Abstract

AbstractIslam is a religion of liberation due to the fact that Islam appreciates human to be in equal level, maintains humanity, and higly supports the values democration and justice, teaches telling the truth, and loves the poor and the oppressed. Thus, Islamic education ideally could be conducted on the basis of equality and human dignity. This is to get rid of external hegemony an dit is to give priority to rightness,  honesty and fairness, sincerity, and simplicity. The educational foundation might be used by the peasantren (Islamic boarding school) for the instrcutional practice. It is derived from the values that are developed through the educational process---independency, simplicity, and sincerity. The values become the armor for pesantren to get free from any kinds of life anomaly as the impact of the hegemony of modern life style and paradigm. AbstractIslamic boarding school is the oldest Islamic education institution in Indonesia. from the perspective of politic, the existency of Islamic boarding school has just been admitted by the post-reformation  government. It is declared on the article of  UU No. 20 Tahun 2003 about SISDIKNAS, the establishment of special directorate in Religious Affairs departement, the publishment of  various law products, and mu’âdalah (equality) toward some Islamic boarding schools. Abstract

AbstractThis article explains how the state commits a hegemony against pesantren (Islamic boarding school) and how pesantren performs a counter-hegemony. The writer uses the concept of Hegemony purposed by Gramsci. State hegemony against pesantren has started since the collonialism of the East Indies through the penetration of modernization discourse issued to the pesantren circle. The hegemony continued in the era of new order (orde baru) by publishing an integrated-letter of akcnowledgment (SKB) released by three ministries  in 1975. It claimed that pesantren and madrasah became the part of  national education. As a result, the compostion of Madrasah instructional material must be 60% for general science and the rest was for religious science. Yet, when the state hegemony comes to the peak point pesantren undergoes a counter-hegemony. Pesantren still maintains its distinct educational system independently; the educational system includes the curriculum as well as the instructional process. This firm act results a state acceptance. Since 1998 the government  has released a  letter of acknwoledment of degree equating. This model of pesantren known as pesantren mu’adalah (equation). Abstract

AbstractThe dichotomy of religious science and general science has become serious problem that haunts the education system among Muslims.  It implies the development of religious education that seperates the life and after-life matters. One of the sollutions is by placing the unification of the epistimology and theory of educational system into a system. This is to find out the synthesis of educational system by stressing the balance aspect and must be developed thriugh the use of human natura pillars that is covered by religious teaching. The focus of the target would be on integrative and multi-dimensional aspects of students---cognitice, psychomotoric, and affective. It means that an integrative education is not only a matter of one way educational process but also the multi-dimensional education process. It goes around physical and psychological processes, intellectual, behavior, and social.  On the context of religious education systematic and organism models are built upon the components of cooperation, living togetehr, integratively. AbstractCharacter education is a planned effort in helping someone to understand, care, and act based on ethical values / moral principles adopted. AbstractOn each occasion many cultural experts, observers of culture and cultural practitioners feel a great concern to the culture of the past who have started eroded by foreign cultures is not a country boy culture.
