Abstract

Untill predominate out-comes of the College  are job seeker.  Tochange  the mind set  them to become the job creator presumably need aneffort, stock purchasing and  giving of capital entrepreneur. Therefore noits bad if the student FKIP to made as a professional teacher candidate,also given entrepreneur lecturer.  This lecturer is programmed in anpackage: KWU in the field of offset printing skill. Target of this activity is:(a) develop the culture of entrepreneur in PT, (b) the student have thestock of science and skill of offset printing area, (c) student have theknowledge  about trick of the trade, developing idea of effort, managingeffort, marketing strategy and obtain;get the capital employed, (d)student have the readiness of business. The target of this activity are 30student’s of FKIP in semester VI from various program. Lecturing methodcover the discourse, discussion, duty, question and answer, compilationof proposal business, seminar proposal, simulation and also practice inprinting office. Resistance met by execution KWU at the same time bylecturer fundamental so that execution entrepreneur delayed. Finally theenterpreur program are  executed  after even semester test 2006 finishing.Activity exterior for example; 1) piled up over by module entrepreneur,vision of business mission, career tuition, credit system of this effort; 2)piled up over by proposal business in group; 3) the expected  after studentpass, 25 % participant earn the entrepreneur offset printing.

Abstract

IPS  dengan  platform  keruangan  (spasial)  Geografi  menuntut  kemampuan  guru  geografi dapaT men yajikankan secara   terpadu   hubungan manusia dengan lingkungannya (integrative social      studies), bukan sebagai pendidikan disiplin ilmu. Kompetensi profesional    guru geografi   untuk   dapat   men yajikan   materi secara keruangan, disebut sebagai  kompetensi pembelajaran   spasial,   menjadi   ukuran   profesionalitas   guru   geografi mendidik  untuk mengenali  dan  memahami  interelasi,  interkoneksi,  dan interdependensi antar obyek-obyek material Geografi. Pembentukan spatial knowledge bagi peserta didik akan  tercipta  apabila guru   memiliki    spatial   competency   dimana   mampu   men yediakan sendiri  peta  yang merujuk  Standar  Nasional  Indonesia  (SNI),  yaitu  dengan  seri  6502.X-2010 sebagai media pembelajaran Geografi. Hasil surve y yang dilakukan oleh Tim Dosen Pendidikan  Geografi UMS  terhadap  guru-guru  Geografi  di  SMA  di  berbagai  kota  di  Jawa  dan  Luar  Jawa didapati  bahwa  kemampuan  spatial  guru  masih  rendah  hal   serta  kurangnya  alat  yang mendukung untuk pengembangan kemampuan spasial baik secara hard maupun softprogram yaitu   program  ArcGis.10.2.  Permasalahan  mitra  adalah   (1) Guru   Geografi belum dapat membuat media pembelajaran spasial untuk media proses pembelajaran Mata Pelajaran Geografi sesuai standar SNI 6502.X-2010, (2) Belum memahami cara membaca dan menginterpretasi peta/citra/penginderaan jauh  untuk  pembelajaran Geografi,  (3)  Belum memahami penerapan pengetahuan spasial dalam  proses pembelajaran. Pengabdian dilakukan untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan   spasial   guru      Geografi   di    Sukoharjo   melalui   Model   Peta   yang  telah dikembangkan oleh Pendidikan Geografi UMS. Model Peta tepat diimplementasikan pada  guru- guru  Geografi  SMA  di  Sukoharjo  karena  dapat  merupakan solusi dari permasalahan mitra, melalui quality  control dari  guru  terpilih  maka  dapat mentransfer kepada guru-guru yang lain sehingga guru dapat membuat produk media pembelajaran spasial secara mandiri.

Abstract

Onion Agriculture has benefited farmers, but the benefits are very small ascompared with production costs that have been published. This is consistent with the results of research Rosyadi (2009) which states that the level of profit is not sufficient to meet the needs of peasant household economy. Or in other words, onion farm in the location of the study did not provide significant benefits for the economy of peasant households. To solve the problems encountered, partner activities and implementation team agreed that this method is appropriate is the format of training and consultancy services “Implementation of Working Capital Management At the Onion Farm.” Indicators of success of this activity can be seen from some important things that are revealed through in-depth interview participants. Based on in-depth interview is known that onion farmers to understand the importance of working capital management and practice how to manage working capital well, efficiently and effectively. IbM event has implications for government policy for the district soon realized: (a) the availability of new varieties that productive, adaptive and resistant to pests or diseases, (b) availability of production technology and management of quality seeds, the concept of quality assurance and standardization as the first step to build a national seed industry a strong and independent, (c) Availability of environmentally friendly agricultural technologies and efficient by utilizing local resources in an optimal and sustained to produce horticultural products are the opportunities and open to the emergence of a modern and efficient industrial facilities in various regions, (d ) The availability of pest or disease control technology based on the use of natural enemies and reducing synthetic pesticides as low as possible, (e) The availability of postharvest technology for efficient packaging, conservation of fresh quality, product diversification is associated with increased value-added horticultural industry. So the activity is generally considered a success based on in-depth interviews that reveal some things about: (i) working capital management with a good, efficient and effective, (ii) pass the cost efficiency of production, (iii) allocating cash and stock in order to maintain the sustainability of agricultural onion, ( iv) understand and can do proper financial planning and benefits of capital budgeting and (v) increase the working capital of onion farming.

Abstract

Tujuan program ini adalah mengetahui langkah-langkah pelatihan mutu kerjasama dan mengoptimalkan pelatihan manajemen mutu kerjasama. Hal ini didasari pada permasalahan yang terjadi pada mitra yaitu kurangnya perhatian Kepala Sekolah dalam kerjasama lembaga, Bentuk kerjasama-kerjasama yang dimiliki oleh sekolah kurang maksimal, dan terbatasnya sumber dana yang dimiliki sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu.Target luaran dalam pengabdian ini adalah Modul Pelatihan Manajemen Mutu   Kabupaten dan Kota Magelang Kepala Sekolah Sebagai  Penunjang Kualitas Dan Akreditasi  Sekolah Dasar. Target ini meliputi beberapa aspek: 1) Model pelatihan manajemen sebagai penunjang mutu dan akreditasi sekolah dasar di Kabupaten-Kota Magelang. 2) Pemahaman Kepala Sekolah tentang pentingnya dan manfaat dari manajemen mutu kerjasama. 3) Kemampuan menyusun rencana strategis, dan tindak lanjut kerjsama Sekolah Dasar.Pelatihan yang diikuti oleh 25 kepala Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten dan Kota Magelang ini, menggunakan model pelatihan yang tertutup dengan  keuntungan penggunaan model ini yaitu: 1) Menerangkan beberapa aspek dari perilaku manusia dan interaksi, 2) Mengintegrasikan apa yang akan diketahui dengan observasi, 3) Penyederhanaan proses hubungan antar manusia yang kompleks, 4) Membimbing observasi. Pelatihan dalam program pengabdian ini memiliki aspek yaitu, mengidentifikasi kebutuhan organisasi, penilaian dan umpan balik, spesifikasi pekerjaan, identifikasi kebutuhan peserta pelatihan, menentukan tujuan, membuat kurikulum, memilih strategi pengajaran, dan pengadaan sumber–sumber pengajaran, pelaksanaan pelatihan. Efektifitas pelatihan  dilihat pengkuruan awal yaitu menggunakan pretest diperoleh skor pemahaman awal dengan persentase 67,4% dan pengukuran akhir dalam bentuk postest dengan persentase 82,95%. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman tentang manajemen mutu kerjasama sekolah sebesar, terjadi peningkatan 15,55% dalam tahap pelatihan. Hal ini menunjukan efektifitas model pelatihan mutu kerjasama.

Abstract

kill about using LEGO in mathematics teaching and learning to mathematics teachers. This conducted into three stages of training and two stages of real teaching. The stages of the training were introducing the use of LEGO in mathematics teaching and learning, designing sets of teaching and learning activities using LEGO as the media, and peer teaching. The real teaching conducted in two stages of three meetings for each stages. Twelve mathematics teachers from five schools of Muhammadiyah in Surakarta were participated in this training. The teachers have technically trained with new experiences using LEGO as media in mathematics learning and have developed five sets of lesson plans for the topics of fractions, sets, proportion, linear equation with one variable, and statistics. The real teaching for the topic of fractions was conducted in two of those five schools. The results indicate the learning activities designed support students understanding and attitude in mathematics.

Abstract

The aim of the society services through the air broadcast in Radio of Indonesian Republic of Surakarta were: (1) to improve the society’s motivation, especially for them who were students in order to appreciate the literature; (2) to improve the society’s concerns, especially for those who students in improving their literature appreciation ability in order to attain the man who has wise character because the literature have the education values which could be the basic consideration in conducting the behaviour; (3) to enlarge the listeners’  knowledge, especilly for the students who need the knowledge of linguistics, literature, and its teaching; (4) to create the institution cooperation between the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and the government institution i.e. Radio of Indonesian Republic o f Surakarta. The social service was conducted in RRI Surakarta, in the form of speech broadcast, based on the paper prepared before. The broadcast activity is conducted by recording before its on air. The recording process used the facility of RRI Surakarta by the guidance of RRI Surakarta staff as the responsible or the recording section. The broadcast is delivered by a speaker with the different topics but in the same theme. The broadcast theme of the three months is “Improving the Ability of Literature Appreciation through the Broadcast Guidance of Bahasa Indonsia in RRI Surakarta”. The six times broadcast activity planned for three months can be conducted four times of new broadcast and twice of recorded broadcast.

Abstract

Embrace of open source software (OSS) has not been widespread although users ofOSS will gain a lot of benefits and the society and the nation will get many advantages.This writing describes an observation to the understanding and attitude of a group ofstudents towards the use of OSS. The students come from SMK Muhammadiyah 1Surakarta which is a vocational school in Surakarta owned by Muhammadiyahorganization. A survey was conducted during an OSS campaign. Students were facedwith two sets of questionnaires; the first set was given prior and the seoncd after thecampaign. The first set was aimed at identifying the computer literacy of the studentsand their understanding of the open source concept. The second set was aimed atexploring their understanding and attitude towards the use of OSS. Observation showedthat the campaign activity improved students understanding of open source conceptand enhance their attitude to use OSS. However, students were to some extent pragmatic when they were opted to select which software to use to accomplish a task.

Abstract

The issues facing the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Madukoro and Magelang Regency Wonogiri is a low level of understanding of knowledge about SNP, inequalities in educational development, objective conditions of teachers and resources involved have the ability of low, low management capabilities of the madrasa, lack the support of stakeholders in the development of the madrasa. The purpose of the research is accomplishing the implementation system national standards of education through madrasah quality development with the learning media design is good. The methods used are participatory empowerment model i.e. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The results of the devotion to the development of quality learning through the medium of the madrassa showed good results because of the understanding of national standards of education in madrasah is in need of mentoring that is accurate in order to realize a superior madrasah and produce competent graduates through teaching with creative learning media.

Abstract

Mathematics such as the assumption most people as a difficult lesson. This assumption is not entirely wrong because the average NEM value of elementary and middle school math is almost always located below the average value of the other lessons. The abstract nature of mathematics became the main obstacle to learning, especially for students who are still in the development of concrete or semi-concrete thinking. The situation is exacerbated by the use of methods which are still focused on the teacher (teacher center), not focused on students (child center) so that less activate students. Such conditions often found in schools both public and private. A reality that even when this has been attempted to improve the professionalism of teachers through workshops or upgrading, but the results can not be perceived by the public. Lesson study that is currently being developed in many universities believed to be able to increase the professionalism of teachers. Socialization and simulation results Leson Study conducted on January 13, 2010 against Elementary School teachers Gentan by the Development Team of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) and Lesson Study- UMS concluded that: (1) The teachers were very enthusiastic and active during the socialization and stimulation, (2) The teachers want to know more about the RME and Lesson Study, (3) is hoping for a follow up such training so that teachers can implement lesson study in class, and (4) most teachers believe: by applying the approach RME through Lesson Study will help improve students’ understanding of math that the edges will help improve academic achievement.
