Sosial Budaya (Online ISSN 2407-1684 | Print ISSN 1979-2603), merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau sejak tahun 2007. Jurnal Sosial Budaya ini merupakan media yang memuat kajian-kajian ilmiah dalam bentuk hasil riset dalam bidang ilmu sosial/humaniora, seperti pernaskahan, pranata-sosial dan sejarah untuk membangun dan membangkitkan kembali kejayaan Tamaddun Melayu dalam kawasan regional Asia Tenggara. Jurnal Sosial Budaya diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan Juli dan Desember yang berusaha menempatkan hasil penelitian para peneliti, akademisi, pemerhati dalam keilmuan terkait. Jurnal Sosial Budaya juga memberi perhatian bagi publikasi hasil penelitian interdisipliner berbagai pihak yang memiliki perhatian serius untuk merancang, dan merajut tatanan dunia baru Tamadun Melayu.

Abstract

Perubahan paradigma pemerintahan dari sentralisasi ke desentralisasi membuka peluang bagi masyarakat untuk meningkatkan peran serta dalam pengelolaan pendidikan. Salah satu upaya untuk mewujudkan peluang berpartisipasi bagi masyarakat tersebut adalah melalui wadah yang disebut Komite Sekolah. Kajian peningkatan kualitas atau mutu pendidikan ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang lebih banyak memfokuskan penelitian ilmiahnya ke arah: (1) Mengadakan berbagai evaluasi dan identifikasi baik dari segi evaluasi dan identifikasi potensi, hambatan maupun evaluasi dan identifikasi kebutuhan partisipasi masyarakat (orangtua siswa) dalam kegiatan pendidikan; (2) Melakukan evaluasi terhadap penyusunan program kerja Komite Sekolah untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat (orangtua siswa) dalam kegiatan pendidikan dengan melibatkan partisipasi semua pihak yang terkait (stakeholders). Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa program kerja Komite Sekolah yang paling awal dan paling mendasar adalah harus melakukan berbagai evaluasi dan  identifikasi hambatan yang melibatkan partisipasi semua pihak yang terkait. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dan identifikasi terhadap berbagai hambatan berpartisipasi masyarakat dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri I Sungai Pakning itu, barulah disusun beberapa program kerja Komite Sekolah untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri I Sungai Pakning.  Adapun program kerja Komite Sekolah yang utama dan yang diprioritaskan  untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat (orangtua siswa) dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri I Sungai Pakning yang telah tersusun  adalah : (1) Pelatihan tentang Komite Sekolah agar masyarakat (orangtua siswa) mengetahui hak dan kewajibannya dalam berpartisipasi di Komite Sekolah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri I Sungai Pakning; (2) Penerapan subsidi silang yaitu masyarakat (orangtua siswa) yang mampu secara ekonomi memberikan subsidi kepada siswa yang kurang mampu secara financial; (3) Pelibatan orangtua siswa sebagai panitia dalam kegiatan di sekolah dan pertemuan rutin antara orangtua siswa, Komite Sekolah dan para guru.

Abstract

Sebuah masyarakat plural dengan berbagai agama di dalamnya merupakan sebuah keadaan rawan akan konflik dan perpecahan, dikarenakan isu agama adalah isu yang mudah sekali menyulut konflik dan perpecahan dibandingkan dengan isu-isu yang lain. Penelitian ini akan menggambarkan tentang kehidupan sebuah masyarakat plural di desa Klepu kabupaten Ponorogo, masyarakat desa Klepu terdiri dari pemeluk Katholik dan Islam akan tetapi dapat hidup berdampingan dalam suasana kerukunan dan penuh toleransi dengan tetap menjaga dan merawat budaya lokal mereka. Penelitian ini adalah penelitan kualitatif dengan mengambil fokus penelitian tentang bentuk budaya lokal atau kearifan lokal yang terdapat di desa Klepu yang dapat mendukung terciptanya kerukunan antarumat beragama, serta akan menggali factor yang mendukung budaya lokal tersebut tetap terjaga. Dari hasil penelitian dapat ditemukan bahwa bentuk budaya lokal di desa Klepu adalah “Gawean”, “Sambatan”, “Ngelayat”, “Nggaduh”, “Baon”  dan budaya “Gendurenan”. Tradisi-tradisi ini bisa tercipta dikarenakan adanya kesamaan suku masyarakt Klepu yaitu suku Jawa dimana budaya-budaya local tersebut diserap dari budaya Jawa, selain itu tradisi-tradisi local tersebut relative bisa diterima oleh kedua agama yakni Islam dan Katholik di desa Klepu.

Abstract

Forest fires are one of the most frequent environmental problems in Riau province, which often comes in large scale; thus, they cause forest degradation that damages economic, ecological and social aspects. The forest fires in Riau primarily caused by weak regulations and their enforcement and the lack of an optimum system or institutional mechanisms to address this issue. One alternative solution that is often forgotten is the role of education in forest fires prevention, particularly in the education of local wisdom. The education is required to minimize the risk of forest and land fires; hence it could be used a reference for the Riau government. This study aimed to identify and analyze local wisdom in the community to prevent forest and land fires, including the challenges, potentials, and solutions.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah sosial yang ada di tengah masyarakat adalah masalah kemiskinan. Adapun kemiskinan tidak akan bisa di berantas kalau hanya sebatas di jadikan bahan diskusi. Untuk itu perlu langkah konkrit untuk mengatasi kemiskinan tersebut. Karya tulisan ini hasil penelitian penulis  di mana berusaha mengemukakan fakta sesuai fenomena yang ada dilapangan melalui hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan pemulung dan sumber terkait. Dalam tulisan ini penulis berupaya mengungkap fenomena pemulung di TPA Muara Fajar dan mengadakan analisis selanjutnya ditawarkan solusi. Tinjauan teori dikemukakan tentang seluk beluk pemulung dan konsep kemiskinan. Sangat banyak tinjauan definisi pemulung namun dapat disimpulkan pemulung adalah seorang atau sekelompok manusia yang penghidupannya diperoleh dari mencari atau mengumpulkan barang-barang bekas yang telah terbuang di tempat pembuangan sampah sebagai barang bekas. Sedangkan kemiskinan disimpulkan adalah kurangnya pendapatan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup yang pokok. Setelah data didapatkan dan dilakukan analisis maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kondisi social ekonomi komunitas pemulung di TPA Muara Fajar Rumbai Pekanbaru adalah berada pada level memprihatinkan, hal ini berdasarkan tinjauan terhadap beberapa faktor  berikut Faktor Pendidikan rata-rata pemulung hanya menamatkan Sekolah Dasar (SD). Faktor Pekerjaan bahwa pemulung tidak mempunyai pilihan lain karena keterbatasan akses kepada pekerjaan pada sektor formal. Faktor Penghasilan bahwa rata-rata hasil yang didapat dari pekerjaan sebagai pemulung hanya mencukupi kebutuhan pangan sehari-hari dan sangat kesulitan ketika ingin memenuhi kebutuhan sandang dan papan. Faktor Perumahan kebanyakan pemulung yang ada di TPA Muara Fajar belum memiliki rumah sendiri dan hidup dalam rumah kontrakan  yang sempit dengan jumlah keluarga tergolong besar dengan jumlah anak 3 sampai 6 orang. Faktor Pelayanan kesehatan bahwa pemulung cenderung ketika sakit tidak tidak buru-buru berobat ke Rumah Sakit atau ke Puskesmas dengan alasan keterbatasan biaya dan apabila berobat memakai kartu berobat gratis pemulung tidak mendapatkan pelayanan yang semestinya. Adapun solusi yang ditawarkan adalah memberikan pelatihan life skill dengan harapan memperoleh penghidupan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out the level of Social Capital Continuum and the what factors affecting the level of Social Capital Continuum employees and lecturers in the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training UIN Suska Riau. The subjects were employees and lecturers in the Education and Teacher Training UIN Suska Riau and the object is a levels of Social Capital Continuum of employees and lecturers in the Faculty Education and Teacher Training UIN Suska Riau. The population is all the structural employees (administration) consist of 44 people and functional (lecturer) of 158 Faculty of MT and Teaching UIN Suska Riau with the sampling method consists of two ways, namely variable structural employees using total sampling method and sampling methods for functional variables (lecturer) using purposive sampling method. While research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research shows that the level of social capital continuum structurally and cognitive categories of employees and lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training UIN Suska Riau in achieving the vision, mission and goals of the organization are in the category of Social Capital Maximum with the percentage of 79.90%, due to ranging between 76% - 100%.

Abstract

This research discusses about what and how the educational system during the reign of the Sultan Syarif Kasim II in Siak. The finding of this research shows that after Hindia-Belanda regime opened the lower school such as Hollandsch Inlandsch School, Inlandsch School and Sekolah Desa, then the Sultanate also established some Islamic-based school such as Madrasah Taufikiyah, male school. In fact, his wife also opened some islamic-based school for girls that focused on girl specific skills and Madrasah Anisa. The opening of these schools was a sign showed by the Kingdom that they were not going along with colonialism and also it was percieved as a way to increase the popularity and influence of Siak Kingdom that had gradually decreased. At the end this action was being taken for the sustainability of the Malay Kingdom as the dissemination of Islam and education.

Abstract

Globally, the Qur'an has been much talk about science and technology, then to find out for sure we must have a faulty knowledge through comprehension and understanding of the universe and the nature and phenomenon. Science and technology is a field of activity that is continuously developed because it has a benefit as the life support manusia.Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala give sense to humans in order to make sense of this man has worked diligently to think seriously and deeply about all things and all events in the universe (universe) is both the method of induction and deduction that is achieved very nature the higher nature for then increased again so that people with minds that can recognize the highest truth that Allah Lord of the 'Alamin. Diciptaan universe Subhaanahu Allah Wa Ta'ala is a complete maha laboratory filled sign all Subhaanahu Mahaan Allah Wa Ta'ala for designing, creating, maintaining and later retrieve it. Detailed laboratory maha this will not work and will not be dynamic for human life if people do not want to contemplate and think to process them. Humans as diggers and seekers of knowledge is not enough just to read it without thinking. In the Qur'an, people are encouraged to use their minds and a lot of thinking

Abstract

This was an action research class. Based on observations in SDN 125 Pekanbaru, met some phenomena about the problem of low student creative thinking, such as: 1) during the learning process, only a few students who take active part, as seen from the lack of students asking questions or opinions on the teacher. 2) students seem difficult to understand the material presented by teachers in the classroom, it is seen that more than 65% of students can not answer questions put by the teacher. 3) when answering questions from teachers, other students respond with answers similar to students who have been answered before, and 4) in answering questions from teachers, students just transfixed by what they read without any attempt to develop a sentence, or use own words without changing the meaning of the answer. to overcome the lack of creativity these students think the author talking stick method to enhance student creativity thinking. Formulation of the problem for this study are: how to applied talking stick to increase the creativity to think of students in Islamic religious education in elementary school fifth grade students SDN 125 Pekanbaru?This research was conducted in two cycles, the data described is prior to action, in the first cycle and second cycle, each cycle is done in two meetings. In order to study this class action work well without the barriers that interfere with the smoothness of the study, researchers set stages in the research stage through which the class action, namely: 1) planning / preparation for action, 2) implementation of the action, 3) observation and reflection. Based on the results of observation before the measure of creativity to think of students obtained 44% with the low category. Then based on the observation in the first cycle indicates that the level of creativity to think of students reached by 64,8% with the high category. While on the second cycle there was an increase to reach the creativity to think of students obtained 84,0% with very high category.

Abstract

This study is intended to find problems of communication in missionary activities in taklim. Da'wah is an activity that can not be separated from communication activities. Even the missionary activities in the broadest sense is the communication itself. From the perspective of science "propaganda" and "communication" departing from efistemologi respectively, but the implementation side there is a meeting point, where propaganda can utilize communication theories to complement the theoretical need for development in the science of propaganda. At this level of study the problems of propaganda in taklim can be done from the perspective komunikasi. Penemuan theories about the problematics of communication in general be part of the problem of propaganda invention, communication problems in taklim, is also a problem of propaganda.

Abstract

One of the privileges granted by the Almighty God to man is the ability to communicate. This capability greatly assist people in meeting their needs effectively, and make it easier to communicate with each other. In addition, good communication skills and the right can be a way to deliver a person to success and will bring benefit to others. Conversely, the communication can also be a trigger kemudaratan, especially if someone is wrong in communicating or disturb people.The concept of communication is not only concerned with the problem of how to speak good but also the ethics of speech. Since entering the reform era, the people of Indonesia are in a independent atmosphere, free to talk about anything, to anyone, in any way. The Quran calls the communication as one of human nature. To find out how humans seharusya communicate. The Qur'an gives the keyword (keyconcept) yag associated with it. Al-Syaukani, for example, define the keyword al-bayan as the ability to communicate. In addition, the keywords used for communication Qur'an is al-qaul.This paper rests on the idea that every Muslim should be guided by the Qur'an in exploring life on earth. Communicating is an activity that can not be separated from human life. So that everyone is able to communicate properly and bring the benefit then he should be guided by the ethics of communication as outlined in the Qur an.The command said in the Qur'an and Hadith become an indication obligatory for Muslims to apply the nature of honesty and true are the words of the Qur'an concept known as qaulan sadidan.
