Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and prove the influence of leadership style, job stress, workload on job satisfaction in improving the performance of employees at the University of Jember. Total population of 548 people is taken from employees Bureau I, II Bureau and Bureau III at the University of Jember. The total sample of 125 respondents drawn using proportional random sampling technique sampling, and data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS software. The results of the study explained that occurred a significant effect on the latent exogenous variables that influence leadership style, job stress, workload against intervening variable is satisfaction in improving the performance of (endogenous latent variables). This is demonstrated by the significant figures and valid in every model tested.

Abstract

Preserved sea-fish is one of the many seafood products that have been accepted by the community members. This research was intended to analyze the  measure the cost efficiency caused by the allocation of resources in the production process, the breakeven point and to set strategies for developing agribusiness of preserved sea-fish by  through the approaches of Descriptive Analysis,  Benefit Cost Ratio, Profitability Ratio and  Breakeven Point  Analysis. The research results showed that there had been a positive that is, an average of IDR 1,353.00 per kilogram, a profit ratio of more than one (1); that is, 1.50 per kilogram on average, benefit ratio of 33,29% per kilogram on average, breakeven point in sales/production of 21 kg on average, cost and revenue of IDR 202,494,12. Development strategy for sea-fish preservation business should be focused on the improvement of internal management of the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate consumer perceptions of the retail mix of traditional and modern retail in Jember city and to determine the presence or absence of significant differences in consumer perceptions of the retail mix of traditional and modern retail. The sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling. Methods of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to 100 questionnaires to the respondents coming from the four districts selected the District of Jember City, District of Kaliwates, Sumbersari, Patrang, and Pakusari. The analysis tools are different descriptive analysis and Wilcoxon test. This research found that there are differences in consumer perceptions of the 6 variables retail mix of traditional retail and modern retail in Jember City. To 6 variables include variable pricing, promotions, location, service, convenience shopping and premium products. Also note also that there are no differences in consumer perceptions of the distance variable in the traditional retail and modern retail in Jember City. Distinguishing variables that are most closely/related to the perception of consumers is the convenience of shopping variables. So the convenience of shopping to be a major consideration that differentiates consumer perceptions of the retail mix of traditional and modern retail.

Abstract

Companies, especially Bank, requires strategy and characteristics in order to achieve success. One of the efforts to achieve the success of the company is to provide the best quality service. This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture Testing (X1) on the quality of service (Y2), the influence of personality type (X2) on the quality of service, the influence of organizational culture on Organizational citizen behavior (OCB) (Y1), the influence of personality type on OCB, and OCB influence on the quality of service of employees of PT. Bank Bukopin Jember branch. Selected 102 respondents using census technique to fill in a questionnaire study. And the results of the questionnaire data processed by data analysis techniques Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result shows that the organizational culture significantly influence OCB, the personality type significantly influence OCB, the organizational culture significantly influence the quality of service, personality types have a significant effect on the quality of service, and OCB is one of significant effect on service quality.

Abstract

The proof of a success hospital is the awards received. Jember Chest Hospital from 2010 to 2014 became the champion in various awards in the field of services and work culture. Surely Jember Chest Hosnpital has employees who perform well and have behavioral Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB).Subjects were nurses as many as 71 people. Explanatory research method is used. Retrieving data using questionnaires. Data was analized using SEM (Structural Equestion Model). The result of research that variable personality type and organizational commitment and significant positive effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Psychological contract variables, motivation and job satisfaction positive and significant impact on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Variable type of personality and psychological contracts and no significant positive effect on employee performance. and variable organizational commitment, motivation, job satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) positive and significant impact on employee performance.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and understand and prove Empirically influence directly and indirectly working environment and compensation to job satisfaction employees through work discipline and working spirit at PT. Bank Jatim, Tbk Jember Regency. This research classified as exsplanatory reseach and confirmatory research at once with loading technique samples proportional sampling. Data acquisition will be done with questionnaires distribution directly and indirectly from respondents the PT. Bank Jatim,Tbk Jember Branch Office employee. Data that was recieved by processed by using analysis of path analysis with IBM SPSS AMOS 20 software. The results showed that the work environment, compensation, work discipline and morale has a positive and significant impact on   job satisfaction of employees. In addition the research also shows that the work environment, compensation and working discipline has a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction of employees through morale

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the implementation dimensions of Banking Service Quality  influence directly and indirectly, as well as partially and simultaneous to the bank’s customer loyalty where customer’s satisfaction is the intervening variables. The research of measuring service quality by using dimensions of Banking Service Quality (BSQ) due to use of BSQ in some previous research has proved valid and better than SERVQUAL. BSQ dimensions developed by Bahia and Nantel to comprise effectiveness and assurance, acces,price, tangible, service portofolio, and reliability.Population research includes customer at PT BPR Sentral Arta Asia Lumajang with 120 samples. Data analysis techniques using path analysis model to do testing first substructure and second substructure. Hypothesis testing by directly and indirectly. The result showed that simultaneously influential BSQ dimensions significantly to customer loyalty, it’s influence through the variable satisfaction demonstrates the influence that strengthened the customer will increasingly loyal if BSQ dimensions is apllied to give satisfaction for the customer. Not all variables are partially significant impact, effectiveness and assurance,price, and service portofolio. While access, tangible, and reliability do not affect the customer’s loyalty.Multiple correlation coefficient values obtained of 0.553 the significance of 0.000 which means there are proven relationships whith the strong criteria positive and highly significant. While the value of the coefficient of determination of 0.306 or 30.6% means the variable dimensions BSQ able to explain it’s influence on change of variables simultaneously loyalty of 30.6% and the rest 69.4% explained by other variable.

Abstract

Edi Turjono, 041520201005, Departement of Agribusiness, Postgraduate Program, University of Jember, research title: "The Prospects of Besuki Tobacco VO Rajang Farming in Jember Recident(A Case Study in Jelbuk District)", under supervision guidance ofProf. Dr. KabulSantoso, MS, as supervisor and Ir. Imam Syafi’I, M.S., as co-supervisor. The prospect tobacco rajang Maesan farming in Jember Resident “Case study in Jelbuk District chopped tobacco farming of Maesan has an important position. So that its development should be considered by increasing the acreage and kuality; in addition hybrid corn farming is a food that has an important position after rice, and corn is needed as the ingredient for animal food indutry.This research was intended to compare the level of efficientcy of rajang tobacco farming of Maesan with that of hybrid corn farming, to analysis the variables that affected farm income of Maesan Rajang Tobacco and to indentify the prospects of Maesan rajang Tobacco farming.The analysis used in this research were: 1) R/C ratio analysis, 2) Multiple regression analysis, and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opprtunities and Threat) analysis.The result of analysis that the R/C ratio of rajang tobacco farming of Maesan was above the hybrid corn average R/C, while the examination of the differences between R/C ratio  commodity of rajang tobacco of Maesan and R/C of corn performed by t-test according to the independent table test. Showed that the different was with the probability. So that the probability was lower than thus, the R/C ratio hybrid corn commodities and R/C ratio of rajang tobacco Maesan  was significanly different, which means that rajang tobacco farming of Maesan was more cost-efficient than hybrid corn farming.Mean while, the variables that significantly affected Maesan rajang tobacco farming were the production of dried tobacco (X1) the selling price (X2) and Production Cost (X3). Where as the prospect of the development of the development of Maesan rajang tobacco farming was profitable for the development by considering internal and external factors in development of Maesan rajang tobacco farming in Jember Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of human resources capabilities, motivation on employee performance and reward as moderating variable in the case studies Akbar Radio and Radio Nada Jember. This type of research is explanatory hypotheses are tested to determine whether there is influence of variable human resources capabilities, motivation, on employee performance and reward as moderating variable. In this study, the techniques used in probability sampling is purposive sampling, ie sampling techniques are taken on the basis of specific intent or purpose. Samples from this study are employees working in PT Radio Voice Tone FM Radio Akbar and some 42 employees. The results obtained are the link between the human resources capacity, motivation on employee performance and reward as moderating variable. Besides, there are also differences in the effect of applying reward Akbar Radio and Radio tone that did not apply the reward.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to determine the level of satisfaction of patients who had undergone hospitalization in dr. Soebandi Jember well as participants BPJS-Health as well as non BPJS health insurance participants.The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The samples used as many as 120 respondents. 60 respondents to respondents who had hospitalization in dr. Soebandi Jember as participants BPJS-Health and 60 for respondents who had hospitalization in dr. Soebandi Jember as non BPJS health insurance participants. The data analysis is done by non-parametric statistical tests, particularly the Chi Square test or chi-square test were symbolized by "χ2". Based on the table Chi-square test results Pearson Chi-square can be seen that significant value (p-value) = 0.001, which means smaller than α = 0.05, so the decision is to reject Ho. That is, there is a significant difference between the ministry of dr. Soebandi for inpatients participants suransi BPJS health and health insurance Non BPJS. At the patient's perception of the contingency table BPJS-health insurance membership and health suransi Non BPJS look the same percentage or proportion. Both participants and non BPJS BPJS patient perception 100.0% said easy.Based on the table Chi-square test results Pearson Chi-square can be seen significant value (p-value) = 0.088, which means greater than α = 0.05, so that the decision taken is to accept Ho. That is, there was no significant difference regarding the completion of the administration of post-hospitalization in dr Soebandi for patient participants BPJS health insurance and health insurance participants Non BPJS.
