Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the factors that can affect student learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population was the XI class students of Accounting at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. From a total population of 32 students, and by using a census sampling technique that attracted all students as a sample. The data collection techniques used were documentation techniques to obtain learning outcomes, questionnaire techniques to obtain data about student learning interests and learning facilities at home, and conduct IQ (Intelligence Quotient) test technique to get data about intellectual intelligence. The collected data was then tabulated and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 22. The results showed that learning interest, intellectual intelligence and student learning facilities at home had a positive effect on student learning outcomes of class XI Accounting at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru with the regression equation Y = 50.084 + 0.333X_1 + 0.213X_2 + 0.401X3 and contributed 28.1% to student learning outcomes.Key Words: Factors, Learning Interests, Intellectual Intelligence, Learning Facilities At Home, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the potential of handout design in class X protista high school learning material. This research was conducted at the Binawidya Riau University in August-December 2020. The design of this handout refers to the ADDIE development model, the stage used is only the analysis and design stage. The analysis stage by analyzing the curriculum, syllabus, KD, and the material in accordance with the results of the study. The design stage is designing learning tools in the form of a syllabus and lesson plans, and designing a handout consisting of a cover, foreword, contents, study instructions, (KI, KD, and IPK), introduction, elaboration of subject matter, evaluation, and reference sources. The conclusion is the biology handout design on KD 3.6 and KD 4.6 specifically for protista topic can be used as handout teaching materials for Senior High School student Grade X.Key Words: Handout, Protista

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by problems that arise from observationsmade by researchers according to the reality that occurs in the field, indicating that thelack of attention to the condition of the library is often the cause of obstacles forstudents in enriching their knowledge through existing library materials as a means ofincreasing knowledge . The formulation of the problem in this study is "How is theinterest in reading in the school library for students in Pekanbaru State Junior HighSchool?". This study aims to determine what factors influence reading interest in theschool library for students at Pekanbaru State Junior High School. This research wasconducted at Pekanbaru State Junior High School in February-March 2020. Thepopulation in this study were 44 schools totaling 29025. The sample in this study was268 students. In this study, researchers used stratified random sampling. Readinginterest in the library of students at SMP Negeri Pekanbaru is influenced by severalfactors, namely respondents to the physiological factor variable which are in the highcategory, namely 119 respondents or (44.4%), the intellectual factor variable is in themoderate category, namely as many as 112 respondents or (41.8%), the environmentalfactor variable is in the medium category, namely 148 respondents or (55.2%) while thepsychological factor variable is in the High category, namely as many as 142respondents or (53%). The test results of multiple linear regression analysis show thatthere is a significance value of 0.004 <0.05, which means that there is an influence ofphysiological factors on students' reading interest in the school library. The test resultsof multiple linear regression analysis show that the intelligence factor variable has asignificance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an influence ofenvironmental factors on students' reading interest in the school library. The test resultsof multiple linear regression analysis show that the environmental factor variable has asignificance value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is an influence of environmentalfactors on students' reading interest in the school library. The test results of multiplelinear regression analysis show that the psychological factor variable has asignificance value of 0.001 <0.05, meaning that there is an influence of psychologicalfactors on students' reading interest in the school library.Key Words: Library Function Implementation, Reading Interest

Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive research aimed to find out the ability of English Study Program students in identifying passive voice. The population of the study was the second-year students of the English study program FKIP Universitas Riau. The sample was 39 participants selected by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument of the research was used a multiple-choice test which consists of 30 items. The instrument of the research consists of 6 tenses of passive voices including the simple present tense, present future tense, simple past tense, present perfect tense, present continuous tense, and modals. After calculating by using a quantitative method, students’ ability was highest in the form of simple present tense with a means score of 73.3 and is categorized into a good level and low score in the form of past tense with a means score of 40.5 and is categorized into a poor level. Overall, the result showed that students’ ability in identifying passive voices was at a mediocre level with mean score was 58. The finding implied that the second-year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau should improve their ability in understanding the formula of passive voices and the kinds of each tense to reach an excellent level.Keyword: Students’ Ability, Identifying, Passive Voices

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of shooting training by waiting their turn on the shooting accuracy of the SMK N 1 Kandis football team. This research was conducted at the soccer field in Rokan village, Kandis sub-district in October - December 2019. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design approach with a sample of 16 people. After conducting research that was started from the initial data collection (Pree-test), the calculation resulted in a Lhitung of 0.1796 and a Ltable of 0.213, it can be concluded that the results of the pree-test were normally distributed and from the final data collection (Post-test) a calculation was carried out that resulted Lhitung of 0.2022 and Ltabel of 0.213 can be concluded that post-test results data are normally distributed. Then based on the analysis of t test results obtained tcount of 7 and ttable of 1.75 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.Key Words: Shooting, Waiting Turn, Accuracy

Abstract

Abstract: Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) or the Corona virus has changed the order of people's lives in the world, including Indonesia. Education is one of the sectors that makes changes to face-to-face data systems bold. This research was carried out at SMPN 6 Pekanbaru in class VII students, amounting to 435 students who became the population. The sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a certain balance which revealed 220 students who were the sample. This type of qualitative descriptive research uses a survey method with a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire conducted online. Data analysis using SPSS 25 statistical assistance by testing the validity of Rcount> from Rtable (423) was declared valid, and the results of the 8 statement items were declared valid. Furthermore, the reliability test where RAlpah> 0.600 is declared reliable, then from the 8 items the statement gets a reliable result of 0.896, and the usability test which is to determine the level of effectiveness of the Pennjaspedia application then categorized using the usability level obtained from the overall percentage of respondents' answers of 56 ,8% "very good" so that this physical education application can be used continuously as a physical education learning medium for seventh grade students at SMPN 6 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the Penjaspedia application with the title "Very Good" concluded that the use of smartphone media during the Covid-19 period in supporting the physical education learning process at SMPN 6 Pekanbaru was very effective and efficient.Key Words: Covid-19 Pandemic, Physical Education, Effectiveness of the PenjaspediaApplication

Abstract

Abstract: Tionghoa-Indonesia ethnic is one of the ethnic groups in indonesia whose ancentral origins come from China. Tanjung Pinang is a city dominated by Tionghoa ethnic with a percentage of 58.86%. Tanjungpinang is inhabited by diverse population of ethnic groups, hence since the beginning of their arrival, the chinese ethnic must be interact with these different groups. Therefore Tionghoa ethnic develops into a separate society in the midst of complex social, cultural, economic and political life in Tanjungpinang. The purpose of this study : 1) to discover the beginning of the arrival of chinese ethnic in Tanjungpinang; 2) to learn the adaptation of Tionghoa ethnic in interacting with community in Tanjungpinang, 3) to ensure the development of the chinese ethnic community in Tanjungpinang during the new era period between 1965-1998; 4) to determine the impact of the arrival of the Tionghoa ethnic in Tanjungpinang within the social, economic and culture fields. This research uses historical method. Historical method is a method that focuses on past research implement by gathering previous research sources that are used as a reference in writing history. The arrival of Tionghoa ethnic in Tanjungpinang began when Malay and Bugis noblemen brought large numbers of Tionghoa people from Malacca to become uncaria gambir plantation workers. In conclusion, the factor that cause the entry of Tionghoa ethnic in Tanjungpinang is because there are certain interests related to the exploitation of natural resources, which is to be employed as gambir plantation workers. The existence of Tionghoa ethnic in tanjungpinang had an impact on society in terms of Both economy and culture. In the economic field, the Tionghoa ethnic are able to increase economic growth in Tanjungpinang, this is evidenced by the large number of private companies established by them. Moreover, in culture field the existence of Tionghoa ethnic could also gives the diversity of traditions such as Chinese New Year celebrations, Cap Go Meh, Chinese New Year bazaar, dragon boat show as well as lion dance performance.Key Words: Tionghoa Ethnic,Tanjungpinang

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to see whether there is a significant effect of shuttle run training (X) on the increase in agility (Y) in badminton male athletes PB. Chevron Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at the Enau Complex, Gelora PB.Chevron, from November 2019 to January 2021, while the training process itself was given after the new normal from June 22 to July 31 2020 for 18 meetings by following the standard covid-health protocol. 19. From the results of successful research, the shuttle training method is quite effective in increasing the agility of the 6-point shadow motion using exercise doses for 16 times face to face. The shuttle run exercise is a component of agility training, so an increase in the agility of the 6-point shadow motion can occur in this research. This is evidenced by the increase in shuttle run data with a mean of 2.14 points / 30 seconds. So it can be summarized that there is a significant effect of shuttle run training (X) on increasing agility (Y) in badminton male athletes PB. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of the research was to find out whether there is a significant correlation between students’ reading interest and their reading speed. The subject of this research was the fifth semester students of English Study Program of FKIP UR 2020. This quantitative research used a questionnaire and reading speed tests. The data were collected Online using Google Form. The total number of samples (N) is 36. The average score of reading interest (variable X) is 2429 and the average score of reading speed (variable Y) is 8351. The sum of multiple score of both variables (XY) is 571004.7. The sum of quadrate score of reading interest (X2) is 167525 and the sum of quadrate of reading speed (Y2) is 1985457. Students’ reading speed is categorized into average level with the average score 231.97. The result of the correlation index between variable X and variable Y is 0.57. and this research showed that the correlation between students’ reading interest and their reading speed is in moderate level.Key Words: Correlation, Reading Interest, Reading Speed

Abstract

Abstract: One of the tribes in Riau Province is the Akit Tribe. The Akit tribe is a tribe that inhabits North Rupat Island. One of the tribal traditions of the Akit tribe is a healing ritual called Bedekeh. Bedekeh is a sacred healing ritual where the Akit tribe still believes that all human diseases are caused by disturbance by spirits. The objectives of this study are 1) to know the origin of the Bedekeh treatment ritual, 2) to know how the process of the Bedekeh treatment ritual, 3) to know how the sick people perceive the Bedekeh treatment ritual, 4) to know how the sick tribal community perceives medical treatment. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that 1) bedekeh ritual has existed since the time of their ancestors and has been passed down from generation to generation. 2) The process of implementing the bedekeh of the Akit Hatas tribe in Titi Akar Village, the first is the preparation stage before the bedekeh ritual, the second is the bedekeh ritual, the third stage is after the bedekeh ritual. 3) The Akit Hatas community's perception of bedekeh treatment still maintains the ritual because they consider it a legacy from the ancestors. 4) The perception of the Akit Hatas community towards medical treatment is quite helpful and some are of the view that medical treatment has side effects because it uses unnatural chemicals.Key Words: Treatment Ritual, Bedekeh, Akit Hatas Tribe, Titi Akar Village.
