The low learning achievement in science subjects especially about finding alternative energy sources is shown with the average grade grade 62,50 while the value of KKM 75 so that experimental learning through multimedia IPA with CTL model makes learning becomes interesting and meaningful for students. With details of two classes for field test. 24 students as treatment class that is class of VA SDN and 22 students as control class in VB SDN Wiyung 1 Surabaya. This experimental study was conducted to measure the effect before treatment was given (multimedia IPA with CTL) and after being given IPA multimedia treatment with CTL. Sheet of research instrument used in the form of interview sheet and questionnaire of student response to multimedia IPA as well as test sheet to measure learning result. The results show that the post-test average is higher than the average pre-test. Means multimedia with CTL in learning to give effect on the results of learning IPA magnitude increase occurred based on the calculation is 12.25%.Keywords: contextual teaching learning, multimedia, science education.

Saturation of the students to the learning effect on student learning outcomes is unsatisfactory. Teacher as facilitator in learning process needs a media that can enhance students' interest in participating in learning activities, one of which is the puppet media Kerton (paperboard). It is intended that the learning process can be effective, innovative, creative, and imaginative. The type of this research is research and development (RD). Subjects of the research in this study were 25 students of class. The result of the development media is puppets Kerton (paperboard). Media validation results at the first obtained 65% and the second media validation obtained percentage of 95%. The results of the validation expert guidance material on the first obtained 66.6% with the results of expert validation and guidance material on the second obtained 90.6%. Products that have been validated will be tested on all students. Average of students’ pretest score is 71.70, while the average of students’ post test score is 85.03. Results N gain is 0.52, which showed moderate criteria. It shows the puppet media Kerton (paperboard) fit for use as a media of learning because it can improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: media, puppets, cardboard.

The aim of this research is to increasing the students’ motivation and study result IPS in material kenampkan alam dan kenampakan alam negara-negara tetangga fourth grade of elementary school. This research used classroom action research method. The action was doing 2 times on two cycles. Every cycle consist at 3 meeting in class. This cycle consist at 4 steps such as planning, action, monitoring and reflection. The data were collecting in four months, starting from September until December 2016. The subject of this research is seventeen students at fourth grade of SDN 2 Tutup Blora. This class consist at 4 male and 13 female students. The conclusion of this research reported that Group Investigation teaching model could increased the students’ motivation and study result in fourth grade of SDN 2 Tutup Blora.Â

The literature-based learning model is used to create a 15 minute reading activity before learning becomes a fun, varied activity and to increase reading interest as well as the ability to respond to learners' books. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Which one of the aims is to reveal and describe the process stages of the literature based model applied to the school literacy movement program in reading activities 15 minutes before learning. This event lasted for ten times in class V Cikancung State Elementary School. The findings of of this study are: learners reading interest increased 97%, which 70% in the middle increase category, and 27% else in the lower one. The remaining, 3% learners has no increasing of reading interest.Keywords: literature-based learning, reading interest, school literacy movement program.

The ability of scientific literacy important to have learners in understanding the environment, economy and problems in modern society. One effort to improve science literacy through the analysis of textbooks. This research analyzes aspects of scientific literacy in the fifth grade elementary science textbooks. Aspects of scientific literacy are analyzed include science as a way of thinking and the interaction of science, technology society. This type of research is descriptive, to collect data in the form of documentation. One book as a whole has been analyzed and generate different presentation of scientific literacy, namely:Â 5.8% (aspects of science as a way of thinking) and 1.2% (aspects of the interaction of science, technology and society). The second aspect is still slightly presented in each chapter. Even aspects of the interaction of science, technology and society only appears in Chapter 7 (7.4%) and Chapter 4 (0.5%). The following findings indicate that this book does not emphasize material support on the acquisition process and context.Keywords: science literacy; way of thinking; the interaction of science, technology and society; analysis of textbooks.

The aim of this research is to provide an overview of empirical research to the student prosocial behavior in elementary school. The approach used to examine the student prosocial behavior is a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population is 84 high-grade student's SD Miftahul Iman Year 2015/2016. Results show that the overall level of prosocial behavior is the adequate category with average value of 1.89, which indicates that students are already quite capable of showing their prosocial behavior but still require the guidance of a counselor or teacher. Based on sex, there is difference but not significant in the average value of prosocial behavior among girl and boy students.Keywords: prosocial behavior, elementary student, sex difference.

Media plays an important role in the learning process. Many research results reveal the media give effect to the improvement of student learning outcomes. Initial findings of the research in Grade V SDN Sindangjati, Paseh-Sumedang showed that students have low historical thinking skills because the subject of history study in IPS subjects contains abstract facts, which are difficult to understand what made the students difficult to remember when and what happens in historical events as part of historical thinking skill. Efforts were made to overcome these problems by using the media timelines chart. The result of research using Classroom Action Research Method shows that the media timelines chart can increase the historical thinking skill. The improvement can be seen from the increasing percentage of historical thinking skill in cycle I which was 62.50% then, becoming 87.50% in cycle II. It means that the media timelines chart in learning IPS material of Proclamation historical events can increase historical thinking skills. This means that the historical thinking test of social studies learning historical material of the Proclamation event has fulfilled the targeted objective of 84.38%.

Low mathematics learning outcomes and student activeness due to lack of effective learning model in optimizing students’ ability and motivation. The formulation of this research problem is whether the learning model Number Head Together (NHT) with the help of effective discovery method to the result of student learning class III. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the model with the help of the method of discovery of learning mathematics class III SDN Mewek. Pre-experimental method used in this research, which tests, documentation study, and observation sheet as its instruments. Based on the results of the final analysis that has been done visible from the percentage of mastery learning aiswa show learning without using learning model NHT as 5 students who completed with 25% percent and 15 students have not completed with the percentage 75%. Whereas after being given (posttest) treatment using NHT learning model and pizza media fractions that complete 16 students with percentage 80% and 4 students have not completed with percentage 20%. It is reinforced by t-test, that students’ achievement has been increased significantly by NHT model.

This study aims to see the influence of open-ended and scientific approach to improving mathematical connection ability of elementary school students. This study is a quasi experimental research, with the design used is "pretest-posttest two treatman design". The population as well as the sample in this research is all the students of grade v of elementary school in SDN 016 Bangkinang Kota. The instrument used in data collection is a mathematical connection test of the description form. The result of the research shows that the learning of mathematics both open-ended and scientific approach have the same effect in improving mathematic connection ability of elementary school students. If reviewed under the category of student ability, high group connection capabilities with a scientific approach are as good as high-group connection capabilities in an open-ended approach. The ability of a moderate group connection with a scientific approach is better than group connection capability is in an open-ended approach. Also in low-group connection capabilities with a scientific approach as well as a low-group connection capability in an open-ended approach. Based on the results of this study, then the learning of mathematics with scientific and open-ended approach can be used as one of the learning that can be applied in an effort to improve the ability of students, especially the ability of mathematical connections of elementary school students.Keywords: open-ended, scientific, mathematical connection ability, elementary students.

Teacher is one of the important keys in implementing education process. A teacher must fulfil his functions and obligations as an educator. The main task for teachers is conducting a learning process in schools. This research focuses on analyzing PPL students’s competence of UPI Sumedang class of 2012 in conducting a teaching learning process in schools. The teaching learning process consists of making teaching and learning plan and also implementing teaching and learning activities in the class. Qualitative approach which is a descriptive analysis was applied in this research. The result of the research shows that (1) in preparing teaching learning process, in general, the students achieved the competence to make teaching and learning plan by having mean score 3,5; (2) in conducting teaching and learning activities in the class, the students also achieved the mean score 3,5. Both scores proved that the students can prepare and conduct the teaching learning process relatively well.Keywords: teacher, PPL, lesson plan, teaching learning process.
