Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan kepala TK dalam: (1) mengarahkan guru dan staf, (2) membuat keputusan penting (3) memberikan pendelegasian tugas dan, (4) membangun hubungan kerja sama secara internal dan eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus pada tiga sekolah TK Kanisius Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, orang tua siswa (komite sekolah). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif Milles Huberman untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis empat aspek kepemimpinan yang dijalankan pada ketiga sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menemukan pelaksanaan kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisius: (1) pengarahan dilakukan secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui rapat, diskusi dan morning briefing mengenai tugas pokok, tugas khusus dan tugas penunjang, (2) proses pengambilan keputusan melalui musyawarah dengan koordinasi pihak yayasan (3) pendelegasian tugas pokok, tugas khusus dan tugas penunjang yang didasarkan pada kemampuan bawahan, durasi waktu, jenis tugas dan target pencapaian, (4) kerja sama internal dan eksternal dibangun melalui team dan mitra bersama komite sekolah yang digerakan atau disponsori oleh team orang tua. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut maka perilaku kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisus Demangan Baru berorientasi pada perilaku supportif, perilaku kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisius Kotabaru berorientasi pada perilaku direktif dan perilaku kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisius Wirobrajan berorientasi pada perilaku partisipatif. Dari temuan perilaku kepemimpinan tersebut maka model kepemimpian yang diperankan ketiga kepala TK Kanisus cenderung menunjukan model kepemimpinan instruksional.Kata kunci: kepemimpinan kepala TK, perilaku kepemimpinan dan model kepemimpinan PRINCIPALS’ LEADERSHIP IN CANISIUS KINDERGARTENS YOGYAKARTAAbstractThis research aims to describe the ability of the head of kindergarten in: (1) directing teachers and staff, (2) making important decisions (3) provide the delegation of tasks and, (4) establish working relationships both internally and externally. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies on three kindergarten Canisius Yogyakarta. The research subject is the principal, teachers, parents students (school committee). Data collection technique used observation and interview techniques. Analysis of the data used is an interactive model Milles Huberman to describe and analyze four aspects of leadership that run on all three schools. This study found the implementation of leadership in TK Canisius: (1) directly or indirectly through meetings, discussions, and briefings on main tasks, special tasks and supporting duties, (2) decision making process in compliace the board of foundation (3) task delegation that suits on the capacity of each subordinates, project timeline and target,(4) internal and external cooperation built through fundamental activities, special activities and support activities as well as maintaining relationships both personally and socially. Based on these findings, the behavior of the leadership of the head of Kanisus Demangan Baru kindergarten oriented supportive behavior, the behavior of the leadership of the head of Canisius Kotabaru kindergarten oriented directive behavior and leadership behavior Canisius head Wirobrajan kindergarten oriented participative behavior. From the findings of the leadership behavior of the model of leadership, played three head of Canisus kindergartens more trend on instructional leadership model.Keywords: kindergarten leadership, leadership behaviors and leadership models

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan: (1) penerapan, (2) hambatan dan, (3) hasil penyelesaian hambatan dalam perbaikan berkelanjutan di SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul dan SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul. Penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) penerapan perbaikan berkelanjutan Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001: 2008 di SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul secara umum sudah konsisten dilaksanakan. Sementara di SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul tidak dilaksanakan secara maksimal; (2) tidak terdapat faktor-faktor yang menghambat perbaikan berkelanjutan Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001: 2008 di SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu. Sementara di SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul adalah siswa dan guru; (3) penyelesaian hambatan yang terjadi dalam penerapan perbaikan berkelanjutan manajemen mutu berbasis ISO di SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul adalah dalam bentuk koordinasi Ketua Program Studi Teknik Gambar Bangunan dengan guru, guru BP, wali kelas dan orang tua siswa, dan rapat pleno. Sedangkan di SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul dilakukan berjenjang mulai dari guru, wali kelas, guru BK, Ketua Kompetensi Keahlian, Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kesiswaan dan terakhir Kepala Sekolah.Kata kunci: manajemen mutu berbasis ISO 9001: 2008 QUALITY MANAGEMENT BASED ON ISO 9001: 2008 AT SMK BANTULAbstractThis research aims to reveal: (1) the application, (2) obstacles and, (3) the solution of obstacles in the sustainable improvement at SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul and SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul. This research was a case study applying the qualitative approach. The research results are as follows. (1) The application of sustainable improvement of ISO-based quality management at SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul is generally consistently conducted. Meanwhile, at SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul is not conducted maximally. (2) There is no inhibiting factor in the sustainable improvement of ISO-based quality management at SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul. Meanwhile at SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul students and teachers. (3) The solution to obstacles in the application of sustainable improvement of ISO-based quality management at SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul is through coordination of Building Figure Engineering Study Program Head with teachers, guidance counseling teacher, homeroom teacher, and students’ parents. Unsolved problems are brought to pleno meetings. While at SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul is conducted in stages ranging from teachers, homeroom teacher, guidance counseling teacher, Head of Skill Competence, Deputy Headmaster for Students Affair and finally Headmaster.Keywords: quality management based on ISO 9001: 2008

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi manajemen program pembelajaran BIPA di lembaga BIPA Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan kombinasi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah discrepancy evaluation model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen program pembelajaran BIPA (1) aspek perencanaan program mencapai 93%, kesenjangan 7% dengan kriteria “sangat efektif”; (2) aspek pengorganisasian program mencapai 99%, kesenjangan 1% dengan kriteria “sangat efektif”; (3) aspek pelaksanaan program mencapai 93%, kesenjangan 7% dengan kriteria “sangat efektif”; (4) aspek pengawasan program mencapai 86%, kesenjangan 14% dengan kriteria “sangat efektif”. Secara keseluruhan keefektifan manajemen program pembelajaran BIPA memiliki kriteria “sangat efektif”, dengan capaian 93% kesenjangan 7%.Kata kunci: evaluasi; keefektifan; manajemen program pembelajaran BIPA THE EFFECTIVENESS OF BIPA (INDONESIAN LANGUAGE FOR FOREIGNER) PROGRAM MANAGEMENT IN YOGYAKARTAAbstractThis study is aimed to evaluate the management of BIPA learning program of BIPA course in Yogyakarta. This research is an evaluation research with the combination of qualitative and quantitative approach. Evaluation model used in this research is discrepancy evaluation model. The result of the study shows that the implementation of the management of BIPA learning program (1) the planning program is 93% performance, 7% discrepancy with criteria “very effective”; (2) the organizing aspect is 99% performance and 1% discrepancy with criteria “very effective”; (3) the implementing aspect is 93% performance and 7% discrepancy with criteria “very effective”; (4) the monitoring aspect is 86% performance 14% discrepancy with criteria “very effective”. After all the effectiveness of the management of BIPA learning program have “very effective” criteria, with 93% performance and 7% discrepancy.Keywords: evaluation, the effectiveness, BIPA program management

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil, implementasi, dan evaluasi sistem manajemen mutu pada SMK di Propinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif kuantitatif (mixed method). Data dikumpulkan melalui interview, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan EFAS, IFAS, dan SPACE Matriks. Adapun Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas 3 (tiga belas) SMK yang tersebar di wilayah Propinsi Aceh yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil sistem manajemen mutu SMK di Propinsi Aceh dinyatakan melalui pernyataan visi, misi, tujuan, kebijakan, kerja sama dengan dunia usaha dan industri, dan unit produksi sekolah.Sekolah merujuk pada standar mutu ISO 9001 2008 dan Akreditas Nasional. Implementasi manajemen mutu tercermin melalui komitmen pimpinan puncak manajemen, peran tim pengembang sekolah, penyelenggaraan program, strategi, dan pelatihan, keterlibatan karyawan, perbaikan terus menerus, penerapan standar kualitas, komunikasi, serta kepuasan pelanggan. Evaluasi dilakukan secara terus menerus melalui audit internal dan eksternal sekolah, evaluasi diri sekolah dan instrumen pengawas.Kata kunci: manajemen mutu, sekolah menengah  kejuruan THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION 9001 2008 SYSTEM IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLSAbstractThis study aims to describe and analyze the profile, implementation, and evaluation of Total Quality Management (TQM) at Vocational Schools (SMK) in Aceh, Indonesia. The study was descriptive qualitative-quantitative (mixed method research). Data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentary study, and analyzed through IFAS, EFAS, and SPACE matrix. The results showed that the schools’ profiles comprising their visions, missions, school resources, policies, the cooperation with the world of work, and schools’ production units. TQM implementation was executed through top-management leadership, management commitment, the role of quality department, training and education, employee involvement, continuous improvement, supplier partnership, product/service design, quality policies, quality data and reporting, communication to improve quality, and customer satisfaction orientation and employee relations. The evaluation was conducted continuously by involving the internal and external auditors, the schools’ self-evaluation and the supervisors’ instruments. Abstract

Penelitian kolaborasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan iklim kelas yang dialami (actual climate) dengan iklim kelas yang diinginkan (preferred climate) peserta didik di kelas IV, V dan VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 10 Ganting, Kecamatan Koto Tangah Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat. Responden penelitian berjumlah 78 orang, masing-masing peserta didik di ketiga kelas tersebut merespon dua macam angket. Alat ukur iklim kelas actual form diadministrasikan terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui iklim kelas yang dialami peserta didik, kemudian diikuti dengan alat ukur iklim kelas preferred form untuk mengukur iklim kelas yang diinginkan peserta didik.  Setelah data yang terkumpul diolah dan dianalisis maka dapat diketahui bahwa beberapa skala iklim kelas yang dialami (actual climate) peserta didik kelas IV, V dan VI SD 10 Ganting tidak jauh berbeda dengan iklim kelas diinginkan (preferred climate).  Namun demikian, skala cohesiveness dan satisfaction pada preferred climate di kelas V lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang dialami peserta didik (actual climate). Untuk itu, diperlukan langkah-langkah treatment untuk meningkatkan kedua skala tersebut agar iklim kelas sesuai dengan yang diinginkan peserta didik. Kata kunci: iklim kelas, sekolah dasar, keakraban, kepuasan, demokrasi, kecepatan, kesulitan, formalitas CLASSROOM CLIMATE AT PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 10 GANTING, KOTO TANGAH, KOTA PADANGAbstractThis collaborative study aims to determine and compare the climate of the class experienced (actual climate) with the desired class climate (preferred climate) by students in class IV, V and VI at Public Elementary School Number 10, Sub-District Koto Tangah Padang, West Sumatra. Research respondents were 78 people, each student in the three classes responded to two kinds of questionnaires. The actual form of classroom climate instrument was administered first to know class climate experienced by students, then followed by preferred form of classroom climate instrument to measure climate of class desired by students. After the collected data were processed and analyzed it can be seen that some actual classroom climate of class IV, V and VI of Public Elementary School No. 10 Ganting are not much different from the preferred climate. Nevertheless, the scale of cohesiveness and satisfaction in preferred climate in class V is higher than that actual climate. Therefore, treatment steps are needed to improve both scales so that the classroom climate in accordance with the desired students.Keywords: class climate, elementary school, familiarity, satisfaction, democracy, speed, difficulty, formality

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor motivasi kerja guru, disiplin kerja guru, dan kedisiplinan siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA/MA di Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sasaran guru dan siswa SMA/MA di Kota Mataram. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket. Validitas instrumen berupa validitas logis dan validitas empiris yang dihitung dengan Pearson Product Moment. Reliabilitasnya dihitung dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) terdapat pengaruh antara motivasi kerja guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA/MA di Kota Mataram sejumlah 13,1%; (2) terdapat pengaruh antara disiplin kerja guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA/MA di Kota Mataram sejumlah 9,9%; (3) terdapat pengaruh antara kedisiplinan siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA/MA di Kota Mataram sejumlah 7,8%; (4) motivasi kerja guru, disiplin kerja guru dan kedisiplinan siswa secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa SMA/MA di Kota Mataram sejumlah 34%.Kata Kunci: prestasi belajar siswa, motivasi kerja guru, disiplin kerja guru, kedisiplinan siswa  THE INFLUENCE OF TEACHERS' WORK MOTIVATION, TEACHERS' WORK DISCIPLINE AND STUDENTS' DISCIPLINE ON STUDENTS' LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTAbstractThis research aimed to reveal the effect of teachers' work motivation factor, teachers' work discipline, and students' discipline on students' learning achievement in senior high schools in Mataram. This research was correlational research with quantitative approach by targeting teachers' and students' of senior high schools in Mataram. The instrument to collect data was in the form of questionnaire. The validity of the instrument was in the form of logical validity and the empirical validity calculated by the Pearson Product Moment. Reliability was calculated by the Alpha Cronbach formula. The data analysis technique used was simple regression and multiple  regression. The results of this study indicate that: (1) teachers' work motivation influences students' learning achievement in senior high schools in Mataram by 13.1%; (2) teachers' work discipline influences students' achievement in senior high schools in Mataram by 9.9%; (3) students' discipline influences students' achievement in senior high schools in Mataram by 7.8%; (4) the teachers' work motivation, teachers' work discipline the and students' discipline together affect students' learning achievement in senior high schools in Mataram by 34%.Keywords: students' learning achievement, teachers' work motivation, teachers' work discipline, students' discipline

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) pemberdayaan pendidik khususnya PKB SMK Negeri Seni di Kabupaten Bantul; (2) hambatan, dan (3) solusi pemberdayaan pendidik khususnya PKB SMK Negeri Seni di Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SMK Negeri Seni. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan  langsung (observasi), analisis dokumen, dan wawancara secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Kondisi profesionalisme guru di SMK Negeri Seni ditunjukan dengan kualifikasi akademik guru yang sebagian besar sudah sesuai dan memenuhi kriteria guru profesional; (2) program pemberdayaan pendidik dilakukan dengan cara terus mengembangkan guru; (3) pelaksanaan program PKB guru SMK Seni di Kabupaten Bantul meliputi kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi; (a) kegiatan PKB yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan diri dilakukan dengan cara mengikuti seminar, workshop, membuat rancangan pembelajaran seperti RPP, dan modul; (b) bebeapa guru sudah menjalankan kegiatan publikasi ilmiah; (c) kegiatan karya inovatif  lebih banyak dilaksanakan; (4) manfaat dari PKB yaitu guru dapat memenuhi standar dan mengembangkan kompetensinya; (5)  hambatan dalam pelaksanaan PKB yaitu masalah waktu, kurangnya rasa percaya diri, beban pekerjaan yang tinggi; (6) guru lebih banyak melakukan kegiatan PKB yang berkaitan dengan karya inovatif; (7) upaya untuk mengatasi hambatan dari segi waktu, guru dituntut untuk mampu memanajemen waktu dengan baik.Kata kunci: pemberdayaan pendidik, profesionalisme dan pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan, Guru EMPOWERMENT OF TEACHERS  (A CASE STUDY OF TEACHER CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT SMK N OF ART)AbstractThis research aims to describe: (1) the empowerment of teachers in vacational CPD of art in Bantul, and (2) the obsacles and (3) the efforts to overcome obsacles for the empowerment of teachers in vacational CPD of art in Bantul District. This research was a case study with the qualitative approach. The research subjects comprised vice principals and teachers of SMK N of art. The data were collected through observations, document analysis, and in-depth interviews. The results of this research are as follows. (1) The teachers professionalism condition in SMK N of art shown the academic suitability qualification of teachers and has been fullfilled by criteria of the teacher professionalism; (2) empowerment of teachers program is done by always developing teachers; (3) the CPD program of art vacational school teachers in Bantul District includes planning, implementation and evaluation activities; (a) the activities are conducted by attending seminars, workshops, drafting of learning such as lesson plans, and module; (b) some teachers have done the program of scientific publications; (c) innovative work activities were by implemented more teachers; (4) the benefits of the CPD are that teachers are able to meet the standard and develop their competencies; (5) the obstacles in the implementation of CPD are related to time, lack of confidence, high load of working; (6) teachers do more innovative work in CPD program; (7) the efforts to overcome the obstacles in terms of time is by requiring teachers to be able to manage the time well.Keywords: teacher empowerment, professionalism and continuous professional development

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh kinerja kepala sekolah terhadap keberhasilan manajemen berbasis sekolah melalui partisipasi masyarakat di SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Karimun, Kepulauan Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap populasi dengan jumlah 39 kepala SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Karimun, Kepulauan Riau. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket yang telah diuji validitasnya dengan korelasi product moment dan uji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan alpha-cronbach. Adapun analisis datanya dilakukan secara deskriptif dan analisis jalur dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil analisis data secara deskriptif ditemukan bahwa kinerja kepala sekolah, partisipasi masyarakat dan keberhasilan MBS termasuk dalam kategori sedang yakni: kinerja kepala sekolah = 46,2%, partisipasi masyarakat = 64,1% dan keberhasilan MBS = 41%. Sedangkan dari analisis jalur menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap keberhasilan MBS di SMP Negeri Kabupaten Karimun. Selanjutnya ditemukan pengaruh tidak langsung dari kinerja kepala sekolah terhadap keberhasilan MBS melalui partisipasi masyarakat = 57,3%.Kata kunci: kinerja kepala sekolah, partisispasi masyarakat, keberhasilan manajemen berbasis sekolah THE INFLUENCE OF THE PRINCIPALS’ PERFORMANCES ON THE SUCCESS OF SCHOOL-BASED MANAGEMENT THROUGH COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE AT JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLSAbstractThis study aims to find out the influence of the principals’ performances on the success of school-based management through community participation at Public Junior Secondary Schools in Karimun Regency, Kepulauan Riau. This study used a quantitative approach through a correlational research design. 39 principals from all Public Junior Secondary Schools in Karimun Regency were involved as population. The data were collected through questionnaires. The validity of the instrument was analyzed through product moment and the reliability through alpha-Cronbach. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively by using path analysis with the significance level of 0.05. The finding showed that the performances of the principals’ performances, and community participation on the success of MBS were included into sufficient category. They were seen from the principals’ performances = 46.2%, community participation = 64.1%, and the success of MBS = 41%. Meanwhile, from path analysis, there was a positive influence and significance on the success of MBS at Public Junior Secondary Schools in Karimun Regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh positif langsung spiritualitas kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 174 responden yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: adanya pengaruh positif langsung spiritualitas kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja dosen. Sebagai implikasi dari temuan penelitian ini adalah bahwa meningkatkan kepuasan kerja dan spiritualitas kerja dosen harus dipertimbangkan.Kata kunci: spiritualitas kerja, kepuasan kerja THE EFFECT OF SPIRITUALITY OF WORK ON LECTURE’S JOB SATISFACTION OF THE MANADO STATE POLYTECHNICAbstractThe objective of this research is to study the direct effect of the spirituality of work on job satisfaction of the lecture’s the Manado State Polytechnic. The research aimed at examining whether there is a direct positive influence of spirituality of work on job satisfaction. This research was conducted using quantitative methods. The samples of this research were 174 lectures selected randomly. The result of the research concluded: there is a direct positive influence of the spirituality of work toward lecturer’s job satisfaction. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat keefektifan, kendala yang dihadapi, dan solusi sekolah untuk mengatasi kendala dalam implementasi Sistem Manajemen Mutu (SMM) ISO 9001: 2008 di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi model Discrepancy Provus dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket  dan pedoman wawancara. Validitas instrumen berupa validitas logis dan empiris. Validitas empiris dihitung dengan teknik Point Biserial,  reliabilitasnya dihitung dengan teknik Kuder-Richardson (KR.20). Teknik analisis data adalah persentase. Hasil penelitian: (1) Keefektifan implementasi SMM ISO 9001: 2008 di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Sleman mencapai 85,89% dan kesenjangan 14,11% dengan kriteria “Efektif”. (2) Kendala implementasi: keterbatasan dana; pola pikir dan etos kerja yang rendah; lemahnya komitmen dan respon guru; penyimpanan dan penomoran dokumen yang belum efektif; perbedaan format dokumen. (3) Solusi sekolah: penetapan skala prioritas; meningkatkan kesiapan QMR; meningkatkan pelatihan awareness ISO; meningkatkan peran pengendalian dokumen; menyederhanakan penomoran dokumen; bekerjasama dengan tim.Kata Kunci: keefektifan, Sistem Manajemen Mutu (SMM) ISO 9001: 2008 THE EFFECTIVENESS OF IMPLEMENTATION ISO 9001:2008 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS) IN SMA NEGERI KABUPATEN SLEMANAbstractThis study aims to determine the level of effectiveness, obstacles encountered, and school solution to overcome the obstacles in the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001: 2008 in SMA Sleman. It is an evaluation research with Discrepancy Provus model with quantitative approach. The instruments of data collection were the questionnaire and interview guides. The validity of the instruments was logical and empirical. Empirical validity was measured by Point Biserial in which the reliability was measured by Kuder-Richardson. The data analysis technique was the percentage. The results: (1) The effectiveness of implementing ISO 9001: 2008 QMS in SMA Negeri Kabupaten Sleman is 85.89% and the discrepancy is 14.11 % with criteria of “Effective. (2)  The obstacles: limited funds; the lake of mindset and work ethic; weak commitment and response of the teachers; ineffective document storage and numbering; different document format. (3) Solutions: determination of priority scale; readiness of QMR; improvement of training of ISO awareness and document handling role; simplification of document numbering; cooperation with the team.Keywords: effectiveness, ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System (QMS)
