Abstract

Yoga , in Hindu philosophy, focuses on meditation activities or tapa where ones focuses all thoughts to control the five senses and the body as a whole. The rapid progress of information and communication technology and the lack of Hindu Yoga learning media in digital form have encouraged the development of Hindu Yoga Learning Applications Android-based. This application is expected to be a practical and interesting learning media to be learnt, as well as a reference in learning the movements of Hatha Yoga and Surya Namaskara besides books. This study has succeeded in developing an Android Application of Hindu Yoga Learning consisting of 46 Yoga movements, among others, 12 (twelve) Surya Namaskara movements, 8 (eight) pranayama movements, 7 (seven) sitting position of asanas movements, 8 standing position of asanas movements and 11 (eleven) sleep position of asanas movements. This application runs on the Android operating system so that it can be accessed by everyone and at any time on a smartphone or tablet computer that supports the Android operating system. The conclusion of this study is that the Hindu Yoga Learning Applications Android-based has been successfully built and it has been tested to match with the expected result.

Abstract

This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The average student score in the first semester final summative assessments indicates that the minimal completion criteria have been met; however, a review of the list of incorrect responses shows that many of the errors are related to two-variable linear equation systems. Additionally, it is common for students to struggle with converting a mathematical model from the problem. The purpose of this study is to describe the errors made by students in solving problems related to two-variable linear systems and to analyze the factors contributing to these errors. We used data analysis of student responses in this study because it allows us to observe the students' thought processes and ensures the accuracy of the information. According to the study's findings, students' errors in answering the questions stemmed from their inability to grasp relevant concepts. One possible solution is for students who struggle with conceptual understanding to focus more on mastering the material, practice answering questions frequently to become accustomed to various question types, and ultimately enhance their comprehension of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pengunaan tools microsoft word dan integrasi reference manager (mendeley, zotero, dan publish or perish) untuk membantu mahasiswa jurusan P. MIPA dalam menyelesaiakn tugas akhir sekripsi secara efektif. Peserta pelatihan ini adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan MIPA FKIP Universitas Lampung sebanyak 28. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan meliputi presentasi, praktik langsung, diskusi, serta evaluasi berupa pre-test dan post-test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa mengenai pengunaan tools microsoft word dan integrasi reference manager. Hal ini tampak pada peningkatan skor rata-rata test. Skor rata-rata pre-test yaitu 52.5 sedangkan skor rata-rata post-test yaitu 82.5 dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0.63. Mahasiswa memberikan tanggapan positif terkait penggunaan reference manager untuk menyusun daftar pustaka dan fitur-fitur canggih Microsoft Word untuk memformat dokumen tugas akhir. Berdasarkan temuan ini, direkomendasikan pelaksanaan pelatihan serupa dengan materi yang lebih komprehensif di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This research aims to re-analyze the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) model on students' learning outcomes. The study employs a meta-analysis method using qualitative descriptive analysis, reviewing articles from previously published research. A total of 20 national articles accessible online through Google Scholar, published between 2019 and 2024, were sampled. The search for articles was conducted using the Publish or Perish application with the keywords “Realistic Mathematical Education (RME)” and “Learning Outcomes.” This meta-analysis utilized 20 relevant articles from national journals regarding Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) and its impact on students' learning outcomes from 2019 to 2024.The results of the meta-analysis indicate that this model can improve students' learning outcomes, with a minimum increase of 0.07% and a maximum increase of 0.74%, resulting in an average percentage increase of 0.466%. The effect size calculated was 0.1523, categorized as having a moderate influence. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) model is highly effective in mathematics instruction for enhancing students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

TikTok addiction among high school students in Lampung Province is very worrying. This study aims to identify and understand the spread model of TikTok addiction as well as analyze the equilibrium stability of the model. The subjects of this research are high school students in Lampung Province. The research sample consists of 90 students, with details of 63 females and 27 males, who were randomly selected from the population of high school students in Lampung Province. The first step is to build a mathematical model based on assumptions related to the  models, as well as the characteristics of addiction. From this, diagrams and mathematical models in differential equations are formed. Next, the researcher will calculate the basic reproductive value and determine the addiction-free and endemic equilibrium points based on a pre-built model. The next stage is to analyze the stability of these equilibrium points. Ultimately, the simulation will be carried out using the  model program by entering the initial values and parameters set. Based on the research results, a building model of Tiktopk addiction was obtained, namely , , , , , , with . Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the basic reproductive number () of social media addiction among students reached 1.02. This indicates that, on average, one student who is already addicted can spread his addiction to one to two other vulnerable students in the sample population studied. The number of students in each compartment initially has an upward graph, gradually decreasing over time, and is in equilibrium. Based on the study's results, it was found that the equilibrium points of the differential equation describing the mathematical model are stable.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students' interest in mathematics and its relation with learning methode and self- efficacy. The population of this research were junior high school students in Bandarlampung. This is a quantitative descriptive research, studied 691 students which were selected using the stratified random sampling technique. Data in this study consisted of data on student’s interest in mathematics (Y), learning methode (X1), and student’s self-efficacy (X2) which were obtained using questionnaires. Data analized using correlation and multiple linear regression with α = 0.05. It were concluded that: (i) 22.58% of students have interests in high category, 76.56% with moderate category, and 0.86% in low category; (ii) there is a very strong positive relationship between the variables of learning method and self-efficacy together towards the variables of interest with a value of r = 0.844; (iii) there is a strong positive relationship between learning method and interest in mathematics when no change of self-efficacy with r = 0.505; (iv) there is a strong relationship between self- efficacy and interest in mathematics when the learning method does not change with r = 0.585; and (v) the formula of the linear regression model is Y = 22,788+0,972 X1+0,932 X2.DOI: 10.22342/jpm.13.1.6750.83-100

Abstract

Pemahaman suatu konsep dapat diamati melalui model mental. Informasi penting tentang struktur pemahaman siswa yang mendasari dari mana pengetahuan diperoleh dapat diidentifikasi melalui model mental. Model mental dapat menunjukkan cara bagaimana seorang individu berpikir. Individu memahami konsep matematika dengan membangun dan menggunakan struktur mental tertentu (atau konstruksi) yang dianggap dalam Teori APOS sebagai tahapan dalam pembelajaran konsep Matematika. Melaui teori APOS konsep Matematika dapat dipelajari. Teori ini adalah kerangka kerja yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana individu secara mental membangun pemahaman mereka tentang konsep Matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses konstruksi model mental calon guru matematika dalam memahami konsep integral. Responden penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa calon Guru Matematika di Universitas Lampung yang berjumlah 23 orang. Berdasarkan hasil tes uraian awal yang diberikan, peneliti memilih 4 orang yang selanjutnya dijadikan subjek penelitian. Tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman konsep untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep berdasarkan indikator pemahaman konsep. Pada bagian indikator pemahaman konsep dalam penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan evaluasi proses konstruksinya model mental subjek berdasarkan teori konstruksi APOS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa konstruksi suatu model mental yang dimiliki calon guru matematika dalam memahami konsep integral ada yang lengkap dan ada yang tidak. Hal ini ditunjukkan berdasarkan bagaimana calon guru dalam menuliskan jawaban terkait konsep-konsep yang dapat digunakan untuk dalam menyelesaikan suatu masalah yang disajikan. Selain itu, Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan kajian pedagogik matematika, khususnya dalam memahami proses berpikir calon guru matematika melalui pendekatan model mental dan teori APOS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students’ mathematical reasoning difficulties in solving problems involving systems of linear equations in two variables. This research employed a mixed-methods design with an explanatory sequential approach. The participants were 31 eighth-grade students in Class VIII-C at SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The test, consisting of four essay-type questions, was administered to all 31 students, while interviews were conducted with two selected students. The instruments used included a written test and an interview guide. Data analysis was carried out in two stages: descriptive statistical analysis was used for the quantitative data, and the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing) was applied for the qualitative data. The results showed that the average percentage of students’ mathematical reasoning difficulties was 54.91%. The stages with the highest levels of difficulty were performing mathematical manipulations (58.33%) and drawing conclusions (76.34%). The analysis revealed that students struggled with algebraic operations and basic calculations when solving systems of linear equations in two variables. Furthermore, the interviews indicated that some students failed to provide final answers either because they had difficulty interpreting the results within the problem context or simply forgot to write them down.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di SMP masih banyak menghadapi kendala karena materi sering disajikan secara abstrak dan kurang dikaitkan dengan pengalaman nyata siswa. Untuk membantu guru mengatasi hal tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini dirancang dengan tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR). Kegiatan dilakukan di Kabupaten Maros dengan melibatkan 30 guru matematika SMP melalui pendekatan service learning yang memadukan teori dan praktik secara langsung. Selama satu bulan pelatihan, peserta mengikuti penyampaian materi, praktik merancang RPP berbasis AR, serta evaluasi perangkat pembelajaran melalui Google Classroom. Hasilnya, 26 guru (85%) mampu menghasilkan RPP yang sesuai standar dan terintegrasi AR pada materi geometri, sementara 4 guru (15%) masih mengalami kesulitan teknis, terutama dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi AR. Beberapa guru menyampaikan bahwa mereka baru pertama kali mengenal AR dan merasa sangat terbantu karena visualisasi objek tiga dimensi membuat konsep geometri lebih mudah diajarkan. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya memperluas wawasan guru tentang teknologi pembelajaran, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri mereka untuk mencoba pendekatan baru. Dengan demikian, pendampingan guru dalam merancang perangkat berbasis AR terbukti mampu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis sekaligus membuka peluang tercapainya pembelajaran mendalam yang lebih interaktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna.
