Abstract

The research was aimed to describe the effect of scaffolding strategy in SiMaYang learning on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution topics. This research used pretest-posttest control group design with cluster random sampling technique, and it was obtained X MIA 3 as experimental class and X MIA 4 as control class in SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. The effect of scaffolding strategy was measured by implementation of SiMaYang learning model, implementation of scaffolding, and students science process skills used difference of two average test and effect size test. The result of research showed that scaffolding strategy in SiMaYang learning has a very big effect in improving students science process skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi scaffolding dalam model pembelajaran SiMaYang pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. Pengaruh strategi scaffolding ditentukan berdasarkan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran SiMaYang, keterlaksanaan scaffolding, dan keterampilan proses sains siswa menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dan uji ukuran pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi scaffolding pada pembelajaran SiMaYang berpengaruh sangat besar terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit, SiMaYang, strategi scaffolding

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of POE model on buffer solution topic in order to increase the fluent thinking ability. The method of this research was quasi experiment type non equivalent control group design. Sample class were taken by purposive sampling technique. The student of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 in SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung academic year 2015/2016 were sample in this reseacrh . The effectiveness of POE model was showed by the difference of average n-Gain that was obtained based on t test, the average n-Gain in experiment class was 0.62 and control class was 0.29. This research concluded that learning uses POE model effective on buffer solution topic in order to increase the fluent thinking ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model POE pada materi larutan penyangga dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir lancar. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen tipe non equivalent control group design. Kelas sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 3 SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 Efektivitas model POE dilihat berdasarkan perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain yang diperoleh berdasarkan uji t, rata-rata n-Gain.pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 0,62 dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,29. Abstract

This research use RD method had been done with aim to describe the validity and practically of discovery learning-based student worksheets. The stages of research development were started from preliminary study, product development, and preliminary field testing. Preliminary field testing was conducted in the 1st science of 11th grade at SMA Kosgoro Bandar Sribhawono to observe student worksheets practically. Based on validation expert to readability, construction, and content suitability aspect were 80%; 87.37%; and 83.33%, respectively. Based on students responses to readibility and attractiviness aspect were 90.5% and 88.63%, respectivaly. Based on teachers response to readability and attractiviness, and content suitability aspect were 88.57%; 89.10%; and 90%, respectively. Base on these results, it could be concluded that the student worksheets have very high validity and practically.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dan kepraktisan LKS berbasis model discovery learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD). Tahapan penelitian pengembangan ini dimulai dari studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk dan uji coba terbatas. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Kosgoro Bandar Sribhawono untuk mengetahui kepraktisan LKS. Hasil yang diperoleh dari validasi ahli pada aspek keterbacaan, konstruksi dan kesesuaian isi secara berturut-turut yaitu 80%; 87,37% dan 83,33%. Hasil respon siswa pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan secara bertutut-turut yaitu 90,5% dan 88,63%. Hasil respon guru pada aspek keterbacaan, kemenarikan dan kesesuaian isi secara berturut-turut yaitu 88,57%; 89,10% dan 90%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas dan kepraktisan yang sangat tinggi.Kata kunci: discovery learning, LKS, pendekatan saintifik, penurunan titik beku, tekanan osmotik

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach in increasing student’s evaluative thinking skill in acid-base subject matter. The population of this research was all students grade XI in science class of SMA Negeri 3 Metro at second semester of academic year 2013-2014. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class of  XI IPA 3 dan XI IPA 5 as sample.  The research method used quasi experimental with non equivalent control group design. The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant n-gain difference between the experimental class and the control class. The result showed that average n-gain of  evaluative thinking skills of control class was 0,25 and 0,56 for experiment class. From the hypotesis testing, it was concluded that  scientific approach was effective in increasing the evaluative thinking skill in acid-base subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam mening­kat­kan keterampilan berpikir evaluatif siswa pada materi asam-basa.  Populasi da­lam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Ne­geri 3 Metro semes­ter genap Tahun 2013-2014.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sam­pling dan diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 dan XI IPA 5 sebagai sampel.  Metode pe­ne­litian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Con­trol Group Design.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam pembelajaran ini ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan  n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kon­­trol dan kelas eks­perimen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-gain  keterampi­lan berpi­kir evaluatif kelas control adalah 0,25 dan 0,56 untuk kelas eksperimen.  Dari pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir evaluatif pada materi asam-basa.Kata kunci: asam basa, berpikir evaluatif, pendekatan ilmiah.

Abstract

This research which using Research and Development method was conducted with the aim to develop the performance assessment instrument on the concentration effect on reaction rate experiment and to describe the characteristics and chemistry teacher response to the developed product. Developed performance assessment instrument has characteristics: assess important aspects on the concentration effect on reaction rate experiment, allows the teacher to implement it in schools, allows the teacher to assess students performance, either individually or in groups, cost-effective and easy scoring. Teachers gave a very good response to the legibility, construction and implementation product aspect of an performance assessment instrument which the percentage of them were 88.14%; 90.67% and 84.44%, respectively. Based on it, the performance assessment instrument on the concentration effect on reaction rate experiment was categorized in very good.Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen kinerja pada praktikum pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap laju reaksi, mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan respon guru kimia terhadap produk hasil pengembangan. Instrumen asesmen kinerja yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik: menilai aspek penting dalam praktikum pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap laju reaksi, memungkinkan bagi guru untuk menerapkannya di sekolah, memungkinkan guru untuk melakukan penilaian terhadap peserta didik, baik secara individu maupun kelompok, hemat biaya dan pengolahan skornya mudah. Guru telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek keterbacaan, konstruksi dan penerapan produk, dengan persentase dari masing-masing aspek secara berturut-turut adalah 88,14 %; 90,67 % dan 84,44 % yang menunjukan bahwa instrumen asesmen kinerja pada praktikum pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap laju reaksi dikategorikan sangat baik.Kata kunci: asesmen kinerja, pengaruh konsentrasi, laju reaksi

Abstract

The aim of this research were to find out and to describe enhancement of  giving reason skill and exciting conclusion skill and mastery of concept by problem based learning on reduction oxidation reaction material. The population of this research was all student of the first grade of SMAN 1 Rumbia in academic year 2011-2012 where class X4 and class X5 were the sample of the research. this research used a quasi  experiments method with non equivalent control group design and parametric test with t' test. The effectiveness of problem based learning model was measured based on the increasing of significant n-Gain. The result of the research showed that n-Gain average of giving reason skill for eksperimen class and control class was 0,46 and 0,31; n-Gain average of exciting conclusion skill for eksperimen class and control class was 0,51 and 0,17; and n-Gain average of mastery of concept  for eksperimen class and control class was 0,41 and -0,51.Based on hypotesis testing, it is known that student in experiment class where was applied by problem based learning model had higher giving reason skill, exciting conclusion skill and mastery of concept than the class that applied conventional learning.  It is proved that problem based learning model was effective in increasing giving reason skill, exciting conclusion skill and mastery of concept on reduction oxidation reaction material.Keyword:  problem based learning, giving reason skill, exciting conclusion skill, mastery of concept.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of CORE learning model to improve the communicating  skilland mastery concept on solubility and solubility product constant.  The population were all students XI IPA in SMAN 8 Bandar Lampung 2012-2013 and class XI IPA1 and IPA3 as samples.  Purposive sampling were used as a method with quasi-experimental non equivalent control group design.  Effectiveness of  CORE learning model was measured by the N-gain  that significantly difference.  The results showed the N-gain  average of communicating skill for the experimental class and control were 0.62 and 0.46 and for mastery the concept  were 0.57 and 0.47.  Based on hypothesis test, both N-gain’s have t-test higher than t-table. therefore CORE learning model was effective in improving the communicating skill and mastery concept of solubility. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran CORE untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri  8 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2012-2013 dengan kelas XI IPA1 dan kelas XI IPA3 sebagai sampel.  Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas model pembelajaran CORE diukur berdasarkan perbedaan N-gain yang signifikan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata  N-gain keterampilan mengkomunikasikan untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol  yaitu 0.62 dan 0.46.  Sedangkan penguasaan konsep untuk kelas ekperimen dan kontrol yaitu 0.57 dan 0.47.  Berdasarkan uji t, kedua  N-gain memiliki t-hitung yang lebih tinggi dari t-tabel , model pembelajaran  CORE terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan.Kata kunci : CORE, keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research purpose is to develop student worksheet with scientific approach on solubility and constant solubility product material. The research methods used Research and Development methods.  From the teacher assessment and students response over student worksheet that has been developed, it is obtained the percentage of teacher assesment on the aspects of suitability of content, readability, and attractiveness are 90,90%; 92%; and 87,14%. The results of students responses to the readability and attractiveness are also very high, with the percentage until 87,87% and 86,42%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS dengan pendekatan scientific pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil penilaian guru dan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan, diperoleh persentase penilaian guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan sebesar 90,90%; 92%; dan 87,14%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap keterbacaan dan kemenarikanjuga sangat tinggi yaitu dengan persentase 87,87% dan 86,42%.Kata kunci: kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, LKS, pendekatan scientific

Abstract

The pre-experimental research with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design was aimed to describe the practicality and effectiveness of SiMaYang Type II learning in growing mental models and concept mastery of students in acid base topic. The research was conducted at the 11th grade of IPA1, IPA2 and IPA3 SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung as replication classes. The data analysis was done descriptively. The results showed that the implementation of SiMaYang Type II learning have high practicality and effectiveness in growing mental models and concept mastery of students in acid base topic. Mental models of three replication classes have the criteria of "very bad, "bad," and "moderate" originally and they was increase to "moderate," "good," and "very good. The n-Gain average of mental models and concept mastery of three replication classes obtained the "high" and "moderate" achievement.Penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektivan pembelajaran SiMaYang Tipe II dalam menumbuhkan model mental dan peng-uasaan konsep asam basa siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas XI IPA1, XI IPA2, dan XI IPA3 SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung sebagai kelas replikasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran SiMaYang Tipe II memiliki kepraktisan dan keefektivan yang tinggi dalam menumbuhkan model mental dan penguasaan konsep asam basa siswa. Model mental ketiga kelas replikasi yang semula berkriteria sangat buruk, buruk, dan sedang mengalami peningkatan menjadi sedang, baik, dan sangat baik. Rata-rata n-Gainmodel mental dan penguasaan konsep ketiga kelas replikasi memperoleh pencapaian tinggi dan sedang.Kata kunci: asam basa, kepraktisan, keefektivan, SiMaYang Tipe II.

Abstract

This research is purposed to describe the effectiveness of  SBEI model  to improve student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result. This research population is all students of XI Science SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi. This research uses experiment quasi method with Non Equivalent (Pretes and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample is taken by purposive sampling technique and used XI Science 2 as experiment class and XI Science 3 as control class. The effectiveness of SBEI model is measured based on improvement of n-Gain score which is significant between control class and experiment class. The result of research shows that the average of n-Gain score student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result to control class and experiment class is 0,38 and 0,61. Based on hypotesis test, it is known that experiment class with SBEI model has inducting and considering induction result skill which is higher than control class with conventional learning. This result shows that SBEI model is more effective to improve student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result.Keywords : SBEI model, student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result
