Abstract

Diarrhea cases in children under five are still one of the causes of the death of most children. Based on reports from the Palembang City Health Office, there is an increase in the number of diarrhea cases in urban areas between 2015-2016. There is one health center in urban areas that has a 4-fold increase between 2015-2016. The purpose of this study was to investigate the causes of an increase in diarrhea cases in the working area of Punti Kayu health center which included urban areas. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using secon-dary data, interviews with 3 health center staff and regional observations. The research was conducted in the working area of Punti Kayu Palembang Health Center. The results will be analyzed using the GIS approach to produce a map of the spatial distribution of diarrhea cases in children between 2015-2016 in the city of Palembang. In addition, the Content Analysis method to investigate the causes of increased cases. After analysis, it was found that between 2015-2016 the highest increase in cases was in Alang-alang sub-district where there was the Punti Kayu Health Center. The cause of the increase in the number of cases is due to the presence of non-working areas in Punti Kayu health centers such as Sukarame, Talang Kelapa, and Social along with the widespread use of National Health Insurance. In addition, health promotion to the homes of most residents was rejected. The need for innovation in raising awareness about the importance of private sanitation and the need for separation of reporting between patients in the work area and non working areas so that it is clear how many cases in the area need to be intervened by the health care

Abstract

Regional Public Service Regency (RPSR) to provide services to the community without priority to seek profits, with existing data in unit Region Indra Center of West Sumatra Province has not been optimal yet in financial management, lack of the  services have not  standards, this study aims to evaluate the readiness of the implementation of the Financial Management Regional Public Service Regency (RPSR) at unit region Indra Centre of West Sumatera Province in 2016. This study uses qualitative study conducted in May to October 2016, with informants as much as 6 (six), data collection using indepth interview, document review and observation, analyzed by triangulation method and source. The results of the research show that the inputs are not well available yet, namely the regulations related to the implementation of the Financial Management Model of the Regional Public Service Regency (RPSR), human resources, limited budget, facilities and infrastructures are not yet eligible. In the process of substantive requirements have been eligible, technical requirements of service performance is quite good. and administrative requirements by assessing 6 documents have > 60% that is with a value of 80.3% which means the documents qualify administrative requirements. The conclusion of the study on the implementation of the Financial Management Model of the Regional Public Service Rgency (RPSR) at Unit Region Indra Centre West Sumatra, Unit Region Indra Centre is able to implement the full RPSR. Researchers suggest that it is necessary to draft the West Sumatra governor’s regulation on RPSR and complete administrative documents and improve the quality of services through improved management.

Abstract

Bukittinggi is a city in West Sumatra that become potential area for flooding. It is followed by increasing of diarrhea diseases. This also affects water quality. Bukittinggi is having problems with the provision of adequate clean water in accordance with the target of Sustainable Development Goals. This study aims to determine the relationship of floods to the incidence of diarrhea, water quality and community resilience in providing clean water for everyday life. The method used through a quantitative approach with cross-sectional design and conducted in December 2017 until January 2018. The results show the relationship between floods with diarrhea occurrence, water difficulty, water quality (smelly water, dirty water and the presence of insects and worms), as well as community resilience to help each other in water supply and water source storage to avoid contamination. It is advisable for the government to increase its social capacity in the provision of clean water because the city of Bukittinggi is vulnerable to floods that would damage water sources.

Abstract

One deposit/layers that accumulated and are attached to the surface of the tooth is debris. Debris index can be influenced by a kind of food edible. Consumedthe food are fibrous and watery like fruits is self-cleansing. Consumefibrous fruits and contain many water like apple, pineapple and carambola can help cleaning debris on the surface of the tooth.The methodology is research sample experiment with 60 students, level I of nursing teeth (20 chewing apple, 20 chewing pineapple, 20  chewing carambola). The sample in purpose sampling from the analysis test anova one way. The results of the study the difference of debris index is apple 1,1, pineapple 1,1 and carambola 1.09. Results test one way anova value p = 0.000 it means there are a differences the decline in debris index chewing with the apple, pineapple and carambola. Conclusions is apples and pineapple better in lowering debris index than carambola. Was recomended to respondents to consume fibrous fruit and watery after eating and to daily because pure the surface of the tooth naturally.

Abstract

The permanent first molars teeth are susceptible to  caries after eruption. According to parents, the teeth still has suffering, and they do not notice it. In research at 2012 said the children 9 years old had a high permanent molar caries teeth with percentage of 67%. This study aims to determine the relationship of mother knowledge abouteruption of M1 permanent teeth with M1 caries at SDN 05 PuhunPintuKabundistrict of Bukittinggi. This research used Analytical survey method with cross sectional design. The research population of all students of SDN 05 PuhunPintuKabunfor amount 120 students. The sample is saturated sampling that is the whole population used as the respondent with permanent dental calculation and eruption and present time of research. Data were collected by examination of single student molar caries and filling in questionnaire by mother. Data analysis using chi square test. The results of this research that the most knowledge of mother’s knowledge on the less appetizing is 58%, and good knowledge 9%. Number of students given permanent M1 of 51% and 49% do not caries.  Chi square statistic test P value: 0.565 (p> 0.05) means that there is no correlation between knowledge about permanent M1 eruption with M1caries. It is advisable to students who have permanent M1 to perform dental fillings.

Abstract

Dental  health workers have a high risk infection because the presence of pathogenic microorganisms in the oral cavity including blood and saliva and possibility of injury caused by needle stick. Transmission of infection can be prevented by reducing contact with cause of infection one of them with the use of self-protection tool in according “Standard Operational Procedure”. The study aim is to know the Knowledge of Dental Nurses about Infectious Diseases against the Use of Personal Protection Equipment in Dental Policlinic of Puskesmas in Bukittinggi and Payakumbuh. By using “Cross Sectional” design. Population was used all dental nurse at Dental Clinic amount 30 peoples. By using total population and data collection using questionnaire and observation. The results is a positive relationship and stronger between the knowledge of dental nurse about infection diseases of the using self-protection tool with r value in the amount of 0,886 (α 0,00 < 0,05). The conclusion is the higher knowledge of dental nurses about infectious diseases will be more complete and appropriate SOP. Suggested can be increasing their knowledge about infectious disease so that can protect him self one of them with the use of self-protection equipment according to SOP before and during the action.

Abstract

Maintenance of teeth in children was still lacking. Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) is influenced by the behavior of maintaining dental and oral health. This study aims to know relationship of the behavior of dental and oral health with the of OHI-S index grader V and VI in elementary school students 06 Gadut Agam 2016. This design study was of analytic with cross sectional method. The population of the research conducted in elementary  grade V and VI school students 06 Gadut Agam, sampling techniques with saturated sampling/research on population. Statistic analysis using Chi-square test. Research results showed the behavior of maintaining dental and oral health with criteria good enough 18 people (51.4%), criteria less 12 people (34.3%) and criteria very good 5 people (14.3%). Students who have an OHI-S middle index 33 people (94.3%) and good indexonly 2 people (5.7%). The results of statistical tests obtained value value = 0.002 (p-value ≤ 0.05) have a significant correlation between the behavior of maintaining dental and oral health with OHI-S index in elementary school students 06 Gadut Agam District . Behavior of dental and oral health can be described from the index of OHI-S. It is seen that students consuming sugary foods and sticky without rinse or brush their teeth.

Abstract

Plaque is caused of the caries and periodontal deseases. Plaque can be cleaned up by mechanization that is brushing teeth. The data show that decline in behave right of brushing teeth from 6.2% in 2007 become 1.7% in 2013. Best on the kinds of the movement of tooth brusing, there are six methode. Every techniques of brushing teeth having a overbalance and shortage. The objective research is knowing the differences plaque index of brushing teeth a combination of techniques roll and horizontal with a combination techniques vertical and horizontal to grade IV – V students in SDN 08 Kubang Duo Koto Panjang. The methode research is quasi experiment with pretest and postest approach. Technique sampling is random sampling as many as 54 people. Data retrival through observation dan treatment. The analysis data statistic with T-Test showed the significant difference between plaque index of brushing teeth a combination of techniques roll and horizontal with a combination techniques vertical and horizontal with p value 0,03. A combination of techniques roll and horizontal is more effectivly lowering plaque. Suggestion for the students to apply tooth brushing a combination of techniques roll and horizontal routinely every day 2 times to prevent the oral deseases.

Abstract

Brushing Teeth is one of the efforts in maintaining oral hygiene, one of which is cleaning debris (food waste) that stickto the teeth and to keep the teeth clean and healthy. This study aims to find out the debris index image between brushing teeth with 1 method, 2 methods and 3 methods in children aged 10-12 years. The study design was descriptive approach with cross sectional study. The research sample of 70 people consisting of 28 men and 42 women. The sampling technique used  totalsampling. Data analysis of  univariate analysis. The results showed that children with the brushing teeth using 1 method most of debris index withlow or bad criteria  as much as 83.33%, children with the brushing teeth using 2 methods most of debris index low or badcriteria  as much as 54.84% and children with the brushing teeth using  3 methods most of debris index with middle criteria as much as 75.76%. It is suggested to the children to brush their teeth with the correct technique so that the dental and oral hygiene is improved and maintained

Abstract

The issue of violence or sexual abuse in children is one of the reproductive health problems facing Indonesia. Some efforts to provide early child sex education have been done through teachers, parents and children. This study aims to describe the method of sex education that has been done to improve early childhood understanding related to reproductive health. The review process is done by searching the results of research can be accessed through google scholar in the form of journals, proceedings and scientific thesis, with the keyword "early child sex education", early reproductive health education ". Data selection and data extraction are done manually and then analyzed narratively. Early childhood sex education methods have been done for parents and children. Media used in the form of modules, infographics and games by way of lecture through lectures, discussion / group communication and games. With the advent of the development of technology and digital media it is necessary to optimize the media as a medium of early child sex education.
