Abstract

Presidential election is a form of democracy that is implemented in Indonesia. In this case, the community responds with various perceptions. People's attitudes in responding to the presidential election that will be held in 2024 have various kinds. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with interview techniques with informants, namely the people of Jembeng Village, Slahung District. The use of this method as a way to strengthen the data that will be obtained by researchers. And the use of the documentation method is to match the findings in the field with community responses. The results of this study are the people of Jebeng Village, Slahung District, know about the presidential election through billboards that are installed on the side of the road. The public also has knowledge about the 2024 presidential election and the chances of a candidate pair winning.

Abstract

This study discusses the film Bumi Manusia with the historical, colonial and historical genres that have their own artistic appearance, this film carries the value of feminism in representing women. This feminist ideology gives rise to awareness of the desire of women from all walks of life to get the same rights as men and to be free from acts of racism, stereotypes, hegemony, domination and violence that are widely practiced in society. The purpose of the study was to determine how the representation of colonial women's feminism is depicted in the character of Nyai Ontosoroh in the film Bumi Manusia. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis. Data analysis techniques by collecting and analyzing data, categorizing subject-object positions, conducting Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis and making conclusions based on the results of the analysis. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the representation of women in the character of Nyai Ontosoroh in the film Bumi Manusia, where it is stated that women are depicted through the subject position held by other characters in the film, the director or the writer of the adaptation of the film which is a novel with the same title. Women are represented as having courage that is in line with the values ??of feminism itself. There are several parties who try to destroy the feminist agent in women, which triggers resistance from parties who have the same school of thought and understanding. Nyai Ontosoroh has great courage to oppose the injustices that continue to come to her. The courage shown actually has a positive value, but many parties oppose this courage. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang film Bumi Manusia dengan genre historikal, kolonial maupunsejarah memiliki tampilan seni tersendiri, film ini mengusung nilai feminisme dalammerepresentasikan perempuan. Ideologi feminisme ini melahirkan kesadaran atas suatukeinginan para perempuan dari semua kalangan untuk mendapatkan hak yang sama dengan paralaki-laki dan dapat terbebas dari tindakan resisme, stereotip, hegemoni, dominasi dan kekerasanyang banyak dipraktekan pada masyarakat umum. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahuibagaimana representasi feminisme perempuan masa kolonial yang digambarkan pada karakterNyai Ontosoroh dalam film Bumi Manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatifdeskriptif dengan analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills. Teknik analisis data dengan carapengumpulan dan analisis data, mengkategorikan posisi subjek-objek, melakukan analisiswacana kritis Sara Mills dan membuat kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil analisis, Dari hasilpenelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa representasi perempuan pada karakter Nyai Ontosorohdalam film Bumi Manusia, dimana dinyatakan bahwa perempuan digambarkan melalui posisisubyek yang dipegang oleh karakter lain pada film, sutradara ataupun penulis karya adaptasidari film tersebut yang merupakan novel dengan judul sama. Perempuan direpresentasikanmemiliki keberanian yang sejalur dengan nilai feminisme itu sendiri. Terdapat beberapa pihakyang mencoba untuk menghancurkan agen feminisme pada perempuan, yang memicuperlawanan dari pihak-pihak yang memiliki aliran dan pemahaman yang sama. Nyai Ontosorohmemiliki keberanian yang besar untuk menentang ketidakadilan-ketidakadilan yang terusmenerus datang padanya. Keberanian yang ditunjukkan sejatinya memiliki nilai yang positif,namun banyak pihak yang menentang keberanian tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan status desa menjadi kelurahan yang terjadi dalam masyarakat sekarang ini tidaklah sejalan dengan organisasi desa yang telah ada dan terbentuk di Kabupaten Garut Provinsi Jawa Barat. Di mana masyarakat membutuhkan pelayanan yang lebih baik yang didukung dengan kualitas teknologi serta sarana prasarana yang memadai. Hal ini merupakan mula dimana studi perubahan status desa menjadi kelurahan perlu dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori pengembangan organisasi yang dikembangkan oleh Fernandes Simangunsong (2014)dengan harapan dapat memberikan pelayanan yang lebih baik serta maksimal untuk masyarakat di Kabupaten Garut. Metode atau teknik yang kami gunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan pendekatan secara deskriptif yang mampu memberikan gambaran secara sistematis dari suatu fenomena yang ada secara detail, teliti dan bersifat nyata. Data-data yang kami gunakan juga berasal dari jurnal, buku, maupun internet. Oleh karena itu, studi perubahan status desa menjadi kelurahan ini memberikan gambaran mengenai ada atau tidak adanya sebuah perencanaan dalam mengubah status desa di Kabupaten Garut menjadi kelurahan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between locus of control and coping strategies with academic procrastination of final year students. This study used a correlational quantitative approach involving 138 participants. The criteria for respondents in this study were active final year students (semester 7 and above) at universities in Indonesia and were working on a thesis. There are 3 measuring instruments used, namely The Multidimensional Locus of Control IPC Scale (2011), Academic Coping Strategy Scale (2017), and Academic Procrastination Scale (2020). The results of this study indicate a positive relationship (the direction of the relationship is directly proportional) between locus of control and academic procrastination and a negative relationship (the direction of the relationship is inversely proportional) between coping strategies and academic procrastination. Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of self-efficacy in innovative work behavior among employees of PT Polytama Propindo, a manufacturing industry. The respondents in this study consist of 105 permanent employees of PT Polytama Propindo who have been working for at least one year and are aged between 25 and 65 years old. This is a quantitative research with two measurement instruments adapted into Indonesian: the General Self-Efficacy (GSE) scale to measure self-efficacy and the Individual Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) scale to measure innovative work behavior. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results of this study show that self-efficacy plays a significant role in innovative work behavior (R2Â = 0.291, Sig. = 0.000). This indicates that self-efficacy accounts for 29.1% of the variance in employee's innovative work behavior. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the existing literature on innovative work behavior among employees and serve as a reference for companies to enhance their employee's self-efficacy. Abstract

This article reviews in depth how propaganda is carried out by the Sinaloa Cartel in Latin America, in general this paper examines more deeply using the Jowett & Donell approach to Propaganda and Persuasion. The main purpose of this paper is to find out the propaganda carried out by Sinaloa. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach, the main finding of this paper is that propaganda was successfully carried out by Sinaloa to strengthen its existence in Latin America, propaganda was carried out using images of violence and cruelty, the media often used were Tiktok, Narcobanners and Narcocorridos, the effectiveness of this propaganda turned out to be successful. Abstract

The phenomenon of international migration is influenced by many factors, one of which is the need for labor. Labor is an important element in economic activities because labor plays a role in the stages of production and industry. For a large country like Canada, labor is very important as a maintainer of the quality and quantity of its workforce. However, maintaining a stable workforce is difficult due to problems related to wages and the workforce. Therefore, concrete policies and steps are needed as a prevention or solution to the decline in the number of workers in Canada. And one of them is through international migration. By using a qualitative descriptive method, this study will briefly explain the problems raised through a neoclassical economic perspective as the author's point of view. Abstract

The relationship between the US, China, and ASEAN as regional cooperation covers a wide range of aspects of international relations. Although the aspect of security and finance are considered as traditionally the largest aspect of the cooperation. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic brings one more aspect to this relationship. The covid-19 pandemic is also showing the rivalry between two major powers now, China and the United States. The question is then where ASEAN will stand in this contestation. The US has been playing a role as a crucial partner for ASEAN and its member states, but in recent decades, some people argue that ASEAN is growing more preference to China. Some argue that the historical, cultural, and geographical proximity led ASEAN members to be close to China, others argue that Chinese financial and investment supports are more accessible than the ones from the Western world including the US. Some argue that ASEAN is openly embracing Chinese influence in the region because China does not bother with any issues regarding human rights, something that ASEAN member states’ government are reluctant to deal with. For ASEAN, under the mixture of the situation of China-US rivalry, the global pandemic, and domestic problems that occurred in each member states, what should ASEAN do? How the pandemic weighs in the US-China-ASEAN relationship? This study is examining the policies of ASEAN regarding the rivalry between the US and China during the time of the Covid 19 pandemic. I argue that ASEAN will not move away from its original position to stay neutral. And at the same time, ASEAN will also apply the non-interference policies toward its member states to conduct their own bilateral relations with the US and China. These policies are also applied for their policies regarding Covid-19 vaccines. Most ASEAN member states are buying Covid-19 vaccines from China. This study limits the examination only from the perspectives of ASEAN as regional cooperation and ASEAN member states toward US-China dynamics relations during the pandemi.
