Abstract

Abstract : This research was aimed to find out the ability of the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending report texts. The data were collected from April to May. The population of this research is the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. The number of sample is 39 students who are chosen by using cluster sampling technique. This research is a pre experimental research with one group pre-test post-test design. The result of the data analysis showed that the mean score of pre-test is 61.33 while in post-test is 78.13. It showed us that the mean score of the post-test was higher than the mean score of the pre-test. In other words, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means that, there is a significant effect of Small Group Discussion method on the ability of the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending report texts. It is suggested that Small Group Discussion is one of the appropriate method to be implemented in teaching for comprehending report texts. It can be conducted by focusing to the students’ context.Keywords: Comprehension, Small Group Discussion Method, Report Texts.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of society at RT 04 RW 05 Kelurahan Sekip Kecamatan Lima Puluh Kota Pekanbaru toward Rebana Roudatul Jannah activity. The activities consist of human resources, organizing and administrating. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is society at RT 04 RW 05 (65 people) . The sample in this study are 39 people. Sampling in this study using Taro Yamane formula. The instrument in the study is a questionnaire containing 33 items of statements. The answer consists of four alternatives that are 1). strongly agree category (score 4), 2). agree scored 3 (three), 3). a score of 2 (two) is given to less agree and 4). disagree is scored 1 (one). The results revealed that the percception of society at RT 04 RW 05 Kelurahan Sekip Kecamatan Lima puluh Kota pekanbaru toward the rebana Roudatul Jannah interm of human resorces is 98,96% of the respondents strongly agree and agree, 2. Organizing is 94,53% 3. Administrasing is 95,89% of the respondent. It means that the implementation of the rebana Roudatul Jannah at RT 04 RW 05 Kelurahan Sekip Kecamatan Lima Puluh Kota Pekanbaru is executed properly.Key words : perception, society, activity, Rebana

Abstract

Abstract: This study purpose to determine the influence of reward and punishment on learning motivation IPS class VIII students in SMPN 29 Pekanbaru. The population in this study is all students of class VIII, amounting to 254 students with a sample of 72 students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. The result of research based on multiple linear regression has shown reward and punishment influence to motivation study of IPS student of class VIII at SMPN 29 Pekanbaru. Reward positive effect on learning motivation and punishment have negative effect on learning motivation, this can be seen from constant value (a) equal to 32,329, regression coefficient value (b) equal to 0,782, and regression coefficient (c) equal to -0,537 with regression equation 32,329+ 0.782R - 0.537P. Judging from the calculation of R2 (R Square Change) obtained value of 0.703. This means that the percentage contribution of reward and punishment variable to the variable of learning motivation is 70,3%. Based on these results, it is suggested that teachers improve reward and punishment to increase learning motivation. However, giving punishment to students who have low learning motivation should be wise and in accordance with the mistakes made by these students.Keywords: Reward, Punishment, Learning Motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: Research on application of learning model of Quantum Teaching has been done to know the improvement of learning achievement of learners on stoichiometric subject in class X SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Form of research conducted is experimental research with pretest-posttest design. This study was conducted on the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. The sample consists of two classes of class X MIPA 2 as the experimental class chosen at random after the normality test and homogeneity test. The experimental class is the treated class by applying the Quantum Teaching learning model. Data analysis technique used is t-test. Based on the results of final data processing using t-test formula obtained thitung> ttable (2.47> 1.67) means the application of learning model Quantum Teaching can improve student achievement in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Keywords: Quantum Teaching, Learning Achievement, stoichiometric

Abstract

Abstract: Problems in this study are students who feel embarrassed and afraid to speak, especially speaking in front of the class. A research is improve student’s speaking skills. In improving student’s speaking skills the researcher applies a communicative approach using classroom action research methods. This research was conducted 2 cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the results of Indonesian language learning research with the application of communicative approach shows an increase in speaking skills of class VA SDN 003 Bina Baru Kampar Kiri Tengah student’s both orally and in writing. This increase can be seen from the observation and implementation of corrective actions in each cycle. Cycle I that get very skilled result there are 1 person (4.76%), skilled there are 6 people (28,57%), skilled enough 11 people (52,38%), less skilled there are 3 people (23,81% ) and no students are not yet skilled. In the second cycle that got highly skilled results there were 5 people (23.81%), skilled there were 12 people (57.14%), quite skilled there were 4 people (19.05%) and no less skilled and unskilled students skilled. The observation of teacher activity in cycle I and first cycle of first meeting 63.89% increased to 83.33%, at the second meeting 68.06% increased to 91.67%. The result of observation of student activity on cycle I and first cycle of 57,78% first meeting increased to 77,78%, at second meeting 66,57% increased to 83,34%. Thus it can be said that learning communicative approach can improve student’s speaking skill result.Keywords: Speaking Skills, Bahasa Indonesia, Communicative Approach

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes mathematics of the fourth-c grade students of SDN 30 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau by implementing cooperative learning type TSTS. The subjects were students of class fourth-c grade whom have heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a class act with two cycles. Each cycle has three times and one UH in every end cycle and has four stages, the stages are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the research show the observation sheet activities of teacher and students have done after the action. The increasing  number of students who achieve at UH KKM in the end of every cycle compared to the number of students who achieve a score a KKM on basic score. This results of this study indicate that the application of cooperatif learning type TSTS can improve the process learning and improve the learning outcomes of the fourth-c grade students of SDN 30 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau in the odd semester academic year 2013/2014. Key words : Learning process, Mathematic learning outcomes, Cooperative learning, TSTS, Classroom action research.

Abstract

Abstract:The meaning of imperative is the purpose, objective or desire of speakers contained in an imperative speech. The imperative meaning is found in many forms of imperative speech and in various forms of meaning. The form of imperative speech is imperative construction based on formal structure. In a culture of society there must be a culture that is well known, both within the cultural environment of society itself and also other people's cultural environment, that’s how Batak Toba community creates its own cultural results. Batak Toba Community is a community which is living in North Sumatra that has a hard character and firm, both in behaving and speaking. Batak Toba community has many cultural results, one of cultural literatures known as folklore is Turi-Turian Si Jonaha. With exclusive character of Batak Batak community, the folklore of Turi-Turian Si Jonaha has many imperative speech in various forms in it. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of research was descriptive qualitative oriented to pragmatic theory. In addition to pragmatic theory, context was also used to analyze imperative speech contained in Turi-Turian Si Jonaha folklore. The number of imperative speech in the folklore Turi-Turian Si Jonaha brought this research focusing on the form of imperative construction itself. The result of this research indicates that 91 imperative speech were found and then analyzed and classified grounded on implicit meanings in this imperative itself. After being analyzed and classified, there were 14 types of imperative meaning found such as imperative of order, imperative of message, imperative of demanding, imperative of adjuration, imperative of exhortation, imperative of persuasion, imperative of appeal, imperative of invitation, imperative of permission, imperative of permitting, imperative of prohibition, imperative of hope, imperative of curse and imperative of suggestion.Keywords: imperative meaning, imperative speech, folklore

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve student’s achievement on the subject of  koloid  class XI in SMA Handayani Pekanbaru by applying Inquiry Pictorial Riddle. The research conducted is a research experiment cuasi with pretest-posttest design. Sample consists of two classes, XI IPA 2 as control class and XI IPA 1 as experiment class randomly selected after testing the homogeneity. Experiment class is a class that is treated by applying Inquiry Pictorial Riddle. Data analysis technique used is test-t. Based on research results obtained by the end of the data processing tcount > ttable is  2,46 > 1,67, that means application of Inquiry Pictorial Riddle  can improve student achievement on the subject of koloid class XI in SMA Handayani Pekanbaru. The improvement of learning achievement in the experiment class was supported by the influence coefficient value of 6,3%. Key Words: Inquiry Pictorial Riddle, learning achievement, koloid

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to see the relationship between the performance of cooperative administrators and the satisfaction of cooperative members. The population of this study were members of the Khizainul Khoir cooperative which amounted to 30 people and all were studied. The type of data from this study is primary data sourced from cooperative members using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques from this study use product moment with the help of SPSS. The results of the study show that the performance of cooperative administrators is positively related to the satisfaction of members of the Khizainul Khoir cooperative at 0.407.Keywords: Managemen, Performance, Member, Satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of managerial ownership and institutional ownership on financial performance. The population of this study are all manufacuring companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2014-2016 that have data managerial ownership, institutional ownership and financial performance there were 19 companies with a total years of observation 57. Data obtained from Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and website each company. The data analysis technique used in this research is path analysis with the help of SPSS program package. The results show that managerial ownership and institutional ownership simultan eously effect the financial performance. Partially, managerial ownership has a positive effect on financial performance and institutional ownership has a negative effect on financial performance.Keywords : Managerial Ownership, Institutional Ownership, Financial Performance
