Abstract

Balunijuk Village is a production center for horticultural products in Bangka Regency, and the majority of its people work as farmers. This service activity aims to provide assistance in implementing the LEISA system, encouraging the scale up of its products, and increasing the entrepreneurial capacity of millennial farmers in the Taruna mandiri farmer group through mastery of technology. The activity was carried out in Balunjuk Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency, Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province. The service activities carried out went through 6 (six) stages of activities, namely polyculture techniques, training in making liquid organic fertilizer (POC), training in making animal feed, duck and fish farming, socialization and promotion activities. The results of the application of the LEISA technology package by combining polyculture vegetable cultivation techniques, duck farming and intensive mentoring. Through this community empowerment program, we can reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides that endanger health and damage the environment. The use of chemical fertilizers can be replaced with compost, liquid organic fertilizer (POC), while chemical pesticides can be replaced with vegetable pesticides. The socialization activities were carried out using presentation methods and interactive discussions that contained all questions and positive responses from the guests/audience.

Abstract

The potential of estuary waters in mangrove forests in Belinyu, Bangka Regency is quite high. The high potential of these waters is utilized by fish farmers to cultivate brackish water fish. The Perepat Permai fish farmer group in Air Jukung Village, Belinyu Subdistrict, Bangka Regency is a fish farmer who is pioneering the cultivation of ketang-ketang fish. Ketang-ketang fish is characterized by softer, tastier meat and no smell of mud. However, fish farming is still constrained by the problem of low optimization in utilizing production capacity which has an impact on the low quantity and quality of yields. The purpose of this activity is to provide science and technology applications in the form of systems and technology to produce ketang-ketang fish that has a high selling price by optimizing the production capacity of fish farmers. This activity was carried out in fish farming ponds owned by fish farmers in Air Jukung Village, Belinyu District, Bangka Regency. The method of this activity is to carry out cultivation activities by inserting the application of stocking technology and artificial feeding systems in the Belinyu ketang-ketang fish cultivation process. The results of this activity are ketang-ketang fish reared from juvenile size with a length of 7-10 cm growing optimally in ponds. Ponds where ketang-ketang fish are kept in environmental conditions that are suitable for the survival and growth of ketang-ketang fish. The number of ketang-ketang fish meets the fish production capacity. Ketang-ketang fish can be harvested partially within 4-5 months with a length of 20-24 cm and a weight of 200-300 grams per head which is the size of consumption according to market demand.

Abstract

The program aims to tackle the issue related on the low level of participation of the people in the restoration program on the post-mining land. Empowerment program was provided as the solution to increase the participation level of the people. It was expected that the welfare of the society would improve by utilizing the post-mining land. The beneficiary was people in Desa Bukit Kijang who were affected by the mining activities. Socialization approach was applied related with the effort on restoring the post-mining land. The result of the program was that the participation of the people in the activity had increased. Thus, it was suggested that the policy maker could ensure the empowerment program on the restoration of post-mining land should be massive, systematic and sustainable.

Abstract

Garbage is a place for disease agents to develop, whether in the form of bacteria, mosquitoes, cockroaches and rats. These agents carry disease agents that can cause diarrhea, malaria, dengue fever, typhoid and others. The amount of waste in the environment is also related to the increasing population. The environment in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province is also inseparable from the problem of waste management. Especially at the service location, namely in Permis Village, Simpang Rimba District, South Bangka Regency. Permis village is a village with quite a large population in South Bangka district, so waste management and health education are very important. Pemis Village has a population of 3,894 people or a population density of 173.77 people/km2. Permis Village has geographical potential, namely the Permisan Hill and the beach. Permisan Hill or better known as the Mount Permisan Natural Tourism Park (TWA) in Simpang Rimba District, South Bangka Regency which is still natural and has not been managed properly. So it really needs to be managed, especially in an effort to make the area an ecotourism area that can grow people's economic resources. The service program that will be carried out is in the form of Independent Family-Based Waste Management activities within the Permis village population. The activity is in the form of Socialization of an independent family-based waste management system and Involving the Permis village community in the waste management application. The purpose of implementing this service is to build community commitment and awareness about the importance of good waste management towards a healthy and economically valuable family environment. So that it is hoped that an independent, healthy and competitive society will be formed.

Abstract

This community service activity is motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which has been going on since March 2020, because it is important for the community, especially women who work as batik craftsmen, to maintain their health. There are still many community members and women in the batik community who have not complied with the health protocol. This could be because you are not used to it, so you feel uncomfortable. For this reason, the Master of Sociology Study Program, Department of Sociology, FISIP Universitas Airlangga took the initiative to carry out community service activities to empower women in the batik community in the health sector in Kerek District, Tuban Regency, East Java. This service activity was attended by 50 women from the Bati community in Kerek District and took place in Gaji Village. To avoid crowds, the activity was carried out in two sessions and each session was attended by 25 people. Activities are carried out using mixed methods, namely online and offline. Participants attend and take part in activities in Gaji Village while the material is provided online. The material provided is knowledge about the coronavirus, prevention, and transmission of Covid-19, and the role of the family in dealing with family members when someone is sick. The results of the community service show that the knowledge of the service participants experienced a delay after the community service activities were carried out. This is shown from the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted during the activity.

Abstract

The health of women and children is one of the crucial issues in achieving health development throughout the world. All of these problems must be solved immediately, mainly through community service activities by implementing science and technology that have been produced by the Team's research in recent years for the community in Wringinanom District, Gresik Regency. The purpose of this activity and the target of community service activities is to provide the following solutions; 1) provide independent registration assistance related to women's and children's reproductive health; 2) strengthening women's networks through information technology; 3) Empower PKK Health Cadres. This community service is carried out from preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The data collection method was carried out by holding a pretest and posttest. This study shows that reproductive health is not just a medical problem, but also a social and cultural problem. Not because women are guilty for not understanding and not caring about their own health conditions, but more related to their insensitive access to the situation faced by women. Therefore, joint efforts are needed to increase women's knowledge related to reproductive health and children under five to achieve the third Sustainable Development Goals, namely a healthy and prosperous life.

Abstract

Geological activity in the Sunda Strait received attention through the tsunami that occurred at the end of 2018 and the tectonic earthquake in the Sunda Strait subduction zone with Magnitude 6.9 on August 2, 2019. These conditions raise concerns about the threat of earthquake and tsunami disasters in the surrounding area. Tanggamus Regency, which is located within a fairly close radius to the Sunda Strait, has a very wide tsunami-prone lowland, especially in the area around the tip of Teluk Semangka. Based on these conditions, this research generally aims to map evacuation service areas, map evacuation times, and analyze effective evacuation models. To answer these challenges, this research was conducted following several methodological stages. It started with defining the study area using spatial analysis, digitizing the road network and interlinking it with the Network Analysys tool on the ArcGIS platform. Based on the observation, it was found that the most at-risk areas are those that have the farthest distance from the Temporary Evacuation Site (TES) location when traveled without a vehicle. Each region has a TES location that can be reached using the available roadways. There are 3 sub-districts that have a travel time of more than 30 minutes to reach the TES, namely, Semaka sub-district, Wonosobo sub-district and Kota Agung Barat sub-district. It is expected that the results of this study can be one of the considerations in tsunami disaster mitigation efforts in Tanggamus Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Customer Service in increasing customer satisfaction with banking services of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Tehoru Unit Masohi Branch Central Maluku. This research uses qualitative methods of data collection through interviews, observation, direct observation and primary data. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the efforts of the role of Customer Service in increasing customer satisfaction with banking services have been included in the good category and have been in accordance with what is expected by customers so as to get a positive assessment of customers.

Abstract

The importance of understanding the four pillars of nationalism in the life of the nation and state for today's young generation, especially nationalism, is so that youth have the values of national insight and patriotism in themselves so that they have a sense of responsibility in providing the best for their country. To fulfill this, the youth must have creative and innovative ideas and ideas in building the nation and state. The four pillars of nationalism consisting of Pancasila, Undang-Undang Dasar Tahun 1945, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia have the value of moral principles to achieve the life of an independent, sovereign, just and prosperous Indonesian nation as stated in the goals of the Nation and state in the UUD Negara Republik Indonesia tahun 1945. This is reflected that these 4 pillars have important purposes and meanings and are useful for current and future generations. It should be realized by today's youth that the younger generation must be required to face all the challenges that exist today, namely globalization which is very extraordinary in affecting the sense of nationalism of youth. We can also see the many law violations that occur committed by youth as a result of the lack of actualizing the values of the 4 pillars of nationalism in family life, society and the nation and state. As for other efforts that can be made to foster a sense of nationalism, namely by making a work with the theme of love for the country, heroism, and so on that is national in nature so that in the process of making the work the younger generation will be reminded of the struggles of the nation's heroes before and thus a sense of nationalism in themselves will be embedded and grow in their souls. Related to the above, there are actually many positive activities that can be carried out by young people to build their country so that the sense of nationalism can be maintained.

Abstract

With the issuance of Ministerial Regulation of the Ministry of Fisheries Number 56 of 2016 concerning catching lobsters, crabs and blue swimming crabs, it can encourage the development of lobster farming businesses. The main problem in lobster nursery activities (Panulirus spp) is still having problems, namely the low survival rate at the juvenile lobster stage. This is presumably due to water quality, especially the low oxygen demand. Another factor is the cannibalistic nature of the juvenile lobsters. This service activity aims to provide understanding to the community, especially lobster collectors in Rangai Tri Tunggal Village, Katibung District regarding the application of airlift technology in lobster hatchery activities. In general, the level of knowledge and skills of group members regarding the manufacture of airlift diffusers is still low, namely 10%. However, after the training was held, knowledge and skills increased to 75%. Airlift diffuser technology is very appropriate to be used to help overcome production costs by reducing the use of electrical energy to assist in maintaining and managing water quality. Lobster cultivation can be used as a community business on a small scale and can be used as an alternative when there are restrictions on lobsters with sizes below those specified in KP Ministerial Decree No. 56 of 2016.
