Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of social studies on the topic of international relations by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class VI of UPT SD Negeri Sumurgung 1 Tuban. This study focuses on the problem that arises in the form of low achievement of student learning outcomes in the subject of social studies on the topic of international relations due to the use of less effective learning models. The PBL model was chosen because it is able to encourage students to think critically, work together and solve problems relevant to everyday life. This study design uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is implemented in two cycles. The subjects in the study consisted of 12 students, including 7 male students and 5 female students. Each cycle includes the steps of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data were collected through observation sheets and written test results. This study shows that the use of the PBL model provides a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average score reached 68.75 with a classical completion percentage of 41.66%. While in cycle II, the average score reached 84.58 with a classical completion percentage of 83.33%. Thus, it was concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model was effective in improving student learning outcomes in the science subject of international relations. The researcher recommends that this model be used in teaching other subjects to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an authentic assessment instrument for Project-Based Learning (PJBL) in Fine Arts for fourth grade elementary school students. This instrument is designed to comprehensively assess the process and results of students' work, particularly in the activities of designing and designing lesson schedules as visual art products. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the stages of needs analysis, instrument design, expert validation, and limited classroom trials. The results show that the developed instrument is valid and feasible to use, and is able to effectively measure aspects of creativity, technical skills, and student cooperation attitudes. This instrument is recommended as a contextual assessment tool that can support the implementation of more meaningful and comprehensive PJBL learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the wordwall education game on improving the reading and writing skills of first-grade elementary school students. This study applies a quasi-experimental method through the "Nonequivalent Control Group Design" design. In its implementation, this study included two groups of subjects, namely the control group and the experimental group. The control group was given learning through word cards, while the experimental group was given through the wordwall education game media. Both groups were then given an initial reading and writing ability test, the results of which were analyzed using IBM SPSS software. The results of the analysis showed a significant value of 0.000 in the reading aspect and 0.006 in the writing aspect, which means that Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted, through the "Independent Sample T-test", meaning that a significant difference was obtained in reading and writing abilities between the compared groups. These findings show that the application of the wordwall education game media is effective in improving the initial reading and writing skills of first-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The lack of use of interactive and innovative learning media in the implementation of cognitive diagnostic assessment in grade IV of SD Negeri 2 Ciloa makes students less enthusiastic and focused in participating in assessment activities. The purpose of this study is to develop a Quizizz-based cognitive diagnostic assessment instrument in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. Researchers also want to know the level of feasibility and effectiveness of the assessment instrument developed using Quizizz media. The subjects of this study were grade IV students of SD Negeri 2 Ciloa. Students in grade IV A (experimental class) with a total of 21 students and grade IV B (control class) with a total of 22 students. The research method used Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model. The feasibility test of the Quizizz-based cognitive diagnostic assessment instrument meets the very feasible category with an average of 92.38% according to media experts, validation of learning evaluations of teaching materials obtained a percentage of 86% "very feasible", validation of learning evaluations of assessment questions obtained a percentage of 90% "very feasible". Based on the results obtained, the Quizizz-based cognitive diagnostic assessment instrument in the science subject is very suitable for use and improves student learning outcomes. The experimental class achieved an average learning outcome of 78.10%, and the control class achieved an average (mean) of 50.95%.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an active and conducive learning process so that students are able to develop their potential optimally. One important instrument in education is the curriculum, including the Independent Curriculum which encourages the use of technology and learning innovation. However, observations at SDN Baturetno 1 show that learning is still conventional and does not utilize innovative media, resulting in low learning outcomes, especially in the material "Indonesian Cultural Diversity". This study aims to develop KOPIKAYA (Cultural Diversity Smart Box) learning media in the form of interactive game-based 3D media containing instructions for use, illustrated materials, and educational games to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by material experts, language experts, and media experts with the results of validity percentages of 82.2%, 86%, and 88%, respectively, which are included in the valid category. Based on the validator's suggestions, improvements were made to the font size, image clarity, and material coating. The results showed that KOPIKAYA media is suitable for use and can improve student motivation, understanding, and learning outcomes. Therefore, KOPIKAYA can be an alternative, innovative learning medium that supports the achievement of more optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Language Encyclopedia media to foster creative thinking skills that are appropriate for Indonesian language subjects on fable material. This study uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The subjects of this study were second-grade students and second-grade teachers of SD Negeri 01 Wirotaman, Ampelgading. Data collection methods used observation and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were validation questionnaire sheets and teacher response questionnaires. The questionnaire sheets of experts or validators used a 4-point scale ranging from less to very good. From the results of the validation assessment by media experts obtained 94% with a very valid category, by language experts obtained 80% with a valid category, by material experts obtained 82% with a very valid category. Meanwhile, in the results of the practicality test by teachers obtained 88% with a very practical category and students obtained 82% with a very practical category. So this media is said to be valid and practical for use in learning. Teachers can use this language encyclopedia media to foster creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the psychometric quality of a dyscalculia risk screening instrument designed for grade 3 elementary school students. A total of 147 students from four elementary schools in Tangerang were involved as respondents. The instrument consisted of 10 questions and was analyzed using the Rasch model Item Response Theory (IRT) approach with jMetrics software. The results of the analysis show that the items have a fairly wide range of difficulty levels (logit –2.53 to +2.84), but the distribution is not evenly distributed. Some items show misfits for the Rasch model, as well as high error standards on extreme items. Estimated participant ability (theta) shows a logite distribution from –4.62 to +4.55, with measurement reliability at the item level very high (0.9659), but at the moderate participant level (0.5984). The correlation coefficient between the raw score and the theta estimate of 0.9861 supports the validity of the instrument construct. These findings recommend improvements to the distribution of item difficulty levels and revisions to non-model items so that the instrument can be used effectively in inclusion education for early screening of dyscalculia risk.
