Abstract

Utilization of narrow and unproductive land through fish farming is one way to increase land productivity. Aquaponic technology, which combines fish and vegetable farming with a recirculation system, is considered a simple but effective technology. This technology emphasizes land efficiency and the utilization of fish organic waste as fertilizer for the plants on it. The development of this technology can produce multiple products in one production cycle. Furthermore, this technology is able to increase the independence and productivity of the community so that it is indirectly expected to support their economy and welfare. KKN IX activities carried out by the Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB) in Basun Village, Dam 3 Village, and Kelekak Kabung Village in Tempilang District are manifestations of the role of UBB's dharma of service to the community. The application of aquaponic technology is expected to bring new knowledge and skills to the community so that the optimization of non-productive land can be improved and able to produce something more useful and economically valuable.

Abstract

Tuing Hamlet, Mapur Village, Riau Silip Sub-district, Bangka Regency is one of the underdeveloped hamlets in Bangka Regency. The main factor causing its underdevelopment is the very poor road access. However, Tuing Hamlet has beautiful tourism potential, unexplored fisheries and agriculture that still need to be developed. So that approaches need to be taken to improve and develop these sectors such as making fishing aids, providing GPS assistance, structuring the hamlet, conducting socialization with the local government, forming farmer groups, making vegetable demonstration plots and verticulture, providing super native chicken seeds and rubber seeds, socializing land ownership status laws, and making road paving RAB. Most of these service activities in Tuing Hamlet were successfully carried out so that the community could make squid FADs and fish FADs and knew the fishing points using GPS, knew the demonstration plot and verticulture methods and were able to breed super native chickens. Therefore, in order for Tuing Hamlet to get out of the shackles of underdevelopment, the local government should immediately pave the road based on the RAB that has been made, conduct socialization of Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2013, and collaborate with Universitas Bangka Belitung to make a master plan for tourism development in Tuing Hamlet.

Abstract

The pandemic changed the course of our schools. All traditional face-to-face classes were converted into online classes. This complicates excellent educational planning for practice-based courses, as these courses rely on laboratory facilities to enhance students' abilities. Therefore, social service to 24 elementary school teachers is important through the utilization of online platforms, especially Google Meet. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to learn about the process of teaching the use of Google Meet during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to assess the instructors' opinions on the training and use of this platform. The authors used a qualitative paradigm to describe the learning method and determine instructors' opinions on training using field observations and surveys. Based on documented field observations, course presenters use Google Meet for content discussion. According to this survey, 73.62 percent of the respondents preferred the online learning mode due to the lack of problems encountered. Interestingly, the questionnaire findings revealed 81.95 percent favorable perception of the use of various platforms during the session. This has the potential to be a significant improvement for online courses across all contexts.
