Abstract

ABSTRACT LINE TODAY is a feature that created by the LINE application for LINE users to find information on a daily basis.LINE TODAY has various types of news, namely news, entertainment, biz & tech, and lifestyle. This study aims to find out how information fulfillment by LINE TODAY on youth in Denpasar City.This study used the theory of Uses and Gratifications. The method used is descriptive quantitative with sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data obtained by using a Likert scale in the questionnaire.The results of this study showed, LINE TODAY has not been able to fulfillment the information needs of the youth in Denpasar City. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is a descriptive qualitative study by collecting the data from the interview, observation and documentation to get detailed description about the role and public relation strategy of PT. Alam Sutera Realty Tbk. in forming the image of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park as the Bali tourism landmark 2018. The result of this research showed public relation strategy of PT. Alam Sutera Realty Tbk has not maximally implementing the seven strategies which are in accordance to the concept used in this study in forming the image of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park as the Bali tourism landmark 2018. The lack of practitioner in public relations is also one of the important factor in the successful of forming the image of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park as the Bali tourism landmark 2018. Abstract

ABSTRACTw Film discusses societal themes or phenomena and represents reality. It also speaks about the role of women in the media, who focuses on the struggle to withstand the gender equality for all of the women in the world. This contains ramework of liberal and socialist feminism in struggling for society problem which focuses on the equal opportunity and also right for every individual, particularly women that is being represented in movie entitled 7 Hati, 7 Cinta, 7 Wanita. It represents the phenomenon through the drama-genre movie. This research aimed to find out in-depth the values of feminism which represented in a movie entitled 7 Hati, 7 Cinta, 7 Wanita. This particular research was conducted using semiotic analysis method proposed by Charles Sanders Pierce through the Triangle Meaning concept by qualitative research and constructivist paradigm. The result of this study was 7 Hati, 7 Cinta, 7 Wanita is an Indonesian film that contains all the values of liberal and socialist feminism and being represented through 6 categories which contained in some scenes in this movie. .Keywords: feminism, movie, 7 Hati 7 Cinta 7 Wanita, semiotics

Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this study is The Strategy of Integrated Marketing Communication by Tourism and Culture Departement of Bangli Regency in Introducing Batur Geopark as Kintamani Landmark. In 2008 Batur was promoted to become one of member in Global Geopark Network. Finally in 2012 after four years, Batur become the first Global Geopark Network in Indonesia that was approved by UNESCO. Tourism and Culture Departement of Bangli Regency are responsible in marketing and introducing Batur Geopark. This study aimed to find out the strategy of integrated marketing communication by Tourism and Culture Departement of Bangli Regency in introducing Batur Geopark to wide community. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. The data was taken through interview, observation and documentation. Informant determination technique in this research was done by purposive sampling. In this study can be concluded that the strategy of integrated marketing communication by Tourism and Culture Departement of Bangli Regency were used two elements promotional mix of five elements promotional mix. The two elements promotional mix that used are: 1). Advertising, such as using billboard, booklet, website, Facebook, and Instagram. 2). Public Relation, such as by socialization to the society, held seminars about Batur Geopark, training for tracking guides and held Batur lake festival. Whereas the three elements promotional mix such as, Sales Promotion, Personal Selling, and Dirrect Selling were not used maximally by Tourism and Culture Departement of Bangli Regency. Abstract

Organization culture had become one of the main factors of Starbucks secret as one of the most successful coffee shop in the world. Kopelman, Brief, and Guzzo tend to agree when they said that organization culture provide a context for climate organization concept. The definition of climate of organizational communication itself means a combination from many perceptions of communication activities such as conflicts among the staff, and a chance for organization growth itself. The purpose of this research is to explain the organization communication climate of Starbucks, as the highest sales rate store in Bali. This research is using descriptive qualitative technique. The informants were selected by using purposive approach; the data were obtained by doing interview, direct observation, and documentation study. The technique of analyzing data that used in this research through several steps, start from reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result of this research shows the climate of organizational communication of Starbucks Bali Discovery Mall is already positive. It is because researcher found Starbucks Bali Discovery Mall could fulfill all 6 factors of climate of organizational communication. The process of communication top-down, bottom-up, or same level communication were running smoothly. Keywords: Climate of Organizational Communication, Starbucks Bali Discovery Mall.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of the internet media being an alternative that more interested than cast media. The alternation of consume system and access media make industrial organizer to reorganize the position which make it still relevant to their consumer. The direct effect of the changes in media consumption is a reduction in the number of circulations news paper, This pattern is filled by one of Balinese news paper is NusaBali. Finally NusaBali media choosed to change their management after convergencetion policy for increasing company’s credibility in media competition. Based on the concept of Management Mass Media Companies (6M), the researchers analyst how to the mass media management of NusaBali after convergence policy. In this research the researchers using descriptive cualitative method. The technique of accumulation by interviews and documentation. The result of the research showing after convergence policy, NusaBali have two management, there are NusaBali management and NusaBali.com management.. Abstract

ABSTRACT An image is very important for a politician to attain the attention from the society. Politician’s image need to be built and maintained in order to attain sympathy from the public. The process of building an image requires the media to share the informations. They have their own way to show the particular image, in order to attain more supports from the society. The using of social media of this purpose is such a requirement to reach the bigger range of society in order to influence them. Many politicians using Facebook to keep on communicating with their constituents. One of these politicians is I Ketut Sudikerta, who used to maintain this kind of social media to achieve the society’s empathy. He updates his Facebook timeline by uploading his daily activities photos. To observe the politician’s image on social media, we can use text analysis technic, to comprehend the intention of social media utilization on politic. The research aim at explaining text analysis of the image of I Ketut Sudikerta on Facebook on January until December 2017. This research using qualitative approach with Van Dijk analysis. The result of this research found that, there are 5 categories of image have been established: hardworking politician, down to earth, simple, local genius, young spirited, dynamic. Abstract

ABSTRACT The power of the media is found on the fact that media can be the main source of ideas and opinions. This study aims to found out how Tempo.co construct the facts that received in the field to be an investigative report and published on April 4, 2016. Researchers used two theories to support the research process. Among them is the theory of Agenda setting used in assessing the processing of facts, and the next theories is Framing theory model by Robert N. Entman. The type of research used is qualitative with constructivist paradigm. The results of this study, the construction of an investigative report made by Tempo.co. It is judged from the selection of issues and assertion aspects. The issue that Tempo.co wants to highlight through this investigative report is the involvement of prominent figures from various countries in the world, the practice of tax evasion in large scale and the appear of public figures from Indonesia in the leaked Mossack Fonseca documents. The highlighted aspects are tax evasion, money laundering, major crimes, massive scams, the involvement of prominent figures, conceal facts, and improper tactics. Abstract

Each individual communicates to build relationships from one person to another. An interaction that has been using by society often uses words or linguistics. However, some emotions that come out of human sense organ may communicate different cue when conveyed the word . Richard L. Weaver II, states that words generally trigger one set of sensory devices such as hearing, whereas nonverbal communication can trigger a number of sense devices such as sight, smell, feeling (Dasrun, 2012: 110). The purpose of this study is to observe and describe the form of teacher communication applied in the learning process in schools that provide specialized in deaf education. This research was conducted to 6 secondary school teachers at SMPLB Negeri 2 Denpasar. The theory used in this research is the theory of accommodation. Based on the results of research in the field shows that there are 3 forms of communication, among others; verbal communication, nonverbal communication and total communication. In addition, SMPLB Negeri 2 Denpasar teachers also apply the Communication Development Service of Perceptions of Sound and Rhythm (PKPBI) which serves to train the hearing loss for deaf students and minimize the consequences of disable, aiming for deaf students can be better trained in distinguishing sound sources, Develop the ability to detect, recognize sounds, and to understand the meaning, can communicate and interact with others. Abstract

ABSTRACT The presence of Uber in Bali raise a controversy so that the action of rejection frequently happened such as demonstration and sweeping was done by the local transportation and conventional taxi alliance. Those action of rejection often contained a violence that cause the Uber driver feel unsafe and harmed. The Uber Bali public relation hold up the role to keep the relation with their drivers as one of the stakeholders who have an important role for the company. Therefore, the study, entitled "Peranan Humas Perusahaan Aplikasi Transportasi Online Uber Bali dalam Menjaga Hubungan dengan Driver” have a purpose to find out the role by Uber Bali public relation in order to maintain the relation with their drivers. The method applied is analysis descriptive qualitative method with qualitative research and post-positivism paradigm. The results from this research based on the role concept of public relations according to Dozier and Broom, Uber Bali’s public relation intent to hold the role as an expert presciber and communication facilitator. As an expert presciber Uber Bali try on offer to solve the problems happened whether to supervise the emergency condition from the management, stakeholders, as well as the problem appear from the area. As a communication facilitator, Uber Bali’s public relation hold a role to provide a sharing session regarding the promo or the latest regulation as well as correspondence session with the driver if theres any concern from them.
