Abstract

One of solutions to reduce traffic problems on Jl.AP.Pettarani is the separation of paths based on their functions (fast and slow lanes) or called separators. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of traffic at the separator openings, the effect of the length of the separator openings on the degree of saturation and braid velocity at the separator openings. The performance of the separator openings based on IHCM 1997 on Jl. AP.Pettarani (direction of Sultan Alauddin - Tol Reformasi) during the morning and evening peak hours are seen in the Bina Marga segment separator openings with each degree of saturation values of 2,054 and 2,113, the opposite direction, Mitsubishi segment separator has the greatest degree of saturation at morning peak hour and in the afternoon, 1,893 and 1,980 respectively. The addition of the length of the separator opening results in better weaving performance and the weaving speed will increase.

Abstract

The selection of structural material types can be based on analyzing the behavioral of the structure by giving a nonlinear dynamic earthquake load of time history. Because in Indonesia doesn’t have any data of time history record, it is necessary to match the time history data with the design spectrum response. Gedung E ITERA is modeled on reinforced concrete structures and steel structures with open frame models for the same as built drawing. Then can be evaluated the structural behavior that is like mass participation, plastic design, displacement, rotation, and base shear with time history load that will be levelling (levelling time history). With levelling the time history load , it can be found the first structural part that collapses and the maximum load that can be retained by the structure for one of the mitigation effort. The analysis uses a nonlinear dynamic time history analysis with the most dominant combination is earthquake combination. The results of this study show the differences in structural performance, the location of structural failure, and the maximum load that can be retained by the reinforced concrete structure and steel structure of gedung E Itera.

Abstract

The developing of infrastructure and residential areas have a relative impact on traffic. The increasing number of the volume of traffic is directly proportional to the increasing number of an accident.  Based on the data from Polda Jawa Timur, in 2014 namely 26 bicycle accidents and increased to 36 bicycle accidents in the year 2015, while in 2016 was decreased, namely to 24 bicycle accidents. To get a better understanding about bicycle accidnets, this study was conducted to know characteristic of traffic accident involving bicycle users in Surabaya. The method of analysis used is descriptive analysis frequency to find characteristic bicycle users involved accident and the characteristics of accidents involving bicycle users. Generalized linear model to make an accident prediction model that can happen on condition geometric and the traffic particular. Primary data consisting of the volume of traffic , speed and geometric conditions in the study locations. Secondary data obtained from related institution which is from Polda Jawa Timur, Bappeda Surabaya , and Dinas Perhubungan in Surabaya City. The analysis said that accident occurs has the majority of bicycle users involved accident in the city surabaya is man by 69,9% with age 15-20 year by 14,6 % and have a job as private sector workers. While characteristic of accidents involving bicycle users in the Surabaya is happening most in 06.00-11.59 WIB about 37,6 % with the double accident. Then the majority of injury was minor injuries at 38,2 % with a loss of < Rp. 200.000 at a good. An accident prediction model in Surabaya is McA = McA= 1,061  where: McA = number of accidents, Flow = traffic ( smp / hours ).

Abstract

The infrastructure development raises the potential of old building destruction and demolition. This fact will results an environmental damage if construction waste is not being properly utilized. One type of construction waste that can be utilized is concrete waste. To apply sustainable development, concrete waste can be reused and recycled into aggregate in the form of RCA (Recycled Coarse Aggregate). Natural Coarse Aggregates (NCA) and RCA are processed into 0.5-1 cm, 1-2 cm, and 0.5-2 cm sizes and later mixed with cement paste into porous or pervious concrete. Porous concrete is a non-structural concrete which is water-permeable and has large pores. This study aims to determine the effect of RCA on the velue of concrete compressive strength, the most optimal concrete variation, and the influence of void ratio and permeability to the compressive strength of porous concrete. The result reported that RCA affects the compressive strength,, it can be proven that any variation of aggregate size, concrete variation with 0% RCA has the higher value than the 100% RCA one. The optimum concrete condition is in variation of 50% RCA at aggregate size 0.5-2 cm. The compressive strength value is 10.211 MPa. This is due to the more diverse aggregates affecting the concrete density. The larger the pores of the concrete (void ratio), the permeability value will be higher and the higher void ratio and permeability of concrete, the value of the compressive strength of porous concrete will be lower.

Abstract

To find out the quality of concrete, we need to test the concrete. Which is non destructive test  or testing without damaging the test object, namely with an UPV (Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity). In this study using 4 variations of coarse aggregate composition (mix design), namely porous variation, RCA (Recycled Coarse Aggregate) variation, pumice variation and fiber variation. The UPV test results in this study show that the relationship of compressive strength with amplitude (A1) or transmission time (t0) is concluded that the low homogeneity value causes higher energy loss so the amplitude value becomes lower and the value transmission time depends on the density of the concrete. In the value of compressive strength that affects homogeneity, it does not mean the higher the uniform material (homogeneity), the higher the compressive strength value.  Keywords: Amplitude, Concrete, Compressive Strength, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity, Transmission Time

Abstract

Technology improvement gives positive impacts on increasing transportation mode. But it has a negative impact such as traffic jam and increasing number in traffic accident, so road safety issues must be a common concern. One of the efforts to prevent tha accident is to identify accident-prone areas as a warning system for user. Eleven road sections in Malang District and supported data from Satkorlantas Polres Malang District is used as scope of discussion in this study. In this study, the factors that caused accidents such as road characteristic, geometric and environment condition is used for identifcation the accident-prone area. Based on the data, database mapping was done and the pattern of potential accident-prone areas was determined. It can be used for analysis and decision. Mapping and testing process uses a neural network approach because the accuracy of this method has been already proven in various applications. The results approach on prone area identification indicates a precision with a variance of 0.15% in compare with accident-based data analysis through the validation process. This result shows that neural network approach can be used to identify the accident-prone areas as one of the solution in accident prevention and efforts in road safety improvement.
