Abstract

Change means the innovation, and change can only be done by innovation inclusive of change in education or school passing education programs.  Orientfrom innovation infact is application conception the development lip at repair. Innovate to mean the completion adaptation, and process the adjusment (of) up at better. Exist a school change is reviseing and repair conducted by school like  curriculum repair, source learn, the study process, organization  structure, and school environment which condusive and safety. Equally, that innovation mean the change lip at secure and prosperous many people. Change of societ» having an effect on to innovation, lor example because of automatization, urbanization,  change in labor market, cultural conflict, and medical progress and also biologis. Others, there is also ethical change and religion values in society will have an effect on also TO innovation, its/or like; media, transportation, journey  and involvement international. As/or bases required in innovation cover: individual difference, self concept, self   responsibility, skill develpoment, relevansi. inquiri,    social responsibility, humanism, and all life acrompllshment have to be fullfilled   as adjusment  effort  with the science growth and technological. Abstract

All of schools policy will surely reap different reactions. 2013 curriculum which was allegedly reformer of KTSP is now a big question about the success of its implementation. This study aims to describe the process of implementing the curriculum 2013 transition at Junior High School of Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa, Yogyakarta. The method of this study was qualitative with the type of case study approach. The results of this study indicate that (1). Curriculum planning involves all relevant stakeholders, including: the principal, deputy head of curriculum, deputy head of students’ affairs, deputy head of facilities and infrastructure, teacher teams and school committees. (2). The implementation of the curriculum was carried out in stages. Starting with applying the 2 013 curriculum in grades 7 and 8, meanwhile grade 9 still uses the KTSP. (3). Evaluation of curriculum has two categories of assessment that come from internal and external schools.  The results describe that 2013 curriculum can be implemented gradually well. The conclusion is transition from KTSP to 2013 curriculum gradually. In the near future, the school will implement the 2013 curriculum thoroughly in every class without leaving the school’s specificity with the values of art, culture and character.

Abstract

School have seemed to proceed as though there were one standardslassroom situation suitable for all students: one textbook, one method,or one curriculum program. School should start with very differentassumption that individual students need very different type andqualities of instruction and require various types of aid, such as groupstudy, tutorial help, or variation in instructional materials that rangebeyond textbooks to acwide variety of printed and audiovisual material,academic games and so on. These are Student Centered Learning, aninstruction which suitable for individual different. Another variable isthe degree of perserverence of the learner. If he find his effort and feelsuccess in learning, his perserverence increase. Motivation is soimportant and so complex that teachers are well advised to seek out andemploy differentiated teaching techniques tailored to individual studentand designed to produce positive results.

Abstract

The fact   that  effectiveness research found  its ongtns  in the phenomenon  of  the  inefectiveness school. If school  were  really perfect, fulfilling  their missions to the great satisfaction on pupils, parents,  school board and politicians  at local and national level, nobody would ever have wanted  to  start  a process  of school  improvement with' teachers .through convicing them that improving their own performance is the right thing to do. School  effectiveness  needs a  diftnition.because the  concept  is  not altogether clear.  We cannot just  look at the output of the black box caledl 'school'; we also have to measure the input into it. Because we have to deal with    a  very complex  entity,  we  need indicators or factors  that  can  be compared and, even when we have school effectiveness factors,  it still  is difficult to know whether we are looking at causes or needs to be based on facts and figures derivedfrom a substantial number of school, which suggests the usually quantitative approach of school t;ffectiveness.   Keywords: Effectiveness, improvement

Abstract

The purpose of this quantitative survey type study was to find out the effectiveness of transformational leadership practices in primary school organization in Kota Bharu District, Kelantan, Malaysia.  Data were collected from 244 teachers randomly selected from 11 daily primary schools. The measurement tool used was the “Transformational Leadership Inventors” (TLI) which contained 22 items related to the six dimensions of transformational leadership developed by Podsakoff, McKenzie and Boomer (1996). For organizational effectiveness, the Effectiveness International School Questionnaire (EISQ) by Doran (2004) which contained 55 items with 11 dimensions was used. The IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 26.0 (IBM SPSS 26.0) was used to analyze the data. Overall, the results of the study showed that transformational leadership practices were at a very high level (mean = 4.32 and SD = 0.503). As for organizational effectiveness, the results showed that organizational effectiveness was at a high level (mean = 3.92 and SD = 0.430). Overall, this research has achieved the set goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter di SMP Negeri 1 dan MTs Al-Qasimiyah Pangkalan Kuras, Kabupaten Pelalawan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi serta dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan teknik analisis data model interaktif Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. 1) Pendidikan karakter di SMP Negeri 1 dan MTs Al-Qasimiyah  Pangkalan Kuras dilaksana-kan melalui pengintegrasiannya ke dalam mata pelajaran, pengembangan diri, budaya sekolah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Sedangkan perbedaannya, di MTs Al-Qasimiyah lebih menitikberatkan pendidikan keagamaan. 2) Faktor penghambat: a) masih ada guru yang belum melaksanakan pendidikan karakter karena kurangnya sosialisasi dan pelatihan; b) masih ada guru yang belum memberikan keteladanan sedangkan di MTs Al-Qasimiyah telah mencerminkan keteladanan yang baik.; c) masih ada orang tua siswa yang kurang peduli terhadap pendidikan anaknya di sekolah terutama siswa yang melanggar tata tertib maupun aturan-aturan sosial.Kata kunci: implementasi, pendidikan karakter

Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan mendeskripsikan: (1) upaya yang dilakukan  kepala sekolah dan guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi, (2) faktor pendukung dan penghambat peningkatan kompetensi guru serta cara mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Subyek atau sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru senior, guru menengah/madya, guru yunior, staf penelitian dan pengembangan, staf pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan  staf administrasi sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model interaktif mengacu  pada teknik analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Huberman yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah mengirim guru mengikuti pelatihan dan kegiatan ilmiah, mengadakan sosialisasi hasil pelatihan, memotivasi peningkatkan kompetensi, memberikan reward. Upaya para guru yaitu memahami tuntutan standar profesi, etos kerja dan budaya kerja. Upaya kepala sekolah mengatasi hambatan yaitu memfasilitasi pengembangan profesi, untuk mengatasi hambatan waktu pelatihan dengan mengadakan pemetaan kebutuhan guru yang dikirim, membuat jadwal pengganti bagi guru yang diikutsertakan ke pelatihan, membuat jadwal tersendiri di luar jam pembelajaran. Upaya para guru dalam mengatasi hambatan  diantaranya melanjutkan ke Strata-2, keikutsertaan pelatihan dan kegiatan ilmiah. Upaya para guru mengatasi hambatan waktu pelatihan yaitu antara guru saling menukar jadwal mengajar. Alternatif lain adalah memberikan tugas ke siswa. Kata kunci:  upaya, peningkatan kompetensi, profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan kepala TK dalam: (1) mengarahkan guru dan staf, (2) membuat keputusan penting (3) memberikan pendelegasian tugas dan, (4) membangun hubungan kerja sama secara internal dan eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus pada tiga sekolah TK Kanisius Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, orang tua siswa (komite sekolah). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif Milles Huberman untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis empat aspek kepemimpinan yang dijalankan pada ketiga sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menemukan pelaksanaan kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisius: (1) pengarahan dilakukan secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui rapat, diskusi dan morning briefing mengenai tugas pokok, tugas khusus dan tugas penunjang, (2) proses pengambilan keputusan melalui musyawarah dengan koordinasi pihak yayasan (3) pendelegasian tugas pokok, tugas khusus dan tugas penunjang yang didasarkan pada kemampuan bawahan, durasi waktu, jenis tugas dan target pencapaian, (4) kerja sama internal dan eksternal dibangun melalui team dan mitra bersama komite sekolah yang digerakan atau disponsori oleh team orang tua. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut maka perilaku kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisus Demangan Baru berorientasi pada perilaku supportif, perilaku kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisius Kotabaru berorientasi pada perilaku direktif dan perilaku kepemimpinan kepala TK Kanisius Wirobrajan berorientasi pada perilaku partisipatif. Dari temuan perilaku kepemimpinan tersebut maka model kepemimpian yang diperankan ketiga kepala TK Kanisus cenderung menunjukan model kepemimpinan instruksional.Kata kunci: kepemimpinan kepala TK, perilaku kepemimpinan dan model kepemimpinan PRINCIPALS’ LEADERSHIP IN CANISIUS KINDERGARTENS YOGYAKARTAAbstractThis research aims to describe the ability of the head of kindergarten in: (1) directing teachers and staff, (2) making important decisions (3) provide the delegation of tasks and, (4) establish working relationships both internally and externally. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies on three kindergarten Canisius Yogyakarta. The research subject is the principal, teachers, parents students (school committee). Data collection technique used observation and interview techniques. Analysis of the data used is an interactive model Milles Huberman to describe and analyze four aspects of leadership that run on all three schools. This study found the implementation of leadership in TK Canisius: (1) directly or indirectly through meetings, discussions, and briefings on main tasks, special tasks and supporting duties, (2) decision making process in compliace the board of foundation (3) task delegation that suits on the capacity of each subordinates, project timeline and target,(4) internal and external cooperation built through fundamental activities, special activities and support activities as well as maintaining relationships both personally and socially. Based on these findings, the behavior of the leadership of the head of Kanisus Demangan Baru kindergarten oriented supportive behavior, the behavior of the leadership of the head of Canisius Kotabaru kindergarten oriented directive behavior and leadership behavior Canisius head Wirobrajan kindergarten oriented participative behavior. From the findings of the leadership behavior of the model of leadership, played three head of Canisus kindergartens more trend on instructional leadership model.Keywords: kindergarten leadership, leadership behaviors and leadership models

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah  dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan budaya sekolah. di SD Muhammadiyah Ngijon 1 dan SD N Sumberagung UPT Pelayanan Pendidikan Kecamatan Moyudan Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif.  Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa SD Muhammadiyah Ngijon 1 dan SD N Sumberagung UPT Pelayanan Pendidikan Kecamatan Moyudan Kabupaten Sleman. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan dan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui perpanjangan pengamatan, meningkatan ketekunan, triangulasi, mengadakan membercheck, dan menggunakan bahan referensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis interactive model, yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai upaya telah dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan budaya sekolah. Upaya tersebut meliputi pemantapkan nilai dasar budaya sekolah, melakukan pembinaan terhadap warga sekolah, membuat acara-acara rutinitas, memberikan penilaian dan penghargaan, tanggap terhadap masalah eksternal dan internal, dan melaksanakan koordinasi  dan kontrol.
