Abstract

Javanese Pop Music holds substantial potential for global recognition; however, its international reach remains limited due to the absence of structured strategies for cultural adaptation, collaboration, and digital ecosystem management. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of glocalization strategies—including cross-cultural adaptation, digital streaming platforms, international collaboration, and fan community engagement—in expanding the global presence of Javanese Pop Music. A quantitative survey was conducted with 100 industry practitioners (musicians, producers, and managers), and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, mediation, and moderation tests via SPSS 26. The findings reveal that all four glocalization strategies significantly and positively influence the global dissemination of Javanese Pop Music (R² = 0.632). Brand Image mediates the effect of cross-cultural adaptation (p = 0.007), while Fan Engagement mediates the impact of streaming platforms (p = 0.004). Market Orientation strengthens the role of international collaborations (ΔR² = 0.039), and local government support enhances the contribution of fan communities (ΔR² = 0.042). These results affirm that global success is not solely driven by creative production, but by the synergy of cultural strategy, digital infrastructure, community participation, and institutional support. In conclusion, a well-orchestrated glocalization approach can elevate Javanese Pop Music beyond an ethnic commodity into a competitive and sustainable model of cultural diplomacy.

Abstract

The study focuses on developing a model of pro-environmental behaviour. Another pressing matter is determining whether pro-environmental behaviour is voluntary or non-voluntary. This study examines the impact of social pressure and pro-environmental self-identity on such behaviour, with pro-environmental views acting as a mediator variable. The study employed a positivist paradigm and used quantitative techniques in the form of an online survey. The research design involved a diverse group of participants, including adolescents and adults from Indonesia. A total of 653 Indonesian respondents were selected from various islands in Indonesia. Using Smart PLS to analyse the data, this study demonstrates that social pressure and pro-environmental self-identity substantially and favourably impact pro-environmental attitudes, based on empirical evidence. Recent research shows that pro-environmental activity in Indonesian society tends to be voluntary rather than compulsory.  This study provides empirical evidence that the combination of social influence and self-identity theories can effectively explain voluntary pro-environmental behaviour.

Abstract

Industrial sustainability in process-intensive pulp and paper operations depends heavily on systems that govern daily work. This study examines how a coordinated Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) architecture translates into Employee Green Behavior (EGB), Modeling GHRM as a formative higher-order construct integrating recruitment, training, appraisal, rewards, and participation. Data from 380 employees were analyzed using PLS-SEM. The methodology includes rigorous diagnostic checks for endogeneity, predictive accuracy, and measurement invariance. The results confirm a sequential signal-to-conduct mechanism where GHRM shapes a Green Psychological Climate, which nurtures Environmental Commitment and ultimately drives EGB. A significant direct path from the GHRM bundle to behavior remains, suggesting that practices such as training scripts and appraisal dialogue nudge conduct immediately at the point of work. This mechanism is plant-wide and stable across the production, administrative roles, and tenure bands. Practically, organizations can achieve visible stewardship gains without new capital investment by sharpening training scripts, incorporating environmental evidence into performance appraisals, and maintaining low-friction participation channels. These findings clarify how environmental priorities become normal, rather than exceptional, in high-reliability industrial facilities.

Abstract

Tourism destinations face increasing pressure to achieve marketing performance that is both competitive and environmentally and socially sustainable. Although dynamic marketing capabilities (DMC) are widely recognized as crucial for adapting to market changes, empirical evidence on how these capabilities translate into sustainable marketing performance remains limited. Grounded in dynamic capability theory and ambidexterity logic, this study investigates the mediating role of sustainable market innovation ambidexterity (SMIA) in the relationship between DMC and sustainable marketing performance in the tourism industry. Survey data were collected from tourism enterprises, including hotels, travel agencies, tourism villages, and tourist attractions in Central Java, Indonesia. Structural equation modeling was employed to examine both direct and indirect relationships. The findings reveal that DMC has a significant positive effect on sustainable marketing performance, both directly and indirectly through SMIA. Furthermore, balancing sustainable market innovation ambidexterity emerges as a critical mechanism through which dynamic marketing capabilities are transformed into superior and sustainable marketing outcomes. This study contributes to tourism marketing literature by integrating dynamic marketing capabilities with sustainable market innovation ambidexterity, thereby extending capability-based performance frameworks. Managerially, the results offer strategic insights for tourism practitioners to develop adaptive and sustainability-oriented marketing strategies in dynamic environments.
