This study aims to determine the effectiveness of peer counseling to increase prosocial behavior of students of SMP Negeri 8 Madiun. The research design study is pre-experimental design. The research subject was eight students taken through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection instrument used a scale of prosocial behavior. The effectiveness of peer counseling test to increase prosocial behavior of students was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test formula. The analysis of data shows that the students prosocial average score change was 61 or 36 % , from a pretest data average was 85 or 49 %, to 146 , or 85 % on average of the posttest data. The results showed that peer counseling is effective to increase prosocial behavior of students of SMP Negeri 8 Madiun. The results of this study can be used as reference material for the guidance and counseling teachers in the preparation of peer counseling program to develop studentsâ prosocial behavior.

This study aimed to describe the perception of students on teacher performance counseling certified educators (the field of guidance and counseling). the method in this research is descriptive quantitative research. The research was conducted in SMP N 1 Banguntapan, with a population of students of class IX in SMP N 1 Banguntapan with the number of 30 students. Instruments in this study using a questionnaire with data analysis techniques using grouping criteria, moderate, and less. The results obtained in this study concluded that students perceptions of teacher performance guidance and counseling in both categories on the basis of the data categories of each aspect, among others: aspects of personal competence with the number of 14 students (47%), aspects of social competence with number 25 students (83%), and aspects of professional competence by the number of 23 students (77%). This study may provide information to teachers BK to improve performance related to personal competence, social, and professional, so it can be a teacher BK capable of carrying out its duties and responsibilities in providing guidance and counseling services in schools optimally.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with a behavioristic approach to reducing academic procrastination on vocational students. This type of research is classroom action research, consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of three acts. Each cycle begins with the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject was determined by purposive sampling of six students with high academic procrastination level criteria. The research instrument used in the form of academic procrastination scale and guidelines for observation. Data analysis using t-test formula. The results showed that the average student academic procrastination 107.33 pretest and posttest mean of 66.5 and 100% of the students are in the category of academic procrastination low after getting action. It can be concluded that the counseling group with the approach used to reduce the effective behavioristic academic procrastination, vocational students. The results of this study useful for counselors to help students reduce academic procrastination through a counseling group with the behavioristic approach.

This study aims to describe the students perception of the orientation services of class X SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive quantitative. The participants consisted 104 students of 10th grade at SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta selected by random sampling techniques. The instruments used in data collection are questionnaires. The obtained data of the students perception of orientation services were analyzed using simple calculation by categorizing them into three criteria: good, moderate, poor. The results of the research showed that the studentsâ perception of the orientation services of class X SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta are categorized as good, moderate, and poor, reaching the average percentage of each are 49%, 51%, and 0%, respectively. The results of this study can be used as consideration for the guidance and counseling teachers in developing orientation services in accordance with the studentsâ needs and interests

This research aims to know the effectiveness of group counseling service to improve the learning concentration of the students holding Road to Prosperity Cards (KMS-Kartu Menuju Sejahtera). The research employed action research in the implementation. The subject of the research is five students from grade VIII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta which were selected using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the quessionaire on learning concentration and observation guidelines. To examine the effectiveness of group counseling service, the data is analyzed using t-test formula. The data analysis results show the t-value of 9.215 > t table (2.2776). The average score of the pretest on learning concentration was 145.4. The score improved at the post test on learning concentration, showing the average score of 167.4. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that group counseling service is effective to improve the learning concentration of the students holding Road to Prosperity Card. This research can be used by the teachers of guidance and counseling to help the students to improve their learning concentration through group counseling service.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of value clarification techniques in raising the elementary school studentsâ awareness towards the value of the academic responsibilities. This is an experimental studies in which one group possesed in pretestt-posttest design. There were eight participants of elementary school students. They were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used for collecting the data was the scale of awareness towards the value of the academic responsibilities for elementary school students. The data were analyzed using the nonparametric statistical test of Wilcoxon sign rank test. The results of the analysis showed that there is a different value (z) -2.524 in a significant degree of < 0.05. The pretest results showed that the average score of the elementary school studentsâ awareness towards the value of the academic responsibilities was 66, on the other hand, the posttest results showed that the average score was 94,5. Based on this study, it can be concluded that value clarification techniques is effective in raising the elementary school studentsâ awareness towards the value of the academic responsibilities. The is study can be used as the consideration for counseling teachers in providing a wide range of guidance and counseling services especially on the developing the studentsâ value of the academic responsibilities through value clarification techniques.

One of the tasks the development of high school teenagers are prepared to face the world of work or career. This study aims to improve students career planning through career guidance with the use of media modules in class XII IPA 2 MAN Wonokromo Bantul academic year 2013/2014. This research is action research. The subjects were taken in this study using purposive sampling as many as 12 students who have a low level of career planning. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and observation. Analysis of the data used using the formula t-test to see the differences between the mean pretest and posttest mean. The research shows students career planning class XII IPA 2 can be enhanced through the use of media career guidance module seen from the significant difference from the average prior to career guidance at 105.25 and after a mean of 122.50 and career guidance. It can be concluded "there is increasing career guidance, career planning through the use of media modules in class XII IPA 2 MAN Wonokromo Bantul academic year 2013/2014. The results of this study can be used as reference material for teachers bmbingan and counseling programming and media development of career counseling services to improve students career planning.

The purpose of this study is to determine the increase of time management understanding through group guidance with problem solving techniques. This research is a classroom action research with cross sectional type. The subjects of research were ten students of class VII A SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection instrument used was in the form of a questionnaire of time management understanding. Data analysis technique to test the effectiveness of group guidance was problem solving technique which is to improve the understanding of time management of SMP students using the Wilcoxon test. The results of data analysis shows a mean of time management understanding before the action of problem solving techniques was 55.30 and the average after problem solving techniques given was 78.60. Wilcoxon test results shows p = 0.005 so that we can conclude that there is an increase of time management understanding of SMP students after using group guidance with problem solving techniques. The results of this study can be useful for guidance and counseling teachers as a consideration material in improving the understanding of studentsâ time management through group guidance services using problem solving techniques.

This study aims to determine the understanding improvement of career exploration through group guidance services with a group discussion technique. This study uses classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects are eight students of grade IX E SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta, taken by using purposive sampling. Data collection instruments use understanding questionnaires of career exploration and observation guidelines. An understanding of the students career exploration before and after group guidance services group by group discussion techniques were analyzed using t-test formula. Results of data analysis obtained by value t = 7.812> t table (1.895), with the results mean score of 119.87 pretest and posttest mean score increased to 155.75. The results of this study concluded there is an understanding improvement of career exploration through group guidance services with the student a group discussion technique. The results of this study can be used as information for guidance and counseling teachers in an effort to improve the understanding of students career exploration through group guidance services by utilizing the technique of a group discussion.

The purpose of this research is to know the role of learning motivation, self-efficacy and family support in self-regulated learning of the 11th grade of SMA N 2 Bantulâs Students. There were as many as 248 students in the population of the 11th grade of SMA Negeri 2 Bantul and 72 of them were selected as samples using cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by using learning motivation scale, self-efficacy, family support and self-regulated learning. The data analysis technique made use of multiple regression analysis and partial correlation technique. The regression analysis indicated positive correlation between learning motivation, self-efficacy and family support, and self-regulated learning with F value of 37.345, p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). There was positive impact of learning motivation to Self-Regulated Learning with t = 2.767, p = 0.007 (p < 0.05). There was a positive role of Self-Efficacy to Self-Regulated Learning with t = 3.532 and p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), a positive role of Family Support to Self- Regulated Learning with t = 2.267 and p = 0.027 (p < 0.05). This research can be used as a reference in the field of guidance and counseling, psychological counseling, or school psychology program within which it was mainly related to the increase in motivation, self-efficacy, social support families and self-regulated learning in learning activities of the students.
