Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of intelligence, task commitment and self efficacy towards learning outcomes math class X SMA country Bulukumba District of Bulukumba. This type of research is ex-post facto nature of causality. The population in the study were students of Class X SMAN in District Bulukmpa Bulukumba 2014/2015 school year as many as 420 students and 201 students sample, taken by using proportional random sampling. The instrument used consisted of intelligence tests (tests of verbal linguistic intelligence, logical mathematical intelligence and visual-spatial), self-efficacy scale and the scale of task commitment and math achievement test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics that path analysis (path anlysis). The research concludes that: (i) Most students of class X SMA in Bulukumba, have intelligence with the category average, task commitment in learning mathematics with high category, self-efficacy in mathematics with high category and yield learning mathematics are the very low category. (Ii) a variable that significantly that intelligence directly influence the outcome of learning mathematics, self-efficacy directly influence learning outcomes and task commitment directly influence the results of students' mathematics learning, intelligence indirect effect on the result of learning mathematics through task commitment and self-efficacy influential indirectly of mathematics learning outcomes through task commitment.

Abstract

In this study, we discuss about Jigsaw type cooperative learning model to improve mathematics learning outcomes on the basic competence of cubes and beams of students of class VIIIA SMP. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in SMPN 2 Lasusua Year Learning 2016/2017 even semester. This study uses two cycles, each cycle has procedures such as planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of this study indicate the implementation of cooperative learning model jigsaw type can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. The value after the first cycle action increased compared with the initial test of 45,85 to 65,75. Furthermore the average score of students after the second cycle action increased compared with the average score of students on the implementation of the first cycle action that is 65,75 to 80,60 and has met the predetermined performance indicators that 85% of students have received a minimum score of 65.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe: 1) Teacher ability in the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share, 2) Ttudent activities in the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share, 3) Tearning result on IPS before and after the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share, 4) learning result on IPS before and after learning process with lecture method, 5) to find out the influence of the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share toward learning result on IPS. The method used was true experiment with pre-test post-test control group design. The population in the study are 4th grade student at SDN Sungguminasa II Somba Opu District Gowa Regency. Samples used are 40 student 20 student each from experiment and comparing group. chosen by simple random sampling. The data obtained from samples were analyzed with descritive and inferensial statistic. The result shows: 1) teacher ability in the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share have increased, 2) student activities in the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share, 3) student learning result who teached by cooperative learning Think Pair Share have increased, 4) student learning result who teached by lecture method have not increased, 5) the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Share is influencing toward learning result on IPS in 4th grade student at SDN Sungguminasa II Somba Opu District Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study is an expost facto research that aims to determine the influence of learning styles, family climate, and self-confidence in mathematics learning outcomes. The research population of students in grade XI IPA SMA Negeri Somba Opu District 2015/2016. Sampling technique with proportional stratified random sampling. Total sample of 158 students. Instruments used learning style tests, family climate questionnaires, confidence questionnaires, and mathematics learning outcomes. Data were obtained by using regression analysis. The results of the study reveal that (1) there is influence of learning style on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (2) there is influence of family climate on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (3) there is no influence of self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (4) there is interaction between learning style and family climate on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (5) there is interaction between learning style and self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (6) there is no interaction between family climate and self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, and (7) there is influence of learning style, family climate, and self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject by 13% and 87% which are influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) develop a biology Learning Management System (LMS) in Human Reproduction System Health with Quipper School platform, (2) develop an instrument of biology to improve student’s concept mastery at SMA Muhammadiyah I Klaten. This developmental research referred to the design and development research (DDR) model suggested by Richey & Klein (2007) grouped into six developmental procedures, and simplified into five procedures including (a) identifying the problem, (b) describing the objectives, (c) designing and developing product, (d) testing and evaluating product, (e) communicating the testing results. The data were analyzed using the parametric statistical model of ANCOVA test with the significance level of 0.05.  The research finding reveals that the implementation of the LMS is in the “very good” category. There is a significant difference in the concept mastery (p=0.013) between the experimental and control class after the use of Human Health Reproduction LMS  with p < 0.05. The conclusion of this research is that the use of LMS of Human Health Reproduction is able to improve the concept mastery of students

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the geometry skills in solving problems in terms of cognitive styles differences in the students of SMP Negeri Urumb. The type of this research is descriptive research that is qualitative with case study approach. The subject of this research is all students of SMP Negeri Urumb. Subject selection is done by using snowball sampling technique. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves and accompanied by supporting instruments such as diagnostic tests, geometry solving test, and interview guides. Validity and reliability of data is done through credibility test, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test. Data analysis consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study were (1) reflective FI subjects showing visual, verbal, drawing, and logic skills with level of geometry thinking at level 2 (informal deduction); (2) impulsive FI subjects exhibiting visual, verbal, and drawing skills with geometric thinking level at level 1 (analysis), (3) reflective FD subjects exhibit visual skills, and draw with level of geometric thinking at level 0 (visualization), and (4) impulsive FD subjects exhibit visual, verbal skills with geometric level thinking at level 0 (visualization).

Abstract

The study was conducted with the purpose to describe the students’ motivation in practicing Lesson Study at Teaching Practice Program (PPL) for increasing their pedagogic competence. There were five teacher trainees who joined in Teaching Practice Program and they were as teacher models in Lesson Study at SMP Negeri 3, 5 and 7 in Tarakan. Research design of this research was describtive qualititave with snowballing technique data analysis started on April to October, 2016. Lesson Study consists of three steps; Plan, Do and See. The result of the research can be revealed that 1) students, as teacher trainees, are able to improve their teachng quality through practicing Lesson Study at SMP by having good lesson plan, teaching preparation, classroom management, teaching instructional material, good interaction between teacher and students, 2) the Lesson Study also has significant role in empowering English language teacher trainees to generate the students’ performance at the classroom interaction by sharing idea from all teacher trainees in teaching reflection session.

Abstract

The objectives of the research (1) the implementation of assertive training technique in reducing negative conformities toward peer group, (2) the students negative conformities before and after being given assertive training technique, (3) assertive training technique in reducing negative conformities toward peer group. The research employed quantitative approach by using true experimental design with pretest-postest control group design. The subjects of the research were 22 students of class IX who were identified they had high negative conformities toward peers. Thw data collection technique employed negative conformitas scale, observation, and interview. The results of the research reveal that (1) the implementation of assertive training technique in reducing negative conformities toward peer group is implemented based on the procedure designed in 5 meetings, (2) negative conformities towards peer group before the implementation of assertive training technique is in high category. However, after the implementation of assertive training technique, peer group is in low category, (3) the implementation of assertive training technique in reducing negative conformities toward peer group at SMPN 1 Sungguminasa, meaning that the students who were given the implementation of assertive training technique showed the reduction of negative conformities toward peer

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan hasil belajar pengetahuan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. (2) Perbedaan sikap ilmiah antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. (3) Tingkat keterlaksanaan sintaks inkuiri terbimbing kelas eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen semu atau quasi experimental design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 MAN 1 Kota Bima sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari: pedoman wawancara, lembar validasi, angket, tes, dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil belajar pengetahuan peserta didik diukur menggunakan normalized gain (N-Gain). Nilai Gain Score ternormalisasi tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 18. Penilaian sikap ilmiah peserta didik dianalisis menggunakan penilaian Permendikbud No.81A Tahun 2013. Sedangkan penilaian keterlaksanaan sintaks dianalisis menggunakan analisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan menentukan persentase sub variabel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulakan: (1) Rata-rata perolehan N-Gain hasil belajar pengetahuan peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol. (2) Penilaian sikap ilmiah peserta didik kelas eksperimen menunjukkan kategori “SANGAT BAIK”, sedangkan kelas kontrol menunjukkan kategori “BAIK”. Dan (3) Keterlaksanaan sintaks inkuiri terbimbing pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan kategori “SANGAT BAIK”.

Abstract

The study aims to discover; (i) the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor; (ii) teachers’ work motivation, (iii) professional competence of Mathematics teachers of SMAN (Public Senior High School), (iv) the influence of the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor and teachers, work motivation simultaneously toward professional competence of Mathematics teacher of SMAN, (v) the influence of implementation of academics supervision of school supervisor toward professional competence of Mathematics teachers after considering teachers’ work motivation, (vi) the influence between teachers’ work motivation and professional competence  of Mathematics teachers of SMAN after considering the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor based on teachers’ perception. The study is a survey research. The populations were Mathematics teachers at SMAN in Pinrang and Sidrap District. The samples were obtained by employing Area Proportional Random Sampling. The data was analyzed by using partial correlation and regression. The result of the descriptive analysis indicates that the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor is in high category, teachers’ work motivation is in high category, and professional competence of Mathematics teachers is in very high category. The results of the research reveal that: (i) academic supervision of school supervisor and teachers’ work motivation simultaneously give influence toward professional competence of Mathematics teacher, (ii) the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor give influenced towards professional of Mathematics teachers at SMAN after considering Mathematics teachers’ work motivation, (iii) after considering the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor, there is influence of teachers’ work motivation toward professional competence of Mathematics teachers at SMAN.
