Abstract

PT. Intidaya Dinamika Sejati is a company engaged in design, engineering and service in the industrial and general business sectors in Indonesia. The services offered are for various products such as vacuum pumps, air-end compressors, control panels, roots blowers, and air locks. The two main products produced at PT. Intidaya Dinamika Sejati, namely the medical system and root blower. Waste is any form of activity that does not add value to the product (Ridwan et al. [1]). The results of observations and interviews with companies show that waste of time and energy caused by several factors occurs at PT. Intidaya Dinamika Sejati. Observations were made to obtain cycle time, value stream mapping and waste analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is waste waiting, motion, transportation and defects. Waste analysis is carried out with the help of the value stream mapping tool. Proposals are given to reduce the waste that occurs. The proposal is expected to reduce defects, unnecessary movement of workers and waiting time.

Abstract

PT. X started a business process to introduce solar power generation devices as an alternative energy source. Currently, Key Performance Indicators of PT. X was not designed according to the company's business model and values. The company also does not have a dashboard to monitor the performance of each department and its achievements. Companies find it difficult to monitor their performance. The purpose of this final project is to design Key Performance Indicators based on the company's business model, values, and quality objectives. Database is also needed to record and store supporting data for calculating Key Performance Indicators. Data and calculation results are visualized in a dashboard to make it easier for companies to monitor the performance of each department. With this dashboard, companies also get information and insights related to the performance of solar projects. Companies can take advantage of information and insights to formulate strategies so that companies can improve the achievement of the company's Key Performance Indicators better.

Abstract

In company, a high turnover rate will have negative impact such as emergence of recruitment cost, training cost and decrease the productivity rate. Every company must take notice on some aspect like job demand, burnout, and employee’s job satisfaction. Based on employee interview, in PT. Telkomsel, there are many people following the early retirement program. He also said that he is exhausted at work. Therefore, this observation aims to find out whether there is an effect between job demand and turnover intention through burnout and job satisfaction. This research was done by distributing a questionnaire to 76 employees. After all data was collected, observer will analyze descriptively and test some hypothesis with Structural Equation Modelling method to know the impact between those variable. The results of the study stated that job demand had no significant effect on turnover intention, but burnout and job satisfaction were able to become mediating variables because both had a significant effect on turnover intention. In addition, job demand has a significant effect on burnout and job satisfaction.This research can be useful for the company to decreases the turnover intention rate.

Abstract

PT SMART Tbk is a company engaged in the palm oil processing industry. Products produced by PT SMART Tbk includes cooking oil, margarine, shortening and specialty fats. PT SMART Tbk has been distributing their products to the international level, so raw materials, food additives, processing aids, packaging materials and products produced must be able to meet all applicable food safety regulations both in Indonesia and internationally. The numbers of food safety regulations that applys in both countries make the companies to require tools which can help in monitoring the quality and compliance of food safety regulations. The purpose of this study is to design a dashboard that can be used to monitor the quality and compliance of food safety regulations for each raw material, food additives, processing aids, packaging materials and products. The dashboard design is made using Microsoft excel and VBA. The results of this study is a dashboard that can show ingredients or products that don’t meet food safety regulations, also it conduce a list of regulations that can help companies to know maximum limit use of raw materials, food additives, processing aids, packaging materials for products as well as product specifications that may be distributed to consumers.

Abstract

PT. Solusi Duka Indonesia, which was established in 2018, have helped many people with their service to accompany the moment of grief. PT. Solusi Duka Indonesia innovates to provide mourning services because of their emphaty for people who feel lost and then hindered by space and time to attend mourning events. Currently the sales target is not enough, for that it is necessary to improve the quality of service. The goal is that more of them use the Solusi Duka Indonesia so that the company can survive. The method used in this research is design thinking. Design thinking is a creative process that focused on human needs and provides impetus for creating creative solutions. In this method there are activities to interview respondents and conduct surveys to respondents who have experienced grief. Based on the result of the research that has been carried out, several problems were found that can be used as suggestions for developing the quality of service for the Solusi Duka Indonesia. One of the result of the proposal given is the addition of a death file management feature as many as 31 respondents chose.

Abstract

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV Makassar new port branch has a high potential danger. There will be 16 work accidents reported in 2020. The company has never identified a hazard in all of its business activities. Therefore the objective of the final task is to identify hazards, assess risks, control risk (HIRARC) in the company's main activities, namely loading and unloading activities. The initial stage of this final task is to conduct observations and interviews of workers directly in the company. After observation and interview, the study will identify hazards, assess risks, and control risks against risks that have high and extreme values. Hirarc's review on loading and unloading is expected to prevent similar accidents from happening again and reduce the impact of accidents. The results obtained after observation there were 10 activities with extreme category risk rating, 3 sub-activities with high category risk rating, and 9 sub-activities with medium category risk rating. After HIRARC the results obtained are 16 sub-activity risk rating medium category, 6 sub activity risk rating low category.

Abstract

PT Sun Paper Source’s operational warehouse is used for store supporting materials and finished goods in pallet units. A significant increase of supporting material’s pallet in 2020 resulted in the warehouse's overcapacity, this problem may affect warehouse activities in the future. The increase of supporting material’s pallet was affected by the surge of production tonnage and finished good’s Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), which has risen significantly by 117 units (28,1 % year to date). Therefore, the company plans to build a specific supporting material’s warehouse with a total area of 1530 m2. The objective of this research is to design a warehouse layout with the implying of class based storage method. The maximum on hand inventory value throughout 2020 will be used as a reference to determine how much slot pallet needed. The placement of supporting materials based upon throughput per space value, the highest value will be placed closer to the exit door (I/O). Slotting process of each supporting material will be assisted by the implementation of ABC classification. The warehouse layout design is estimated to accommodate 704 pallets. This design generates a 95.09% on block utility value and resulted in 179,312.3 m of total distance travelled per year.

Abstract

PT. X is a subsidiary of PT Astra Otoparts engaged in the automotive industry inproducing motorcycle chains, engine chains, filters, and accessories for motorbikes. PT. X has 2customer chain products, namely OEM (Original Equipment Market) products which includeAstra Honda Motor (AHM), Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. RM Products (ReplacementMarket) which include Honda Genuine Part (HGP) and Yamaha Genuine Part (YGP). The chainof OEM products is a chain that will be installed directly on a motorcycle during the assemblyprocess. The RM product chain is a spare parts chain that will be marketed in motorcycledealers. Determining the standard time and production capacity of each process aims todetermine the production lead time. Production lead time is needed by the company to determinea product from the start of the raw material being processed to the end of being a chain product.The results of the calculation of the standard time of each process can be analyzed as the cause ofthe delay in product distribution to the customer. The results of this study are used to determinethe production lead time for a certain period with the number of stock components, the numberof chain stocks used for production plans for a certain period. The production plan uses data fromthe calculation of the standard process time and process capacity used to determine theproduction lead time.

Abstract

PT. Schneider Electric Manufacturing Batam will efficiently redesign the cell assembly connector 3P production line for Everlink 3P, Everlink 4P and the new GZ3 product. The redesign was carried out using the Line Architecture Design Methodology. With the Customer Demand for the three products of 346.63 Pcs/Hr, an architectural design was produced with a total of 3 cells, 2 operators per cell and 3 operations per cell and additional benches to overcome production capacity problems. The new design can produce 384 Pcs/Hrs so that it can meet Customer Demand until 2025. In actual application, the company makes architectural designs with 1 cell, 6 operators per cell and 8 operations per cell. The actual design is not suitable in terms of workload and elasticity, but it can still run to meet the number of consumer demands. Meanwhile, in terms of ergonomics, it is still classified as medium level, which means it is still allowed to operate.

Abstract

CV XYZ is a manufacturing industry company that is specialized in karoseri construction and it produces public vehicle bodies. This company has vehicle bodies as its main product such as ELF Microbus, Medium Bus and Big Bus. Back in 2020, it was reported that CV XYZ faced a problem, in which it had 11 work accidents. To overcome the existing problem, it is necessary to have a Safety Management System Design and an Occupational Health. The design of SMK3 itself is started by making direct observations in the barracks during working hours, conducting interviews with the Director and the Head of Production, and asking for work accident data to support it. The design of SMK3 will be implemented according to the company's ability and its valid regulations (Government Regulation number 50 of 2012). SMK3's final result is going to be a document or a guide book containing the policies, commitments, and procedures that have been designed by the author to support the SMK3 in CV XYZ.
