The research is motivated by the lack of intrapersonal and interpersonal competence of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesiaâs students. The research aimed to test the effectiveness of experiential-based counseling program to develop intrapersonal and interpersonal competencies of students. The research using qualitative and quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods, and with the equivalent time series design. The Study was conducted in the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia with 92 s participants Student French Language participants using non-random sampling technique. The instrument used a likert scale of intrapersonal and interpersonal. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. The results showed that experiential-based counseling program effective to develop intrapersonal and interpersonal competencies students. Overall there was an increase intrapersonal competence of students with an average score of 12.39%, and improved interpersonal competence of students with an average score of 17.93%. This research can be used as a reference for the guidance and counseling services unit, lecturer and counselors at universities to develop the intrapersonal and interpersonal competence of student.

This research was motivated by the phenomenon hedonistic lifestyle among students, it is possible the student guidance and counseling. This study aims to determine the cause of the lifestyle of hedonism student guidance and counseling class of 2011 at the Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. This research was conducted using qualitative research case study, which explores in more depth about the problems associated with the lifestyle of hedonism student guidance and counseling class of 2011 at the Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. A researcher using purposive sampling for the subjects to be studied attention to their special characteristics or properties owned. Researchers get 3 men and 2 women who were subjects in this study. Results of the research have shown that students hedonistic lifestyle guidance and counseling class of 2011 was motivated by external factors, namely family and friends association. Disharmony in the family and lack of attention, affection, regulations both within families and communities create pressure within the individual, and the persuasion of friends, making its difficult escape from the snare lifestyle of hedonism. Research results helpful in providing information for parents who have a child as a student of the hedonistic lifestyle of students, besides the results of research can help parents prevent behavior for a lifestyle of hedonism.

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of rational emotive behavioral counseling through imagery technique as an effort to enhance the psychological resilience of the students with low socio-economy status. This research used quantitative-qualitative approach with mixed research method. Quasi experimental design to test the effectiveness of the intervention useing non-equivalentpretest-posttest control group design. It was conducted in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesiain Serang Regional Campus by 160 students as participants who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using Adolescenceâs Resilience Scale and Activity Journal. The result indicated that rational emotive behavioral counseling through imagery technique proved empirically effective to enhance the resilience of the students with low socio-economy status. Based on t-test from pretest and posttest experiment group result, it can be seen that H0 was rejected (t count = 8.152 and t table=1.760.) This research can be used as a reference in improving the resilience of students with low socio-economic status by the guidance and counseling sevice unit in universities, lecturers, counselors at the college to improve low economic status studentsâ resilience.

This research is about the school well-being of acceleration students in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. A Researcher wants to describe the school well-being and its main factors which contribute to acceleration studentsâ school well-being in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. The data is collected by interview, observation, and document study. The research shows that the school well-being of acceleration students in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta are described as well perceived on school infrastructure, excellent individual capital, unwell learning design management, well interpersonal school interaction, well school management, and perceived parental support.

This study aimed to know how big the influence of communication skills to aggressiveness. This was a correlational study. This study was conducted in SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. The sample of this study was seventy students who were taken through simple random sampling technique. This study employed the Aggressiveness Scale and the Communication Skill Scale. The data were analyzed by using statistical regression analysis. The result of this study showed that the communication skills affected the aggressiveness. This study proved that communication skills were able to repress the studentsâ aggressiveness. Therefore, the counselors are expected to assist the development of studentsâ communication skills.

This study aims to examine in depth of the effect of religious counseling towards the religious behavioral adaptation of Indonesian migrant in the Netherlands. The study used a case study of twelve Indonesian Muslim migrants in the Netherlands with male and female sex with a religious counselor taken with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection tool used in this study was by interview and in-depth observation. Data analysis techniques using a model of qualitative data analysis Miles Huberman with data reduction steps, display data and draw conclusions. The result of this study showed that the religious counseling played positive roles in the life of Indonesian Muslim migrants group in the Netherlands. Those roles include community life, relationship with Allah and relationship among Islam people. The findings of this study can be a strategy for the counselor in assisting Muslim migrants in a non-muslim country on the behavioral adaptation

This study aimed to find out to what extent the role of peer group at school towards the studentsâ interpersonal communication This was a descriptive quantitative study. The  number of subject of  this study were 172 students of class the tenth-grade students of all vocational high school in Singaparna sub-district  with taken by using simple random sampling. The data of this study were analyzed statistically by using linear regression test, the coefficient of correlation test, and coefficient of determination test. Based on the data analysis, This study found that there was a significant relationship between peer group at school and studentsâ interpersonal communication. The result of this study was beneficial for school counselor in directing the students about the importance of positive interaction within the peer group and the importance of developing the students interpersonal communication.

This study aimed to understand the effectiveness of the classroom guidance activity for the academic aspect to improve achievement motivation underachiever gifted students in SMA Negeri 4 Bandung. This was an experimental study with pre-experimental design.  The data were collected through achievement motivation scale. The subject of this study was 30 students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Bandung. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique of this study was paired sample t-test statistical formula. The result of this study showed that classroom guidance activity for the academic aspect was effective to improve achievement motivation underachiever gifted students. This study generates a new strategy in the form of classroom guidance activity for the academic aspect was effective to improve achievement motivation underachiever gifted students.

This research aims to reveal âhope of Indonesian adolescents especially in Bantul regency of Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data were gathered from 106 adolescents consisting of 38 males and 68 females (16 -18 years old) from high schools.The instruments of this study was a hope scale in the form of semantic deferential scale ranged from 1 to 8 (1= very inappropriate, 8 = very appropriate). The data analysis of this study was descriptive statistics. The result of the study showed that the hope of female students is higher than male students. In agency thinking, male students are higher than female students, otherwise, in pathways thinking, female students are higher than male students. Based on the parents occupation, those who work in private sector have high hope. Conversely, the students whose parents are farmers have a low hope. The lowest scale of pathways thinking was obtained by the students whose parents are farmers as well as in the agency showed that the students whose parents are labours obtained the lowest scale

This study aimed to understand the effect of group counseling service in increasing studentsâ learning discipline. This was a quasi-experimental study with non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were eighteen students taken by using purposive sampling technique. This study employed learning discipline rating scale to collect the data, while interviews and documentation were done as the supporting technique. The data analysis technique of this study was independent t-test by separate-variance t-test formula. The result of t-test score calculation by df=18 with the 0.05 significance level was 2.145, and the tcount = 6,652. Since tcount > ttable (6,652 > 2,145), it could be concluded that assertive training can increase the learning discipline on the students of Class X of SMK Trisakti Bandar Lampung. The result of this study provides an alternative solution for school counselor in facing the students who experience learning discipline problem through group counseling service.
