Abstract

Pocut Meurah Intan Forest Park is a natural conservation area and a place of learning, however this condition has changed in line with the high activity of local residents such as illegal logging, forest conversion, wildlife hunting and forest burning. This study aims to determine the types of birds of the Bucerotidae family in the Pocut Meurah Intan Forest Park Ecosystem as a support material for Ecology courses. The method used in this study is the explorative survey method. As the result, this study found 4 (four) bird species from the family Bucerotidae, namely Buceros rhinoceros, Buceros bicornis, Anthrococeros albirostris and Aceros undulatus. The results of this study will be utilized and developed theoretically in Ecology courses in the form of reference books.

Abstract

Ujian Akhir Semester di perguruan tinggi adalah salah satu bentuk uji kompetensi mahasiswa yang bertujuan sebagai salah satu komponen penentu kelulusan dan nilai akhir mahasiswa pada mata kuliah yang ditempuh. Tahun akademik 2013/2014 menjadi sorotan beberapa pihak tentang kualitas soal buatan dosen yang dianggap masih jauh dari kata “berbobot”. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti ingin mencoba melihat kualitas aspek materi butir soal buatan dosen pada soal akhir semester Tahun Akademik 2013/2014 tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian mix method gabungan penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis melalui teknik dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini silabus dan naskah soal buatan dosen sebanyak 80 soal dari 7 mata kuliah, terdiri dari 53 soal bentuk pilihan ganda dan 27 soal uraian yang diujikan pada tahun akademik 2013/2014. Sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah kualitas soal buatan dosen FTK UIN Ar-Ranniry dari aspek materi. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah lembar pedoman telaah soal dari aspek materi, serta peneliti sendiri sebagai human instrument.sebagai penganalisis kualitas soal tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kualitas butir soal buatan dosen FTK pada soal Ujian Akhir Semester Tahun Akademik 2013/2014 dari aspek materi termasuk dalam kategori baik. Kata Kunci: Analisis Kualitas Soal, dan Soal Buatan Dosen Final exams in college is one of the forms of student competency test aimed as one component of a determinant of graduation and the student's final grades in courses taken. The academic year 2013/2014 was highlighted several parties about the quality of the artificial about professors who were deemed to be away from the word "good". Based on this problem the researchers want to see the quality of the material aspects of artificial items test of lecturer at final exams at the 2013/2014 academic year. This study used a mixed method research approach combined quantitative and qualitative research with descriptive method of analysis through documentation techniques. Subjects in this study syllabus and text artificial about 80 lecturers matter of 7 courses, consisting of 53 questions and 27 multiple choice questions that tested the description in the academic year 2013/2014. While the object of this research is a matter of quality artificial FTK faculty UIN Ar-Ranniry of the material aspect. Data collection instrument was a sheet about the study guidelines of the material aspects, as well as the researchers themselves as human instrument.sebagai about the quality analyzer. The analysis shows the quality of lecturers FTK-made items in a matter of Final Examination Semester, Academic Year 2013/2014 of the material aspects included in both categories. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui lebih jauh mengenai konsep pembelajaran berbasis belajar dari lingkungan sebagai media penunjang pembelajaran biologi. Secara khusus tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keragaman Liliopsida dan menganalisis kelayakannya untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian dilakukan di pekarangan SMA Negeri 1 Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Metode pengumpulan data adalah survei dan kuadrat. Analisis data untuk indek keragaman dilakukan dengan Indeks Keragaman Shannon (H’), Indeks Kemerataan (E’). Analisis data Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) untuk menetapkan dominasi suatu jenis Liliopsida terhadap jenis Liliopsida lainnya dalam suatu komunitas. Sedangkan untuk kelayakan diuji dengan rumus penduga nilai kelayakan (K). Hasil penelitian diperoleh 37 jenis Liliopsida dari 6 familia. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Indeks Nilai Penting, pada tiap stasiun pencuplikan diketahui jenis Liliopsida yang mendominasi lebih dari satu jenis. Pada stasiun I dan II terdapat 3 jenis Liliopsida yang mendominasi komunitas tersebut, sedangkan pada stasiun III ada 6 jenis Liliopsida yang mendominasi. Indeks keragaman Shannon menunjukkan tingkat keragaman Liliopsida di pekarangan SMA Negeri 1 Sawang termasuk kategori sedang dan Indeks kemerataan menunjukkan bahwa distribusi jumlah individu setiap jenis Liliopsida di setiap lokasi relatif terdistribusi secara merata. Hasil pengujian kelayakan menunjukkan tumbuhan anggota Liliopsida di pekarangan SMA Negeri 1 Sawang sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran biologi konsep keanekaragaman hayati, khususnya keanekaragaman hayati tumbuhan (K= 120 %). Kata Kunci: Keragaman liliopsida, Media Pembelajaran dan Analisis Kelayakan The objective of this research was to know the further concerning of learning concept study-based from environmental as a supporting media of biological study. The main objective of this research was to know Liliopsida diversity and to analyze feasibility of Liliopsida species to used as biology learning media. The research was conducted in school-yard of SMA Negeri 1 Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Utara. The sampling was done by survey and squares method. Data analyzed using the Shannon index (H’) and Evenness index (E’). The important value index, to establish the dominance of one Liliopsida species to others Liliopsida in one community. Feasibility study measured by K formula (feasibility value assessment). The result showed that there were 37 species of which consist of 6 families. The important value index showed that in each sampling stations have more than one Liliopsida species as the dominance species. There were 3 dominance Liliopsida species from I and II sampling stations, whereas in III sampling station there were 6 dominance Liliopsida species. Shannon diversity index showed that the diversity level of Liliopsida in school-yard of SMA Negeri 1 Sawang were rated medium and Evenness index showed that a distribution of individual number of Liliopsida were relatifly apportionmented. The result of feasibility study showed that Liliopsida in school-yard of SMA Negeri 1 Sawang was very reasonable to be used as biology learning media in a biodiversity concept, specifically for plants biodirversity (K= 120 %). Abstract

This study aims to improve the teaching process and learning outcomes with the application of Direct Instruction model in class X IPA 1 at SMAN 15 Takengon. This research is Classroom Action Research with descriptive method that uses two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Subjects were researchers as a biology teacher and the entire class of students of SMA 15 X IPA 1 SMAN 15 Takengon that consists of 30 boys and 18 girls. Data collection techniques were observation and tests, while the research instrument consisted of observation sheets and test sheets. Observation sheet is used to describe teaching and learning activities and test sheets is used to describe the results of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice questions. The teachers’ activities in cycle I obtained an average score of 17 (good) while in cycle II increased to 21 (excellent). The students learning activities in cycle I earned an average score of 16 (enough), while in cycle II increased to 21 (excellent). In cycle I the average value of the grade is 66.67 with the classical grade not completed (43.33 %), while in cycle II the average value increased to be 85.33 with percentage of classical grade 80 % (complete). It was concluded that the direct instructional model can improve the teachers and students learning activities while also improve students learning outcomes in class X IPA 1 SMA 15 Takengon.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manfaat jenis tumbuhan obat yang ada di Desa Batu Hamparan Kecamatan Lawe Alas Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara. Metode dalam penelitan adalah survey. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara  deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan gambar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ditemukan 46 spesies jenis tumbuhan obat tradisional di Desa Batu Hamparan Kecamatan Lawe Alas Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara.

Abstract

The study entitled “The Implementation of the Lesson Study Based Learning toward the Teachers’ Pedagogical Competence and Science Process Skill of Biology Teachers’ at SMA Negeri 11 and MA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh”. It aimed to describe the teachers’ pedagogical competence and Science Process Skill of Biology teachers at SMA Negeri through lesson study focusing on the product learning instruments. The data analysis the pedagogical and science process skill was using descriptive percentage in qualitative. The study result of the pedagogical competence of biology teachers’ through the lesson study atSMA Negeri 11 and MA 3 Banda Aceh were running well in which the value of pedagogical competence at SMA Negeri 11 was 99% (very good category) and MA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh was 92% (good category). The teachers’ science process skill overall was very good category, with the score 72 for model teacher at SMA 11 Banda Aceh and 67 for model teacher at MAN 3 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

A research to investigate the improvement of student learning outcomes on Biotechnology concept with the application of SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) based handout has been carried out at MAS DarulIhsan Aceh Besar on the second semester of the Academic Year 2017/2018. The research used The Pre-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The samples were 32 students of class XII/b MAS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar. The data were collected by using multiple choice questions. The results showed that student learning outcomes were increased after the implementation of handout based on SETS. It can be concluded that the application of handout that is based on SETS approach can improve students learning outcomes on Biotechnology concept in MAS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar.

Abstract

The study was conducted in May 2016, the purpose of this research to determine the difference of Egretta garzetta’s daily frequency, male and female behavior in mangrove area Alue Naga, Banda Aceh city. The method used in this study is focal animal sampling method to recording the daily behavior. Data processed using the qualitative and quantitative analysis. Analysis of the frequency of daily activity, carried out with the daily percentage. The results showed that daily behavior of Egretta garzetta include: feeding activity, perching activity, voice activity, moving activity, grooming activity, resting activity and flying activity. The highest time activity is females, that is perching and resting activity with each averaging for 70 minutes / day (28%) and 80 min / day (32%), and the lowest time span males and females is voice activity in average 1 min / day (0.4%). The conclusions derived from this research are: (1) There are 7 daily activities of Egretta garzetta in study location, include: feeding activity, perching activity, voice activity, moving activity, grooming activity, resting activity and flying activity. (2) The highest time activity is females, that is perching and resting activity.

Abstract

Internet based – learning media is one of the learning sources that can be used to replace the text book. This research was aimed to find out the difference of learning result of students who utilized internet based – learning media as the sources of learning compare to the students who used conventional learning method on the topic of blood circulatory system. An experimental research had been conducted at SMAN 1 Woyla in the school year of 2014/2015. The population of this research was 60 students, which were 30 students of XII IPA 1 and 30 students of XII IPA 2 class. The entire population was chosen as the samples of the research which were 30 students for experimental class and 30 students for control class. The data were collected by using pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed by using independent sample t-tes or Mann Whitney test. The results showed that: (1) the N-Gain mean value of experimental class was 60 which was categorized as medium and for the control was 20 which was categorized as low, (2) the learning result was significantly different between the students who used internet based – learning media and the students who were taught conventionally on the topic of blood circulatory system with P value of 0,000 < 0,05. It can be summarized that there was a significant difference of learning result of students who used internet based – learning media with the students who used conventional learning method especially on the topic of blood circulatory system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fungi mikoriza arbuskular (FMA) dan pupuk organik terhadap sifat kimia tanah dan pertumbuhan bunga matahari (Helianthus annuus L.) pada lahan kritis. Sampel tanah diambil dari Desa Bukit Meusara, Jantho, Aceh Besar dengan kedalaman 0 – 20 cm pada jenis tanah Podsolik Merah Kuning. Penelitian ditata menurut rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial 4x3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama, FMA dengan 3 jenis yaitu tanpa mikoriza, Glomus sp. dan mikoriza campuran masing-masing sebanyak 10 g polibag-1. Faktor kedua, pupuk organik dengan 4 jenis yaitu tanpa pupuk, pupuk kandang, kompos dan guano masing-masing sebanyak 30 ton ha-1 setara 150 g polibag-1. Hasil pengamatan diuji dengan analisis ragam pada α=5%. Hasil uji sifat kimia tanah menunjukkan pemberian FMA berpengaruh nyata terhadap pH KCl, C-organik, N-total, P-tersedia, K-dd dan KTK tanah. Pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap pH H2O, P-tersedia, K-dd dan KTK tanah. Interaksi FMA dengan pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap pH H2O, pH KCl, P-tersedia dan KTK tanah. Pada pertumbuhan dan kandungan hara tanaman, interaksi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 20 dan 40 HST, jumlah daun pada 20 dan 40 HST, berat kering berangkasan atas, berat basah berangkasan atas dan kandungan hara N dan P. Mikoriza campuran dengan guano menunjukkan hasil terbaik terhadap perbaikan beberapa sifat kimia tanah, sedangkan pemberian mikoriza campuran dengan pupuk kandang menunjukkan hasil terbaik terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman. Kata Kunci: Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular, Helianthus annuus L., Lahan Kritis, Pupuk Organik, Sifat Kimia Tanah This research aimed at finding out the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and Organic Fertilizers on soil chemical properties and growth of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) on marginal lands. Soil samples were taken from Bukit Meusara village, Jantho, Aceh Besar with the depth of 00-20 cm on the kind of red-yellow podzolic soil. The study was laid out According to a randomized block design pattern 4x3 factorials with three replications. The first factor was the AMF with 3 levels, without mycorrhizae, glomus Sp. and mixed species of mycorrhiza, 10 g polybag-1. The second factor was an organic fertilizer with four levels, without fertilizer, manure, compost and guano each of 30 tons ha -1 equal to 150 g polybags-1. The observation results were analyzed with the analysis of variance at α = 5%. The results were: from the result of soil chemical properties testing, the provision of FMA significantly affected the pH KCl, organic C, total N, available P, K and Cation-exchangable Exchangable Capacity (CEC). Organic Fertilizers significantly influenced the pH of H2O, P-available, K-dd and CEC. The interaction of AMF and Organic Fertilizers significantly affected the pH of H 2O and KCl, available P and CEC. Whereas on sunflower growth and nutrient content, the interaction significantly affected plant height at 20 and 40 Days After Planting (DAP), leaf number at 20 and 40 DAP, dry weight of leaf, wet weight of leaf and plant nutrient content of N and P . The mixed species of mycorrhiza with guano showed the best results to the improvement of some soil chemical properties, while species of mycorrhiza mixed with manure showed the best result of the increasing plant growth.
