Abstract

Abstract The multiculturality of Indonesian society has positive and negative impacts on harmony between tribes, races, cultures and religions. Positive impacts on creating harmony, tolerance and the richness of the nation's culture. Negative impacts on claims on customs and conflicts if not managed properly. Like the conflicts that have occurred in Ambon, North Maluku, Poso and Central Kalimantan. This requires further review for the preventive mission of ethnic, racial, cultural and religious conflicts. The research aims to analyze the learning impact of contemporary and multicultural Islamic education studies on postgraduate students of IAIN Ponorogo. The research method was carried out using qualitative methods. Data collection was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The number of informants was 10 postgraduate students in the Islamic religious education study program for the 2022 academic year. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The data presentation method used data display. The results showed that the study of contemporary and multicultural Islamic education at the IAIN Ponorogo postgraduate program had an impact on, (1) Increasing students' sensitivity to contemporary issues. Especially in understanding the culture that developed in modern times and the characteristics of modern society. Abstract

Being in the contemporary world of today, Islamic education has been challenged in promoting peace, particularly in the context of Muslim minority. The study employs qualitative research methodology to find out the role of Islamic education in promoting peace in a society: A study of Fatoni University, Thailand. This paper reveals that Islam is the religion of peace. Islam considers peace as the top of believe principles and the highest goal of worship and honor God (Allah).Thus, peace is as the ultimate goal of man living both in this world and the Hereafter. Islam prescribes peace in all the system of human life. Through Islamic education system, peace could be built, promoted, and well-functioning at a level of an individual, family, communities, a country, and Ummah as the universal entity. The aims and objectives of Islamic education are the creation a perfect man, who plays the role as a good servant and vicegerent on the earth (Khalifah) and be blessed in this world and the Hereafter; and lead to the construction of a good society based on Islamic teachings. Fatoni University, an Islamic higher educational institute in Thailand, has played its vital role in providing integrated Islamic education and promoting peace. It employs the integrated Islamic curriculum and co-curriculum in preparing its staff and students for building peace. Abstract

Dengan menggunakan pendekatan antropologi sosial, artikel ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan secara kualtatif peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam memelihara dan melestarikan identitas sosiokultural-religius mayarakat Muslim di Thailand Selatan. Dalam studi ini, data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), observasi, dan dokumentasi. Dari analisis data dengan teknik analisis isi dan analisis wacana, temuan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam konteks mayarakat Muslim di Thailand Selatan pendidikan agama Islam di madrasah berperan penting dalam melakukan preservasi identitas sosiokultural-religius melalui pendekatan kurikulum, komunikasi, dan peraturan. Abstract

Islamic education is currently faced with the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, which demands success in developing higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in students. This study aims to understand the concept of HOTS in Islamic education, analyze the challenges of Islamic education in developing HOTS in the Society 5.0 era, and provide solutions to strengthen the development of HOTS in Islamic education. The research method used is a literature study and descriptive analysis. The results showed that HOTS is a more complex thinking ability that requires analytical, creative and critical abilities. The challenges of Islamic education in developing HOTS in the Society 5.0 era are the lack of teachers who are trained in developing HOTS, the lack of appropriate use of technology in learning, and the lack of support from parents and society. Solutions to strengthen HOTS development in Islamic education include teacher training in developing HOTS, appropriate use of technology in learning, and involving parents and the community in supporting student HOTS development. In order to strengthen HOTS development in Islamic education, collaborative and synergistic efforts are needed between educational institutions, government, community, and other stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership of Women Ulama as Nyai Pesantren during the pandemic. This research was conducted in two Pesantren led by women, Nyai Hannah Zamzami in East Java and Nyai Masriyah Amva in West Java. Using qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, researchers revealed how women's leadership could respond to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and intense life researchers in Pesantren. The collected data were analyzed comparatively.  The results showed: (1) The typology of the Pesantren has different characteristics. Pesantren, under the leadership of Nyai Masriyah Amva is favored with character education according to talents and interests as well as edupreneurship. Pesantren, under the leadership of Nyai Hannah Zamzami, emphasized more tahfidz al-Qur'an with the Fami Bisyauqin method (2) The type of Nyai leadership in Pesantren Kebon Jambu Babakan Ciwaringin West Java and Pesantren al-Baqarah East Java, both apply democratic, egalitarian, openness leadership types. The difference is that Nyai Masriyah Amva is more dominant with the character of independence, while Nyai Hannah Zamzami is more dominant with a strong character in memorizing the Qur'an. (3) The implications of the leadership types of Nyai Masriyah and Nyai Hannah are very influential on developing Pesantren and human resources, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

This paper aims to analyze social media's impact on student character formation in one of the junior high schools in Probolinggo Regency, East Java, from the perspective of social identity. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study, in which researchers used interviews, observation and documentation to obtain valid and authentic data. The data analysis technique is carried out circularly, from data reduction to data presentation and conclusion. The study results show three motivations behind the character changes in students from the perspective of social identity: self-enhancement and positive distinctiveness, uncertainty reduction, and optimal distinctiveness. These three things can positively and negatively impact the dynamics of changes in children's character. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of human resource management, organizational culture, and community participation on the quality of education. This research was conducted in private Madrasas throughout Pekanbaru City. This research is a quantitative research using a causal method, a path analysis technique approach. Respondents to this study were the heads of Madrasahs, Educators and Education Personnel, Madrasah Superintendents, Heads of Madrasah Sections and Madrasah Committees who were selected based on simple random sampling. The research findings are: first, there is a positive direct effect of human resource management on the quality of education, secondly, there is a positive direct effect of organizational culture on the quality of education, thirdly, there is a positive direct effect of community participation on the quality of education, fourthly, there is a positive direct effect of management human resources on community participation, fifth, there is influence positive direct organizational culture on community participation and Sixth, there is a significant influence of human resource management on organizational culture. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the quality of education is influenced simultaneously and partially by human resource management, organizational culture, and community participation. Meanwhile, community participation is significantly influenced by human resource management and organizational culture. Meanwhile, organizational culture is significantly influenced by human resource management. The implication of this research is that efforts to improve the quality of education can be carried out through the application of human resource management, organizational culture and community participation.

Abstract

This study aims to document the experiences of lecturers at State Islamic Religious Colleges (PTKIN) and State Universities (PTUN) regarding student religiosity. Ten lecturers from two PTKIN and nine lecturers from two PTUN became informants for this qualitative research. In-depth interviews were conducted to collect data and analyze it narratively. The results showed that PTKIN lecturers saw that the religiosity of their students was not better than students at PTUN. It turned out that lecturers at PTUN had conducted studies on lecture material from the perspective of the Koran and encouraged their students to explore Islam through activities outside of lectures. Both lecturers at PTKIN and PTUN see that students' religiosity is formed before they go to college, and is influenced by family factors and religious extracurricular activities. The experience of lecturers at PTKIN and PTUN is that community expectations are very high for the religiosity of PTKIN students compared to PTUN students. Abstract

Pendidikan yang tidak berangkat dari fitrah manusia akan gagal melahirkan generasi yang memiliki peran spesifik terbaik dalam peradaban. Untuk mengatasi persoalan kepribadian anak bangsa tersebut penguatan pendidikan karakter merupakan pintu masuk untuk melakukan pembenahan secara menyeluruh terhadap Pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh fitrah based learning terhadap penguatan karakter mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan kuantitatif yang akan mengkaji pengaruh “Fitrah Based Learning” dalam pembelajaran dan pengaruhnya terhadap penguatan karakter mahasiswa, Penelitian ini di lakukan pada bulan Januari-Februari 2023 di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Teknik pengambilan sempel menggunakan teknik random sapling dengan jumlah sampel 333 responden. Data yang di gunakan adalah data primer dengan menyebarkan angket. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana dengan SPSS. Hasil penelitian variabel pelaksanaan fitrah based learning moyoritas sangat baik sebanyak 74% dan variabel karekter mahasiswa mayoritas sebanyak 77%. Hasil uji Regresi Linier diperoleh nilai koefesien korelasinya sebesar 0,457 dan nilai p-value (sig.) sebesar 0,000.
