Abstract

This study is done to comprehend how cosplayers can integrate their personality with their chosen character. We have discovered a problem with cosplayers using a piece of popular culture to build their identities. Therefore, participatory observation and in-depth interviews were undertaken to solve the problem and learn more about the subject above. As secondary data, we checked the literature, conducted field observations, and interviewed informants for our primary data. Our research yielded information on several factors that influence cosplayers' behavior, the connection between cosplaying and character attraction, and other topics, benefits of cosplay, the need to conceal identity while becoming a cosplayer, the motivation behind concealing identity, the satisfaction of cosplay, the pandemic and its effect on cosplay events, and a comparison to the identification problems outside of Indonesia. The finding of this study shows that cosplayers participate in their hobbies to interact, unwind, and meet new people who share their interests. We concluded that cosplayers hide their identities because they don't want their cosplay activities to disrupt their regular lives. Keywords: self-identity, cosplay, pandemic, constructivism paragdim, phenomenology.

The data used is secondary data on 29 districts/cities in Papua Province for five years (2017-2021). The research method used is Panel Data Regression with the help of the E-views 9 application. Hypothesis testing is done through the T-Test to determine the direct effect and the Cobel Test to determine the indirect effect through the intervening variable. The results showed that PAD had no direct influence on HDI, while DOK and BM had a significant negative influence. As for the indirect effect, PAD and DOK have a negative significant indirect effect on HDI through BM. Abstract

Assistive technology in public sector services is an effort to reduce discrimination in public services. Studying bioethics as part of life sciences is important, especially regarding administrative and humanistic bioethics (Becker, 2021). This study aims to analyze the continuity of the BREXIT (Braille E-Ticket Extraordinary Access for Visual Disabilities) innovation in improving the quality of health services for persons with visual disabilities in Malang City, Indonesia. The variables used were the Service Innovation Variable (X) and the Public Service Quality Variable (Y). The data analysis technique used is the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) method with the software Rapfish (Rapid Appraisal of Fisheries) 3.1 for Windows. The results showed that the BREXIT program succeeded in reducing the perception gap between people with disabilities (visually impaired) compared with non-disabled people, especially in health services at Janti Health Center Malang City, Indonesia. Keywords: disability services, public services, BREXIT service innovation, inclusive public service

Abstract

One of the current human resource management challenges is dealing with the behavior of employees who wish to move to another place because, in recent years, this phenomenon has continued to occur. The high rate of turnover intention also appears in several private and public hospitals in Malang Raya. This study aims to examine the effect of emotional intelligence on the intention to leave through nurses' organizational commitment. This type of research is explanatory. The research location is in private, public hospitals in Malang Raya (Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City). Using proportional random sampling, there were as many as 253 nurses with a response rate of 84.3%. The analysis method is descriptive statistics using the General Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) approach. The findings of this study indicate that emotional intelligence is a predictor of increasing organizational commitment and reducing intention to leave. They can cope with stress and work pressure more effectively, increasing job satisfaction and reducing the urge to leave the organization. The ability to understand, recognize, and manage emotions in themselves and others makes it easier for them to work with colleagues and superiors. Positive work relationships strengthen their attachment to the organization. Emotional intelligence helps reduce prolonged conflict and increases communication effectiveness, ultimately making the work environment more conducive. Keywords: emotional intelligence, work-life balance, organizational commitment, intention to leave

Abstract

Community participation manifests public awareness, concern, and responsibility for the importance of development, which aims to improve the quality of life. Development is the government's obligation and demands community involvement, whose quality will be improved. Indonesia, in carrying out environmental development, still really needs community participation in terms of waste management. Waste management aims to improve public health, environmental quality, and economic resources. This waste management activity will contribute to the government by creating job opportunities, improving welfare, and empowering women who do not work. This study analyzed women's participation in waste management in Dau District, Malang Regency. Respondents were 28 women who became administrators of the Family Welfare Program in the sub-district. To measure the level of participation, the number of scores from the variables was then calculated in the rating scale. The results showed that women's participation in waste management was at the placation level, namely the 5th level of the 8 participation levels. The research suggestion is to increase women's participation through empowerment, namely giving women greater decision-making in the waste management cycle, starting from planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating. Keywords: Waste management, women’s participation, women’s empowerment

Abstract

Community participation in waste management is very important because the community contributes the largest volume of waste generation. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the quality of the community's role in waste management from the perspective of women's perceptions. Data were obtained from 30 female organization administrators in Dau District, Malang Regency. The data were analyzed by using the ratio between the facts of respondents' answers and the maximum score for the quality of roles with ordinal data scales. The results showed that group roles' quality was highest, discussion attendance was high, physical activity was high, and waste management fees were lowest. This research suggests that public awareness of paying dues needs to be increased by motivating through the 3R partial waste management results to improve public facilities in the village and sub-district areas. Keywords: decision-making, fact and ideal score ratio, role quality, waste management
