Abstract

Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is one of the most cultured fish in Indonesia. The main problem in catfish culture is low productivity and high feed conversion ratio (FCR). The purpose of this activity was to evaluate the application of probiotic in catfish culture. For nursery, catfish juveniles with size of 2-3 cm was cultured for 40 days while fish with size of 7-9 cm was cultivated for 85 days in grow-out tank. All tanks were treated by probiotic during one culture cycle. Probiotic was directly given to the water and administered by feed. The results showed that survival rates of nursery and grow-out tanks were 90 and 92%, respectively. The FCR value in the grow-out was 0.8. It can concluded that probiotic application was able to improve the survival rate and the feed conversion ratio in catfish culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the character of a zeolite, knowing the ratio of the addition of zeolites and zeolite activation on levels of N from organic fertilizers, determine the effect of banana stems against K content of manure and know the quality of the organic fertilizer produced. Research has been done that is activated zeolite with HCl 0.4 m. Natural zeolites and activated zeolite characterization has been done using XRF, AAS and SAA. Organic fertilizer production is done by adding the zeolite and the banana stems in 500 grams of chicken manure with the addition of zeolite variation by 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 grams. The addition of banana stem variations of 100, 150, 200 and 250 grams. Organic fertilizer analysis contains N, P, and K. The results showed that the zeolite contains elements Si, Al, Ca and Fe. AAS results showed that the zeolites contain elements K of 0.258% and 0.405% respectively for natural zeolites and zeolite activation. SAA results showed that the zeolite is a mesoporous material with a surface area, pore diameter and volume respectively was 244.2 m2 / g, 6.008 nm, 0.099 mL / g for natural zeolites and zeolite activation was 251.7 m2 / g, 6.046 nm and 0,088mL / g. The addition of zeolite can increase the levels of N fertilizer. The addition of zeolite activation in the manufacture of manure increases the levels of N and K but lower levels of P. The addition of a banana tree in the manufacture of organic fertilizer can increase the levels of N, P and K fertilizer. Increasing the ratio of banana stems not affect the K value of manure produced. Quality of the manure generated from livestock manure to 500 grams, 250 grams and 25 grams of banana stem zeolite activation had higher levels of N 4.90%, 1.08% P2O5, K2O 0.62%, 9.31% water content, organic-C 33.48% and C / N ratio of 6.83%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the rate of daily growth and productivity of seaweed K. alvarezii and economic value in the Gelung Coastal to support the production of seaweed K. alvarezii. This research was conducted in August-October 2015 in the Gelung Coastal Desa Gelung Kecamatan Panarukan Kabupaten Sitobondo, East Java. Seaweed seeds of K. alvarezii (0:47 ± 2.99) kg grown using a rope tied to a rope stretch of No. 4 and mounted on a bamboo raft (6 x 7) m2. Seaweed weighing done at the beginning and end of the study. Water quality measured in the form; Temperature (oC), Salinity (ppt), Brightness (cm), pH, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonium and posphate. Data growth and productivity of seaweed K. alvarezii were analyzed descriptively. Analysis of the economic aspects of cultivation of macroalgae covering the analysis of BEP (Break Event Point), ROI (Return on Investment) and B / C ratio (Benefit Cost Ratio) to determine how the feasibility of seaweed cultivation K. alvarezii sustainable.This results showed that the average weight of seaweed is (10:55 ± 1.67) kg each rope stretch of the shelf that are kept for 35 days. Weight gain seaweed K. alvarezii reached 4 times the initial weight (2.99 ± 0:47) kg with an average daily weight gain reached 23% and specific growth rate (SGR) is 3.92%. Daily growth rate seaweed K alvarezii is almost identical to that maintained in the waters of India (Kotiya, et al., 2011), but lower than the daily growth specifically in the waters of Yucatan, Mexico (monoz et al. 2004) and the results of tissue culture (Lym Yong et al. 2014), but higher than with a specific daily growth Sangihe Islands waters Talengan Minahasa which only reaches 3:37% (Tiwa, et al. 2013). Similarly, the productivity of seaweed farming in the coastal Gelung shelf models more productive with average results obtained reached 4.76 kg / m2 or 47.6 tons / ha. Much higher result compared with the East India Water Tharuvaikulam until reach 2:59 kg / m2 (Athithan, 2014) and in the waters of Southeast Sulawwesi Konawe reaching only 1:34 kg / m2 (Faisal, et al. 2013). This is due to the nutrients that need seaweads K. alvarezii Aquatic Gelung sufficient. Based on the economic analysis of seaweed cultivation K. alvarezii BEP values obtained with the production 1.880.91 kg dry. The value of ROI obtained was 0.77 or 77%. This means that for every capital of Rp. 100.00, - obtained a profit of Rp. 77.00. while the value of B / C ratio obtained is of 1.77 which means that with a capital of Rp. 13,165.000 be obtained from the sale of 1.77 times the amount of capital. Abstract

The objective of this study was to disseminate the technology of Artificial Insemiation (AI) and Milk Processing. This activity expected to help the Ettawa goat farmer to overcoming their problems which subsequently it can be improve theirincome.The methods use dinthisstudywastogiveinsightknowledgeandsimpletechnologytotheselectedEttawa goat partner group. Based on the discussion with Etawa goat partner group, several activities were carried out, i.e.: (1) to improve  good genetic quality of Etawa goat  livestocks, (2) providing milk technology product such as yogurt and kefir  (3)provide assistance of  cup sealer,(4)trainingofproductionandfinancialmanagement,(5)provide training artificial insemination. The result of this study showed that the Ettawa goat farmer as partner group  receive the strengthening  of their business. Such as adopted the techniqueofselectingsuperiorsires,livestock management,recycling of  manure  as a fertilizerproduction, milk technology production plant. .

Abstract

All this time, mathematics has become the scourge for elementary and junior high school students, so that students are not well motivated to learn the material of Mathematics. Along with the development of computer technology, it can be used as one tool that can help the learning process. Mathematics software can be used to explain the difficult concepts in mathematics becomes easily, clearer, more interesting and fun. In Ponorogo, mathematics teachers have a meeting forum called the Subject Teacher Council (MGMP) of Mathematics. The general problems of the council is the less equality in opportunities of MGMP Mathematics teachers in Junior Secondary Schools (SMP and MTs) at Ponorogo to attain trainings for improving students skills in understanding the material of Mathematics and the limited insight of mathematics teachers about mathematics software that can be used as an instructional media of mathematics material. Therefore, the activity of microsoft mathematics training for mathematics teachers in Junior Secondary Schools at Ponorogo has been necessarily and urgently needed to improve the quality of learning methods. These software is open source software with less space requirement in the computer and easy installation.

Abstract

In order to support conservation programs and activities, in 2011 the National Park Meru Betiri undertake community development activities by forming productive business in the form of oyster mushroom cultivation is coordinated by the Center for Rural Forestry Extension. Curahnongko village, Jember, East Java formed four groups of oyster mushroom cultivation with technology that is still traditional and opportunities to be developed. Obstacles faced by oyster mushroom cultivation is on the low efficiency of the process of watering, temperature and humidity measurement processes and packaging oyster mushrooms. In addition, baglog waste thrown away by a group of oyster mushroom cultivation due to the limited knowledge and the ability to tap into other products, among others as compost and media for the cultivation of earthworms. Through this activity, carried out innovations over technology in oyster mushroom cultivation, such as water pumps mechanical, thermometer and hygrometer, vacuum sealer for packaging of oyster mushrooms and cages permanently to the cultivation of earthworms measuring 3 x 8 x 2 m3 according to the land already owned by SMEs. The hope will be able to improve productivity and increase production of oyster mushrooms and earthworms so that the market expansion of both quality and quantity can be achieved maximum. The results of the implementation of activities is mentoring about production systems oyster mushrooms and earthworms with maximum quality results. When this has been achieved for the physical infrastructure and the provision of seeds for cultivation worms. Monitoring and evaluation of the successful implementation of activity internally and externally conducted periodically to evaluate the success of the implementation of the facility so that production equipment will have an impact on the cultivation of oyster mushrooms and earthworms

Abstract

The objective of this study was to disseminate the technology of Artificial Insemiation (AI) and managenet of Milk Processing. This activity expected to help the Ettawa goat farmer to over coming their problems which sub sequentlyit can be improve their income.The method susedin this study was to give in sight knowledge and simple technology to the selected Ettawa goat partner group.The result of these activities were achieved the result of loco  goat artificial insemination about  77%  Conception rate,  so that farmers will accept this technology. In other ways showed  the Ettawa goat farmer as partner group  receive the strengthening  of their business wether kid product and milk procesing product.Hopefully  farmers will  adopted  the technique of selecting superior sires, livestock  management,and  milk processing technology production plant.

Abstract

SMEs "RR Milk," a pioneer of SMEs that produce milk into milk crackers and milk candy in the Batu City. The production system on SMEs of dairy cows is still manual and if using household appliances scale still impacting on productivity that has not been maximized to meet market demand. The critical point of SME issues "RR Milk" was lack of technological innovation in the production system due to the use of manual production equipment mainly in the drying process of milk crackers. Through the help of technology transfer to procurement of machinery and equipment production guidance on the management of which the current management of the business is still conventional, less organized in a professional manner and therefore contributes to the progress of its business performance. The results showed that the implementation of activities coordination activities, mentoring and socialization of the means of production of milk crackers were good, production and financial recording system was good, and machinery equipment production facility in the form of the dryer cabinet has been done in order to improve the capacity and efficiency of the production of milk crackers. Mentoring activities packaging system (labeling) and marketing is also done with the target to expand market share and marketing systems more planned and strategic.

Abstract

This activity is conducted on Small and Medium Micro Enterprise (UMKM) "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari". In carrying out its business, MSME requires the right business planning and marketing strategy to prepare the business in the development of its business into a bigger and stronger business. This devotional activity provides the delivery of materials and direct practice of website creation and recording training - reporting of MSME financial statements. This activity is conducted by lecture, question and answer method and discussion. This method is used as a medium of communication during the training so that there is two-way communication between the speakers and the perpetrators of SMEs. Activities include the delivery of materials and direct practice of website creation and recording training - reporting of MSME financial statements. The results of the implementation of this activity are (1) Knowledge and understanding of MSME actors in making and using the website to be increased. (2) The existence of MSME website is expected to assist in information technology based marketing strategy in increasing sales. (3) The skills of MSMEs actors in recording and preparing financial statements are increasing, so it is possible to make their own financial report.

Abstract

Domba merupakan salah satu komoditi yang dapat dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup peternak karena keunggulannya beradaptasi di lingkungan tropis, cepat berkembang biak dan sebagai salah satu sumber protein hewani. Sasaran kegiatan IbM ini adalah peternakan skala kecil di dua kecamatan Jombang dan Bareng, kabupaten Jombang. Kondisi peternakan domba mitra kegiatan IbM yaitu menggunakan limbah pertanian sebagai sumber pakan tetapi domba tidak mencapai berat badan ideal. Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan IbM ini adalah untuk memperbaiki mutu genetik domba dalam menghasilkan daging adalah perbaikan mutu ransum dengan perbaikan formulasi pakan dan manajemen kesehatan domba. Hasil kegiatan antara lain berupa penyuluhan, praktek pembuatan pakan fermentasi, perbaikan genetik domba diupayakan dengan pejantan unggul, pemberian bibit hijauan Indigofera sp dan mesin chopper. Analisis proksimat bahan pakan pakan yang digunakan oleh mitra memiliki kandungan serat kasar yang tinggi tetapi dengan fermentasi mampu menekan serat kasar menjadi 33.21 % dan protein kasar meningkat 9.27 %. Penimbangan berat badan selama 30 hari menunjukkan kenaikan yang tidak signifikan kurang dari 10 %. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini mitra antusias dengan kegiatan IbM terutama atas bantuan berupa mesin chopper dan bibit pejantan unggul sangat membantu perbaikan usaha peternakan.
