Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the problems encountered by biology teacher in implementing ecosystem material in learning teaching. The problem comes from various factors, they were from the teachers themselves, the students’ readiness in accepting the materials, material development that has been used as well as supporting facilities required during the learning process. The data were collected by observation and documentation method. The result showed that the learning process was not effective yet and the students were relatively passive, the learning process was considered less fun. Hopefully the implementation of the material will involve simple practical activities.

Abstract

Gempa bumi tanggal 11 April 2012 di Kota Banda Aceh dan sekitarnya masih menunjukkan minimnya persiapan masyarakat mengenai kesiapsiagaan menghadapi bencana. Penyebaran informasi dan pendidikan masyarakat terkait ilmu kebencanaan yang belum maksimal menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab. Minimnya persiapan dalam menghadapi bencana dapat dilihat dari kemacetan yang terjadi pada saat itu. Kemacetan terjadi di beberapa ruas jalan saat warga Kota Banda Aceh melakukan evakuasi akibat gempa bumi 11 April 2012. Jalur evakuasi dan titik evakuasi yang ada tidak memadai. Untuk menganalisa kejadian tersebut, survey dan observasi lapangan menjadi metode yang mungkin dilakukan dalam mengevaluasi kejadian darurat yang sudah terjadi. Masyarakat dan instansi terkait menjadi objek survey. Kajian yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Baiturrahman ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menentukan jalur evakuasi dan titik evakuasi alternatif. Kecamatan Kutaraja dan Meuraksa menjadi bagian dari kajian ini disebabkan sebagian warganya melewati Kecamatan Baiturrahman untuk melakukan evakuasi. Dari hasil survey tersebut didapatkan data pergerakan masyarakat pada gempa bumi 11 April 2012 yang lalu. Data tersebut kemudian menjadi acuan untuk observasi lapangan dan analisa tingkat pelayanan jalan (Level of Service, LoS). Berdasarkan data observasi dan analisa tersebut diketahui kelayakan suatu ruas jalan sebagai jalur evakuasi. Pada jalur evakuasi dengan LoS yang tidak stabil ditambahkan jalur alternatif untuk mereduksi kemacetan. Titik evakuasi vertikal menjadi variabel berikutnya untuk mereduksi kemacetan. Ruas-ruas jalan dan titik evakuasi vertikal tersebut kemudian menjadi peta jalur evakuasi alternatif Kecamatan Baiturrahman. Kata Kunci: Gempa Aceh 11 April 2012, Tingkat Pelayanan Jalan, Jalur Evakuasi, dan Titik Evakuasi Vertikal The earthquake on 11 April 2012 in the city of Banda Aceh and the surrounding communities still showed lack of preparation on disaster preparedness. Dissemination of information and education related to the science of disaster have not been up to be one of the causes. The lack of preparation for disasters can be seen from the congestion that occurs at that time. Congestion occurs on some streets as residents evacuate the city of Banda Aceh earthquake 11 April 2012. Evacuation routes and evacuation points are inadequate.To analyze these events, surveys and field observations become feasible method to evaluate emergency situation that has occured. Earthquake victims and stakeholders is the object of the survey. This study aims to create an alternative evacuation routes and evacuation points in sub-district Baiturrahman, Banda Aceh city. Kutaradja and meuraxa sub-district a part of the sudy, because of its population through the district baiturrahman when an earthquake to evacuate. The population movement data on the earthquake of 11 April 2012 were obtained from the survey. The data is used for a reference in the field of observation and to analyze the Level of Service. Based on the observational data and level of service can be determined the capacity of a road as evacuation road. Routes with unstable LoS, added alternate pathway to reduce congestion. Vertical evacuation points become next variable to reduce congestion. Roads and vertical evacuation point is then to be an Baiturrahman Sub-District alternatifve evacuation route map. Abstract

A research is conducted to identify the types of ferns found in the Terutung Kute in Darul Hasanah District, Southeast Aceh.  Method used in this study was an exploratory survey which was carried out with a 50 x 10 m transect that was spread throughout the area including mountains, plantations, settlements and watersheds. The study found 11 types of ferns from 8 families, namely Asplenium longissium, Asplenium tenerum, Diplazium accentens Blume, Davallia corniculata, Davallia trichomanoides, Orthioptheris sp, Lindsaea sp, Nephrolepis falcate, Heterogenium sp., Cyclosorus gongylodes and Cylosorus sp. The total number of individuals found in the Kute Terutung area are 131. The highest number of individuals is found in residential areas as much as 34, while in the mountainous regions are 32, watershed areas are 27. The least number of individuals is found in plantation areas as much as 22 individuals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Inkuiri pada konsep dampak pencemaran lingkungan terhadap kesehatan, menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Statistic group pretes-postes design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Muhamadiyah Aceh. Kelas pertama dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran PBL dan kelas kedua dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Inkuiri. Analisis data tentang model pembelajaran PBL dan Inkuiri terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Data penelitian diuji dengan t-test, menggunakan program statistik software komputer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis pada model pembelajaran PBL dan Inkuiri dengan t-hitung > t-tabel (3,20 > 2,00), dengan nilai postest mean PBL = 72,25 dan mean Inkuiri = 81,00. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada model PBL dan Inkuiri. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Inkuiri, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, dan Pencemaran Lingkungan This study aims to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Inquiry on the concept of the impact of environmental pollution on health, using experimental methods to design pretest-posttest Statistic group design. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of Muhammadiyah in Aceh. First class learned with PBL learning model and the second class learned with inquiry learning model. Analysis of data on PBL and inquiry learning model to increase students' critical thinking skills. Data were tested by t-test, using a statistical software program computer. The results show the value of critical thinking skills in the PBL and inquiry learning model with t count> t-table (3.20> 2.00), with a mean post-test score and the mean PBL = 72.25 and mean Inquiry = 81.00. It can be concluded that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills and inquiry PBL model. Abstract

Wacana pakan bouyancy pada pemeliharaan larva udang galah muncul karena dugaan untuk meratakan keberadaan pakan di kolom air dan memudahkan larva dalam menangkap pakan sehingga meningkatkan keseragaman ukuran larva pada D10 keatas, menekan laju kanibalisme, mempercepat grow rate dan meningkatkan survival rate. Percobaan ini dilakukan di bak di dalam hapa mini berukuran 100x100x50 cm selama 30 hari; menggunakan larva udang galah D7. Kepadatan tebar 200-300 ekor/L. Pakan bouyancy diberikan 3 kali/hari dengan takaran antara 10-30% bobot biomassa. Percobaan diulang 2 kali. Kajian pemberian pakan bouyancy dilakukan menggunakan bahan pakan berupa susu 150 gr, terigu 150 gr, telur 8 butir, minyak cumi 10 gr, cumi-cumi 150 gr, yeast 5 gr vit C 0,5 gr dan pewarna makanan. Untuk mengoptimalkan daya apung ekstrusi pakan dilakukan secara sederhana dengan menggunakan mixer dan reaksi dari yeast dan gula menghasilkan gas ke pori-pori pakan. Beberapa parameter yang diamati sebagai bahan konsiderasi dari aspek biologis antara lain daya apung pakan, keseragaman ukuran larva, laju pertumbuhan, umur larva, survival rate dan laju konsumsi. Dari hasil percobaan diperoleh daya apung pakan dikolom air bertahan paling lama satu jam. Keseragaman ukuran larva pada D10 keatas sebesar 70%, laju pertumbuhan tercepat diperoleh pada D14 dengan ukuran 10 mm (7%), umur larva yang tercepat masuk stadia Post Larva terjadi pada stadia D20 (5%) dan survival rate sebesar 40% yang dihasilkan selama masa pemeliharaan. Kata Kunci: Larva Udang Galah, Pakan Bouyancy dan Ekstrusi The discourse of bouyancy feed in the breeding of giant freshwater prawn larva appears to distribute evenly the feed in the water column and to ease the larva in catching the feed to improve uniformity of larva size from D10 to up, pressing its cannibalism, improving its grow rate and survival rate. This research was conducted in fairish micronet 100x100x50 cm for 30 days; using Larva Giant freshwater prawn larva (D7). The density of disperse was 200-300 larva/L. Bouyancy feed was given 3 times/day by measuring around 10-30% weight of biomass. It was repeated 2 times. Bouyancy feed was made of several materials, they are: 150 gr of milk, 150 gr of wheat, 8 pieces of egg, 10 ml of Squid oil, 150 gr Squid, 5 gr yeast, 0,5 gr of Vitamin C and food coloured. To optimize the exstrution of feed, it is conducted simply by using mixer and reaction of sugar and yeast yielded gas to pore the feed. Some parameters observed as biological aspects such as buoyancy feed, uniformity of larva size growth rate, age of larva, survival rate and consumption rate. The result showed that the buoyancy feed could survive for one hour. The uniformity of larva size at D10 to up was gained about 70%, the fastest growth rate was obtained at D14 at the size of 10 mm ( 7%), the fastest larvea age entering Post Larva stage occurred at stage D20 ( 5%). Abstract

In the 21st century the importance of scientific literacy learning is a necessity for individuals who face the challenges of the development of rapid scientific progress. Since that, science literacy learning is a learning concept based on content, processes and contexts. The basis of this research is about practicum modules that apply the concept of scientific literacy. The purpose of this study is to find out the indicators of the scientific literacy in the practicum module in Junior High School 1 in Langsa City. The method in this study is descriptive quantitative. The results obtained in this study are: (1) the content aspect of the scientific literacy in practicum module is 39%, (2) the process aspect of the scientific literacy is 52% which stated that the scientific literacy sometimes appears in the practicum module; (3) the context aspect is 40% which stated that the scientific literacy sometimes appears in the practicum module. The result is that practicum module can be stated sufficiently related to scientific literacy.

Abstract

Burung rangkong badak (Buceros rhinoceros) merupakan salah satu spesies burung dari familia Bucerotidae yang terdapat di Taman Hutan Raya Pocut Meurah Intan Provinsi Aceh. Tingginya laju deforestasi habitat dan pembukaan lahan di kawasan Taman Hutan Raya Pocut Meurah Intan akan memberi dampak negatif  dan mempercepat penurunan populasi burung rangkong badak. Penelitian tentang “Populasi Burung Rangkong Badak (Buceros rhinoceros) di Ekosistem Tahura Pocut Meurah Intan Provinsi Aceh” dilaksanakan pada bulan November  2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah individu dan kepadatan populasi burung rangkong badak (Buceros rhinoceros) yang terdapat di Tahura Pocut Meurah Intan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode titik hitung yang dikombinasikan dengan transect quadrat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi langsung pada objek penelitian. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 6 hari mulai dari pukul 06.30 s.d 10.00 WIB, dan dilanjutkan sore hari dari pukul 16.00 s.d. 18.00 WIB. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah individu dan kepadatan populasi burung rangkong badak (Buceros rhinoceros).  Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung kepadatan populasi burung rangkong badak (Buceros rhinoceros) menggunakan formula kepadatan populasi Eisenberg (1981). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah burung rangkong badak (Buceros rhinoceros) yang terdapat di Tahura Pocut Meurah Intan berjumlah 14 individu. Kepadatan populasi rangkong badak (Buceros rhinoceros) di Tahura Pocut Meurah Intan yaitu 1,4 individu/Km2.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of water and Vitamin C in the process of making chilli flour. The research used randomized completely design (RCD) with two factors, drying temperature (50 ° C , 60 ° C , 70 ° C , 80 ° C) and long drying (12 hours , 14 hours , 16 hours , 18 hours) , The results showed that the drying temperature had highly significant effect on the level of water and vitamin C; Long drying had a highly significant effect on the level of water and vitamin C; and the interaction of temperature and length of drying showed a significant different influence on the level of water and vitamin C.

Abstract

The freshness of fishes caught by fishing vessels must be maintained to preserve the fish quality, which usually using ice as the cooling media. The ice needed depend on the catch amount, vessel capacity, and the temperature. The aim in this study was to analyze the amount of ice needed for fishing vessels and the effect of ice on the quality of fishes caught at the Lampulo Ocean Fisheries Port in Banda Aceh. This research was conducted from May to August 2018, using descriptive method with organoleptic test and simple regression analysis. The result shows that the total amount of ice blocks needed by fishing vessels in the Lampulo Ocean Fishery Port for fishing activities is 11,337 tons / month. The fish quality shows organoleptic scale value of 7 to 8, which mean that the fishes caught in the Lampulo Ocean Fishery Port belong in fresh category. From the results of the Regression analysis can be concluded that the amount of ice carried by fishing vessels for fishing operations have a significant effect on the quality of the fish.

Abstract

Ie Suum geothermal manifestation area is a hot sering resource in Ie Suum Village at Aceh Besar regency. Ie Suum hot spring is a stretch of Seulawah Agam mountain and is one of the most active volcanic mountains in Aceh. This area has higher temperature and soil pH compared to areas far from geothermal areas. Therefore, this study can be associated with the unique characteristics of vegetation of geothermal areas will be different from vegetation plants that exist in other vegetation types. This research was conducted by quadrat transect method by determining the location of the research by purposive sampling divided into four point (station) with size determined based on plant habitus that is: herb (1x1 m2), bush / shrub (2x2 m2), pole ( 5x5 m2), and trees (10x10 m2). Data analysis is done qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative analysis of data by using vegetation analysis are: density (Kr), Frequency (Fr), Dominance (Dr), and Diversity Index (Ĥ). The results of the study found 23 families consisting of 34 species with a total number of individuals as many as 534 scattered in 4 observation stations divided into herbaceous plants, shrubs, poles and trees. Important Value Index (INP) vegetation in geothermal manifestation area of Ie Suum in all stations was obtained by INP 225,86%. This value belongs to the high category. The species species that have the highest index of other species Axonopus compressus is 17.02%, while the lowest Importance Value Index is Clidemia hirta with a value of 1.32%. The high value of INP Axonopus compressus is due to this species living on dry soil moisture and high acidity. The biodiversity index (Ĥ) of geothermal area of Ies Suum of Mesjid Raya District of Aceh Besar is Ĥ = 3,508. Vegetation of plants in the geothermal area ie suum belong to the high category due to plants that can adapt to high environmental physical-chemical conditions.
