputs are tested using the Black-Box and Android applications are tested using User Acceptance Likert Scale. Results of the Black-Box test are UNRI Hospital patient registration Websites with criteria such as display menu on the main page, print button on the patient registration page, add button on the notification page, etc. Results of User Acceptance testing on Android bassed on 33 questioner from 30 respondents has produced 87,12% Likert scale results. Abstract

The process of collecting information such as patient data, medical records and inventory at the Riona Dental Care Clinic are still using manual system. This has led to delays in creating, searching, and delivering information on medical records and inventory. Thus, it needs a capable system using web-based technology that can be improve health services and facilitate the management of medical records and inventory. The system is developed using CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database. This system design method uses Waterfall model which consists requirement analysis, system design, implementation, integration and system testing, and maintenance. The techniques used to perform system testing is black-box testing. The result of the testing stated that the system is free from syntax errors so that it can be said that the system is functionally running sufficiently good and in accordance with system requirements and produce output in accordance with what is expected. Abstract

As a province with the largest area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia, oil palm production in Riau continues to increase. When palm oil production increases, the residual waste of production also increases and has not been optimally utilized. This research aims to analyze characteristics of POFA (Palm Oil Fuel Ash) concrete by using additive silica fume with PCC (Portland Cement Composite) concrete as control. POFA is used as a partially substitute material of cement volume with variations 0% and 20%, which silica fume as addition material has constant levels in 10% of cement volume. In this research, the compressive strength and setting time of the concrete were tested. All variations were made and passed the curing stage for 28 days in plain water. The compressive strength test was carried using a cylindrical mold measuring 105 X 210 mm, while the setting time testing was carried out separately using the vicat tool. After the curing process, the specimens were immersed in peat water with immersion variations, namely 0.7, and 28 days. Setting time of PCC concrete is the longest binding time compared to other variations, in this research there are three variations. The final binding time of 145 minutes and the fastest final binding time, namely the variation with POFA 20% with the final binding time of 96 minutes. Concrete compressive strength was tested mechanically at 0, 7, and 28 days of peat water, while setting time was tested separately. The compressive strength plan is 20 MPa and peat water as immersion water of concrete has a pH 4.0-5.0. The results shows that the compressive strength of POFA variation concrete was higher than control concrete at 0 days of immersion with the highest compressive strength value at POFA 0% of 25,84 MPa. At 28 days of immersion, POFA 0% with silica fume was higher than the control. Increase level of POFA in mixture decrease the compressive strength to 21,18%. The lowest compressive strength than the control at POFA 20% of 25,76 MPa at 28 days. Based on the results of the test, it is concluded that the use of POFA affects the results of compressive strength and setting time. The results of the compressive strength test showed that more POFA in the concrete, the compressive strength tended to decrease at  age of 0, 7,  and 28 days. In testing the setting time, POFA has the effect of shortening the initial setting time and the final setting time. More levels of POFA decreased the setting time in this study. Abstract

Mono-diacylglycerol (MDAG) is a type of emulsifier that is widely used in the food and nonfood industries. Monoglycerides are also biodegradable and can be used as additives in food because they provide good effects. Its use can be found in bakery products, foods with low fat content. MDAG can be produced from the esterification process. The advantages of this technique are that the esterification process takes place at a lower temperature than glycerolysis and a shorter time than enzymatic hydrolysis. In the research on the synthesis of mono-diacylglycerol from Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) with glycerol, the best results were obtained at a temperature of 150 0C, yielding 74% yield, seeded at 160 0C, the emulsion stability value reached 72% with an ALB level of 39%. At a molar ratio of 1: 2, the MDAG brightness level was 85.57%. Keywords: Gliserol, Mono-diasilgliserol , PFAD
