Abstract

One of solutions to reduce traffic problems on Jl.AP.Pettarani is the separation of paths based on their functions (fast and slow lanes) or called separators. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of traffic at the separator openings, the effect of the length of the separator openings on the degree of saturation and braid velocity at the separator openings. The performance of the separator openings based on IHCM 1997 on Jl. AP.Pettarani (direction of Sultan Alauddin - Tol Reformasi) during the morning and evening peak hours are seen in the Bina Marga segment separator openings with each degree of saturation values of 2,054 and 2,113, the opposite direction, Mitsubishi segment separator has the greatest degree of saturation at morning peak hour and in the afternoon, 1,893 and 1,980 respectively. The addition of the length of the separator opening results in better weaving performance and the weaving speed will increase.

Abstract

The side obstacle factor is one of the causes of traffic congestion which can affect the level of service of a road. Where congestion is a traffic flow problem caused by an increase in the volume of vehicles on a road section and by side obstacles. The aim is to determine the traffic flow and the impact of side obstacles on the degree of saturation on the Perintis Kemerdekaan road km.8 using the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) in 1997. Based on the calculation and analysis of data obtained the largest traffic flow on Monday, namely 1686.41 SMP / hour, the biggest side obstacle on Saturday is 502.4 and the highest degree of saturation is obtained on Monday afternoon at 0.78 which is where the flow is close to unstable at certain peak hours where the greater the side obstacles the greater the degree of saturation.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic affects the mobility of the people of Makassar City in particular, so the local government has made several policies to reduce the potential for the spread of disease outbreaks, one of which is the new normal so that it can affect the performance of these roads which have high activity. This study aims to determine the performance of urban sections during the new normal period and the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual, 1997 method is used as a reference. Increasing traffic flow decreases the average space velocity and but increases the density value and the degree of saturation, this decreases the segment performance. The lower the average spatial velocity the higher the density value. With the alternative of increasing the performance of the section, it can increase the level of road service to C at the highest flow and speed, reduce the density and degree of saturation.

Abstract

Several factors that can affect road damage are excessive traffic load, temperature (weather), water, and pavement construction that does not meet the technical requirements. The durability of an asphalt mixture is the resistance of the mixture to the effects of water, water vapor, and temperature. A mixture with a high durability value provides a good mix quality and long-term use. The purpose of this study was to determine the durability of the AC-BC mixture using Mount Baba stone. The general specifications of Bina Marga in 2018 are the reference in this study. By using the standard Marshall test method, the results obtained through the Marshall AC-BC mixture immersion test with a duration of immersion time of 0.5 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours, 48 hours, 60 hours with a durability value of 95.49% - 86.99%. The increase in immersion time causes a decrease in the durability of the mixture.
