Abstract

The development of this technology has a big influence on its users, especially with the emergence of online gaming applications in smartphones. Gameonline is one of the things that are popular among gadget users, this can be seen with the emergence of various types of online games on the smartphone. With the presence of online games and excessive use will cause concern, especially on changes in attitudes and behavior patterns of its users. This research aims to find out and provide an overview of how the behavior patterns of Untad communication science students in doing activities to play Gameonline. Research methods use qualitative methods. Data collection techniques are in observations and depth interviews. The results showed that the behavior patterns of gameonline users showed significant changes, behavior patterns formed provided changes that are different from the previous one. Of course, this change in behavior patterns when they have known and started addicted to playing online games so that the changes that appear to change their daily habits.

Abstract

The College Library was established to support academic needs both for the internal public and the external public of the college itself. However, the development of communication technology has made the interest in reading students in college libraries decrease. Therefore college libraries must implement the right strategies to increase students' reading interest in the library. Through this study, researchers found the influence of marketing communication strategies carried out by lecturers (variable x) on students' reading interest (variable y) by 72%. This shows that lecturers should also provide socialization and direction to students related to the importance of reading reference sources from campus libraries by telling interesting things so that students' reading interest in college libraries increases librarians in college libraries can make lecturers as co-workers in carrying out lecturer marketing communication strategies considering are individuals whose daily life is more interact with students so that lecturers have an important role in carrying out library marketing communication to students.

Abstract

The Covid-19 vaccination rate continues to increase, it is important to pay attention to the possibility of a breakthrough infection, which is a viral infection that occurs after a person has been vaccinated. This is a case that is expected to occur in some of those who have received the vaccine, as no vaccine for any disease is 100 percent effective. During the time of living in this period of the Covid-19 pandemic, people are always exposed to information about the dangers or threats of exposure to the virus, known as health risk messages. This study was conducted to explain how a number of individual characteristics in the health risk message information environment correlate to their attitudes towards the risk of exposing Covid-19. This online survey of people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine found that several variables related to lifestyle and disease history were correlated to perceptions of the risk of exposure to Covid-19. It also confirms that there is a positive correlation between awareness of the amount of risk an individual has and perceptions of the risk of exposing Covid-19.

Abstract

The spread of the Corona Virus (covid 19) in Indonesia is increasing. Throughout 2020 the number of confirmed positive increases every day to reach hundreds of thousands of people. In Central Sulawesi, the number of confirmed positive fluctuates so that it becomes a serious concern for local governments. In a crisis situation, the provincial government has also taken a number of steps in terms of handling covid 19, especially in minimizing public concerns and anxiety in dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic. Crisis communication facing the Covid-1 pandemic in 2020. At the beginning of the emergence of Covid 19. The results of this study indicate that the Public Relations of Central Sulawesi Province has done a number of things, especially in the pre-crisis, during the crisis and a number of planning steps in the post-crisis. Abstract

The process of acculturation runs very quickly or slowly depending on the perception of the local community towards the incoming foreign culture. The purpose of the study is to find out the cultural acculturation and symbolic meaning of dero dance. Research methods use a qualitative approach, with a single case study design. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study that dero dance has a common meaning as a form of gratitude and a sense of community unity regardless of social strata but the meaning and value shifted due to the acculturation of foreign cultures using modern music collaborated with other cultures. The special meaning of the dero dance movement is a simple and simultaneous presentation of motion in doing and has its attraction that can give suggestions and feel the desire of everyone to participate in doing dero dance moves. This type of dance is a popular traditional dance that can be followed and pulled with the whole community in the event of a traditional party and dero dance is a social dance from various circles considering that this dero dance aims to unite the movement. Dero dance is performed at the traditional ceremony of the wedding and thanksgiving party. The meaning of the floor pattern of the circle shape that is not broken and well maintained as a form of mutual help.

Abstract

Pillars of democracy, transparency and good governance are the objectives of public information services carried out, through Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure. The form of service organized by the Government is a service in an effort to meet the needs of the public or the community. Communication, Public information is information generated, stored, managed, sent, and / or received by a public body, this research is a qualitative approach, a research paradigm to describe events, locus research located in the Department of Communication and Informatics Donggala Regency, this study uses Informants as many as 4 (four) people, using the theory of Pararusman, et al .Tjiptnono, 1996) there are five dimensions in assessing the quality of services or services, namely, Tangibles, Realibility, Responsiveness, Assurance, Emphathy. 1) Tangibles; reflected in physical facilities, equipment, personnel and communication materials have not been effective and optimal.2) Realibility, i.e. lack of accuracy or lack of reliable information. Responsiveness: lack of sensitivity to respond to information. 4) Assurance; Knowledge is less effective and efficient. 5) Emphathy. Abstract

Language is present as a medium to understand each other. However, for the Cia-Cia Laporo community, language is not only a means of communication but also as a medium to gain strength in asserting ethnic identity and as citizens of Laporo descent. This essay aims to describe and to know the position of language as a form of Cia-Cia Laporo's identity. Awareness of the importance of the regional language is then applied in daily life through formal learning methods in schools as well as various traditions and rituals such as sindighao.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem of this research, namely how the forms and constraints of the ability to learn speaking through audio-visual videos in group B2 TK Kemala Bhayangkari Palu students and the purpose of this study, are to describe the forms and constraints of learning ability to speak through audio-visual videos in group B2 TK Kemala students. Bhayangkari Palu. The method used is a qualitative research method. The object of this research is the students of group B2 Kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari Palu. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the form of learning to speak through audio-visual videos for group B2 Tk Kemala Bhayangkari Palu students is carried out through the following stages: providing learning materials, preparing various alternative media: Whatsapp Group, Youtube, and Zoom, monitoring, and uploading materials. learning in the form of tutorials, videos, student worksheets to media that have been determined or mutually agreed upon. The obstacles found by the teacher in learning speaking based on audio-visual videos for group B2 students were: (1) lack of parental assistance, (2) internet signal/connection, (3) teachers could not interact directly. With regard to the results of the study, the authors suggest that teachers can improve their competence in making innovations that can support the improvement of students' speaking skills by developing good plans for the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover and interpret the process of media transformation through the practice of Palu's online Alkhairaat media newsroom (MAL). This research uses qualitative methods with ethnographic approaches. Research data is obtained through interviews, documentation and field records. Allows researchers to experience routines and interact with journalists in the newsroom. Data analysis is focused on the process of transformation by applying media convergence, particularly to work culture in newsroom practice. The results showed that the transformation process that took place in the editorial room of Alkhairaat media (MAL) online by applying media convergence, namely: (1) Full digitization, where the process of production and distribution of news in Alkhairaat media becomes fully digital. (2) The work culture in the newsroom changes the deadlines and rhythms of journalists' work to be faster. Editorial meetings are conducted online, where journalists, designers, editors collaborate in one online news content production space. There is also a process of sharing content between MAL and Radio Alkhairaat, both of these media under ownership. Share content in the form of re-pack. (3) MAL editors convergecontent, news is presented in multimedia form combined in the form of text, images, audio and video.

Abstract

In a marketing, perceived quality holds an important role. If what consumer perceived about the product is same with the quality of product itself, that is it can affect the level of consumer satisfaction when they consume a product / service. As well in the news industry, perceived quality also affects reader satisfaction and inturn they will reread through the media. Kompas, as one of media industry in Indonesia now also using some channel to spread its information through television channel called Kompas TV and online channel called Kompas.com. Each channel has its advantages and disadvantages as a news channel. This study tries to compare the perceived quality of millennials generation in Yogyakarta toward these two channels in packaging their news. Thus study uses a survey method by asking 100 respondents. The result of this study show that Kompas TV is perceived better than Kompas.com. Mean value of Kompas TV is 34.63 > 34.16 for mean value of Kompas.com. Kompas TV is perceived as media which can provide visual evidence better than Kompas.com with mean value of Kompas TV is 3.30 > 3.14 for Kompas.com meanwhile, Kompas.com is perceived as a channel which can provide variety of viewpoints in each news report with mean value is 3.06 > 2.99 Kompas TV.
