Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine people's perceptions of the role Parsahutaon levies in the preservation of the Toba Perantau Batak community marriage tradition in DesaTanah Merah , Kecamatan Siak Hulu . The total population in this study was the entire community of Toba Batak tribes who were married in DesaTanah Merah, Kecamatan Siak Hulu , amounting to 186 families and the sample of this study amounted to 18 families. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis using Descriptive Quantitative. The results showed that data on public perceptions of the role of the Parsahutaon Dos Roha Collection in the Pelesratian Marriage of the Toba Perantau Batak Society in Desa Tanah Merah , Kecamatan Siak Hulu as a whole from 18 respondents stated Yes. This is appropriate in the percentage of 70.20% said to be "Good", 15.65% of respondents perceive sometimes and 13.38% of respondents have never shared the role of Parsahutaon Dos Roha's Levies in Preservation of the Toba Perantau Batak Community Marriage Tradition in Desa Tanah Merah Kecamatan Hulu. Thus it was concluded that the Community Perception of the Role of Parsahutaon Dos Roha in Preserving the Marriage Tradition of the Toba Perantau Batak Community in Desa Tanah Merah, Kecamatan Siak Hulu was Good. That is 70,20 % according to the benchmark number of those who answered Yes in the range of 66.67% -100% "GOOD.Keywords: Perception, Parsahutaon Levies, Preservation of Marriage Traditions

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve the student activity and achievement used Beach Ball learning strategy on solubility equilibrium subject at XI MIPA 6 of Senior High School (SMAN) 5 Pekanbaru in academic year 2017/2018. This research was an action research with two cycle design. Each cycleconsisted of two meetings included four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The collecting data used observation and test. The analysis data was describ with descriptively. The result of action showed that learning activity percentage of student improved and reached the success criteria. The learning activityof student percentage in first cycle was 57,24% with enough category and the secondcycle was 68,70% with good category. Student achievement was seen from mastery learning that enhances and have achieved success criteria. The percentage of student achievement in the first cycle was 79,70% and the second cycle was 89,74%. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that using IDEAL problem solving strategy can improve the activity and student achievement.Keyword: Beach Ball learning strategy, student learning activity, student achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to find out what types of cohesive devices used in analytical exposition texts written by the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru and to know how the frequency of appropriate and inappropriate of cohesive devices used in analytical exposition texts written by the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This was a descriptive research. The data were collected in April. The participants of this research were 35 students of class XI TKJ 1 of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. The students were selected to be the sample using cluster sampling technique. The writer collected the data by using writing test with four topics provided, the students asked to choose one topic. The result of this research showed that the students used 3 types of grammatical cohesion, they are reference, substitution, conjunction and 5 types ef lexical cohesion, they are repetition, collocation, hyponym, synonym, and antonym. The most frequent of appropriate and inappropriate of grammatical cohesive devices used by students was reference 341 ( 52.54%) with the correct use 314 ( 92.08% ) and the wrong use 27 ( 7.92% ). Then, followed by conjunction 107 (19.53%) which the correct use 266 ( 87.21% ) and the wrong use 39 ( 12.79% ), substitution 3 ( 0.46% ) which all the devices were correct, and ellipsis which 0%. The most frequent types of lexical cohesive devices used by students was repetition 162 ( 86.17% ) , collocation 12 ( 6.38% ), hyponym 7 ( 3.72% ), synonym 6 ( 3.19% ), antonym 1 ( 0.53% ) which all the devices were correct except metonym 0 ( 0% ).Key words: Cohesive devices, Writing, Analytical exposition texts.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to increase student learning motivation by means of impelentation of everyone is a teacher here model to motivation learning of VIII class SMP N 4 singingi hilir kabupaten kuantan singingi. The research was a kind of experiment. Research conducted at SMPN 4 singingi hilir kabupaten kuantan singingi. Samples from this study are students of class VIII2 as an experimental class and the students in class VIII4 as the control class, this sample was randomly selected after tests of homogeneity in all populations. Classes are classes given experimental treatment using Generative Learning learning model, while the control class is the class that was treated using the usual method implementation discussion. Based on the results of hypothesis testing data analysis obtained t> t table ie 27,93>2,021, his shows the differences in learning motivation of students that learning PPKn before and after bonds with and without the use of learning model everyone is a teacher here in class VIII SMPN 4 Singingi hilir Kabupaten singingi hilir. Thus the hypothesos which reads that is an affect of using everyone is a teacher here learning toward students’ learning motivation class VIII at SMPN 4 singingi hilir kabupaten kuantan singingi, can be accepted.Keyword : Everyone Is A Teacher Here, Learning Motivation

Abstract

Abstract: The study was aimed to determine the level of attitudes toward student science, student’s cognitive abilities and determine the relationship between attitudes toward science with the cognitive ability of physics science students in grade VIII SLTP in coastal areas (Kecamatan Pulau Merbau). The survey method was used as research method. The data of attitude toward science of student’s was obtained from questionnaire scores. Meanwhile the data of student’s cognitive ability was obtained from the result of mid term test. The results showed that the attitudes toward science of VIII grade students in coastal areas (Kec. Pulau Merbau) were in high category. While the cognitive abilities of students were in the low category. After the significance test was done, there was no significant influence between attitude toward science students with cognitive ability of students in class VIII SLTP in coastal area (Kecamatan Pulau Merbau).Keywords: Attitudes towards science, cognitive ability

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to uncover the communities perception of the tradition of sinamot in the marriage customs of the Batak Toba, as well as to advance the Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. The number of people in this study are all the leaders of the Batak Toba in the village, as to advance the Kecamatan Rambah. The population of this study was 286 heads of households and the sample in this study was 28 families. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis with qualitative description. The results showed that data on public perception of the tradition of marriageable sinamot revealed that 48% of respondents strongly agreed (SS), 23% agreed (S), 16% less agreement (KS), 12% disagreed (TS). Based on the benchmarks in the number who answered "Strongly Agree + Agree", this represents 71% in the range of 50.01% to 75% or "good". So that public perception of the tradition of sinamot in the marriage customs of the Batak Toba in the village, as for advancing in the Desa Suka Maju Kecamatan Rambah Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, has a good perception.Key Words: Perception, Community, Marriage, Sinamot

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics outcomes by applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is students in VII 8 class of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018, which amounted to 36 students. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process from before the action to the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria for knowledge increase from the basic score (33,33%) to (44,44%) at the first test and to (77,78%) at the second test. For the skills, the score increase from (58,33%) at the first test, to (80,56%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that appication of PBL can improve learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students in VII 8 class of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018 for the subject matter Circumference and Area Quadrilaterals Triangles.Keywords : Mathematics Outcomes, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Abstrack: This study seeks to explore the form of code mixing and lexical categories which are often exploited in the entertainment corners of local newspapers in Pekanbaru. It was conducted from January 2018 to July 2018. Qualitative reasearch and descriptive analysis method were applied in this study. The finding discovers that the forms of code mixing which had been observed in the entertainment corner are the insertion of words and hybrid. It also finds out that mostly 54.84% of English lexical categories have been code mixed into the entertainment corner of local newspapers in Pekanbaru were nouns. Therefore, the researcher confirms that there are some code mixing used by journalist into the entertainment corner of local newspaper in Pekanbaru.Keywords: Analysis, Code-Mixing, Entertainment Corner, Local Newspaper

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on Tradition Tabuik conducted by community of silver town of Pariaman. The problem formulation in this research is whether there are values of Pancasila in Tabuik tradition in Pariaman silver city. This study aims to determine the values of Pancasila in Tabuik tradition tradition in Kelurahan Perak of Pariaman City. This research was conducted in Kelurahan Perak city of Pariaman in January 2018 until May 2018. This research is descriptive qualitative which become informant in this research is informant chosen purposively as needed and combined with snowbowling technique. The informants studied are as follows: tabuik figures, cultural figures, community leaders, and people Pariaman. Using data collection techniques: Observation, Interview, Documentation Method with triangulation technique. Using the technique of data analyst Techniques: Data collection, reduction, presentation of data, conclusions and verification. Based on the results of research shows that there are values of Pancasila from the five sila namely, divine majesty, just and civilized humanity, Indonesian unity, led by the wisdom wisdom in the deliberation of representation and social justice for all the people of Indonesia.yang contained in tabuik tradition in the urban village of Pariaman silver. Thus the hypothesis that there are Pancasila value contained in tabuik tradition in Kelurahan Perak of the Pariaman City.Keywords: Pancasila Values, Tabuik Tradition of Pariaman Community.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the participation in preserving Randai art in Nagari Belubus Guguak Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota District. The formulation of the problem in this research is how high the participation rate of youth on randai art in Nagari Belubus Guguak Sub-district, Lima Puluh Kota District. After this research is conducted, it is expected to provide benefits to increase knowledge about matters relating to youth participation in preserving randai art by all classes, especially for researchers. This research is descriptive with quantitative approach which aims to describe the result of research with numbers. The sampling technique used simple sample random sampling technique (simple random sampling). Technique of taking data in this research is by technique of inquiry, which amounts to 45 item statement. Data were obtained from 20 respondents for sample and 33 samples for research sample. After the questionnaire was piloted, 5 items were invalid, and the researcher removed all of the invalid statement items. The result of data analysis shows that youth participation in preserving randai arts is moderate with average percentage score 55,204%. This means that youth in nagari belubus have a moderate level of participation. In view of all aspects and can also be concluded that the most dominant is to account for the activities of randai art.
