Abstract

A well performed natural ventilation in public buildings is crucial especially its contribution as health ventilation. Church of St. Yohanes Maria Vianney, used as the objectof this study holds a matter where the building has poor air circulation. The affecting factors are the ventilation’s orientation and ventilation’s ratio to building’s area and floor area. The analysis begins with 2 stages. First is to identify the shape, dimensions and placement of ventilations, then analyze the existing site subsequently make optimal design alternatives. Second, observations and inserts building section into the Energy 2D simulation to see the wind flow entering the building. Then, new design alternatives were put into the simulation to find out the kind of optimal ventilation for the best building's natural ventilation performance. The research results regarding air flow problems inside of the building still does not dilute and remove pollutants well. Therefore, in alternative design recommendations, ventilationsat the top of the building are added and change the permanent windows to pivoted windowsto increase the ratio of ventilations to the area of the facade to 50% and the ratio of ventilations to the area of the building to 19.3%, so that the distribution of fresh air throughout the building becomes optimal. Abstract

The interior of the postnatal hospital room has a significant influence on psychological comfort in postpartum women. A comfortable and positive interior atmosphere can reduce the stress and anxiety experienced by postpartum women. Interior visual elements such as colour, lighting, decoration, and interior vegetation can provide psychological comfort to patients. RSIA Melati Husada is the only RSIA in Malang with the highest title of Plenary and the majority of its patients feel comfortable with its interior conditions. However, there are differences in interior design between previous studies and the interior in this RSIA. The purpose of this study is to identify how the interior design of the hospital room can be a reference and to find out the visual elements of the interior of the hospital room that are able to influence the psychological comfort of postpartum women. The research method is descriptive qualitative with a Post-Positivism paradigm to compare previous theories with field conditions. The results of the comparison analysis between the Grand Theory and empirical data were validated by interviews with postpartum patients to determine their suitability. The results of the data triangulation discussion resulted in an interior design reference that was able to influence the psychological comfort of postpartum patients. In addition, it was found that the visual interior elements that are able to influence psychological comfort in postpartum women are elements of colour, material, decoration, lighting, view, and privacy, and based on patient preferences, the element that most influences their psychological comfort is the decoration element. Abstract

Restaurant as one of the commercial buildings that can meet the primary needs of society. In tourist areas, restaurants are not only a place to eat but also a place to rest and recreation. Garut as one of the districts which is a tourist destination in West Java has a fairly high development of restaurants. The restaurant that will be focused on in this research is a restaurant with a cross-legged concept which usually has a large area. So that restaurants with this concept have a variety of layouts. Visitors as parties who are the key to the success of a restaurant have their own perceptions of the restaurant, they are interested in. This study aims to determine visitor perceptions of the spatial configuration of restaurants with the Lesehan concept in Garut. The quantitative method is used through a public perception approach where respondents are asked to assess seven variables related to micro-spatial configuration (zoning, circulation, spatial pattern, arrangement and configuration of furniture, supporting facilities such as toilets; prayer rooms; and parking). The results showed a positive score for all assessments, where zoning had the highest score and toilet support facilities had the lowest score. Furthermore, the results can be used as a reference for restaurant managers in building a restaurant with a cross-legged concept.

Abstract

Permasalahan elemen visual kawasan perkotaan merupakan akibat dari perbedaan berbagai kepentingan, kemampuan dan persepsi dari masyarakat yang tercermin pada kondisi fisik kawasan yang menimbulkan komposisi visual yang sulit dikenali. Revitalisasi kawasan Taman Ismail Marzuki dilakukan untuk menghidupkan kembali kawasan sebagai pusat kesenian di Jakarta dan sarana edukasi. Penambahan bangunan baru dengan beragam fasilitas turut dilakukan pada revitalisasi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kesesuaian elemen visual fasad bangunan pada pembentukan citra kawasan. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan mendeskripsikan hasil pesepsi masyarakat mengenai elemen visual fasad bangunan di kawasan Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa elemen visual fasad bangunan di kawasan Taman Ismail Marzuki yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap pembentukan citra kawasan. Elemen fasad gaya arsitektur, dinding, sun shading, dan ornamen merupakan keempat elemen tersebut dapat membuat bangunan memiliki ciri khas atau karakter yang membentuk citra kawasan dari Taman Ismail Marzuki menjadi lebih baik. Abstract

Comfort is one of the aspects that plays a role in supporting human activity, one of which is thermal comfort. Therefore, it is important to know visitor perceptions and the influence of UB Coffee's semi-open building design in providing thermal comfort. The space is a semi-open café with no sufficient cooling device, so user comfort highly depends on the thermal environment condition which has high humidity. This research was conducted using quantitative methods through field measurements and distributing questionnaires. The results showed that visitors felt quite comfortable with UB Coffee's thermal conditions and semi-open design. The results also show that the wind speed has a significant effect on visitor comfort out of the other two variables, air temperature and air humidity. The semi-open design is implemented through the use different types of natural ventilation such as rosters, 2.9m wide openings for access, and hollow aluminum trellis doors. However, overall openings allow the wind flow to create natural cross-ventilation so the air circulation is maintained. Good air circulation increases evaporation so that the high humidity from the environment around UB Coffee can be reduced and creates comfort for the users.

Abstract

Perumahan merupakan salah satu jenis tempat tinggal yang sampai saat ini masih menjadi pilihan paling banyak bagi warga masyarakat dalam memilih jenis tempat tinggal. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan perumahan tidak lepas dari tipe dan desain rumah, fasilitas perumahan, dan pertumbuhan penduduk. Aksesibilitas perumahan yang merupakan fasilitas perumahan dan desain yang merepresentasikan rumah menjadi faktor yang kemudian dikerucutkan menjadi gerbang perumahan. Pertumbuhan penduduk khususnya yang terjadi pada wilayah Jabodetabek menjadi salah satu alasan banyaknya perumahan yang berlokasi di wilayah Lippo Cikarang yang juga merupakan kawasan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian masyarakat terhadap kualitas visual desain gerbang perumahan di wilayah Lippo Cikarang. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dengan pendekatan preferensi masyarakat umum yang diuji dengan penyebaran kuesioner pada warga kecamatan Cikarang Selatan. Responden diminta untuk menilai enam variabel yang berkaitan dengan kualitas visual gerbang perumahan yang terdiri dari: gaya arsitektur, elemen vertikal, elemen horizontal, material bangunan, komposisi warna, dan proporsi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa seluruh variabel pada gerbang perumahan yang menjadi objek penelitian bernilai positif. Abstract

Signage is known as directions, road signs, location instructions, or information instructions so that it can communicate between the architecture and its users on the exterior and interior landscape of the building. The mall is a public facility with a complex type of space; mall visitors are regular old visitors and new visitors who come to the mall for the first time. So it takes markers and directions so that visitors feel comfortable. The purpose of this study was to determine the visibility and legibility aspects of the signage design at Royal Plaza Mall Surabaya which includes typography, color, layout, and signage installation position. The method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method by explaining the condition of the signage at the Royal Plaza Mall Surabaya in detail according to the facts on the ground. Next, examine the signs based on existing theories in the form of a literature review. The findings from this study are that in general, the signage design of Royal Plaza Mall Surabaya in terms of visibility and legibility with the observation units for typography, color, layout, and signage installation positions are in accordance with the standards in theory. However, when signage is identified in more detail according to aspects of each research unit, some signage still has deficiencies in legibility aspects such as letter spacing, the vertical spacing between typography, and the use of colors that are not quite right on identification signs.

Abstract

Efisiensi merupakan salah satu kriteria yang krusial dalam perancangan bangunan rumah sakit, terutama dalam memastikan alur pasien dapat berjalan secara efisien. Dari hasil observasi awal dan wawancara di RSIA Melati Husada, diketahui jumlah pergerakan oleh pasien lebih banyak terjadi di area instalasi rawat jalan berbanding area instalasi lainnya, sehingga hal ini menjadi urgensi untuk meneliti efisiensi sirkulasi pada bangunan ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi langsung dan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis space syntax. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat keterkaitan antara sirkulasi di bangunan RSIA Melati Husada dengan efisiensi alur pasien di area rawat jalan bangunan tersebut ditampilkan dengan diagram kompleksitas alur pasien, namun setelah diuji pada tingkat efisiensi berdasarkan skala jarak dan waktu, hubungan antara kedua variabel ini tidak secara absolut atau mutlak. Hal ini kemungkinan dikarenakan adanya faktor lingkungan seperti penataan perabot maupun adanya elemen tangga dan signage dalam bangunan yang turut berkontribusi dalam penentuan jalur yang dilalui pasien yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhi efisiensinya. Abstract

Bangunan bersejarah memiliki peran penting untuk mengedukasi masyarakat yang memiliki minat dengan sejarah, terutama civitas akademika untuk referensi dan informasi data pada salah satu bangunan yang sudah dikenal sejak lama, yaitu De Javasche Bank. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat memenuhi penyusunan desain antarmuka adalah Figma. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengintegrasi elemen karakter yang dimiliki De Javasche Bank dengan aplikasi Figma. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan tahapan observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi pustaka terkait, dan dilanjutkan dengan pengambilan data kuantitatif yaitu usability study yang melibatkan 20 responden dalam rentang usia 20-29 tahun. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu elemen fasad, ruang dalam, dan massa bangunan De Javasche Bank menentukan karakter yang dimiliki, yaitu neo-renaissance. Ketiga unit amatan dilakukan dan diintegrasikan dengan Figma sebagai desain antarmuka dan memperoleh nilai akhir 4,36 dengan kategori sangat layak.

Abstract

Era revolusi industri 4.0 dan munculnya pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada tekanan psikologis manusia yang berjalan lurus dengan peningkatan penderita gangguan kesehatan mental. WHO menyebutkan dalam tahun 2019 sebanyak 970 juta orang di seluruh dunia hidup dengan gangguan mental. Kesehatan mental adalah keadaan keseimbangan individu untuk mampu berfungsi secara efektif yang berdampak pada kemampuan untuk bertindak produktif dan berkontribusi kepada masyarakat. Dibuatlah gagasan perencanaan desain fasilitas wisata kesehatan yang berfokus pada paningkatan kesehatan mental dalam bentuk resor kesehatan dengan fasilitas yang terdiri dari spa, yoga, pusat kebugaran, meditasi, pusat spiritual, pusat pendidikan, area hewan peliharaan, unit kesehatan, dan fasilitas aktivitas luar ruangan. Pendekatan arsitektur yang digunakan adalah arsitektur berbasis salutogenesis yang dikembangkan oleh arsitek Alan Dilani berdasarkan teori salutogenesis Antonovsky. Elemen desain berdasarkan salutogenesis terdiri dari crowding space, nature, landmarks, daylight, sunlight, windows, the restorative environment, accessibility and way finding, color, music/noise, art/aesthetic elements, culture dan space for social support. Desain yang dihasilkan berupa ruang binaan yang dapat menghubungkan manusia dengan alam secara visual dan fisik, dilengkapi dengan kemudahan aksesibilitas, meningkatkan dukungan dan komunikasi sosial, dan secara langsung memberikan kepuasan visual, suara dan kelengkapan fasilitas dan dapat memberikan peningkatan kualitas kesehatan mental manusia.
