Abstract

This research has discussed switching behavior problem mediated by customer satisfaction. The aims of this research are to understand customer satisfaction dimension which are consist of service quality, financial considerations, and convenience in its influence towards switching behavior, by using survey of 200 inactive customer to verify research hypothesis. Data analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis methods toward customer of PT. Bank Central Asia, Tbk branch Malang. This result research has shown that service quality significantly influence to switching behavior financial consideration significantly influence to switching behavior in term of low savings rate dimension, but insignificant to administration fee and loan interest, convenience insignificantly influence to switching behavior in terms of ATM and service hours. New findings that convenience is also involve provided parking lot, almost in every branch office of BCA in Malang complaining the same thing.

Abstract

This study was aimed to assess the influence of corporate governance and intellectual capital on the firm value of Bank Sector companies listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008-2012. The unit data of Indonesia Stock Exchange is represented by the audited company's financial statements and historical data of stock prices in Indonesia Stock Exchange from the year of 2008 to 2012. Companies sampled in the study only companies which meet the sampling criteria. Data analysis used Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). Result of research indicates that Corporate Governance does not have significant influence on Intellectual Capital. It seems that Intellectual Capital does not have significant influence on Corporate Governance either. However, Corporate Governance and Intellectual Capital are significantly influences the firm value.

Abstract

The Islam Defense Action in Jakarta during November to December 2016 was the largest protest movement that ever been held in Indonesia and brought national concerns over political instability. Hudred thousands to milions of people overwhelmed the streets protesting the alleged blasphemy on Islam by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, a candidate for the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election that has a close connection to President Joko Widodo. This article analyzes the outbreak of the protest movement as a depiction of the strategic influence of Islamic groups in the midst of political upheaval threat. The protest movement showed a struggle to defend their values, but on the other hand its political impact cannot be disclaimed. Above all of the phenomena, Islam Defense Action implies that religious sentiment still interacts with the politics and challenging the role of Islamic civil society toward Indonesia democracy transition in the post 2014.

Abstract

This study aimed at analyzing the impact of urban sprawl towards suburbanization and informal sector in western suburb area of Malang City. Mix method was employed by incorporating both quantitative and qualitative approaches. A quantitative approach was employed to investigate the urban sprawl by utilizing SIG method integrated with remote sensing by the indicators of built-up land in 1995,2000, 2003, 2010, and 2015. A qualitative approach was aimed at detecting the stages of suburbanization in the western suburb area of Malang City.The location to conduct the study was determined by means of purposive sampling. The data were collected through semi-structured interview with the recruited 50 natives and 50 migrants. The in-depth interviews were conducted with some community figures.This current study has found that suburbanization in the western suburb area of Malang City comprises three stages, namely: 1) pre-suburbanization occurred until 1990; 2) the first stage of suburbanization occurred in the early 1990s; and 3) the second stage of suburbanization occurred in 2000s. This study has also uncovered that suburbanization affects the growth of an informal sector that has eroded the strategic role of the agricultural sector, and thus the area grows as peri-urban. Eventually, urban sprawl, suburbanization, and the growth of informal sector result in the agricultural involution and emerging poverty phenomenon.

Abstract

Program adiwiyata bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas sekolah dalam mewujudkan sekolah peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan, menanamkan pendidikan dan cinta lingkungan. Kota Batu telah mengikuti program adiwiyata sejak tahun 2008 dan telah mendapatkan penghargaan adiwiyata bagi 15 sekolah dari 147 sekolah yang ada di Kota Batu. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, dirumuskan permasalahan sebagai berikut : (1) Bagaimana ketercapaian indikator penilaian adiwiyata dalam pengelolaan sekolah adiwiyata di Kota Batu (2) Apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat?, (3) Bagaimana merumuskan strategi pembinaan sekolah adiwiyata di Kota Batu? Penelitian ini bertujuan menjawab permasalahan tersebut dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis IFAS-EFAS. Kesimpulan analisis sebagai berikut : (1) aspek partisipatif adalah aspek yang paling lemah pada sekolah adiwiyata nasional, provinsi dan kota. (2) penilaian faktor internal dan eksternal, menunjukkan bahwa sekolah adiwiyata mandiri dan nasional memiliki kekuatan dan peluang yang paling tinggi dibandingkan adiwiyata provinsi dan kota. Posisi adiwiyata mandiri dan nasional pada kuadran I (1,35 ; 0,8), adiwiyata provinsi dan kota pada kuadran II (1,35 ; -0,15) dan (0,2 ; -0,95). (3) strategi prioritas adiwiyata mandiri: strategi keberlanjutan, adiwiyata nasional: strategi pengembangan, adiwiyata provinsi: strategi pertumbuhan dan adiwiyata kota: strategi perencanaan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh service quality terhadap loyalty, service quality terhadap customer satisfaction, service quality terhadap corporate image, customer satisfaction terhadap loyalty, dan corporate image terhadap loyalty pada nasabah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research yang menjelaskan hubungan sebab-akibat antar satu variabel dengan variable lainnya. Metode analisa pada penelitian ini adalah Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA), dilanjutkan dengan pengujian hipotesis guna mengetahui pengaruh terhadap variabel-variabel yang sudah ditentukan. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 140 nasabah yang bertransaksi di BRI Unit Sawojajar. Teknik yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan angket ke responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) service quality berpengaruh positif dan signifiikan terhadap customer satisfaction, 2) service quality berpengaruh positif dan signifiikan terhadap corporate image, 3) customer satisfaction berpengaruh positif dan signifiikan terhadap loyalty nasabah, 4) corporate image berpengaruh positif dan signifiikan terhadap loyalty nasabah, 5) service quality berpengaruh positif dan signifiikan terhadap loyalty nasabah.

Abstract

Segmentasi pasar memberikan peluang bagi peritel guna menyesuaikan produknya dengan permintaan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui segmen pasar produk private label makanan siap saji di Circle K. Penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk menggambarkan karakteristik konsumen dari variabel demografis, geografis, dan perilaku, analisis cluster K-Mean untuk menentukan segmen pasar dari variabel psikografis, analisis SWOT untuk menyusun faktor-faktor strategis perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) segmen pasar yang terbentuk adalah mayoritas konsumen perempuan, berusia 15 – 25 tahun, berpendidikan terakhir SMU, belum menikah, bekerja sebagai karyawan, tinggal di Surabaya, mengetahui makanan siap saji lewat teman, tujuan membeli mencoba-coba, membeli untuk makan, membeli sekali seminggu, kebiasaaan membeli mencoba yang baru, membeli ditemani teman, bersedia merekomendasikan, berminat membeli setelah mengetahuinya, tidak mudah bosan dengan makanan siap saji, menanggapi positif makanan siap saji sebagai makanan yang sehat dan bergizi, mempunyai kualitas dan nilai gizi yang baik, tidak membuat gemuk, dapat dikonsumsi oleh semua konsumen di segala usia, terjamin kebersihannya, dan mempunyai porsi yang cukup untuk sekali makan. 2) Kemungkinan alternatif strategis adalah menjaga kualitas produk, meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan, inovasi produk sesuai kebutuhan konsumen dengan harga yang terjangkau, menambah gerai, meningkatkan promosi, mempertahankan ciri khas produk, meningkatkan hubungan baik dengan pelanggan.

Abstract

This research approach is qualitative research based on phenomenology. The essence of phenomenological study is to describe the views, knowledge, as well as the interpretation of a concept or phenomenon of subjects with a particular phenomenon, therefore, this study aims to understand the meaning of the concept of corporate social responsibility from the perspective of PT. Petrokimia Gresik management. The results showed that PT. Petrokimia Gresik management interprets the concept of corporate social responsibility (1). as accountability to the government; (2). as accountability to shareholders; (3). as accountability to the public; (4). as accountability to the environment; (5). as accountability to employees; and (6). as accountability to customers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis:1) sikap konsumen terhadap atribut susu merek Hilo dan Anlene, 2) sikap konsumen terhadap pengaruh lingkungan sosial pada keputusan pembelian susu merek Hilo dan Anlene, serta 3) perbedaan sikap konsumen terhadap atribut susu bubuk Hilo dan Anlene. Atribut yang digunakan meliputi: merek, rasa, label, harga dan promosi, sedangkan lingkungan sosial konsumen meliputi: anggota keluarga, orang lain dan tenaga penjual.Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik snowballsampling. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu multi-atribut model dan norma subyektif model dengan menggunakan analisis Fishbein dan uji jenjang bertanda Wilcoxon. Multi-atribut model untuk mengetahui sikap konsumen terhadap atribut susu bubuk tinggi kalsium yang terdiri dari skor kepercayaan (bi) dan skor evaluasi (ei), sedangkan norma subyektif model untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan sosial konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian susu bubuk tinggi kalsium yang terdiri dari nilai keyakinan (NBj) dan nilai motivasi (MCj). Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa: 1) konsumen memiliki sikap positif terhadap atribut susu bubuk berkalsium tinggi merek Hilo dan Anlene, yaitu sebesar 4,93 dan 4,73; 2) lingkungan sosial mempengaruhi norma subyektif konsumen dalam melakukan pembelian susu merek Hilo dan Anlene, yaitu sebesar 2,13 dan 2,18; 3) ada perbedaan sikap konsumen pada atribut rasa (Anlene > 0,20 Hilo), label (Anlene 0,29 > Hilo) dan promosi (Anlene < 0,66 Hilo), sedangkan pada atribut merek dan harga tidak ada perbedaan sikap konsumen.

Abstract

Communication models emerging and developing recently are still theoretically dominated by western perspective. “Seven Traditions” term previously promoted by Robert Craigh has grown into “Ten Traditions”. Other side of this prespective, eastern perspective, is indeed also meaningful in undestanding the review of communication science. Islam perspective represented by Prophet Muhammad SAW constitutes this eastern side. However, eastern perspective is not the object of spotlight in the academic review either in the west or east parts of the world. As a part of the responsibility for the intellectualism, the author feels necessary to adopt the title “Interpersonal Communication Model of Prophet Muhammad SAW”. The methodology of this review is qualitative. Literature study is used as the approach of review because the observed object is related with the history and also because field study is not reliable approach for the type of qualitative review. Result of the current review shows that communication models introduced by Prophet Muhammad SAW does not escape from the guidance and revelation of Allah SWT stated in Al Qur’an and Hadist. It is expected that interpersonal communication model of Prophet Muhammad SAW should be new paradigm in the review of communication science beyond western perspective that is currently developed.
