Abstract

Public space is the space to accomodate the community activity, which has ecological, economical and socio-cultural-psychological functions. The Purworejo City Square is one of the square that visually and functionally still bring authentic in accordance the form of colonial downtown. The physical character is formed by five buildings that surround the Regent Office on the South side, Protestant Church of the western Indonesia and the Post Office on the East side, a Hall County on the north side as well as the Darul Muttqien Mosque Jami’on the West side. The condition of the square only a few changes. The question is: what is with the current state of the town of Purworejo square can accommodate functions is good? The purpose of this research is to make a study of the function of the Purworejo City Square. The research method used is descriptive qualitative methods. To get the field observation techniques used data and interviews with visitors and tradersr. The ecological tangible function directly from the square were improve microclimate, so this space is comfortable to relaxion and recreation.. Economic function the most prominent especially during sunday and holiday. the square be a goal for recreation and culinary tourism The results of this study is that the Purworejo City Square be to the center of local people formal and informal interactions, being an activity support who gives life city environment .The vendors is planned by good that reduce aesthetics and gave the impression for the slum .Forward need to arrangement and design appropriate got recommendation alignment between the and aesthetics city. Compounding keywords / key words: study public , function the square .Forward should be created planning and designing appropriate in a harmony between functions and aesthetics.Key words: public space , function, Purworejo City SquareABSTRAKRuang publik merupakan ruang untuk mewadahi aktivitas masyarakat, yang memiliki fungsi ekologis, ekonomis dan fungsi sosial-kultural-psikologis. Alun-alun Kota Purworejo merupakan salah satu alun-alun yang secara visual dan fungsional masih menampakkan keasliannya sesuai bentuk pusat kota masa Kolonial. Karakter fisiknya dibentuk oleh lima bangunan yang mengelilingi yaitu: Kantor Bupati di sisi selatan, Gereja Protestan Indonesia bagian Barat dan Kantor Pos di sisi timur, Pendopo Kabupaten di sisi utara serta Masjid Jami’ Darul Muttqien di sisi barat. Kondisi alun-alun hanya sedikit mengalami perubahan. Pertanyaannya adalah: apakah dengan kondisi saat ini Alun-alun Kota Purworejo dapat menampung fungsi-fungsi tersebut secara baik? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat kajian fungsi alun-alun kota Purworejo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk mendapatkan data digunakan teknik observasi lapangan dan wawancara dengan pengunjung dan pedagang. Dari aspek ekologis, fungsi langsung dari alun-alun adalah memperbaiki iklim mikro, sehingga ruang ini nyaman untuk bersantai dan berwisata melakukakan akttifitas. Fungsi ekonomis yang paling menonjol adalah alun-alun menjadi pusat PKL terutama pada saat hari Minggu dan hari libur alun-alun menjadi tujuan untuk rekreasi dan wisata kuliner. Hasil akhir penelitian ini adalah bahwa Alun-alun Kota Purworejo menjadi pusat kegiatan masyarakat baik formal maupun informal, menjadi pendukung aktivitas (activity support) yang menghidupkan suasana kota. Lokasi PKL tidak direncanakan dengan baik sehingga mengurangi estetika dan memberi kesan kumuh pada kawasan. Ke depan perlu diadakan penataan dan perancangan yang sesuai agar ada keselarasan antara fungsi dan estetika kota.Kata-kata Kunci / Key words : ruang publik, fungsi, Alun-alun Kota Purworejo.

Abstract

Garbage due to human activities is increasing because as the population increases, the level of publicconsumption is also getting higher. There is a need for environmental waste management with the maingoal of reducing waste and utilizing waste so that it is not truly useless and discarded. PolyethyleneTerephtalate (PET) is one of plastic type that can be easily recycled. Its use as an added ingredient ofpaving block is one of alternative to overcome the existing waste or plastic waste. The purpose of this research is to find out the average value of acceptable compressive strength andpercentage value of water absorption by paving blocks with fine aggregate substitution in the form ofpolyethylene terephtalate (PET) plastic counts for each composition. The comparison used for cementand sand is 1: 6. This study uses  the  SNI  03-0691-1996 method  about  Concrete  Brick  (paving block.  The  results  obtained  for  the  average compressive strength that can be received by paving blocks areas follows in normal paving block (0%) of 11.32 MPa, in paving blocks with an addition of 0.3% is12.31 MPa, in paving blocks with the addition of 0.4% is 12.70 MPa, in paving block with addition of0.5% is 14.55 MPa, and in paving blocks with an addition of 0.6% is 11.82 MPa. While for thepercentage value the absorption of paving block water obtained each of them as follows in normalpaving block (0%) is 10%, in paving blocks with addition of 0.3% is 8%, in paving blocks with anaddition of 0.4 % is 7%, on paving blocks with the addition of 0.5% is 5%, and on paving blocks with theaddition of 0.6% is 9% MPa.Key Words : Compressive Strength, Paving Block, Waste, Polyethylene Terephtalate (PET), Plastic,Water Absorption.ABSTRAKSampah akibat aktivitas manusia semakin banyak karena seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk,tingkat konsumsi masyarakat  juga  semakin  tinggi.  Perlu  adanya  pengelolaan  sampah  lingkungan dengan  tujuan  utama  untuk mengurangi sampah. Jenis Polyethylene Terephtalate (PET) merupakansalah satu jenis plastik yang dapat didaur ulang dengan mudah. Penggunaanya sebagai bahan tambahpaving block merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk menanggulangi limbah atau sampah plastik yangada. Tujuan dari penilitian ini adalah untuk me ngetahui nilai rata rata kuat tekan yang dapat diterima dannilai persentase penyerapan air oleh paving block dengan subtitusi agregat halus dalam bentuk cacahanplastik polyethylene terephtalate (PET) untuk tiap komposisi. Perbandingan yang digunakan untuksemen dan pasir yaitu 1 : 6. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SNI 03-0691-1996 tentang Bata Beton (paving block). Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa rata rata kuat tekan yang dapat diterima oleh paving block tiap komposisiadalah sebagai berikut, pada paving block normal (0%) sebesar 11,32 MPa, pada paving block denganpenambahan 0,3% sebesar 12,31 MPa, pada paving block dengan penambahan 0,4% sebesar 12,70 MPa,pada paving block dengan penambahan 0,5% sebesar 14,55 MPa, dan pada paving block denganpenambahan 0,6% sebesar 11,82 MPa. Abstract

Karakter  Kota  Abad  Pertengahan  merupakan  proses  pertumbuhan  kota  dari peradaban  yang  tidak  aman  kepada  peradaban  baru.  Pada  kota-kota  awal  Abad Pertengahan  kebanyakan  kota  tumbuh  tidak  terencana  (organic  growth),  contohnya  kota Cesky Krumlov. Selanjutnya pada pertengahan Abad Pertengahan kondisi kota-kota menjadi tidak  aman,  sehingga  dibangun  benteng-benteng  sebagai  pertahanan,  sehingga  tumbuh menjadi kota benteng. Perencanaan kota baru pada akhir Abad Pertengahan menggunakan pola  grid  iron  pada  lahan  kosong  contohnya  kota  Monpazier.  Market  square  dan  gereja merupakan ciri khas Kota Abad Pertengahan.   Perencanaan  kota  Abad  Pertengahan  dipengaruhi  oleh  kondisi  social,  ekonomi  dan politik.  Bangunan-bangunan  Kota  Abad  Pertengahan  dibangun  dengan  skala  manusia, sehingga  lebih  manusiawi.  Terjadi  kebangkitan  ekonomi  di  masa  Abad  Pertengahan, ditandai  dengan  banyaknya  kegiatan  perdagangan.  Akibatnya  adalah,  square  mengalami perubahan  fungsi  dari  simbol  kekuasaan  pada  masa  Yunani  dan  Romawi  menjadi  pusat kegiatan ekonomi di Kota Abad Pertengahan.

Abstract

Mikrokontroler adalah suatu untai terintegrasi ( IC ) atau chip yang bekerja denganprogram, dirancang secara khusus untuk aplikasi sistem kendali. Salah satu aplikasinyaadalah Implementasi Mikrokontroler sebagai Pengendali dan Pendeteksi Banjir merupakansebuah perangkat atau instrumentasi kontrol yang dapat dioperasikan dari jarak jauh,dengan menggunakan sebuah sensor dan pengolah data mikrokontroler AT 89C51,sehingga dapat membantu operator dalam mendeteksi ketinggian air pada suatu bendungan.Komponen – komponen pengendali yang digunakan adalah : Mikrokontroler AT89C51, sensor, ADC (analog to digital converter) dan rangkaian penampil.Peralatan ini dirancang untuk mendeteksi 5 (lima) kondisi atau keadan yaitu :Aman, Siaga, Siaga 1, Awas, dan Bahaya..Kata kunci : sistem kendali, mikrokontroler AT 89C51, sensor, ADC (analog to digitalconverter) dan rangkaian penampil.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted in Purwokerto and its environs. It aims to find out the impact of differences in environmental conditions resulting from physical urban development on the distribution in quality of groundwater in Purwokerto. This research adopted a combination of two kinds of research, namely a survey and descriptive, comparative research with observation in the field. The survey was used to measure the required physical data. The descriptive, comparative research was used to find out the effects of environmental factors on the quality of groundwater.The data were analyzed using 4 methods of analysis, namely temporal analysis, spatial analysis, ecological analysis, and statistical analysis in order to find out the effects of environmental factors on the distribution in quality of ground water in Purwokerto.Results of the research indicate a progressive deterioration in quality of the groundwater in the research site. The temporal analysis proves that the deterioration in quality happens concurrently with the increase of urban development. From 10 elements of water quality under examination, there are 4 elements that have exceeded the standard water quality of grade B. The spatial analysis proves that the quality of water in the northern part of the town is better than that in the centre and the southern part. This means that the environmental conditions of the urban area contribute to the deterioration in quality of groundwater in Purwokerto.From the statistical analysis it is found that the density of building and population as well as the depth of groundwater contribute to the derioration in water quality. In addition to these 3 variables, other variables that affect water quality are sanitary facilities, environmental conditions and land use. Keywords: Density of residential areas, land use. quality of groundwater

Abstract

The Serayu River Basin (DAS) is one of the watersheds in Serayu Bogowonto River, the problems that occur in the river channel is the degradation and erosion of river cliffs in recent years. Degradation anderosion of the cliffs resulted in sediment movement within the river channel so that attention needs to betaken to control the destructive power of water in the land around the river and in the river channel.Alluvial river stability is said to be in stable condition or to achieve balance if there are temporary or nonpermanent changes in the medium term.Result of simulation of hydrodynamic behavior of serayu river with constant flood discharge when repeated10 years some locations have erosion and some locations have deposition. The rate of erosion andsedimentation for each Bench Mark is different depending on the position on the outer corner, inner bend,or on a straight groove. AbstractFace recognition is a non-contact biometric identification that tries to verify individuals automatically based on their images. The main problem is to determine face features that represent face.  This paper uses geometric feature extraction method to explore primary face features by distance measurements. Abstract

ABSTRACT Concrete is one of the construction needs of modern society. In Indonesia, almost all building constructions use concrete as a building material, such as in the construction of buildings, bridges, roads and others. In this study, the addition of rice husk ash and superplasticizer (Consol SS-8) was carried out. To determine the compressive strength of fc '45 MPa concrete at the age of 14 days and 28 days with variations in the addition of rice husk ash (ASP) 0%, 5%, 10%. , 15% and the addition of a superplasticizer (Consol SS-8). The research process was carried out at the Structural Engineering Laboratory of the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Wijayakusuma University of Purwokerto, the test object used was a cylinder, the quality of the concrete planned for fc '45 MPa which was tested at the age of 14 and 28 days with treatment before testing. This study tested the concrete with a cylindrical specimen for the compression test (diameter 15 x 30 cm) as many as 40 samples consisting of 4 variations and each variation of 5 samples. From this study, the results of the 28-day-old concrete compressive strength sample test were the highest in 5% rice husk ash variant concrete (ASP) with an average compressive strength value of fc '39.19 MPa and the lowest was in the concrete variant of rice husk ash (ASP) 0% with an average compressive strength value of 33.30 MPa. Keywords : high quality concrete, rice husk, superplasticizer ABSTRAK Beton merupakan salah satu kebutuhan konstruksi untuk masyarakat modern. Di Indonesia hampir seluruh konstruksi bangunan menggunakan beton sebagai bahan bangunan, seperti pada konstruksi bangunan gedung, jembatan, jalan dan lainnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan penambahan abu sekam padi dan superplasticizer (Consol SS-8) bertujuan untuk mengetahui kuat tekan beton fc’ 45 MPa pada umur 14 hari dan 28 hari dengan variasi penambahan abu sekam padi (ASP) 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% dan penambahan superplasticizer (Consol SS-8). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Rekayasa Struktur Program Studi Teknik Sipil, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Wijayakusuma Purwokerto. Benda uji yang digunakan berbentuk silinder, mutu beton yang direncanakan fc’ 45 MPa yang diuji pada umur 14 dan 28 hari dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan perawatan sebelum pengujian. Penelitian ini menguji beton dengan benda uji selinder untuk uji tekan (diameter 15 x 30 cm) sebanyak 40 sampel terdiri dari 4 variasi dan masing-masing variasi sebanyak 5 sampel. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu uji sampel kuat tekan beton umur 28 hari tertinggi pada beton varian abu sekam padi (ASP) 5% dengan nilai kuat tekan rata-rata sebesar fc’ 39,19 MPa dan terendah pada beton varian abu sekam padi (ASP) 0% dengan nilai kuat tekan rata-rata sebesar 33,30 MPa. Abstract

ABSTRACT BPU closed house system cages are closed cages that ensure the safety of livestock in contact with other organisms, with good ventilation arrangements available air and a conducive climate for livestock so as to minimize stress levels. In order to support the planning for the construction of the chicken coop, a geological engineering investigation is needed. Technical Feasibility of Closed House Chicken Coop Development at BPU Jenderal Soedirman University aims to identify soil and rock types, analyze soil strength, potential for soil movement, analyze soil physical and mechanical properties as a result of sondir testing, engineering geological drilling at the location of the development plan as well as recommendations for the right type of foundation. The results of the investigation obtained that the geomorphology of the planned location was included in the Denudational Ridge/Sloping Hills unit, the slope angle was 8-13%, the height difference was 20 meters. Rock types consist of claystone and sandstone as inserts, interludes. Soil strength is included in the very stiff-stiff category (UCS Classification), but still has a fairly good bearing capacity, there is a lot of hard and dry soil. Hard soil layers from the results of the six CPT test points (sondir) were found to vary at a depth of 5.40-9.60 meters. The results of the N-SPT test at two engineering geological drilling points show the depth of the hard soil layer at intervals of 5-6 meters. The results of laboratory tests on the physical and mechanical properties of the soil at a depth of 3 meters resulted in the shear angle numbers: 26.05o (point B1) and 26.79o (point B2); cohesion: 0.2499 kg/cm2 (point B1) and 0.2387 kg/cm2 (point B2), the type of soil that can be interpreted is sandy soil with dense conditions. Recommended depth of foundation to be adapted to the design and analysis of building capacity. The depth of the foundation is 5-6 meters, the result of N-SPT >30 can be constructed with a maximum bearing capacity of 20 tf/m2. The recommended types of foundations that can be proposed are river stone foundations and foot plate foundations. Key words : Technical Feasibility, geomorphology, engineering geology,

Abstract

ABSTRAKPaper ini mengkaji beberapa penelitian yang berkaitan dengan durabilitas beton geopolimer berbasis fly ash. Durabilitas beton geopolimer yang dikaji adalah yang berkaitan dengan ketahanan terhadap lingkungan yang bersifat asam dan lingkungan yang sulfat serta air laut. Hal ini karena sebagian struktur beton berada pada lingkungan tersebut. Dengan mengetahui perilaku material tersebut, maka dapat diperoleh desain yang lebih aman dan ekonomis. Beberapa hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa beton geopolimer memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik dibanding  beton OPC dan mampu bertahan dalam lingkungan yang lebih agresif. ABSTRACTThis paper examines several studies related to the durability of fly ash-based geopolymer concrete .Geopolymer concrete durability is associated with resistance to acidic environments, sulfate environments and sea water. This is because most of the concrete structure to be in that environment. By knowing the behavior of the materials, it can be obtained design safer and economical. Some research revealed that geopolymer concrete has better performance than OPC concrete and able to survive in an eggressive environment.
