Sosial Budaya (Online ISSN 2407-1684 | Print ISSN 1979-2603), merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau sejak tahun 2007. Jurnal Sosial Budaya ini merupakan media yang memuat kajian-kajian ilmiah dalam bentuk hasil riset dalam bidang ilmu sosial/humaniora, seperti pernaskahan, pranata-sosial dan sejarah untuk membangun dan membangkitkan kembali kejayaan Tamaddun Melayu dalam kawasan regional Asia Tenggara. Jurnal Sosial Budaya diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan Juli dan Desember yang berusaha menempatkan hasil penelitian para peneliti, akademisi, pemerhati dalam keilmuan terkait. Jurnal Sosial Budaya juga memberi perhatian bagi publikasi hasil penelitian interdisipliner berbagai pihak yang memiliki perhatian serius untuk merancang, dan merajut tatanan dunia baru Tamadun Melayu.

Abstract

Diskursus tentang gagasan demokrasi dalam bingkai kearifan lokal menjadi kajian yang debatable. Sebab kedua gagasan ini mewakili ruang kajian yang sangat distingsif, di mana konsep demokrasi yang berasal dari pemikiran Yunani Kuno, kemudian dilanjutkan dalam tradisi keilmuan Barat pada abad pertengahan. Sebaliknya, seloko adat Jambi mewakili tradisi Nusantara lebih tepatnya kebudayaan Islam Melayu yang sangat menjunjung tinggi moral etik masyarakat. Penelitian ini mencoba melihat sisi lain dari seloko adat Melayu Jambi yang secara awam sering dipahami sebatas “tradisi lisan” semata. Padahal lebih jauh, seloko adat merupakan falsafah hidup masyarakat Melayu Jambi yang dimanifestasikan dalam tingkah kehidupan sehari-hari sekaligus sebagai alat kontrol sosial-politik di masyarakat, yang secara tidak langsung turut memperkuat demokrasi di tingkat lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan berbagai pendekatan keilmuan. Persoalannya ialah apakah seloko adat Melayu Jambi kompatibel dengan konsep demokrasi. Kemudian jika kompatibel, bagaimana kontribusi seloko adat Jambi dalam penguatan demokrasi lokal di Jambi. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa antara Islam, seloko adat dan demokrasi memiliki nilai universal yang saling memperkuat satu sama lain. Secara nyata seloko adat memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam rangka penguatan prinsip-prinsip demokrasi lokal di antaranya: prinsip pengambilan keputusan dalam pemerintahan; prinsip keadilan; prinsip persamaan; kebijaksanaan pemimpin; prinsip musyawarah mufakat; dan manajemen dan tata kelola pemerintahan.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the study of messages preaching communication that exist in cultural communication in Minangkabau society. About how the tradition of communication culture that exist in Minangkabau society is known as petatih-petitih, carrying messages of communication containing messages of da'wah in accordance with the teachings of Islam. The approach in this study uses a literature review approach, by studying, collecting and analyzing data sourced from several relevant, supportive literature, books and resources. The results show that the messages of communication that exist in Minangkabau society actually have relevance with messages of da'wah communication which contains messages of Islamic teachings that are sourced and refer to Al-qur'an and Hadith. In addition, petitih-petitih also has a very important role as a cultural communication that became a reference and became the handle of the life of Minangkabau society. Petitih is a form of oral communication in the form of a cultural proverb containing the counsels of parents passed down from generation to generation. So through the petitih-petitih loaded with Islamic values is created Minangkabau society is famous for the community that is identical to his religious values with the famous cultural culinary "customary basara syara 'syara basandi kitabullah".

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi unsur-unsur etnomatematika pada masyarakat melayu Riau. Hal ini penting, mengingat Propinsi Riau sedang mempersiapkan diri menjadi sebagai pusat kebudayaan Melayu. Oleh karena itu upaya penggalian, pengembangan dan pengenalan etnomatematika melayu Riau sangat diperlukan. Eksplorasi etnomatematika pada masyarakat melayu Riau menggunakan metode peneltian kulitatif-etnografis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan banyaknya aktivitas etnomatematika dalam masyarakat melayu Riau. Pada artikel ini, disajikan berbagai aktivitas etnomatematika pada seni sastra, seni busana melayu, seni ukir dan aplikasi etnomatematika pada permainan masyarakat melayu Riau.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of consumer behavior consisting of cultural, social, individual, and psychological factors which have simultaneous and partial influence on the decision to visit the Shariah tourism destination in West Sumatra. The number of sample is 100 respondents. The research variables consist of independent variables are culture (X1), social (X2), individual (X3), psychological (X4) as well as the dependent variable (Y) is the decision to visit the destination of sharia tourism. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis. The result of research indicate that culture has significant influence to the decision to visit shariah tourism destination, social has significant effect to the decision to visit the shariah tourism destination, the individual has a significant effect on the decision to visit the sharia tourism destination, the psychology has significant effect to the decision to visit the sharia tourist destination. Based on F test, it is found that cultural, social, individual and psychological variables influence together to the decision to visit the Shariah tourism destination in West Sumatera.

Abstract

The spread of drugs in Indonesia today drastically increase, both in the big cities and in remote areas. The victims are not only the adults, but also children. Curriculum for rehabilitating drug abuse victims at Pondok Inabah VII developed on the basis of tasawwuf (mysticism) approach. Stage of curriculum implementation are as follows: (1) Takhalli, self-purify from sin that pollutes the soul, both physically and spiritually; (2) Tahalli, self-adorns with good behaviors, both physically and spiritually;  (3) Tajalli, results from both of takhalli and tahalli. Tajalli is ultimate purpose of rehabilitation. Furthermore, those three concepts are applied in three core activities; Mandi Taubat (a person who washes their body to cleans theirselves from sin), Shalat and dzhikr.  In addition, the role of guide also decisive during the process of healing.  Inabah Method is unique; as it does not use any chemical drugs or herbs. Alternatively, religion therapy is used in order to recover drug victim, both in terms of physical, mental, social and spirituall. For further researcher, it is suggested to investigate this issue more specific and comprehensive.

Abstract

 This study used a qualitative research method that is research that aims to build a preposition and explain the meaning behind the social reality that happened. This research is digging deeper into the application of Islamic banking risk management at the Bank of SOEs and non-SOEs Bank. The focus of the studies in this research are: Practice implementation and governance of risk management, risk management practices carried out by Islamic banking has been able to reduce the risk of loss, and compliance with Islamic law (principle / principle of Islamic transactions).The results showed that banks in Indonesia have entered into the era of integrated risk management (integrated management) and risk-based supervision (risk based supervision). All products are issued by Bank Sharia SOEs and non-SOEs supervised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in accordance with the functions and authority of each institution. The application of risk mitigation is happening in Islamic banking there is a risk that originated from internal employees or company caused by itself and external customers. The most highest risk of murabahah financing. The principle in Islamic transactions to the principles of fraternity, justice, welfare, balance and universality has been applied. Risk mitigation financing is done on fiduciary risk as the risk that is legally responsible for breach of contract investments of incompatibility with the provisions of sharia or mismanagement (mismanagement) to the investor funds.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of parents in Riau in fostering children's character to realize the civil society towards the vision of Riau in 2020; and the factors that support and hinder the development of the character of the pious child. By taking locations in three districts in the province of Riau, namely Kampar, Bengkalis, and Pekanbaru, in the end the authors conclude that the role of parents in Riau in fostering children's character pious categorized as good; ie 81, 89%. The factors supporting general lack of awareness of parents, father and mother together about the importance of children's education pious. In addition, the availability of media such as television, radio, mobile phones, the Internet as a learning resource also support the successful development of a pious character of the child. While constraints are (1) low levels of parental education; (2) lack of religious understanding about educating children; (3) the low level of the economy; (4) lack of care and supervision of a parent due to busyness of parents with their duties, especially for mothers-career; and (5) the effect of the environment, peers, and electronic media.

Abstract

This article reviewing the history of islamic civilization has experienced a resurrection in the classical century, especially in the three daulah, namely Daulay Abbasiyah in Baghdad, Daulay Umayyah in Cordova and Daulay Fatimiyah in Mesir. Islamic civilization and science at the time it had been developed and the resurrection very rapidly once. The three daulah vied to advance the Islamic civilization, science and literateur in their respective areas. What efforts which is conducted Daulah Abbasiyah make Baghdad as an intellectual city which is visited by scientists, litterateur to stand Nizamiyah University. Alsowhat is done Daulah Umayyah Spanyol for the resurrection ofIslamic civilization so that in each city there is University, among others, University ofCordova, University ofGranada, University ofSvilla and etc. Similarly what is taken daulah Fatimiyah in Mesir to the rise Islamic civilization to the founding of the University of al-Azhar, all of which are discussed in this article. Abstract

Pacu Jalur tradition is an event that became the pride of the community of Kuantan Singingi. Each year the event was held and the people welcomed enthusiastically. It is marked on the height of the public who attend or watch the course of the race. In addition, winning this race is an honor for the people who have these lines. Spur track involves not only the physical elements, but also things that smells of magic. Shamans become one of the important elements to win the race. Therefore, it is necessary to do in-depth study of the magical element contained in track racing tradition. The study used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Information related to this study was obtained from key informants, namely: shaman path, artisan lane, children runway, track officials, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and community leaders. The results found that magical element present in almost every process in the tradition of spur lines. The persistence of magical elements in this activity because people believe that the power of influence in winning the race

Abstract

The objective of this research was get an idea of a comprehensive and holistic understanding on the implementation and functions ofbaghandu song of the community of Siak Hulu   Kampar regency in the implementation of IPS in elementary education. This research used Qualitative method. Data was collected by observation, interview and documentation. It used snowball sampling. The subjects were the elders of suku Pandan, the humanists who work at Melayu traditional organization at Siak hulu Kampar regency, Rebana groups and teachers who teach at elementary school of Desa Kubang Jaya of Siak hulu Kampar regency. The research finding showed that (1) implementation of community singing baghandu Siak Hulu Kampar regency was originally done by mothers who euthanize the children, singing bagandu also be held on the aqiqah (2) the function of Baghandu songs are: (a) for the moral formation (b) for educational transformation (c) for identity formation (d) as a bastion of the influx of foreign cultures (3) the application of Baghandu songs: (a) the means for national identity formation (b) increasing the quality of history and social sciences or learning resources, (c) as a means of preservation of local cultural heritage, especially the local Malay culture Kampar.
