Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning styles on student learning outcomes majoring in Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau. This study uses quantitative descriptive methods and the population in this study were all active student majoring in Social Sciences Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau in 2012 until the year of the year 2018 totaling 976 students and the samples were obtained using proportional random sampling techniques 98 respondents. Data collection instruments are questionnaires, documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, hypothesis testing, multiple linear regression analysis and the coefficient of determination with the help of SPSS version 16.0. The results of this study are the learning styles of the Department of Social Sciences Students of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Riau University, the most dominant is the auditory learning style, because the value of Beta Standardized Coefficient held by the auditorial learning style variable is greater than the other independent variables. While learning outcomes are in the form cumulative achievements values obtained by students of the Department of Social Sciences, Teaching and Education Faculty of Riau University are categorized as very high in the range between 3,50-4,00. Furthermore, from the influence of learning styles on learning outcomes obtained f count> f table thus Ho is rejected. Then it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning styles on student learning outcomes majoring in Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau. The contribution of learning styles to the learning outcomes of students majoring in Social Sciences Education in the Teaching and Education Faculty of Riau University is 40.7%. The rest is influenced by other variables not examined.Key Words: Influence, Learning Style, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research was designed to describe the student’s ability in comprehending descriptive texts and aimed to find out the students ability in comprehending descriptive texts. This research was conducted at SMPN 13 Pekanbaru that collected May to June 2017. The try out class was VIII-4 (30 students) and the sample was VIII-1 (30 students) chosen by cluster random sampling. The result showed that the ability of the second year students of SMPN 13 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts for each component is in good level which the mean score was 66.5, however, the students have not passed the minimum score of the school which is 80. finding factual information the mean score was 74, finding meaning of vocabullary was 59.3, finding references the mean score was 66.6, finding main idea the mean score was 70, finding inference was 60, and finding social function was 69.3. Therefore, this research suggested the English teachers to give extra time in giving explanation about reading texts and the students should learn the components in descriptive texts that will help them in comprehend other reading texts.Key Words: Student’s Ability, Comprehending Descriptive Texts.

Abstract

Abstract: Application Of Problem Based Learningmodel To Improve Student Learning Outcomes Of Grade IV SDN Kubu Babussalam.The purpose of this study is (1) describing the steps the use of Problem Based Learning Model in improving learning fractions in elementary school, (2) improve learning outcomes fractions in elementary school, (3) describe the problems and solutions using Problem Based Learning Model. Research subjects were students of grade IV SDN 010 Kubu Babussalam academic year 2016/2017, amounting to 22 students. The research in carried out in 2 cycle and every cycle consists of two times the meeting and 1 times daily test. The results showed that the using of Problem Based Learning Model can improve the learning fractions in implementing process improvement and student learning outcomes.Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Learning, Fractions

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the levels of lead (Pb) and Hemoglobin (Hb) in gas station’s operator in the city of Pekanbaru on May-July 2016. This research is descriptive research with cross sectional approach. This study consists of two phases i.e. phase analysis of the levels of lead (Pb) and Hemoglobin (Hb) in gas station operator in the laboratory and stage the draft Handout. Research samples taken with purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria. The sample of this research totalled 25 people consists of 18 men and seven women taken from a five gas station in the city of Pekanbaru.. Examination of the levels of lead (Pb) is done using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) and examination of the levels of Hemoglobin (Hb) using the Easy Touch GCHb. Research results obtained from the 25 people who examined 15 people (60%) have a high lead levels and low hemoglobin levels. Research results are then used as material enrichment on teaching biology in senior high school class X on the air pollution material in the form of a Handout design.Key Words: Lead (Pb), Hemoglobin (Hb), Gas stasion’s operator, Handout.

This research type is descriptive research that is research conducted to independent variable , that is without making comparison, or linking with other variable. The sample of this research is Early Childhood Education headmaster at Tampan sub district, Pekanbaru City consisting of 48 people. Data collection using questionnaires. Based on the results of the research note that the Head of Early Childhood Education at Tampan sub district, Pekanbaru City has an average of 79 , 54 % with good category.Keywords : Entrepreneurship Competence

Abstract

Abstract: Based on observations by the author in the academic year 2015/2016, the issue of lack of student learning outcomes is still a learning center teacher and often use the lecture method. Students are still less active and less passion, less attention in learning when the teacher explains, quickly get bored and talking with your seatmate. Students are less able to associate lessons learned with lessons to be learned. And things like that happen it causes the student's knowledge does not develop, the skills are not trained and students are not accustomed to solve its problems alone. IPS learning test results found to identify the problem as follows: Low levels of student ability, tetidakmampuan students complete assignments, students are less able to appear in front of the class present the results of the group work and the lack of instructional media as a supporter in the delivery of material. The subjects of this study are all fourth grade students who totaled 25 people and consists of 16 men and 9 women. In addition, researchers use the type of classroom action research conducted in two cycles during 4 meetings. Each cycle is carried out through four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique is carried out through tests, observations, and documentation. Activities of teachers and students using the Learning Koopertaif Type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) from the first cycle to the second cycle increased. So the use of Cooperative Learning Model in accordance denagan NHT expected. The results of students in grades Pre PTK obtained average is 67.2, while the first cycle with the average value is 71.4. For the second cycle occurred Improvement, the average value of 78.4. Improved student learning outcomes in basic score of 52%, UAS in the first cycle increased to 72% and the value of UAS in the second cycle to 92%.Key words: NHT, learning outcomes IPS

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to description poetry writing skills difference between the experimental class and control class. This research is a quasi-experimental research with design research "nonequivalent control group design". The sample in this research was class II SDN 79 Pekanbaru as many as 29 people. Analysis of the data used to analyze the results of the research are different test (t-test). Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the skill of writing poetrystudents experiment class with the control class because after Mann Whitney test score gains of students in the experimental class and control class with significance level α = 0.05 meets the criteria Zhitung <Ztabel namely 1.76 <1.96 means there are no significant differences between the skill of writing poetry students experiment class with the control class. However, the hypothesis in this research proved that there are effect of talk think write strategy to poetry writing skills of students. This is proved by the results of the test count determinant coefficient is known that the coefficient r (xy) on writing skills by using a strategy talk think write is 0.3959 and R2 of 16%, this suggests that strategies talk think write affect poetry writing skills of students by 16%, while the coefficient r (xy) on poetry writing skills of students using conventional learning is 0.1216 with a determinant (R) of 1.5% this suggests that strategies talk think write affect poetry writing skills of students by 16%. It is mean the talk think write strategy a positive influence on poetry writing skills of class II SDN 79 Pekanbaru.Key Words: talk think write strategy (TTW), writing poetry skill

Abstract

Abstrack: This study describes the types of deixis in 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning. The purpose of this study is to discuss and explain the types of deixis in 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning. This study uses a type of qualitative research not quantitative or numbers. Supporting techniques in this study use techniques documentation. Deiksis in 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning found, namely, (a) person deixis, (b) place deixis, and (c) discourse deixis. Based on the results of data analysis Known as the first type of single person deixis is saya, aku, hamba, daku, andan, patik, ananda, and Fatimah (nama) as self substitutes and the first persona is found are us and the awak. The second person deixis found is hulubalang, baginda, dinda, kanda, tuan muda, nek, datuk, dayang, bunda, ongku, and datuok. Personal deixis three found is ia, mereka, kalian, dan beliau, deixis where found is di sini, di sana. Sana. Ke sana, ini, and itu,, and discourse deixis are anafora and katafora.Key Words: Deixis, Deixis Type, 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia is a country with a population density of 100 inhabitants per km2, so Indonesia is not a country of overcrowding. The main problem encountered in connection with the population density is uneven spreading. Population distribution is uneven causing overcrowding in Java. Transmigration is a migration process that was engineered and implemented in a planned or controlled by the government. So transmigration is a social engineering with a clear purpose. Villagers Tanah Datar is a citizen of Transmigration. The purpose of this study was 1) to know the history of transmigration influx of residents in the village of Tanah Datar. 2) to determine the socio-economic development of society in 2004-2014 transmigration village of Tanah Datar. 3) to determine the factors that affect the income of residents transmigration village of Tanah Datar. 4) to determine the drivers of socio-economic development of citizens transmigration village of Tanah Datar. The method used in this research is descriptive. While this type of research method used was qualitative and quantitative. This research method is to reveal the facts, circumstances, phenomena, variables and circumstances that occurred while running the study, The study was conducted in the village of Tanah Datar, West Rengat subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu. Results from this study is that the people in the village trasnmigrasi Tanah Datar experiencing socio-economic development as seen from the year 2004 to 2014. Socio-economic development of the people in the village of Tanah Datar tarsnmigrasi divided into several indicators: education, health, employment and income.Keywords: Residents Transmigration, Social Economy

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is the speed of PTPN V Pekanbaru SSB students when dribbling is still not optimal, students still look slow in dribbling so students have difficulty in dribbling the ball to attack or when chasing opponents when defending. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the loop speed training on the dribbling skills of SSPN PTPN V Pekanbaru students. The population in this research were 14 students of PTPN V Pekanbaru SSB. In the research the sampling technique used was total sampling, so the sample in this study was 14 students of PTPN V Pekanbaru SSB. The instruments used to collect data are pre test and post dribbling test. The data analysis technique used is the t test. From the results of normality test data of pre-test and post-test dribbling skills of SSB students of PTPN V Pekanbaru, it was obtained that Lhitung pree test was 0.143 and Lhitung post test was 0.133 with Ltable value according to the number of samples of 14 people was 0.227. so Ltable> Lhitung or 0.227> 0.143 and> 0.133 so that it can be said that the data is normally distributed. Based on the results of the t test, obtained t count = 9,944> t table = 1,771. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the loop speed training on the dribbling skills of SSPN PTPN V Pekanbaru students.Key Words: Speed Loop Training, Dribbling Skills
