Abstract

Nowadays, students are having difficulties looking for tutoringservices. The obstacles are, for example, difficulty to find thetutor, fee that does not fit to the budget, and inflexible schedule.Furthermore, tutors are having difficulties looking for studentswho need his or her service.Due to these reasons, this thesis is intended to create a systemwith web and Android apps that can facilitate tutors and studentsin meeting and holding learning activities. This application can beused by a student looking for an appropriate tutor and also by atutor listing matching students. This application can display themeeting location with the help of Google Map. Based on thequestionnaire result, it can be concluded that most of the usersare satisfied with the application.

Abstract

Instant Messaging named Telegram that was launched back in August 2013 became one of the IM apps that is widely used by the people around the world. One of the features that Telegram offers is its platform of its Application Programming Interface (API). One of the APIs being the Bot API is one of the majorly used features. One of the advantages of having a Bot is its reliability to deliver data to its users since it always operates without the limit of time. Nowadays movie show times are one of the necessities, being it accessible thru the web or an app is a bit of a hassle, hence this bot is developed to reduce the effort needed to get the movie show times. All the user need to do is to send a command and the bot will reply with the necessary information. All of this is made possible by using the programming language of Hypertext preprocessor (PHP).

Abstract

Voting or more commonly called voting is one method that is used by humans to make choices, decisions in a matter. In Indonesia alone voting is often used in the election of leaders such as the president, student council president and at the head of the organization. In the election in Petra itself there were many problems such as ballot paper folds for voting, long time duration on vote preparation and vote counting. In this case, the most affected by this problem is the election committee because it takes a long time and preparations with a lot of labor needs have not been added to by human error which can cause loss to many parties. It can be concluded that the problem is how to vote by using paper that is efficient and does not take a long time and how everyone only makes one vote once.To answer this problem, an electronic voting system was designed using rfid and also website-based thermal printer and barcode technology. By using this technology, each voter will get a receiptthat will be entered into the ballot box so that it can be re-audited if needed. In addition, this resolves the problem of inefficient paper use and reduces the burden on the election committee. voting must be regisified first and will be checked whether the voter has voted or not.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is a new information media that is being developed nowadays. ARis a technology that combines 2D or 3D virtual objects  in a real environment around us. AR can be used as animal learning media that can attract children attention. AR can  bring interactive learning efficient. Because children not only learn in theory only, but children are also available to see animal objects in 3D. Animal learning application will be made in thie thesis.This application is created using Vuforia library and Unity Engine, using the programming language C #. Application can display animals 3D objects and display information in English and Indonesian. Animals in this application are wolf, fox, elephant, lion, zebra, rhino.  The test result shown that the Vuforia library and Unity Engine can give good output animation and good information, where each marker that has been determined, can be recognized well. The test results also showed that the child's interest to applications is quite high, as much as 80% of the kids liked the design of applications, 70% of children do not experience problems in using the application, and 80% of children will use the application again.

Abstract

Universitas Kristen Petra memiliki unit organisasi yakni Perpustakaan yang menyediakan layanan koleksi. Sistem di Perpustakaan dikerjakan dengan memanfaatkan layanan IT (otomasi), dengan tujuan mempermudah proses pemberian layanan informasi pencarian koleksi dan peminjaman. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada layanan IT yang pernah dihadapi adalah seperti downserver, Unit Power Supply yang rusak dan terjadinya inkonsistensi data. Hal ini dapat menghambat kinerja layanan Perpustakaan seperti peminjaman dan pengembalian koleksi, pencarian koleksi di website, juga layanan pencarian informasi seperti referensi. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu analisa risiko, yang bertujuan menganalisa faktor-faktor risiko apa saja yang mengganggu proses bisnis perusahaan dan meberikan respon terhadap risiko yang paling kritikal.Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan proses risk assessment terhadap layanan IT yang dimanfaatkan dalam layanan bisnis Perpustakaan dan dibuatlah analisa berdasarkan pemahaman terhadap model dan strategi bisnis, penjabaran IT Audit Universe dan IT Domain, Contro Objectivel, serta penilaian terhadap faktor-faktor risiko IT yang ditemukan. Proses analisa risiko dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan metode berdasarkan Global Technology Audit Guidelines (GTAG) : Developing IT, COBIT 4.1, OWASP Risk Rating Methodology.Berdasarkan pengujian, ditemukan faktor-faktor risiko IT yang ada di Perpustakaan. Beberapa faktor-faktor risiko tersebut antara lain belum ada strategi dan perencanaan IT yang jelas untuk masa mendatang, media backup belum pernah diuji, dievaluasi ataupun di-refresh, tidak ada prosedur backup secara khusus.

Abstract

Electricity nowadays has become a fundamental necessity for various human activities for various functions. In Indonesia authorized as a provider of electrical energy is Negera Electricity Company (PLN), to know the large electrical energy used, a tool is needed called kWh meters. There are two kinds of analog kWh meters and digital kWh meters. The recording carried out by PLN is now varied from the coming of the officers to record manually or by doing many prepaid systems. This kind of recording is a waste of time and is less effective to do in modern times like this that everything is instant.Things like this will certainly begin to be abandoned when not updated soon. It is therefore necessary to centrally read digital kWh Meter technology that can be accessed anywhere and anytime. Looking at the above problem, it takes an application to see the use of kWh, voltage, current, power, and power factor. To monitor the use of a tenant tenant centrally and anywhere can be accessed.This system uses Raspberry Pi and Website. This system can detect the use of kWh meters now with digital kWh meters connected with Raspberry Pi and the user or admin can see the usage of the website in direct. Users can view graphs of the usage of kWh, voltage, current, power, and power factor. In addition, users can also get notifications if they exceed the specified limit. This system can help record kWh on each tenant as an effective way

Abstract

ABSTRACT : SunTech Shop is a company engaged in the sale and purchase of electric industrial raw materials that their daily activities are covering the purchase and sale of merchandise. During that time, SunTech Stores still use the manual method to produce financial statements and journal needed. All transactions are recorded at the end of working hours each day so it cannot provide information in a timely and accurate manner. Therefore, in this thesis are designed and manufactured an accounting information system that helps the problem to obtain the required information quickly, accurately and is also expected to avoid or minimize the occurrence of errors arising from the recording of the company's activities, and generate reports useful for progress.System design’s scheme use Data Flow Diagram and Entity Relationship Diagram. Database made by using Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Application made with Programming Language Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 . NET. Program which has been made cover database master for goods, supplier, purchase and sale transaction, and also accounting process relate to making of journal automatically and adjustment journal manually and also financial statement automatically. From the results of the testing program indicate that the program is capable of processing accounting data relating to the purchase and sale of automatic and produce information in the form of managerial reports (report purchases, sales and debt),  journals (general journal, purchases journal, cash disbursements journal, cash receipts journal and general ledger) and financial statements (income statement, changes in equity and balance sheet) are accurate (according with the manual).

Abstract

Strategy is one of the more popular video game genres. There are many factors that can affect whether a strategy game is good or not. Some of those are the graphics of the game, the menus and features, and also the AI inside the game. This game is made with that understanding.The game will be made with Unity Game Engine. ID3 and Backpropagation will be used as the AIs in this game. The game is divided into two parts, namely the exploration mode and the battle mode. In the exploration mode, the player can freely explore their surrounding environment, interact with NPCs, or encounter an enemy. Battle mode is a mode where the player fights the enemy they encounters. Battle mode will be played in a grid that resembles a chessboard. The game will go into this mode only if the player made contact with the enemy in exploration mode. When the battle is finished, the player will return to exploration mode.The resulting games are tested by playing the game from start to finish. From the results, it can be concluded that the game has implemented the general features of games in strategy and RPG genre.

Abstract

X Company provides various kinds of electronic things and home appliances, to fulfill all sales transactions on every branches store then it is necessary to have many kinds of assets likes vehicles for delivery services, storefronts for items display and many other needs. And of course every assets need some specific types of maintenances. For now, every process of scheduling maintenances, registering maintenances and recording maintenances realization are done by written manual on paper or by direct spoke to each other’s. The current applied process will have some consequences such as forgetting some assets maintenance and difficulties in creating reports because the data is written on the paper. So it is needed to have a system that records all the broken assets reports, maintenance schedules and maintenance realization properly.To resolve this issue, a system based on Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS) with some adaption to the current process of the company that obtained from the direct interview will be created. The system will be made based on web based system using a programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Codeigniter Framework based on PHP, JavaScript, Ajax and using SQL Server as database.The conclusion after finished to develop the system are the scheduling process is have worked correctly but with some exclusion that allow to work overtime with PIC Aset approval and the spare part stock forecast also worked correctly for fulfill the spare parts requests but will not worked to fulfill abnormal requests.

Abstract

PT. Swanindo Jaya is a company engaged in the sale of machinery for industrial needs. PT. Swanindo Jaya was established in 2013 and is located at Jalan Haji Mansour Ki no. 168-170 Surabaya. PT. Swanindo Jaya established by a contractor experienced in the field and have knowledge of industrial machinery. The machine was obtained from local suppliers and foreign suppliers. Business processes in the PT. Swanindo Jaya consists of the buying process, sales, service and installation of the machine. The recording of the entire business processes in PT. Swanindo Jaya at this time is still running it manually. Over time, PT. Swanindo Jaya into a company that grew larger and larger. Business processes which occur also certainly going to walk more and complicated, so the recording process manually deemed no longer efficient. In accordance with the plan of the owner of PT. Swanindo Jaya, business processes will be designed more computerized and held the division of labor in a manner that is responsible for the establishment of the division in accordance with their respective roles.
