Abstract

Dam and irrigation channels are utilized to supply irrigation in Way Jepara area. Way Jeparacannot optimally function because the catchment area is disturbed by illegal logging which mayincrease erosion rate as well as sedimentation to the dam. This research aims to analyze erosionwhich occurs in the catchment area and sedimentation in the dam. Erosion prediction model usedin this study is USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation). From the analysis it is obtained that totalerosion (A) in the catchment area is 2307.01 ton/year or 156.41 ton/ha/year which is classified aserosion class III or medium. The highest erosion rate, 1552.63 ton/ha/year, occurs in Land UnitNo. 107 near Langkap Mountain which is classified as severe. From the analysis the problemsarose can be categorized into two groups, problem related to catchment area conservation andtechnical l problem directly related to the dam. Solution to the problems should be based onconservation as well as social welfare.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of transport demand of people (passengers)and the pattern of movement in the base year (2011) and this year plans (2021 and 2031) in theDistrict of Pringsewu as a result of changes in land use. Data were obtained from the OD surveywith RSI and HI methods to 6272 respondents. The study area is divided into 11 zones (8 internaland 3 external). Development of trip assignment and validation OD matrix, using a softwareTRANPLAN transportation planning program. From this research found that the number of tripgeneration/attraction of Pringsewu district in 2011 as 57,001 people/day, expected to rise to102,080 in 2021 and in 2031 to 182,810 people/day. Movement patterns in the base year and stilltend to the same plan year, the kecamatan Pringsewu has always been a center of the movement.Continuous movement is still high on the National Road. Since the year 2021 the majority ofexisting roads already burdened with traffic flow and VCR values close to saturation. Shouldbegin to think about how to organize this movement patterns by implementing traffic management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the height of web openings on behaviour ofreinforced concrete beams. The dimensions of web openings are 180mm in length with variationsof height (40mm, 90mm, and 135mm), which is is located on the middle of beam’s span. Thespecimens were four reinforced concrete beams (150mmx270mmx3000mm), namely BP (a beamwithout web openings, BL1 ( a beam with web openings having heights of 40mm), BL2 ( a beamwith web openings having heights of 90mm), and BL3 ( a beam with web openings having heightsof 135mm). There were strengthening bars around the openings to avoid the happening of firstcracks around the openings. Compressive strength of concrete was 20 MPa. The testing of beamsused third-point-loading method which had 2700mm clear span. The results were, the maximumloads of BP, BL1, BL2, and BL3 were 3717kg, 3581kg, dan 3649kg respectively. The curve ofload-deflection and moment-curvature of each beam were sharper from BP, BL1, BL2, and BL3respectively. The conclusion is, the higher of openings will result the higher of maximum loads ofbeams, which is caused by the position of strengthening bars closer to flexural bars resulting thehigher of nominal moments.

Abstract

The Sunda Strait is the meeting of two tectonic plates, the Eurasian plate and Indo-Australianplate. Sunda Strait has a fairly high seismic activity. This is shown by several earthquakes thathave occurred in the Sunda Strait. The high seismic activity was caused by the presence of activefaults and subduction zones in the Sunda Strait. Based on the fairly high seismic activity in theSunda Strait is necessary to do research on the strain rate that occurred in the Sunda Strait. In thisstudy CGPS observations contained in the Sunda Strait and parts of Java Barat. Based on theresults of GPS data processing, the observation point in the western part of the Sunda Strait hasvelocity in the direction of the North West with a value ranging from 2.21 to 3.16 shift in cm / yearand the eastern part of the Sunda Strait between 2.09 to 3.24 shift cm / year to the Northeast.Based on the pattern of strain, the West tends to have an extension of the Sunda Strait, as well asfor the eastern Sunda Strait. While the northern part of the Sunda Strait compressed. This showsthe activity and the Sumatran Subduction Fault in the area.

Abstract

In planning the construction and development of the Port, sedimentation or siltation problemsshould be minimized, especially in swimming harbor to secure and expedite the flow of shipping.Every time the sediment on the seabed will increase, in connection with the, to reduce siltationcaused by sedimentation is by dredging sediment pond Ports. Sediment defined as a collection ofparticle-organic and inorganic particles are irregularly shaped and accumulate extensively incoastal areas. based on Longshore Sediment Transport Table average rate of sediment obtained2176071.364 m3/yr/m. it means, within a period of 1 year, the extent of sediment by 2176071.364m2. And the time when the maximum height allowable sediment was 10.69 years. It means every10.69 years to do the dredging of the sediment on the sea floor, particularly in the harbor pool.

Abstract

Economic growth and available of infrastructures supply are requirement to fulfill demand ofpassengers and goods movement. In other hand, the restrictions of available budget could beobstacle to implement due to city’s limited budget that should financed other sectors such ashealthy, education, running water, garbage etc.City’s of Bandar Lampung try on searching secondary finance as an alternative source throughPusat Investasi Pemerintah (PIP), a special institution of Financial Ministry, reserve fundedconstruction of few project which consist of two flyovers and widening of seven main roads acrossthe city.Off course, it’s rightfully if public and taxpayers want to find out what are the benefit of thoseproject and how substantial would be influence for Bandar Lampung. Does a loan would becommensurable to obtained long term benefit? Research aims to enumerative the economicbenefit of construction of transport infrastructure, that’s as a whole will be fully complete danoperate. Meanwhile the widening section of seven main roads had completely a head. The resultshows that’s economic benefits of these project, direct and indirect, is bigger than wholesaleinvestment.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to study the periodic and stochastic models of data series of the weeklycumulative rainfall. The study was done by using daily rainfall series with long data 25 years(1977-2001) of Purajaya station. Based on the daily rainfall series, a weekly cumulative rainfallseries was calculated. The series of rainfall is assumed to be free of trend. Periodicities ofperiodic rainfall model of the weekly rainfall data series were presented by using 509 periodiccomponents. Stochastic components of the weekly rainfall data are assumed as residues betweenthe rainfall data with the periodic rainfall model. The stochastic components were calculatedusing the approach of autoregressive model. Stochastic Model presented in this research is usingthe thirth order autoregressive model. Validation between rainfall data and the periodic-stochastic rainfall model is done by calculating the correlation coefficient. For this study, thecorrelation coefficient between the data and the model of the weekly cumulative rainfall is 0,9999.From the results of this study can be inferred that the model of the weekly rainfall from Purajayastation gives very highly accurate approach.

Abstract

A case study to Sp. Pematang – Sp. Bujung Tenuk state road (002 ; The Regulation of Minister ofPublic Works No. 631/KPTS/M/2009 on December 31 st, 2001 about the status and function ofState Road/ Non-Toll Road) included to Arterial Road of Eastern (Trans Asean Highway plan). The increasing of LHR volume and traffic weight has caused severe damages in certain parts. Those damages had been repaired by rigid pavement, by using concrete K-350 with 25 centime-ters thickness, 3.50 M x 5.00 M segmentation. After 4 years, the concrete pavement broke, thedamages are cracks on the edges, strips/lengthways, splits, vanish and perforated. Based on themodel of rigid pavement structure, figured out that the tendency of need of additional reinforce-ment on the edge of the plate, so the weight will not only be borne by concrete plate and dowerbars. The position of vehicle wheels were in the center or plate (Model 2), which affect negativelyto concrete plate with maximal moment as 7715.53 kgr.m and so additional reinforcement (plaitreinforcement) of D12-125 mm was needed. The better quality of concrete, the smaller deflectionwill be. By using fy = 400 MPA, but a conversion could be done for lower quality concrete case inorder to get proper reinforcement’s wide. That’s why the repair advice concentrate to not only onone segment of concrete plate, but also only on damages by giving additional reinforcement (wiremesh) D12 -200 mm (Model 2). To reach the increasing point of concrete tensile stress, the addi-tional reinforcement (wire mash) is needed, depending on damages repair.
