Abstract

This research analyses the effect between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, trust, and intention to use on a digital zakat application at Malang City. The object of this research utilizes people who are 23 years of age and over. Besides, they are required to have income, know about a digital zakat application, and are required to pay zakat using the application. This research used a nonprobability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique of 104 respondents. It also utilized smartPLS 3.0 as data analysis. The research instruments involve the inner model test, outer model, conversion path diagram, and hypothesis testing. The result of the analysis reveals perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, and trust explicitly affect intention to use the digital zakat application. Trust can mediate the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and social influence toward intention to use. Social Influence and Trust have a dominant influence on intention to use. In this case, service facility providers can promote digital zakat applications through any media to reach potential consumers. It can help them give some recommendations about the use of zakat applications. Moreover, it will help create trust in consumers about using digital zakat applications.

Monitoring and evaluating learners' progress are some of the most challenging parts in implementing printed modular distance learning as claimed by the teacher-respondents. Communicating with students and parents is one of the challenges faced by the teachers due to limited internet signals in the area. The majority of the learners do not have gadgets like smartphones and laptops. Collaborations and strong partnerships with parents and colleagues helped the teachers cope with the mentioned challenges. For the parents, the most challenging part was establishing routine among their children in studying. Assistance from relatives, searching the internet and using other learning resources like books and asking for assistance from the teachers help the parents face the challenges they encountered. For the student's they find it hard to study alone the module. Some lesson needs to be explained to them to understand well. Performance tasks were among the student's preferences in implementing printed modular distance learning. Parents' and relatives' assistance helps the learner in doing activities. Using books and other supplementary materials and searching on the internet also help the learners do the activities stated in the modules.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the direct and indirect effect of justice perception, which would be analyzed in this research and based on three dimensions as distributive justice, interactional justice, and procedural justice to the customer affection and loyalty of patients in Xxx Hospital Malang. The research population covered the patients or families who have complained about service failure in the hospital. This data was based on the data from the public relation of Xxx Hospital Malang in 2018. The total sample was 232 respondents who had been selected through the saturated sampling method. The data was analyzed through the Partial Least Square PLS technique in SmartPLS 3.0 program application. The research finding indicated that distributive justice did not significantly affect customer affection from the three construct dimensions of justice perception. In contrast, the interactional justice and procedural justice affected positively and significantly the customer affection, and then the customer affection affected positively and significantly patient loyalty. This result showed that the higher interactional justice and procedural justice of patients would determine the higher customer affection of patients to Xxx Hospital Malang. The higher customer affection would determine the higher patient loyalty. For further research is recommended to re-explore the research variables that might affect the customer affection and loyalty directly on similar research objects or other hospitals, for instance, customer satisfaction, revisit intention, WOM, and other aspects. The next researches should also be done by developing the research model and using samples with different characteristics.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain an in-depth insight into budgetary slack practices performed by managers during the budgeting processes of a state-owned enterprise. This research uses qualitative research methods with an interpretive paradigm using a case study approach. The data is collected through interviews, supported by observation and documentation, with informants involved in the planning and budgeting process. The results of this research indicate that the participatory approach adopted in the budgeting process is the trigger of budgetary slack practice. The practice created in the budgeting of sales and production is aimed at achieving maximum profit at the end of the budget period. Asymmetric information and goal clarity are aspects of human behavior that appear in budgetary slack practice. Besides, the applied participation mechanism tends to show symptoms of pseudo participation. Social facts show that budgetary slack practice is created by aspects of human behavior that are motivated by material or financial aspects.
