Parametric design is a new architectural design approach which is developing for the last decade. This development is supported by the advance of digital architecture technology, allowing designers to engage in complex geometry modelling and design optimization efficiently using parametric design software. One of parametric design software, Rhinoceros-Grasshopper, has been interconnected to several building simulation packages, which gives new usefulness for architectural design process. Parametric design is likely to be a standard skill that should be possessed by Architect in the future. This study discusses parametric design application for architectural design process and its trend for the context of architectural education in Indonesia. It aims to give a strategy and model instruction for parametric design teaching, especially in the university level. Literature review and Youtube Channel exploration were conducted to discuss the implementation of parametric design. In order to examine the trend of parametric design in Indonesia, the data analysis was conducted based on channel analytics from one of Youtube channel promoting parametric design and survey aiming architecture lecturer.

This study aims to discuss the extent to which the spatial transformation due to the renovation of cultural heritage buildings can affect the physical building and the user's territory, as well as its influence on the concept of architecture as the language of development. This study uses a qualitative method. Data was collected by field observations, interviews, and literature review. The sampling was carried out using a non-random or purposive type of sample. The results of the analysis show that there has been a physical and territorial transformation in Gedung Sate, Bandung as an effect of the construction of the Gedung Sate Museum. The control role of stakeholders also greatly influences the extent to which this transformation takes place. Not only interior elements, space layouts, as well as facade elements, and user territories have changed. Furthermore, the existing transformation more or less also affects development in the Gedung Sate area, and for the city of Bandung in general. Where the role of Gedung Sate's architecture is now becoming broader and more abstract. Not only becomes an artifact, but also becomes something more economic and commercial (commodification).

This study aims to examine the comfort performance of the prayer room of the Great Mosque of Pati based on applicable theories and standards, then design based on the results of a comfort study to get a prayer room design that meets the comfort criteria for its users. The research was conducted by dividing the prayer room into 16 points. At each point, 3 measurements are carried out, namely thermal, lighting, and noise measurements both in the morning, afternoon, afternoon, and evening. From the measurement results, it is known that the average temperature in the worship room is 27.4 °C, meaning that the temperature is hotter than the standard of comfort (<27 °C). The average exposure is 103.5 lux, meaning the lighting is darker than required (200 lux). The use of shadow puppets as an object in the formation of an architectural design has been widely used. This is due to the elements of meaning and description and the philosophy closely related to Javanese society. Of the several case studies that have been found, most still focus on the form of shadow puppet and have not focused on the use of meaning as the main focus, so further studies are needed on the use of the appearance and meaning of shadow puppet in architectural forms. Qualitative methods are used by performing typology and semantic processes based on the Gestalt similarity principle to form meaning and rereading new meanings into form to form design elements. The results showed that the Pandava shadow puppets can be used as an object that allows it to use in forming architectural design elements based on visual typology and semantics of meaning.

Old buildings in big cities, began to be looked at by architects for reuse. In addition to having historical value, using old buildings also saves material exploration. The use of recycled buildings has its own charm for visitors, because it can bring to the atmosphere of the past. The high interest of the public to visit the old building does not guarantee repeated re-visits, due to the factor of a sense of attachment to the place (place attachment). Attachment to one place needs to be considered to maintain the continuity of activities. This study aims to determine the relationship of place attachment to the interest in visitor arrivals in old buildings that have been converted. The object of the study was conducted in recycled buildings in the city of Jakarta, namely M Bloc Space, Kapitan Lim, and Pantjoran Tea House. This research uses non-experimental quantitative correlation research methods. Data is collected through questionnaires to visitors, then analyzed with a descriptive approach. The results of the study stated that there is a very close relationship between the attachment of the place to the interest in visiting the building. The results of this study can be considered for planning and designing a function transfer building.

The development of a city can be influenced by several things, including the geographical location and the condition of the natural resources of the region or area, one example is the city of Balikpapan whose development was initiated by the presence of petroleum natural resources, so that until now the city of Balikpapan is still known as "Oil City". Another advantage that makes the development of the city of Balikpapan is faster because it is supported by the geographical condition of the city of Balikpapan so that it becomes more strategic and is used as a stopover place both between cities and between provinces. As a stopover, the characteristics that can become the identity of a region are very important. To realize this, this research was carried out, using descriptive and qualitative methods in analysis and discussion. From the results of the analysis, it is known that it is necessary to maintain the physical form of an area, especially those that have historical values in the course of city development, one of which is by revitalizing and conserving areas in the city.
