Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by a phenomenon that arises based onobservations during the lecture period before using the network, there are still studentswho keep in touch with their smartphones because they are bored, bored, sleepy andless interesting learning materials. Then based on the results of the pre-surveyconducted by researchers, it was found that students could use their smartphones inabout ± 20 hours a day and even students could use their smartphones for up to 24hours a day because smartphones have become a necessity in everyday life. This studyaims to determine the effect of smartphone use on academic achievement of students inthe Pancasila and Citizenship Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training andEducation, University of Riau. The population in this study were students of the PPKnFKIP Riau University Study Program with a sample of 56 students. The instruments inthis study were observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Thisresearch method uses quantitative descriptive analysis, the data is analyzed usingsimple linear regression. So, the hypothesis in this study is accepted, where the use ofsmartphones and their effect on academic achievement of students of the PPKn FKIPRiau University study program shows excellent results. Because based on thecalculation, it is known that the coefficient of determination (R square) is 0.464, whichimplies that the effect of the independent variable (smartphone use) on the dependentvariable (academic achievement) is 68.1%.Key Words: Smartphone Usage, Influence and Academic Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The use of learning media is very necessary for the delivery of modules, especially on light modules and optical devices that can explain the concepts virtually. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to produce WEB media based on the Lectora inspire type 17 application on light materials and optical instruments in junior high schools and to determine the validity of the learning modules developed. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp model which is only limited to 4 stages, namely the Preliminary investigation, design, realization/construction, evaluation, and revision stages. The data was obtained in the form of the average validation results of three validators. The results showed that the average validity of the overall assessment in validation II was 3.5 with a very valid category. So it can be concluded that the learning module using WEB media based on the Lectora inspire type 17 application on light materials and optical devices in junior high schools are categorized as valid and suitable for use as a medium for learning physics in junior high schools.Keywords: Learning Module, Lectora Inspire Type 17, Plomp Model.

Abstract

Abstract: The attitude of nationalism among students today is classified as apprehensive, such as student brawls, not being solemn in attending ceremonies, not memorizing nationalist songs. This study aims to determine the role of teachers in improving attitudes of nationalism in learning history for students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative method by taking research at SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. The informants in this study were history teachers and students. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used in this research is qualitative data analysis. The results of this study are as follows: the attitude of nationalism among the XI IPS grade students of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru in terms of being proud to be an Indonesian nation, willing to sacrifice for the nation, love the country and the nation, accept diversity, pride in diverse cultures, appreciate heroic services. the whole is already growing among students. The role of the teacher in increasing the attitude of nationalism in the history learning of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru is to always guide and provide moral messages to students, provide nationalism values by telling stories of heroes in the teaching and learning process, using various methods so that students not easily bored, and this method is considered effective. Teachers 'obstacles in improving students' attitudes of nationalism are factors of different family backgrounds, school environmental factors and factors of globalization or the use of the internet that have a negative impact. The effort made by the teacher is to approach students so that they always leave actions that can damage student morals and provide religious values in between learning.Key Words: Teachers, Nationalism Attitudes, History, Students

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the problem of inheritance distribution of pusako randah property in Lubuk Basung village which is in contrast to the collective inheritance distribution system for high pusako assets in the Minang indigenous community, whose inheritance rights are owned by heirs based on maternal or female lineage. In addition, it also contradicts the matrilineal kinship of the indigenous peoples in Minang where women are considered more dominant and are the successors of a family lineage. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the implementation of inheritance distribution of pusako randah property in Lubuk Basung Kenagarian in the Minangkabau customary environment of West Sumatra. West. In processing the data the researchers used a qualitative method, the population in this study were some of the people in the Kenagarian Lubuk Basung with a sample that the researchers took was 5 people who were taken from traditional elders / ninik mamak and also community leaders in the Lubuk Basung Kanagarian. The data analysis technique used in this study is based on several opinions from respondents or using words. In qualitative data analysis, according to Miles and Huberman, it is carried out interactively through a process of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data collection techniques used are interview, observation, and documentation methods. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers in the field, the implementation of the distribution of the inheritance of the Minangkabau community tends to apply the Islamic heritage system but in practice the distribution is carried out on the basis of the principles of deliberation and consensus, where the distribution is carried out equally. This is because the community's soul likes to deliberate in determining a decision and in order to maintain family harmony so that there is no dispute or friction between the heirs.Key Words: Distribution Inheritance, Property Pusako Randah

Abstract

Abstract: Kanji is a means of communication in Japanese society in writing. Inside the kanji there are elements that represent the basic meaning called bushu. Therefore, an understanding of bushu is necessary to understand the kanji. This study aims to describe the changes in the meaning of bushu kanji, namely hi hen and renga found in Jouyou Kanji (daily use of kanji). The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Kanji dictionaries and books on the formation of the origin of kanji are used to look for changes in meaning in bushu hi hen and renga. The results of the analysis of this study found a change in meaning from concrete to abstract, general to specific and some kanji are difficult to find changes.Key Word : Kanji, Bushu, Hi Hen, Renga, Semantic Change

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to find out the level of the first year students of SMK Labor Binaan FKIP Universitas Riau in vocabulary mastery. The sample of this research is ADP 2 which was choosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The number of the student is 30 students. The data obtained by giving multiple choice test. About the test, the students are asked to choose the appropriate vocabulary based on the context of the test. The test consist of 7 indicators of vocabulary. There are synonym, antonym, collocation word, noun, verb, adjective and adverb. The result shows that the students score in vocabulary mastery is 54.79, and the students have problem in verb with mean score 32.26 % of correct answers and adverb with mean score 44.99%. In conclusion, from the result above shows that the students’ vocabulary mastery level of SMK Labor Binaan FKIP Universitas Riau is in mediocre level..Key Words: Study, Vocabulary, Mastery

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is that due to the lack of use of the leg strength in rejection, the results of the jumps achieved are on average 2-3 meters. This type of research is a form of Matching-Only Design research. that is, linking subjects together based on certain variables. The aim of this research was to compare the effect of knee jump and jump and fixt training on leg muscle strength. The population in this research consisted of 8 extracurricular students of class X athletic long jump at SMA Negeri 7 Pekanbaru. The sampling technique uses total sampling, where the total population is sampled. The data collection technique was obtained from the pre-test and the post-test in groups 1 and 2. The instrument in this research used the vertical power jump test as an instrument to measure leg muscle strength. The pre-test result data after calculating the LoMaks group 1 was 0.343 and the L table was 0.381, and the group 2 LoMaks was 0.222 and the L table was 0.381, this means that LoMaks is smaller than L table, there can be concluded that it is normally distributed. In the homogeneity test, data for groups 1 and 2 was 6.39. Given that Fcount (1.23) <of Ftable (6.39), it can be concluded that the two variances are homogeneous. The analysis was performed using t-test and F-test. Based on data analysis and discussion, the t-table value appears to be at the significant level of 0.05 1.943, this means that the value of tcount (2.333)> ttable (1.943) is the hypothesis that there is a difference in the effect is jumping off the knee ramp and jumping and fixating on muscle strength limbs of students undertaking athletic extracurricular activities in the long jump track of Class X SMA Negeri 7 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Knee Tuck Jump and Jump and Fix Exercises, Leg Muscle Strength

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the timeliness of reporting financial statements on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2018. The population in this study is that there are 21 companies that do not report their financial reports on time for the 2014 to 2018 period. There are 9 companies selected as samples using purposive sampling. The data used in this study is secondary data, by collecting the required information from the internet in the form of financial reports 2014 to 2018. the techniques used to analyze the data are descriptive statistics, logistic regression, hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that profitability and liquidity have a significant effect on the timeliness of financial reporting, while company size and leverage have no significant effect on timeliness of financial reporting. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the birth of legal political products, namely UU No. 19 year 2019 the Second Amendment to UU No. 30 year 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission. In UU No. 19 year 2019, there is a Supervisory Board tasked with overseeing KPK Leaders and Employees in carrying out their duties. As a result, there has been much speculation in the community that says the KPK Supervisory Board will hinder the KPK's performance. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the students' perceptions of the implementation of the KPK Supervisory Board duties in UU no. 19 year 2019 at Universitas Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of the implementation of the KPK Supervisory Board duties in UU no. 19 year 2019 at Universitas Riau Pekanbaru. The benefit of research results for students is to increase knowledge about student perceptions of the implementation of the KPK Supervisory Board duties in UU No. 19 year 2019 at the University of Riau. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, the data collection instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews which consisted of 20 questions with 6 indicators. The population in this study were undergraduate students (S1) at the University of Riau. The sampling technique in this study used quota sampling and incidental sampling. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the results of the calculation of respondents who answered "strongly agree" amounted to 20.45% plus the results of the calculation of respondents who answered "agree" amounting to 45.95% so that the sum of the results was 66.4%., wherein the range of 50.01% -75% is in the "Good" category.Key Words: Perception, Students, KPK Supervisory Board, UU No. 19 year 2019

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to describe the differences in achievement motivation of students majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Social Sciences class XI SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The method used in this research is quantitative with the type of comparative research. The population consists of 356 students and the number of samples taken using random sampling technique is 36 students from the Mathematics and Natural Sciences department and 36 students from the Social Sciences department. The data collection instrument used an achievement motivation questionnaire which was adapted from Djaali & Mulyono’s book and distributed via google form. Data analysis used t-test analysis. The result of the research is that the achievement motivation of students majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences is very high and students majoring in Social Sciences is high. From the results of the t-test analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there are differences in achievement motivation between MIPA and Social studies majors during the Covid-19 Pandemic.Key Words: Achievement Motivation, Online Learning
