Abstract

PT. Intidaya Dinamika Sejati is a company engaged in the distribution of pedrogals, roots blowers, becker vacuum pumps, as well as technical consultants for service services for various products, such as vacuum pumps, roots blowers, air end compressors, control panels, and air locks for all brands. There are five divisions in PT. Intidaya Dinamika Blower division, Vacuum division, Fabrication division, Rewinding division, and Industrial Repair division. Fabrication Division is one of the largest divisions in PT. The Power of True Dynamics. In Fabrication division there are several wastes that can reduce the productivity of making medical vacuum pump. The wastes that exist in PT. Intidaya Dinamika Sejati Fabrication division: motion, waiting, transportation, defect, and extra processing. Researchers designed value stream mapping as a reference for improving the medical vacuum pump production process. The suggestions made for process improvement, briefing, stricter supervision and assessment, worker training, setting the hand stacker before the welding process, use of measuring tape, use of phosphating liquid to wash tanks, the uses of spray putty, and change the order of processes. Finally, the researcher made a future value stream mapping to describe the situation after the proposal.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the causes of the problems faced by PT X. The company is currently only able to make 46% of the 84 shipments in 2018. This is caused by the accumulation of isotank in the customer's area for a long time. Therefore, the company wants to invest in the addition of permanent storage in consumer areas, simulations are needed to find out the results obtained after the installation of storage. This research was conducted using Promodel simulation software to describe the current situation. The study was conducted in 2 stages, first modeling the initial conditions to obtain a basis for the proposed model, then simulating the proposal and analyzing whether the proposal that was carried out was influential or not. Results of simulation results show that with the addition of permanent storage, the total shipments owned by the company increased to 56% and got its investment capital back after 6.1 years and have present worth value Rp943.839.385.

Abstract

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia with high density population which can cause many living problem such as dengue fever. Dengue fever outbreak is caused by Aedes aegepty and spread fast in high density population. Many researches about dengue fever had been done in other city and country in order to decrease the spread of this outbreak. This research’s aim is to predict external factor that can caused dengue fever outbreak in Surabaya. Method that is used in this paper is Geospatial Weighted Regression (GWR) which focus on local coefficient estimates at each health centres in Surabaya. Health centres that have high local coefficient estimates have strong correlation of spreading dengue fever in Surabaya. This research’s only focused 3 external factor in which consist of family poverty percentage, precipitation, and levels of education. Levels of education is the only factor that have high local coefficient estimates and have strong correlation of spreading dengue fever in Surabaya compared to the other factors.

Abstract

PT. X is a logistical company and already has a network throughout Indonesia. PT. X has several modes of transportation to serve customers, one of which is ships. In order for the ship to continue to function properly, maintenance is needed, one of which is replacing some parts. Spare parts are usually imported from 3 countries, namely China, Japan and Korea. However, this study only focuses on imported goods from China. Imported goods will be charged with import fees by the customs. There is a way so that companies do not have to pay import duties, namely by requesting the Certificate of Origin (COO) Form E from the supplier. COO Form E is a special COO for goods imported from China. However, there are 91.49% of Form E that cannot be made in 2020. This study aims to analyze the reasons why import duties are not reduced/ exemptions, provide suggestions in order to maximize the possibility of obtaining a reduction/ exemption of import duties. The solution given is to create a checklist system created using Microsoft Excel Macro.

Abstract

This case study was done at a private university located in Surabaya. The aims of this study was to analyze the potential hazards and risks of workplace accidents. The university is preparing for the stage of the Occupational Health Safety Management System (SMK3). The Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) method is adopted to detect activities on external parties and arrange for its control so that the potential for workplace accidents can be minimized. The design of HIRARC for external parties of university was 51 potenial hazards. This potential hazard has an extreme risk assessment value of 0% , high 24%, moderate 25% and low 51%. The proposed risk control for K3 induction such as guidebook and video safety induction. In addition, risk control is carried out by means of elimination, substitution, administration, and personal protective equipment.

Abstract

PT. X is a cigarette company that applies the principle of Continuous Improvement. The Continuous Improvement Program has been implemented in one of the departments in the HRD Division, namely the HR Project. The program is still not running optimally due to a lack of understanding from the employees of PT. X deals with analytical tools for quality control as well as project management. The solution given to overcome the problem is to prepare training modules from 7 QC Tools and Project Management which are made simple and attractive so that they are easy to understand. The Project HR Supervisor has tested the module through trial and inspection activities. The HR Project and the Training Team have evaluated by comparing the old and new modules. The overall average for the old module is 2.08, and the new module is 3.50. The 7 QC Tools training module is also implemented in one of the programs, namely HR Survey 2021 on Suggestion Comment data processing using Pareto Diagrams.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a company engaged in the food industry which is located in Makassar and was founded in 2009. The company does not yet have documents that are in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. This study aims to design a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015 in CV. XYZ. The design is done by completing the documents that are not owned by the company. The initial research was conducted using gap analysis through interviews with the company. The results of the initial gap analysis show that the company only meets the percentage of completeness of documents by 3% and after the preparation and completion of the company's vision and mission documents, SWOT analysis, quality objectives, risk identification, preparation of SOPs and other documents. The results of the gap analysis ended that the company had an average percentage of document completeness of 84% which increased by about 81% of document completeness.

Abstract

PT X is a global No. 1 in the world. To remain the best, companies need to maintain and increase productivity. This is because productivity is a measure of the success of a process. The purpose of this study is to find out the causes of low productivity and make efforts to reduce the gap between planning and actual. The approach used in this research is DMAIC. It was found that the factors causing the productivity target not to be achieved were due to the gap in working time/machines running and the number of workers who did not match the plan with the actual. This gap is caused by the efficiency of the production process which is still not on target. This causes the output of the production process is not as planned. This impact resulted in the amount of time and labor needed to be not in accordance with what was planned to achieve the desired productivity. The suggestions for improvement are the visual control display design, plan of action, and control plan sheet. This proposal is considered to be able to assist planning and production to control the productivity of the production process.

Abstract

Board games are designed with the aim of facilitating the learning of Introduction to Industrial Engineering Courses in the UK. Petra to accommodate all student learning styles. The board game is gaming for education that is designed according to learning material in the Introduction to Industrial Engineering, questionnaire survey results and Learning Achievement of Graduates (CPL) 5 number 2, understanding the concepts and work systems to increase productivity. The method used for board game design is based on literature studies and surveys through questionnaires. The board game concept is about working/production systems in the company which consists of 4 processes, that is the process of purchasing raw materials, the production process, the quality checking process, and the sales process. Each process uses applied knowledge or material from the Introduction to Industrial Engineering courses such as Operations Research is a simple linear program, Work Design Analysis (APK) that is the learning curve, Quality Control (QC) which is the DMAIC concept (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). That way board games can be an interesting and useful learning medium for students who are studying in the Introduction to Industrial Engineering course.

Abstract

The curriculum of the Petra Christian University Industrial Engineering Study Program is always updated every four years to keep up with the times, especially in science and technology. However, the evaluation carried out in the curriculum changes did not include the analysis of efficiency and student study results. The curriculum that evaluated in this final project are the curriculum in 2007, 2012, and 2016 with student data used are class 2007, 2012 and 2016. Curriculum evaluation is analyzed using the efficiency measurement method. In addition to efficiency calculations and analysis, this study also looks for the influence between curriculum and majors on GPA by using One-Way ANOVA, Kruskall Wallis, Paired T-Test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank tests. The results obtained indicate that the curriculum changes made by Industrial Engineering are more efficient. Curriculum efficiency has a significant effect on the final GPA and the length of time students graduate. In addition, there is an increase in the final GPA of students compared to the GPA until semester 5, before determining the majors.
