Abstract

Embrace of open source software (OSS) has not been widespread although users ofOSS will gain a lot of benefits and the society and the nation will get many advantages.This writing describes an observation to the understanding and attitude of a group ofstudents towards the use of OSS. The students come from SMK Muhammadiyah 1Surakarta which is a vocational school in Surakarta owned by Muhammadiyahorganization. A survey was conducted during an OSS campaign. Students were facedwith two sets of questionnaires; the first set was given prior and the seoncd after thecampaign. The first set was aimed at identifying the computer literacy of the studentsand their understanding of the open source concept. The second set was aimed atexploring their understanding and attitude towards the use of OSS. Observation showedthat the campaign activity improved students understanding of open source conceptand enhance their attitude to use OSS. However, students were to some extent pragmatic when they were opted to select which software to use to accomplish a task.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop and test an electronic learning system asan alternative learning media to read Al-Qur’an. The creation of this learning systemhas through some steps. The steps are references searching, data collecting, systematic creating, and testing. This process involves data collecting from tajwid books and video recording. The capacity of this system is 179 MB including 1.655 files consisting of 1 .exe file. 769 .swf files, 734 .flv video files, 151 mp3 files, and 3 folders. The resulted video has an extention .flv which has a size as big as 250 x 180 pixel. Frame Rate 15 fps, and Bit Rate 260 kbps. The resulted audio extents mp3 that has a Bit Rate 128 kbps, stereo channel and resolusion 16 bit. The questioners that are devided to the 20 users show that this programm is better and completer than tajwid books sold.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sangat dibutuhkan oleh perusahaan dalam menjalankan bisnis guna dapat mengelola data-data di dalamnya agar selalu menumbuhkan profit bagi perusahaan. Rumah industri konfeksi salah satu bidang yang memiliki data-data yang harus dikelola diantaranya data pesanan, penggajian, produk, dan keuangan. Sebanyak 20 rumah industri konfeksi berbasis UMKM di Kota Bandung masih memanfaatkan proses manual dalam pengelolaan data-data selama produksi berjalan, sehingga data-data tersebut rawan terjadi kehilangan dan kerusakan. Pengembangan sistem informasi dijalankan menggunakan metode Waterfall dan dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman website dengan framework CodeIgnter. Sistem informasi menggunakan dukungan perangkat barcode/QR code reader dalam mencatat hasil produksi di konfeksi. Hasil pembangunan sistem secara keseluruhan menghasilkan fitur yang mampu mengelola data-data produksi dan menghasilkan dokumen-dokumen yang dibutuhkan seperi slip gaji, kuitansi, serta laporan-laporan yang dapat digunakan oleh manager bisnis seperti laporan pesanan, penggajian, dan keuangan.

Abstract

The use of smartphone devices has become a part of people's lives in finding the information they need, including finding tourist locations that suit their desires. The problem is when tourism site managers cannot keep up with technological developments needed by the community, where most still use conventional paper media marketing methods such as brochures and travel pocketbooks. Therefore, the development of tourism promotion applications is needed to support the marketing of tourist destinations such as in Pangandaran, West Java. This application's development uses the Prototype method, which only focuses on functionality needs, which uses video media that is displayed with Augmented Reality technology. The results of the development of this application can only display 7 (seven) superior tourism location videos in Pangandaran, West Java.

Abstract

Education for children from an early age is essential because it can affect the growth of children's knowledge at a later age. The introduction of basic daily things can be given to children to make them feel enjoy learning fun objects and make them critical. Educational institutions have widely used the use of information technology from the initial level such as kindergarten. Therefore, the development of learning media is for supporting parents and teachers in providing basic daily knowledge for children. Augmented Reality has features with combining 3D object animation and audio so that the teaching material displayed can be seen in real. This learning media has a very simple and easy to use the display with some menu. When each menu is selected, it will go directly to the camera mode for scanning the teaching marker. This learning media can be used both at school and at home, as well as by teachers or parents and even the child itself.

Abstract

E-learning-based learning has been widely applied in several educational institutions, one of which is Telkom University (Tel-U). Through the Center of e-Learning and Open Education (CeLOE) program established by Tel-U, network-based learning can be enjoyed by students. However, along the way, CeLOE encountered several obstacles, including the very rigid teaching materials that could have an impact on the reduced learning power of students. To solve this, it is necessary to improve the content of the material, especially learning videos by providing designs and animations for lecturer materials which on average contain full text. The approach used is the principle of visual design by utilizing motion graphics as the main aspect of material content with the ultimate goal of making learning videos more interesting and animated. Thus, the material presented can stimulate interest in learning for students at Telkom University.

Abstract

Pengelolaan hosting dan collocation termasuk kegiatan yang diajukan oleh staff satuan kerja di lingkungan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia untuk mempermudah dalam pendaftaran kegiatan hosting, collocation, update data hosting upgrade space hosting dan juga laporan penyerahan hosting. Namun proses yang berlangsung saat ini masih menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Word dan berbasis kertas. Pembangunan sistem ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan kepala bagian dalam proses approval pengajuan kegiatan yang telah diajukan oleh staff satuan kerja. Sistem ini dibangun berbasis website menggunakan framework CodeIgniter, serta dikembangkan menggunakan metode Waterfall. Pengujian sistem menggunakan metode WebQual 4.0 dimana seluruh responden menyatakan bahwa system mudah digunakan, serta memiliki informasi dan interaksi yang berkualitas. Hasil dari pembangunan sistem ini dapat menggantikan proses pengaujuan kegiatan yang semula berbasis kertas menjadi komputeriasasi untuk digunakan dan diterapkan oleh bagian Pusat Data dan Informasi,  Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia.
