Abstract

Several previous studies have applied the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model, but few have linked this research to simple spatial geometry material. The study looked at the differences in the influence of the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with a quantitative method as a sample representing 47 students of class V SDN 2 Way Gubag Bandar Lampung. The instrument used was an essay test, the results of the normality and homogeneity tests showed that both samples were normally distributed and homogeneous. The findings of the analysis using the t-test. It can be concluded that the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.00 <0.05, then it is accepted and rejected so that there is a significant difference in students' understanding of the concept. Which means that there is an influence of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class V SDN 2 Way Gubag Bandar Lampung. So it can be recommended as an effective learning model in learning Mathematics.

Abstract

Speaking skills are an important aspect in education, but are often overlooked in conventional teaching methods. Role playing offers an innovative approach by creating real situations where students can practice speaking actively and interactively. This study is a classroom action research. This study aims to determine the improvement of speaking skills of grade IV students of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Malang City. The research was conducted on 24 students consisting of 18 male students and 6 female students and 1 grade IV education teacher of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Malang City. Data collection used observation and test techniques. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results of the study showed that the application of the role playing method was able to improve students' speaking skills in learning Indonesian in grade IV of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Malang City. This is proven by the increase in the average value of students' speaking skills between cycle I and cycle II, namely from cycle I, students' speaking skills reached 54.73% with 10 students completing, and 14 students entered the category of "not yet complete, remedial parts needed". Meanwhile, in cycle II, there was an increase in the average value of speaking skills to 80.25% with 24 students completing.

Abstract

The strategy in learning for students must be right, we need an approach so that we can know each child's character. Learning strategies make it easier for students to receive or understand learning materials, and ultimately learning objectives can be mastered by students. The purpose of this study was to determine the techniques and implementation of cultural literacy-based learning, identify social studies learning media based on cultural literacy and analyze the evaluation of student learning outcomes after cultural literacy-based social studies learning. The research method used is a qualitative method. The source of research data comes from primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques through interview methods, document studies, observations. The validity test of research data uses source triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study The cultural literacy-based social studies learning technique used by teachers at SDN 2 Tanggunggunung uses lecture techniques and discussion techniques. Cultural literacy learning in the classroom is intended to make students more active, creative, critical and have literacy skills. The media teachers use in cultural literacy-based learning is using ebooks, internet media, and observing conditions in the Tulungagung Regency community, and in our environment. Written assessments are used to determine the extent of students' cognitive abilities, while non-written assessments are used to determine students' affective abilities, especially their ability to recognize cultural literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving students' understanding of equivalent fractions and their communication skills at SD Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. Through the "Toast Maker" project, fourth-grade students were involved in practical activities that allowed them to apply the concept of equivalent fractions in real contexts. The research method used was quantitative with an experimental design, involving 26 students who were divided into two groups: an experimental group that implemented PjBL and a control group that used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in students' understanding, as well as presentation assessments to evaluate communication skills. The results showed that the average score of students' understanding increased from 55 in the pre-test to 80 in the post-test, with the percentage of learning completion increasing from 38% to 92%. In addition, the average group presentation score reached 85, indicating that students were able to convey their project results well. Qualitative feedback from students also showed increased engagement and motivation during the learning process. This study concludes that the implementation of the PjBL model is not only effective in improving students' academic understanding but also contributes to the development of social and communication skills that are important for their personal development.

Abstract

Instilling social skills in early childhood is an important part of character building and healthy social interactions in the future. This article discusses the importance of developing social skills in early childhood through learning about empathy, cooperation, and responsibility. Through the right approach, children can learn to understand the feelings of others, work together in groups, and feel responsible for their own actions. This study began by formulating the objectives and focus of the study, namely to explore how learning empathy, cooperation, and responsibility can build social skills in early childhood. After that, a literature review was conducted to deepen understanding of the theory of child social development and learning methods that can be applied. The subjects of this study were children aged 4-6 years, teachers at ABA 02 Bumiaji Kindergarten, and parents of children. Instilling the values of empathy, cooperation, and responsibility from an early age is expected to form a strong foundation for better social development in children, improve communication skills, and create a more harmonious social environment. Therefore, education that integrates these social skills is very important to equip children with the ability to adapt and contribute positively to society in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Google Sites-based learning media to improve students' learning motivation in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects at SD Negeri 2 Kedungsoko. This learning media is designed as an interactive platform that contains materials, learning videos, quizzes, and discussion forums that are easily accessible to students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of the study were fifth grade students with a sample size of 30 people. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires, interviews, and observations before and after the implementation of learning media. The results of the study showed that the use of Google Sites as a learning media significantly increased students' learning motivation. This is indicated by an increase in the average score of the learning motivation questionnaire by 25% after using the media. Students feel more interested and motivated because the material is presented in an interesting, interactive, and flexible manner according to their needs. In addition, teachers also provide positive feedback on the ease of use and effectiveness of this media. Thus, Google Sites-based learning media can be an innovative alternative in supporting a more interesting and effective IPAS learning process in elementary schools

Abstract

This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which is designed to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students by optimizing cooperative learning using the Number Heads Together (NHT) model in mathematics. The study was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle involved the stages of CAR according to Kemmis and McTaggart, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in mathematical sentences and calculations through optimizing Cooperative Learning, especially the Number Heads Together model. Data were collected through observation, documentation, interviews, and tests. The results showed that the application of the Number Heads Together model succeeded in significantly improving student learning outcomes from 58.33% in cycle I and achieving a classical learning completion percentage of 83.33% in cycle II. These results confirm that cooperative learning using the Number Heads Together model has great potential in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in mathematics. This study is expected to produce innovative contributions in improving the quality of mathematics learning, creating an interactive, collaborative, and effective learning environment.
