Abstract

Indonesia is a country which has plastic waste problem. Based on BPS’s (1999) data shows that in 1995 volume of import plastic trade in Indonesia especially polipropilena (PP) is 136,122.7 tons whereas in 1999 is 182,523.6 tons. Thus, in that particular time the volume of import plastic trade increases up to 34.15 %. In this case, we create a new innovation in the form of injection molding machine to overcome plastic waste problem. Injection molding machine is a waste processor machine which change plastic waste from solid form into fluidaform then take it into a mold by using screw. Moreover, Injection molding machine could change plastic waste becomes valuable commercial products. One of the products is bird cage. In this case, it helps the bird cage maker to overcome the scarcity of rattan and the explosion volume of plastic waste.Keywords: plastic waste, injection molding machine, product, and bird cage.

Abstract

ASEAN Economic Community is a regional economic integration to envision ASEAN as a single market production base. AEC can increase Indonesia’s export and introduce our culture, but it can ruin Indonesia’s economy if UKM doesn’t ready to face it. To help this problem, people need to enhance UKM’s prospects by increasing the usage of technology. This time, our partner is carved helmet UKM from Kotagede which represent creativity, art, and high quality aesthetic of Indonesia. Sadly, there is a problem happening to our partner. It is on the lenght of time and size of power needed to produce a plain helmet as the material for carved helmet since it’s still produced traditionally. Due to that problem, we offer a semi automatic process machine which called I-PAPS “INOVASI PROSES AUTOMASI PRODUKSI DENGAN PRESS SYSTEM” As the Solution for Carved Helmet UKM from Indonesia Lead to ASEAN Economic Community 2015. This Press Machine will shape the plate of aluminium as the basic material to a plain helmet. This press machine works based on hidraulic system and accretion of calor. This hidraulic system works when the handle ismoved up and downto give more pressure so the shape of helmet can be formed to the basic material. With the same length of time with making a plain helmet manually, I-PAPS is able to increase productivity and produce seven plain helmet. Furthermore, we hope this machine can solve our partner’s problem and help our partner to thrive, and also our long-term goal is to increase our partner’s opportunity to compete in international market, especially to face AEC 2015.Keywords: Carved helmet from Indonesia, Press Machine, ASEAN Economic Community

Abstract

The separation process of mineral glass lid on SME (UKM) partner still use manuallly method, it uses a razor blade. The purpose of this program (PKM – T) is to improve efficiency and effectiveness in separating process so that its productivity can be increased. This machine has easy operation, by pressing ON if it is being used and pressing OFF after using it. The method offered by our team to solve the problems uses several stages. Formulating the problems then create the machine, trial and repair it, training and maintenance it. The last is acceptance and monitoring. Based on the activities that have been done on schedule, our team can create separator machine with capacity 25 kg/h. It is quite practical and efficient to operate. The conclusion is the capacity of separation process 50 kg/ h by using this machine or increase from the previous capacity using conventional method, 25 kg/h. It means it will increase the price of the mineral glass and reduce the energy used for separation process.Keywords: Mineral water glass, separation, capacity

Abstract

Fire is a disaster that can happen anytime and anywhere. Real measurement of the fire problem is that it generates a loss. Such losses may be direct or indirect damage that can not be repaired. Many companies that went bankrupt after the great fire, although the company has sufficient insurance to cover the losses, as the company was unable to regain market share lost when the factory shut down. Therefore, developed a tool PASOPATI, Portable Automatic Water Foam Monitor is easy and safe to operate. ATMega 32 is used as a control that is able to receive instructions from the remote control and additional motor driver for controlling the movement of the tool. The result is a tool PASOPATI can be controlled with a remote control with a distance of about 50 meters, so that the safety of the operator is awake and able to optimize operator firefighters to evacuate the victims. Abstract

Our lives are now so dependent on electricity. Loss of electricity could cause our lives could not walk normally. Various aspects of life becomes blocked, either from our daily lives to efforts that require electrical energy. The high cost of electricity tariff barriers add to the long facing entrepreneurs. Chicken farm is one of the types of businesses that require a constant electrical energy, in case of rolling blackouts it will directly affect the production process. In addition, the location of the chicken farm that is usually placed at distant places, also very influential on the continuous supply of electrical energy. Hybrid power plant technology is the right solution to respond all these problems. The plant can harness the energy that is around us, such as wind and sunlight. Then make it a stable supply of electrical energy, constant, and environment friendly. Hybrid plant is capable of producing electrical energy 12 kWh / day while the partner needs to reach 5.31 kWh / day and a chicken farmer can save electricity cost of Rp. 173,600 / month. With the results of the application of Hybrid Generating proven to reduce production costs by utilizing renewable energy on a chicken farm village Sukonolo Malang, so that energy independence can be achieved.Keywords: Electrical energy, chicken farms, hybrid power plants.

Abstract

Communication is a fundamental human need to interact with each other. For children with special needs, particularly children with hearing impairment, communication becomes very important because they must to learn to communicate harder than a normal child. In SLB Karnna Manohara articulation mirror used as a device to train children with hearing impairment in communication, especially in terms of language expression. But the device is less effective because the size is large and not portable. The purpose of this program is implementation Electronic Portable Articulation Mirror (EPAM) which is a modification of a large mirror articulation into a portable, practical and more effective. Implementation of this program is done through several steps, they are observation, device improvements, feasibility test (calibration), evaluation and revision, application of device, and evaluation. The results of this program are EPAM design that consists of a mirror, an LCD display, a control menu, sound indicator light, power indicator light, power button, display baterray checker, 3.5 mm audio port, audio port 7 mm, charger port, speakers, headsets, and microphone. Then for the implementation of EPAM in speech therapy business unit of SLB Karnna Manohara has succeeded in increasing the expression of language ability of deaf children to gain (g) 0.72 and increased capacity with high criteria.Keywords : articulation portable electronic mirror, children with hearing impairment, language expression

Abstract

Plumbon Gambang Jombang known as a center for craft beads SMEs (Small Medium Enterprises) in Indonesia. The problem faced by SMEs is the need for raw materials are depleted Duralex. As for the glass waste from cups, plates and other can not be formed (hard) not like Duralex glass. It is necessary for designing technologies for the sustainable raw material beads tens of SMEs in Plumbon Gambang. This program will result in the design of raw materials back, without using Duralex glass former but using ordinary glass and fused alumina as a softener and bleach with the composition of cullet (broken glass) 92% by weight of alumina and 8%, both of which are easily obtainable materials. With this program can ease the burden on small industries in order to increase revenue and continuity of production capacity as well as a discourse for small industries. Based on the analysis, the economic potential of the resulting products can compete with previously. Viewed from the side of science and technology, there are two value-added, technology design that is appropriate raw materials and the utilization of waste glass as the embodiment of green product. The method used was a survey, identification of problems, the study of literature, designing the composition of raw materials, the manufacture of glass beads, prototype testing, manufacturing and evaluation modules. Abstract

Plastic waste is a global-scale environmental issues since it is very difficult to disen tangle. According to UNNES data research team in 2010, the amount of garbage volume in the area and its surrounding is 20 m3 / day, and 3% of it is plastic which is very difficult to be unraveled. The solution toward the case so far is by burning; meanwhile, it can result pollutants that can damage the environment, such as NOx, SOx, CO, and others. Hence, the need for solution that is more promising and prospecting by recycling plastic into alternative fuel. The method we use in this program is identifying the problem and its solution. Identification of problems which we conclude is designing a plastic treatment plant to be alternative fuel. Then, we do manufacture and assemble equipment. After that, we perform testing and analysis and draw conclusions. This machine is made with a production capacity of 0.5 liters / 30 minutes, with a length of 1 m, width 0.35 m, height 1.35 m. The advantage of the existence of this machine is environmentally friendly, safe, and having large capacity so that it can reduce the waste of plastic that causes pollution in the environment and the surrounding of Banaran TPS.Keywords: Processing, plastic waste, alternative fuel

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of Indonesia. However, dosmetic rice production can not be relied upon to meet the amount of national food needs. The demands of the nations consumption of rice per capita forcing Indonesia to import rice. In long term, it is feared Indonesian addicted to another country so that national food self-sufficiency can not be realized. Therefore, efforts should be made to increase domestic rice production. The application of technology tools and agricultural machinery is needed to develop agriculture in Indonesia. ARIT (Automatic Rice Transplanter) comes to be the answer. ARIT is a tool or a rice-planting machine designed with innovative technology. Agricultural productivity in Indonesia is less well with the majority of farmers who had been elderly and the limited number of rice planter labor, do not be a significant constraint again with this technology. ARIT making farmers work become more effective and efficient with higher productivity. Currently, the initial target is ARIT invention can help solve three fundamental problems being faced by our client, Kelompok Tani Makmur Cokrobedog which is in Godean, Yogyakarta. The majority of Godean farmers who had been elderly, the number of rice planter labor in Godean which is increasingly rare, and low rate of farmer regeneration can be solved through the application of ARIT in the client regions.Keywords: Rice, national food needs, agricultural productivity, rice transplanter

Abstract

Banturejo village is a village in the region Ngantang, Malang regency, East Java, province of Indonesia which has agricultural commodities, livestock and fisheries abundance, as well as close to the tourist sites, namely Selorejo Lake. Fishery commodities is the flagship of the village Banturejo and continue to develop. Besides fish produced from reservoirs, currently there are many citizens who do catfish farming. Catfish are sold directly for consumption and sale around Selorejo Lake. The existence of a superior product for souvenirs can be used as a complement to visitors for souvenirs. Women Cooperative (Kopwan) Heroine is located in the village Banturejo, Ngantang, Malang capture this business opportunity by processing the fish into shredded fish sources. Shredded fish introduced by the consideration that the processed products have a good chance to be a typical souvenirs Selorejo Lake is a high chance. Making shredded fish produced by Heroine Kopwan still using the conventional method is very simple and the result is still a lot of oil content in the floss. In addition, the production capacity of 10 kg of shredded fish is only able to meet 25% of consumer demand. "Oil Pulling Spinner" is a creative solution that is applied to overcome the problems of partners, as means to alleviate the oil in the manufacture of food products. In this case, the resulting product "Spinner Pulling Oil" can be applied in the elaboration of fishing effort through the harness spinner shredded products especially in Women Cooperative Heroine, Banturejo Village, Ngantang, Malang. Thus, expected by the "Oil Pulling Spinner" can explore fishery resources in the village Banturejo and is expected to improve the welfare of society. Spinner Tool Oil Pulling can set rotation (rpm) tool automatically and optimally to reduce the oil in a shredded. For the introduction and marketing tool widely shredded products, publications done using print, electronic and online.
