This research is a quasi experiment that aimed to know the influence of implementation cooperative learning method type RTE towards student’s understanding of mathematical concept. The research design was posttest onlycontrol group design. The research population were all students of 8th grade class of Junior High School State five Bandar Lampung academic year 2012/2013. The sample of this research was gotten by Perposive Random Sampling technique. Based on data analysis, it was got that student’s mathematical understanding concept used cooperative learning method type RTE was higher than konventional learning. However, student’s learning completeness using cooperative learning method type RTE wasn’t achieved the target. Thus, the implementation of cooperative learning method type RTE wasn’t influenced toward student’s understanding of mathematical concept.Keyword: Influence, RTE, Mathematical Concept

This quasi-experimental research aims to know the influencce of the implementa-tion cooperative learning mode type Make A match toward student’s mathemati-cal conseptual understanding of VII class in Junior High School State I Terbanggi Besar. The Design research used posttest control group design. The population of this research were all students in 7th grade of Junior High School State I Ter-banggi Besar in the Academic Year 2012 /2013. The sample were VII B as experiment class and VII A as control class that were chossen by Purposive sampling. Base on data analysis, it was conclude that the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in class that was tought by Make A Match method was higher than in conventional class. Thus, there was influence of the implementation cooperative learning model type Make A Match toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Keywords: cooperatif Learning model type Make A Match, mathematical conceptual understanding.

This quasi-experimental research aims to know the influence of group investigation learning method towards student’s mathematics problem solving ability. The populations in this research are all students in 8th Grade of SMPN 1 Pringsewu in the academic year 2012/2013, consisting of 196 students which distributed to five classes with the average of value cognitive ability was 67,24. The sample of this research are two classes from five classes that choosed by purposive sampling technique. The design research is posttest only control grup design. The data research were gotten through test of problem solving ability. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that group investigation learning method influences towards student’s mathematics problem solving ability.Keywords: group investigation learning method, mathematics problem solving ability.

The student's concept of understanding is the ability to understand the subject matter which can be seen from the students after their extensive tests. One of approach in learning that can make students understand the concept so well is contextual learning approach. This research is a quasi experimental. The population has been taken for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung TP 2012/2013. Through purposive random sampling technique, VIIIH and VIIIF class are selected as samples. The design of this research is a pretest-posttest control design. The results of hypothesis test showed that (1) the average value of mathematical concept understanding of the students who took lesson with contextual learning approach was lower than the average value of student’s concept understanding who took lesson with the conventional approach, (2) a gain in the average value of student’s concept understanding who took lesson with contextual learning approach was lower than students who took lesson with the conventional approach, (3) the percentage of students who passed the study on the class that used contextual learning approach did not reach 65%. So, contextual learning approach was not effective in terms of students' understanding of mathematic concept. This was caused the students in the control class had readiness to learn better than the experimental class. In addition, the control class was easily conditioned to teach than the experimental class.Keywords: effectiveness, contextual approach, the understanding of the concept

The lack of student’s interest on learning activity makes the student tend to have less attention and become nonactive when the mathematic learning is going on, finally concept comprehension and students’ learning resul that are not optimal. So that, it is important to find alternative learning model to solve that problem. Alternative learning model used is to apply cooperative learning model Make A Match. This kind of model is one of cooperative learning type that the students have to find their couples by matching the answer and the question that they have brought. The purpose of this experiment research is to find out the effect of cooperatif learning model Make A Match to the students’ mathematical concept comprehension. Population of this research is all of students at the first grade of SMA N 1 Rumbia in 2012 / 2013 moreless 189 students which distributed to six classes with the average of value cognitive ability was 55,15. The sample of research is the student at X.4 class as a eksperimen class and X.5 as a controlled class that have been chosen by the technique of purpossive random sampling. Based on the result of research, it was conclude that the implementation of cooperative leraning model Make A Match an effect to the mathematical concept comprehension of students in average value.Keyword : Effect, Cooperative learning model Make A Match, Mathematical Concept Comprehension.

The objective of this quasi experimental research was to find out the implementation of learning model Number Head Together in improving students’ comprehension of mathematical concept. The research design that used was pretest-posttest control design. The population of this research was all students in the eighth grade of odd semester SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung 2012/2013 year study and the sample of this research was gotten by choosing two classes from four classes randomly, that was class VIII A and VIII B. The data of students’ comprehension of mathematical concept was analyzed by using two average similarity experiments. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type NHT could improve the students’ comprehension of mathematical concept in the eighth grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung.Key words: NHT learning Model, Comprehension of Mathematical Concept

This research was quasi experiment that aims to find influence of the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning towards students’s understanding of mathematical concept in 8th grade students SMPN 1 Sekincau academic years 2012/2013. The design of this research was posstest only control design. The po-pulation in this research was all of the students in 8th grade of SMPN 1 Sekincau academic years 2012/2013 there are not involved as prior class. The research sample consist of two class that taken by used purposive random sampling’s technics. The research data was the data of students’s understanding of mathematical concept that taken by test. Based on hypothesis analysis can be coclude that Contextual Teaching and Learning has an influence for students’s understanding of mathematical concept in 8th grade students SMPN 1 Sekincau academic years 2012/2013.Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning, Understanding of mathematical concept.

Instrumental music is tone series from a voice that composed a music tool or more without vocal. This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the influence of instrumental music in completion of mathematic’s exercise toward learning result. The population in this study areallstudents in 8th Grade of SMPN 8 Bandarlampung in the academic year 2012/2013, while the sample are students in class VIII.B and VIII.C that choosed by random. The design study is a post-test only control design. The understanding of mathematical concept of students in VIII-B SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung has not satisfied yet. That is caused by in learning activities, students are not be active to understand the, so that almost students does not have chance to find the concept by your self. Besides that, students are not able to say their opinion and there is no interaction among students. Inquiry learning model is a student-centered learning where students are guided to be able to use the concepts that have been owned by the students to discover new knowledge. This research is quasi experimental design that aimed to know the effectiveness of inquiry learning model considered on students mathematical communication skill. This research using posttest only control group design. The population of this research are all students of eight grade Junior High School State 1 Natar with The Education Year 2012/2013. The sample of this research are two classes from twelve classes that choosed by purposive random sampling technique. This research can conclusion that in a short time of mathematics learning using inquiry learning model is not effective if the successful learning considered on students mathematical communication skill.Keywords: Effectiveness, Inquiry, Mathematical Communication.
