Abstract

Functional position is applied for librarians who work in the library of government agency or librarian of Civil State Apparatus. The implementation of functional position is the effort to assign and measure the performance of librarian through the assessment system of work implementation with credit numbers. Librarian as profession and functional position is demanded to have good performance in doing his/her task and function. Librarians perform professional performance in the field of library based on Permenpan Reformasi Birokrasi No. 9 tahun 2014 (Regulation of the Minister of the State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Number 9 Year 2014). How is the perception of librarian in that regulation? Does this perception influence the implementation of performance standard in library? Both questions are studied by using descriptive quantitative method and the research sample is purposive sampling, which use 14 librarians in central library of Indonesia University of Education. Fifty percent of librarians agree, and 36 % of them very agree that the cluster, task, function, and stage of librarian functional position concretely provide explanation and comprehension in doing their performance. Fifty four percent of respondents significantly agree while 23% of them very agree that their comprehension in the standard of professional performance contributes to the implementation of performance, which includes quality, quantity, and teamwork.

Abstract

Abstrak. Fiksi merupakan salah satu jenis koleksi yang perlu dimiliki oleh perpustakaan. Fiksi terdiri atas fiksi dalam negeri dan fiksi terjemahan. Pemilihannya tidak hanya berdasarkan pada unsur hiburan, melainkan juga kriteria lain seperti pencapaian perkembangan pembaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran fiksi remaja terjemahan dalam pencapaian perkembangan remaja pada aspek kognitif, sosial, dan afektif. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi pengembangan ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi, terutama berkaitan dengan teori seleksi fiksi dan biblioterapi. Sementara secara praktis, penelitian ini memberikan manfaat bagi pihak penyelenggara Pitimoss Fun Library dan peneliti selanjutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sementara metode penelitian yang dipilih ialah metode deskriptif dengan model studi kasus interpretatif. Jawaban atas pertanyaan penelitian diperoleh dari keterangan enam informan dan satu informan kunci. Enam informan dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Sementara informan kunci merupakan seorang biblioterapis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, telaah dokumen, dan pencarian data online. Keseluruhan data penelitian yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fiksi remaja terjemahan yang tersedia di Pitimoss Fun Library memiliki peran dalam pencapaian ketiga aspek perkembangan. Kendati begitu, peranan ini tidak hanya berlaku satu arah. Sebab pencapaian aspek perkembangan remaja juga menentukan seberapa besar peran dari pengalaman membaca serta tanggapan atas muatan kontroversial dalam fiksi remaja terjemahan. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh Pitimoss Fun Library untuk memaksimalkan peran fiksi remaja terjemahan ialah dengan menjadikan perkembangan remaja sebagai kriteria pengadaan koleksi serta pemberian bimbingan dan rekomendasi bacaan yang sesuai dengan usia perkembangan dan usia kronologis pemustaka.Kata Kunci: fiksi remaja terjemahan, pengembangan koleksi fiksi, perkembangan remaja, Pitimoss Fun LibraryAbstract. Library has to provide fiction as one of its collection. There are two kind of fictions; national fiction and translated fiction. Its selection is not only based on amusement function, but also its role to help readers developing themselves. This research aims to describe the roles of translated young adult fiction in achievement of three aspects of young adult development. Those aspects are cognitive, social, and affective. Theoritically, this research gives advantages for library and information science, especially for developing selection theory and bibliotheraphy. Practically, the advantages those are given by this research are tended to caretakers of Pitimoss Fun Library and other researchers. This reasearch is done by using qualitative approach.Meanwhile, descriptive method is chosen with case study interpretative as its model. The answers of research questions are based on explanation of six informants and key informant. Six informants are chosen by purposive sampling technique. Meanwhile, key informant is a bibliotheraphist. Observation, interview, document study, and  online searching are techniques those are used for collecting data. Research data are analyzed by narrative analysis technique. The result shows the two-way relation between translated young adult fiction and developmental achievement. Translated young adult fictions those are provided by Pitimoss Library have roles in achievement of three aspects of young adult development. Even so, developmental achievement also determines the effectiveness of translated fiction roles for young adults. It also helps them to react to controversial issues. The roles of translated young adult fiction can be maximized if Pitimoss Fun Library doing some efforts, such us involving developmental needs as one of selection criteria, also giving guidance and books recommendation for the members based on their developmental and chronological age.Keywords: collection development, Pitimoss Fun Library, translated young adult fiction, young adult development

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh perkembangan teknologi dan informasi sehingga website dimanfaatkan oleh perpustakaan untuk memberikan pelayanan informasi kepada pemustaka. Permasalahan yang ada dalam penelitian ini adalah sejauh mana pemanfaatan website perpustakaan UPT BIT LIPI dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi bagi pemustaka, apakah konten website perpustakaan relevan dengan informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh pemustaka, apakah desain website perpustakaan dapat meningkatkan minat pemustaka dalam menelusur informasi melalui website perpustakaan UPT BIT LIPI, apakah permasalahan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi yang dihadapi oleh pemustaka terbantu dengan adanya website perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa website perpustakaan UPT BIT LIPI sudah bermanfaat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi, konten website perpustakaan UPT BIT LIPI sudah relevan apabila  dilihat dari informasi yang tersedia di perpustakaan dan di website, mutakhir dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan ilmiah, desain website perpustakaan dapat meningkatkan minat pemustaka untuk menelusur informasi melalui website perpustakaan UPT BIT LIPI, permasalahan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi yang dihadapi oleh pemustaka terbantu dengan adanya website perpustakaan. Implikasi dari penelitian bahwa untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan website perpustakaan maka harus selalu berorientasi terhadap konten, desain, dan kebutuhan informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka.

Abstract

Abstrak. Proses pembangunan perdesaan membutuhkan peran seluruh kelompok masyarakat, termasuk peran kaum perempuan perdesaan. Upaya peningkatan peran perempuan perdesaan dalam pembangunan dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai cara. Salah satunya adalah melalui pendidikan literasi media yang akan menghasilkan kelompok perempuan yang mampu menjadi agen-agen perubahan di perdesaan dengan keterampilan mereka dalam memantau dan mengkritisi konten media khususnya tayangan televisi. Selama ini perempuan perdesaan cenderung tidak berdaya menghadapi kepungan media elektronik televisi. Salah satu faktor yang melatarbelakanginya adalah ketidakmelekan kaum perempuan perdesaan terhadap hak mereka mengkritisi dan memantau tayangan televisi. Di luar permasalahan tersebut, kaum perempuan perdesaan memiliki potensi besar dalam memperbaiki kualitas tayangan televisi karena mereka adalah yang penonton terbanyak tayangan televisi. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pendidikan literasi media sebagai upaya peningkatan peran perempuan perdesaan dalam pembanguan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan focus group discussion (FGD) serta teknik analisis data deskriptif dengan informan penelitian adalah kaum perempuan perdesaan di Kabupaten Majalengka, fasilitator literasi media, anggota Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia, dan para pejabat terkait.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan literasi media memiliki peran signifikan dalam upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi yang bermanfaat bagi kaum perempuan perdesaan, dan memberikan kesadaran akan hak mereka mengkritisi dan memantau tayangan televisi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan untuk merancang suatu model pendidikan literasi media bagi kaum perempuan perdesaan yang dapat diimplementasikan di daerah lain di Indonesia. Kata Kunci : Literasi Media, Perempuan Perdesaan, Peningkatan Peran, Tayangan Televisi, Kabupaten Majalengka. Abstract. The process of rural development requires the role of all groups in a society, including the role of rural women. Efforts to increase the role of rural women in development can be conducted through various ways, one of which is through media literacy education that will produce a group of women who will be able to become agents of change in rural areas with their skills in monitoring and critiquing the content of media especially television. All this time, rural women tend to be helpless in facing the siege of television electronic media. One of the factors underlying it is their illiteracy of their rights to criticize and monitor television broadcasts. On the other hand, rural women have great potential in improving the quality of television broadcasts because they form the most television viewers. This research aims to find out how media literacy education can increase the role of rural women in development. This research used qualitative method and the respondents consisted of a group of rural women from Majalengka regency, media literacy facilitators, members of Indonesia Broadcasting Commission (KPI) and the relevant government officials. The data was collected through interview and focus group discussion (FGD) and analyzed descriptively. The results found that media literacy education had significant role in addressing the needs of useful information for rural women and made them aware of their rights to criticize and monitor television broadcast. This research also recommends a model of media literacy education for rural women that can be implemented in other rural areas in Indonesia. Keywords: media literacy, rural women, increased role, television broadcast

Abstract

This account derives from various resources on basic concepts of bibliotherapy including its history, understanding, values, and limitations. Study on the basic concepts results in some explanation about the principles of bibliotherapy, the strategies of conducting bibliotherapy with accuracy based on the aim and its kind of problem faced. Results of the study will be beneficial for librarians, psychologists, and teachers who are interested in learning about how books serve as a tool needed by users, clients, or learners at large who have psychological troubles.

Abstract

Abstrak. Museum menjadi aset bernilai sejarah yang monumental dan sarat dengan misi pendidikan dari generasi ke generasi. Museum pada umumnya menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan dana. Pengelolaan dana terutama yang mendukung keberlanjutan pemeliharaan, perbaikan, dan perawatan museum agar dapat melayani masyarakat lebih baik dan profesional. Kendala tersebut pada dasarnya akan selalu terkait dengan manajemen kelembagaan museum. Informasi yang diolah dalam karya ilmiah ini merupakan hasil elaborasi dari studi literatur dan simpulan studi hasil penelitian terdahulu. Artikel ilmiah ini membahas aspek kelembagaan museum meliputi pertama, profil museum dari segi sarana prasarana, SDM, koleksi; kedua aspek legal formal nomenklatur dan payung hukum; ketiga, aspek organisasi lembaga termasuk di dalamnya tugas, fungsi, wewenang, dan tanggung jawab lembaga penaung; keempat, pola koordinasi, kerjasama, dan hubungan kelembagaan museum dengan instansi terkait; kelima, studi kasusrevitalisasi kegiatan permuseuman yang mengarah pada kebijakan pengelolaankelembahgaan museum yang profesional. Pembahasaan tentang manajemen kelembagaan museum ini berguna, pertama bagi pengembangan wawasan keilmuan informasi dan perpustakaan, khususnya kelembagaan informasi selain perpustakaan. Kedua, memberikan gambaran mengenai tata kelola museum di instansi pemerintah. Ketiga, batasan lingkup kajian baru sebatas manajemen kelembagaan museum di instansi pemerintah, sehingga perlu adanya  pengembangan kajian manajemen kelembagaan museum untuk tipe museumlainnya, seperti museum yang dikelola swasta maupun pribadi.Kata kunci: gawitra, kelembagaan informasi, manajemen, museum.Abstract. Museums are monumental historical assets and laden with educational mission from generation to generation. Museums in general face constraints in fund management especially to support the sustainability, repair, and maintenance of the museums in order to serve the public better and professionally. These constraints will basically always be associated with the museums' institutional management. The information processed in this paper is an elaboration of literature study and conclusions of previous studies. This scientific article discusses the institutional aspects of museums including first, the museums' profile in terms of infrastructure, human resources, collection; second, the formal legal aspects of nomenclature and legal protection; third, the institutions' organizational aspects including tasks, functions, authority, and responsibilities of the sheltering institutions; fourth, the pattern of coordination, cooperation and institutional relations museum with other relevant institutions; and fifth, case studies of revitalization of museum activities that lead to institutional management policies of professional museums.Discussion on of the institutional management of museums is useful, first, for thedevelopment of information and library science, particularly institution of information in addition to the library. Second, it provides an overview of the governance of the museum in government institutions. Third, the scope of study is limited to institutional management of museums in government institutions, thus there is a need for the development of studies on institutional management of museums for other types of museums, such as museums that are managed by private or personal institutions.Keywords: Gawitra, information institution, management, museum.

Abstract

Communication is an activity that can not be released in everyday human life. So also in the activities of the library, communication activities are suatau activities that are not separated in the activities of everyday librarians. Especially when referring to the core competence of librarians there are at least two communication activities that are often done ielibrary service activities and library promotion. The success of a librarian as a communicator in delivering communication messages on service activities, counseling and technical guidance library, one of which is determined by the aspect of communicator or speaker (resource). One aspect of the communicator in conveying his communication message is the ability of how when delivering messages verbal communication or better known as paralinguistik. Parallelistic ability will be a speaker's attractiveness aspect (source atrrativeness) and this aspect will be the basis for building participants' perceptions of the credibility of a speaker. Therefore, the understanding of the paralinguisitik aspect becomesimportant for a counselor, including in this case the librarian when going to conduct extension activities and tennis guidance about the library.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of study was to determine user satisfaction toward credibility of staff library service at Library and Scientific Information Center at Economics and Business Faculty, University of Padjadjaran (FEB UNPAD). The research of library staff's credibility based on perceptions and expectations (minimum and maximum expectations). There are three components to measure in this study:(1)Trustworthiness, (2) Expertise, and (3) Fascination. The population in this study is determined based on the number of users who come to the P2I2 of FEB UNPAD. Sampling technique that used in this study is Purposive Sampling with 99 people as sample. Data was collected by questionnaire, conduct observation, and literature study. The results showed that overall users are coming to the P2I2 of FEB UNPAD were satisfied with the services. This user satisfaction based on the gap (gap) between the perceptions and expectations of service users indicates that the P2I2 of FEB UNPAD has good credibility and is in " zone of tolerance ", in other words the services provided by library's staff at Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University, has meet the user's expectations.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh koleksi tercetak yang merupakan salah satu modal bagi perpustakaan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna sehingga tercipta rasa puas. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana ketersediaan koleksi tercetak dalam memenuhi kepuasan pengguna pada Perpustakaan ITB? Tujuan penelitian untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang ketersediaan koleksi tercetak dalam memenuhi kepuasan pengguna pada Perpustakaan ITB, memperoleh gambaran tentang kelengkapan koleksi tercetak, kerelevanan koleksi tercetak dan kemutakhiran koleksi tercetak dalam memenuhi kepuasan pengguna pada  Perpustakaan ITB. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 24.240 pengguna pada bulan februari 2013 dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa ketersediaan koleksi tercetak telah memenuhi kepuasan pengguna, koleksi tercetak yang tersedia di perpustakaan ITB lengkap, relevan dan mutakhir sehingga pengguna merasa puas. Implikasi dari penelitian bahwa untuk mengoptimalkan ketersediaan koleksi tercetak Perpustakaan ITB harus selalu berorientasi kepada kebutuhan pengguna.

Abstract

Abstrak. Perpustakaan merupakan bagian integral dilingkungan sekolah, oleh karena itu perlu adanya kerjasama dalam memaksimalkan potensi layanan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan jawaban dari rumusan kerjasama antara guru dengan pustakawan dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah di Perpustakaan SD Hikmah Teladan. Selain dari itu untuk mengetahui bentuk kerjasama dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah dan untuk mengetahui kriteria layanan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat kerjasama antara guru dengan pustakawan dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah. kerjasama penting untuk dilakukan guna mengoptimalkan potensi layanan perpustakaan sekolah. kerjasama yang dilakukan yaitu dalam bentuk pelaksanaan program kegiatan perpustakaan, pembinaan minat baca, promosi perpustakaan dan pembinaan koleksi. Perpustakaan SD Hikmah Teladan sebagai perpustakaan sekolah perlu melakukan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak secara terus menerus dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah.Kata kunci: kerjasama guru dengan pustakawan, layanan perpustakaan, pustakawan sekolahAbstract. The library is an integral part of the school environment, therefore the need for cooperation in maximizing the potential of school library services. This research is done to find the answer from the formula of cooperation between teachers and librarians in the school library services in elementary school libraries Hikmah Teladan. Aside from that to determine the form of cooperation in the school library services and to determine the criteria for school library services, theoretically and practically expected results of this study can be useful for SD Hikmah Teladan Library. The technique used for sampling is non-random sampling technique. Data collected by interview, observation and documentation. Data processing techniques carried out by way of data reduction, data analysis and conclusion. The results showed that there is cooperation between teachers and librarians in the school library service. Cooperation is important to do in order to optimize the potential of school library services. cooperation carried out in the form of implementation of the program of activities of the library, development of reading, and library promotion and development of the collection.
