Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach on electrolyte and non electrolyte topic to increase inference skill, especially of inducing and judging inductions skill. Two classes as sample were taken by using purposive sampling from all of students in the 10thgrade at SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung for 2014/2015 academic year. This research was quasi experiment using Non Equivalent Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The results showed that the average n-Gain of students inducing and judging inductions skill in experiment and control class 0.53 and 0.44, respectively. Based on hypothesis testing showed that scientific approach on electrolyte and non electrolyte topic was effective to increase students inducing and judging inductions skill.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada materi elektrolit dan nonelektrolit dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimpulkan, khususnya keterampilan menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung tahun 2014/2015. Dua kelas sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknikpurposive sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan Non Equivalent Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-ratan-Gain keterampilan menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol berturut-turut 0,53 dan 0,44. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa pendekatan saintifik pada materi elektrolit dan nonelektrolit efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi.Kata kunci: menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi, pendekatan saintifik, elektrolit dan nonelektrolit

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe effectiveness of the learning model of problem solving in improving communication and inference skills in buffer and hydrolysis lesson. Samples in this research were students of State Senior High School 1 Tumijajar of classes XI Sciences 2 and XI Sciences 3 even semester School Year 2011-2012 that have equal academic abilities. This research used a quasi experiment method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Effectiveness of the learning model of problem solving was measured by significant differences in control class and experiment class, shown by significant gain. Based on the results of this research, average value of N-gain for communication skills in control and experiment class were 0,53 and 0,65; and average value of N-gain for inference skills in control and experiment class were 58 and 0,66. Hypothesis testing in this research used test two average different with t-test.  Hypothesis result test show that class that used learning model of problem solving had higher communication and inference skills than class with conventional learning model. This indicated that learning model of problem solving was effective to improving communication and inference skills in buffer and hydrolysis lesson.  Keywords: learning model of problem solving, communication skills and inference skills

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the skills of classifying and predict on the colloid matery by using Problem Solving models learning for high, intermediate and low groups of student. The subjects were students of class XI IPA1  SMA Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung. This research used the pre-experimental method, a one-shot case study design, and descriptive research. The results showed that the skill of classifying in high level group 10% were excellent, 70% were good, and 20% were enough. In the intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 50% were good, and 35% were enough.In the low level group, 10% were excellent, 60% were good and 30% were enough.The skill of predict in high level group 20% were excellent, 50% were good, and 30% enough. In the intermediate level group, 30% were excellent, 40% were good, and 30% were enough. In the low level group, 40% were good, 50% were enough, and 10% were less. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk men­deskripsikan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan memprediksi pada koloid menggunakan model pembel­ajaran Problem Solving pada siswa kelompok tinggi, sedang dan rendah.  Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa XI IPA1  SMA Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung.  Penelitian ini menggu­na­kan metode pre-experiment, desain one shot case study, dan analisis data deskrip­tif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mengelompokkan pada kelompok tinggi 10% sangat baik, 70% baik, dan 20% cukup. Ke­lom­pok sedang, 15% sangat baik, 50% baik dan 35% cukup. Kelompok rendah, 10% sangat baik, 60% baik, dan 30% cukup.  Keterampilan memprediksi pada kelom­pok tinggi 20% sangat baik, 50% baik, dan 30% cukup. Kelompok sedang 30% sangat baik, 40% baik, dan 30% cukup. Kelompok rendah 40%  baik, 50% cukup, dan 10% kurang.Kata kunci: kelompok kognitif, keterampilan memprediksi, keterampilan mengelompokkan, problem solving

Abstract

The research aim to develop student worksheet based science process skills on factors affecting reaction rate topic. This research use research and development (R D) method according to Sugiyono (2008).  But in this research, the steps are only done until main product revision. This research have three steps. The 1st step is needs analysis that consist of literature study and field study. The 2nd step is planning and development that consist of planning preliminary product, develop preliminary product, validation, and preliminary product revision. The 3thstep is preliminary field test and main product revision. The results of this research are student worksheet based science process skills on factors affecting reaction rate topic have very good quality for contents suitability aspect with score 98,46%; for readability aspect according to teacher is 98,00% 87,88% according to students; for beauty aspect according to teacher is 98,46% 86,52% according to students.Key words :  student worksheet, science process skills, factors affecting reaction rate topic.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the effectiveness of learning model of problem solving which was effective in increasing of classifying and concluding skill in the subject of non-electrolyte and electrolyte. The samples of this research were the students of SMA Persada Bandar Lampung class X3 and X4 at even semester year of 2012-2013. This research used quasi experiment method by Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) control group design. The result of this research showed the average of classifying skill n-Gain for control class and experimental class were 0,39 and 0.68 and the average of concluding skill n-Gain for control class and experimental class were 0,46 and 0,66. Based on hypothesis testing, it was known that the class which used learning of problem solving had higher classifying and concluding skill than the class which used conventional learning. It showed that learning of problem solving was effective in increasing the classifying and concluding skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan pada materi larutan non-elektrolit dan elektrolit. Sample dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Persada Bandar Lampung kelas X3 dan kelas X4 semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2012-2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design..Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengelompokkan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,39 dan 0,68 dan rerata n-Gain keterampilan menyimpulkan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,46 dan 0,66. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diketahui bahwa kelas dengan pembelajaran problem solving memiliki keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan.Kata kunci: keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan, pembelajaran, problem solving.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using discovery learning based student worksheet to improve critical thinking skills on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution. The population in this study is all students of class X Natural Science in one of Senior High School in Bandar Lampung in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling and obtained sample of class X Natural Science 7 as experiment class and X Natural Science 8 as control class. This research method is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that in the experimental class the average value of n-Gain critical thinking skills was in high criteria. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that student worksheet based on discovery learning have a high effect in improving critical thinking skills on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektroit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA yang ada di salah satu SMA di Bandar Lampung pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling dan diperoleh sampel kelas X IPA7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 8 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai n-Gain keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa berkriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis discovery learning berpengaruh tinggi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.Kata Kunci: Discovery learning, kemampuan berpikir kritis, lembar kerja siswa

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-book on colloidal system material. The research design that has been used was research and development design (R D). Based on the validation result of e-book developed, obtained very high category on conformity aspects of content with curriculum and high category aspects of attractiveness in terms of design, color combination, drawing, and animation. The teacher's response to both aspects has a very high category. The results of student responses to aspects of attractiveness in terms of design, color mix, images, and animation also have a very high categoryPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif pada materi sistem koloid. Desain penelitian yang telah digunakan adalah desain penelitian dan pengembangan (RD). Berdasarkan hasil validasi terhadap e-book yang dikembangkan, diperoleh kategori sangat tinggi pada aspek kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum dan kategori tinggi aspek kemenarikan dari segi desain, perpaduan warna, gambar, dan animasi. Hasil respon guru terhadap kedua aspek tersebut memiliki kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil respon siswa terhadap aspek kemenarikan dari segi desain, perpaduan warna, gambar, dan animasi juga memiliki kategori sangat tinggi.Kata Kunci: e-book, materi koloid, interaktif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using SiMaYang model based student worksheet to improve critical thinking skills on electrolyte and nonelectroit solution. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA in SMA Negeri 1 Natar in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used was clauster random sampling and obtained sample of class X MIA 5 as experiment class and X MIA 7 as control class. This research method is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The effect of LKS based on SiMaYang model is measured on the average value of n-Gain critical thinking skills. The results showed that in the experimental class the average value of n-Gain critical thinking skills was 0.71. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that LKS based on SiMaYang model have a high effect in improving critical thinking skills on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution. Abstract

This research  was  aimed to describe the effect of sosioscientific issues to improve mental models of student ability on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions topic. This research method was quasi experiment with pretest posttest control group design.  The population of this research were all tenthgrade science students.  The sample was obtained by cluster random sampling technique, and the students of X IPA 3 were obtained as experiment class and X IPA 6 as control class.  The effect of socioscientific issues was analyzed by the differences of two average test and effect size test to mental models of student ability compared to control class.  The result showed that using socioscientific issues on learning had large effect to improve mental models of student ability.  Based on hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that learning using Socioscientific Issues has a large effect to improve mental models of student ability.Keywords: mental models, socioscientific issues learning, electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutionsPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran isu sosiosaintifik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan model mental siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.  Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest-postest control group design.  Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Pengaruh pembelajaran isu sosiosaintifik dianalisis menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata n-Gaindan uji effect size terhadap kemampuan model mental siswa dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis isu sosiosaintfik memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan model mental siswa.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan isu sosiosaintifik memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam meningkatkan model mental siswa.Kata kunci: model mental, pembelajaran isu sosiosaintifik,larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jppk.v8.i2.201908

Abstract

This research which aimed to describe the validity, teachers and students responses, and feasibility of virtual lab in experiment of vapor pressure depression and boiling point elevation of solution has been implemented by RD method. Validator gave judgement for content suitability, construction, and ease of usabilit aspect of developed virtual lab were 85,71%, 96,97%, and 96,67% respectively which each of them in very high criteria. In preliminary field testing, teachers and students gave responses to developed virtual lab were 95,395% and 98,10% respectively. Based on feasibility test, developed virtual lab has been said worthy by observer and got respons in very high criteria by students.Penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat validitas, tanggapan guru dan siswa, serta uji keterlaksanaan virtual lab dalam praktikum penurunan tekanan uap dan kenaikan titik didih larutan telah dilaksanakan dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Validator memberikan validasi pada aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan kemudahan penggunaan berturut-turut 85,71%, 96,97%, dan 96,67% masing-masing dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Pada uji coba secara terbatas guru dan siswa memberikan respon terhadap virtual lab yang dikembangkan berturut-turut 95,395% dan 98,10%. Berdasarkan uji keterlaksanaan, virtual lab hasil pengembangan dinyatakan layak oleh observer dan mendapatkan respon dengan kriteria sangat tinggi oleh siswa.Kata kunci: virtual lab, penurunan tekanan uap, kenaikan titik didih
