Abstract

Di era globalisasi, moralitas pemuda muslim terancam oleh berbagai pengaruh buruk seperti media sosial, budaya asing, dan nilai-nilai yang bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam. Sayangnya, pendidikan agama Islam yang seharusnya menjadi benteng moral justru menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan strategi pendidikan agama Islam dalam membangun integritas moral pemuda muslim di era globalisasi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (Library Research), teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dokumentasi dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal, dan artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama Islam menghadapi beberapa tantangan utama, yaitu pengaruh budaya asing, perkembangan teknologi dan media sosial yang sangat cepat, serta krisis identitas pada diri pemuda Muslim. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, pendidikan agama Islam perlu melakukan beberapa hal, seperti membuat kurikulum yang sesuai dengan zaman namun tetap berpegang pada nilai-nilai Islam, meningkatkan kualitas para guru agama, serta bekerja sama dengan orang tua dan masyarakat. Jika strategi-strategi tersebut diterapkan dengan baik, diharapkan pendidikan agama Islam dapat mencetak pemuda Muslim yang memiliki karakter kuat dan mampu menghadapi tantangan zaman. Pemuda Muslim yang berkarakter baik akan menjadi pemimpin masa depan yang membawa perubahan positif bagi umat Islam.

Abstract

This research is aimed at investigating the role of Islamic studies in promoting inclusive citizenship in the context of Islamic schools in Indonesia and the United States. Islamic schools have been seen in a rather negative or pessimistic manner due to the sweeping accusation of them being a place for Islamic conservatism. Meanwhile, the currently increasing diversity of society inspirits citizenship to be more inclusive, not only does the state impose equality amongst citizens, but also citizens develop respect and solidarity to others. Through this qualitative research conducted in both contexts, this study found that Islamic studies to a larger extent were designed to educate students to become inclusive citizens. Islam introduced in the textbooks in a weekend Islamic school in the US looks more open to a deeper interreligious relationship because, as a minority, Muslims are eager to display a more friendly Islam to respond to social demands and stigmatization. This study confirms anthropological studies that argue for the plurality of Islam in the domains of interpretations and practices bounded in historical, social and political contexts.

Abstract

Globalization presents challenges and opportunities for Islamic education. This article aims to examine Malaysia's Islamic education policies in addressing the challenges and opportunities of globalization and analyze them based on experts' perspectives. A literature study with a qualitative approach is used to analyze policy documents and the views of Islamic education experts and researchers. The results show that among Malaysia's education policies to strengthen Islamic education are curriculum reform, integration of science and Islam in the curriculum, emphasis on character education, development of teacher professionalism, integration of information and communication technology in education, improvement of the quality of leadership and school management, development of Islamic higher education. The policies are intended to create a balance between maintaining the identity and practice of Islam and the development of the country according to the demands of globalization. With these strategic steps, the younger generation is expected to compete at the national and international levels with a strong national character without losing fundamental values. The Islamic education policy in Malaysia shows an adaptive effort to the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar modul Bahasa Inggris Terintegrasi Islam yang berkualitas serta layak untuk digunakan pada Madrasah tingkat Aliyah maupun SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, 2) membuat perencanaan (desain) produk, 3) mengembangkan produk, 4) melakukan uji coba awal, revisi produk dari hasil uji coba awal dan uji coba lapangan utama, dan 5) melalukan evaluasi dan revisi. Sample penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, validasi, angket, dokumentasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Produk yang dikembangkan sudah melewati beberapa kali uji coba baik skala terbatas maupun skala luas. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan di MAN 1 Pekanbaru pada kelas X TA. 2023/2024 dengan subjek berjumlah 20 Siswa. Uji coba pada skala luas dilakukan di tiga madrasah yaitu MAN 1 Pekanbaru, MAN 2 Pekanbaru, dan MAN 3 Pekanbaru dengan jumlah subjek 60 Siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid berdasarkan kriteria kevalidan dari validator yaitu ahli materi, ahli integrasi Islam, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media. Respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sangat baik. Modul yang dihasilkan memenuhi kategori sangat efektif baik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik dan sangat praktis dilihat dari keterlaksanaannya dalam pembelajaran, penilaian guru, dan siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk modul Bahasa Inggris Terintegrasi Islam untuk kelas X Madrasah Aliyah ini memiliki kualitas yang sangat baik ditinjau dari aspek validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas sehingga layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a growth mindset in Islamic education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah 1 and 2 Pekanbaru and its impact on character development among students. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this research. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the growth mindset is applied in teaching through the reinforcement of Islamic values that support the mental and emotional development of students. Positive impacts found include increased self-confidence, patience, perseverance, and reliance on Allah in facing academic and non-academic challenges. Additionally, there is an improvement in critical and creative thinking skills, which play a role in character development. Overall, the implementation of the growth mindset has proven to contribute significantly to the character development of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah 1 and 2 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study examines the academic integrity of Islamic education students in their utilization of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) techniques. Data were gathered from 385 students utilizing a survey study methodology at three Islamic higher education institutions in Riau Province, Indonesia: Islamic University of Riau, Al-Kifayah Riau Islamic College, and Diniyyah Riau Islamic Institute. These institutions serve as pivotal centers for the amalgamation of Islamic beliefs with modern academic procedures. Data were collected utilizing a standardized questionnaire derived from the Jisc Digital Capability Framework, concentrating on students' ethical awareness, plagiarism, citation practices, and responsible AI utilization. An incidental sampling method was utilized, and the survey was conducted using Google Forms. The results indicate a diverse comprehension of the facets of academic honesty. Students exhibited elevated levels of comprehension of academic ethics (40% high) and Islamic values (50% medium). Nevertheless, diminished levels were noted in domains such as plagiarism (45% deficient), adherence to regulations (40% deficient), and prudent AI utilization (35% deficient), signifying deficiencies in ethical digital literacy. These findings underscore the necessity for educational approaches that amalgamate AI knowledge with Islamic ethical principles.
